Chapter 31: Coming home to Japan
Two weeks of sightseeing and being annoyed by Scrap Eyes and days of having fun, it is time to go home. Ray is looking at a very beautiful ocean sapphire necklace as she is adored to it. "Oh Zarc, I really loved this." Ray complimented, "It really matches my eyes." Zarc begins to go to his wife, since he got her such necklace. "It's an ocean sapphire," Zarc explained, "To remember our trip here. With that said Zarc kissed Ray's cheek in showing affection. To Scrap Eyes however, about leaving, we find him whining and throwing a small temper tantrum. "Awwww!" Whined the little dragon, "I don't wanna leave." Zarc looked at his monster's nephew then goes to Scrap Eyes, picking him up. "Come on buddy," Zarc reassured, "Much as we'd all like to stay in vacation mode, we have a world tournament coming up." Zarc then held the small monster in his arms. "I would think want to miss that!" Zarc spoke, since he is excited about being the world champion duelist, "Champion of the World!" Ray gathered her luggage and goes to her husband. "Anyways, I'm all packed." With that said, Zarc has the monsters to load up the car, then helps Ray get inside, so they can drive to the airport. Ray got in the car as she tries to get comfortable. "Thanks Zarc." She says, "I'm so excited that we're going to be back home, especially having your driver to take us home." Not that's Zarc can't drive anymore, he still can drive. There is one problem about him, he has a problem with alcohol. Yes he doesn't know the word moderation, at least he didn't became abusive from so much drinking. "Not used to driving myself." Zarc agreed as he drives along, "I'm looking forward to having a personal driver again!" Ray and Zarc remembered that a week ago, Zarc was drunk and driving and his wife have to pray to god, asking for forgiveness for Zarc's stupidity. Running over three stop signs and nearly running over people, they finally crashed to a fire hydrant, exploding it geyser style. Now that is over, Ray shook that memory out of her mind then looked at her husband who is sober for now. "Yea he is good," Ray agreed, "I mean I remember the last time you drove." Mentioning such memory, Zarc shivered a bit (a/n I hope Zarc have some insurance after that accident.) "... Huh..." Zarc thought, "Maybe I do have a drinking problem." Only three hours later, they arrived to the airport and Zarc starts parking. Once parked, Zarc helps Ray out of the car and they hop through security and into the plane much easier this time.
After they got on the plane, it took off back to Japan, where their home is at. Ray looked through the window, watching the water she has been passed by then looked at her husband. "Thanks." Spoke the wife, "Security can be jerks." Zarc has his eyes on a novel that is the story titled, "Fault of our stars". "Makes me wonder what we can expect when we land..." As he read, he is plotting something. Something that will happen in the future. He marked a chapter then looks at his wife, who is looking at the ocean. "The ocean is so beautiful." Ray spoke the obvious. Zarc has an idea for moving. "Oh," he spoke, Would you be happy if we lived near it?" Ray then looked at her husband, so she can converse with him. "you love beaches, so I thought our own home would be near it." Ray thinks for a minute then answered, "So yes." Zarc puts the book away so it won't be in the way as he chuckle. "Want an island?" Ray thought about it. It would be nice but it would be lonely at the same time. So she thought of this to settle the score a bit. "Yes." She answered, "Also with neighbors." Yes having neighbors sounds nice but to Zarc, he frowned and answered no. No?! What does he mean no?! Ray pouted from the answer he came up. From such reaction, Aria popped out from Ray's purse then assumed, "I guess he isn't used to neighbors." Ray is curious on what happened there. "What happened?" She asked. Starve venom, who is in Zarc's deck box, explained that Zarc made a bad impression on meeting the neighbors two years ago. "People are disgusting." Zarc rudely comment, "Also, might still have a drinking problem." Ray got an idea. She explained to Zarc that after the tournament, they can put himself into rehab so he can recover. Zarc looked at his wife as he's doing a cheeky grin. "Ha!" He interjected, "Its only a problem if I run out!" Ray giggles from Zarc's answer. "Oh stop it you!" With that, she playfully slaps him.
Next day, the gang finally arrived back to their home country. When they got off the plane, they find security but only this time, security doesn't bother them. In fact, they all seem a little terrified. Zarc grinned from how they're reacting. "Huh they seem terrified," Ray stated the obvious, "Probably from what clear wings is wearing." As she stated, we did find indeed what Clear Wings is wearing. The synchro monster to our eyes, he was wearing floaters, swimming trunks, a Dino like float, socks, and sandals. Zarc smiled casually, knowing Ray has forgotten they can't be seen by anyone else. He knows why they're scared. And they should be. He picks up his bags and Ray's and loads them up, ready for the ride home. "I really had a great time Zarc." Ray stated, "And I'm surprised Japan is the only country that has so much technology." Zarc starts his car, after he and Ray got into the car. "It was refreshing to see a place where everything was more real." He said, "Solid Vision gets on my nerves you know." Ray lays her head back on the seat, know Zarc is right about Solid Vision.
