Chapter 33: Watching the dolly
Morning comes, bright and early. And we find Zarc smiling at Ray's sleeping face. It has been two or three weeks now since they got married. Zarc got up to make breakfast for his wife as Ray is stirring in her sleep, with her hand on her abdomen. Zarc pulled out some things for pancakes and bacon to put the pancakes in (a/n Adventure Time anyone?). Zarc then pulled out a frying pan and he went on making Bacon Pancakes. Zarc sings about making Bacon Pancakes as he makes Bacon Pancakes for himself and his wife. Ray woke up from the aroma then follows it. In her surprise she finds her husband, singing and making breakfast. Zarc spotted his wife who just woke up. "Oh honey," he says, "You're up!" Ray smelled the kitchen; the smell smells so nice. Ray scratched her head in trying to wake up more. "Morning." The tired She duelist spoke, "Smells so good. What is it?" Zarc begins to sing the answer. "Bacon Pancaaaaaaaakes!" Zarc then served four pancakes to Ray's plate. Zarc served himself four as well as Ray sat down to eat. "Thank you." Ray spoke as she then took a bite. "Oh wow, so yummy and creative." Indeed it is creative, but where did Zarc get the idea? Ray looked at her husband in curiosity. "Where did you learn it?" Zarc remembered that he learned such recipe from the show "Adventure Time" when he is watching one of Starve Venom younger siblings. If he tells her about it, she would give him a slap in the back of the head after breakfast. "Food Network." he lied. Ray looked at him in suspicion but shrugs it off. "Wherever you get it from," Ray begins to speak, "It is good." Zarc munches on his pancakes in glee as he watches his wife eats as well. Soon the couple finished their breakfast and they begin to get dressed and ready for the day. Zarc has to make his appearance at the field for the championship in a week and decided to go to his usual job after this. Zarc then goes to his wife to kiss her goodbye. "I have to go now Ray," Zarc reminded, Have a nice day sweetie." Zarc kissed Ray on the lips. " Thank you babe." The wife replied, "See you soon." Zarc then goes into his car, starts it up, and then went off to the stadium.
At the stadium, Zarc is waving at his fans as he smiles. Standing with his fellow competitors, when his phone buzzes. Its his new app. It informs him Ray had dialed a new number. The device he installed is a tracker. Zarc look into the app as he is checking who Ray called. The App showed Zarc that Ray is hanging out with Shinji but only as friends for coffee. Odd Eyes looked at Zarc in concern. "What is wrong?" Odd Eyes asked. Zarc looked at his monster. "Oh Ray is going out for coffee this afternoon." Zarc answered, "I should keep an eye on her to be sure." With that said, Zarc is called up for the duel. Once Zarc won a few minutes later, he left the stadium to head to his doll shop. Once arrived, he find his aunt Maria, like normal selling dolls Zarc created with his powers. He then went downstairs to his workshop, where he has everything he need to build a doll. Zarc sat down on his desk and begins to make one doll that is perfect for the forever shelf that used to be Saria's, his mother. Zarc sewn a beautiful powder pink wig to the doll's head as he then pulls out a beautiful white and pink dress for the body. Zarc stops for a minute then thinks. Why on earth Ray would go out for coffee with Shinji. Is she cheating him? Is she...?! Zarc shook his head trying to get his head together. Soon the doll is done and he placed it to the shelf of Saria's and he begins to make more. Zarc looked at one doll that has a blond wig and wears a white wedding dress. It suppose to be a gift for Ray on their anniversary someday. When it's now two, in the afternoon. Zarc leaves the basement so he can leave to spy on Ray. "See you later Maria." Zarc spoke to his aunt. She waves as Zarc heads out the door and begins to drive off to spy on Ray and her friend.
Few minutes later, Zarc arrived to a coffee shop and he then hides in one of the giant plants to spy on the two people. With that done, Zarc hears everything that Ray and Shinji said. Ray mentioned to Shinji that she has the ability to see and speak with monsters and it came from her mom. The two then started to talk about Zarc. "I never imagined you'd end up with the greatest duelist of our time." Shinji stated as Zarc clenched in envy, "So, I'm guessing you're a pro duelist now too!" It hit Zarc big time. He got a nice compliment from a human who works at a pizza restaurant. Zarc smiled from such words. "Well, he is right," Zarc spoke, "I am awesome." Ray begins to describe Zarc as a really sweet, He's handsome, and strong man, who will do anything to keep her safe and sound. Shinji looked at Ray with slight worry. "He sounds like the perfect guy... " He said mixing sorrow and sweetness in his voice. Ray noticed the look on Shinji's face. What's the matter with him? Why is he sad? What's going on? Ray asked Shinji what's happening and all Shinji could say as she shook a little is, "... It's... its okay..." To Shinji's monsters, Shinji is not okay. Ray is getting suspicious on Shinji as she is worried for him. "Why?" Ray asked in worry, "What happened?" Shinji shook even more, making his monsters cry. "Ray..." Shinji speaks, "I..." Ray got even more worried and started to get impatient. "What is it Shinji?" Ray asked in fear, "What?! What?!" In a few seconds, as Zarc is spying in the flower pot, Shinji couldn't take it any longer. "... I think I need to leave..." With that said, Ray and Shinji got up. He gathered his things up, pays the bill for both of them, and then heads out. "Shinji." Ray says as she goes to her friend, "If you need someone to cry on the shoulder," Ray explained, "Come to me, zarc and I can help." Shinji breathed heavily, starting to calm down. "That..." Shinji spoke, "That's very sweet of you..." Zarc listens in to the rest of the conversation, inside the flower pot. "I'm glad I found you.." Shinji stated, "I think I needed that." Shinji then smiles for real this time and that made Zarc snap from what he heard (a/n Uh-oh...He's going Yuno Gasai.) Shinji and Ray hugged and went separate ways. Before Ray leaves, she felt like she's being watched by Zarc. She looked inside the flower pot and hoists Zarc out of there, not really happy. "Gah!" Zarc exclaimed, "The heck!" Ray glared at her husband, who is the suspect on spying on her. "I know you're peeping when I feel it." Ray angrily explained, "Now what is it you want?!" Zarc begins to wiggle loose and falls over to the ground. "Alright, you caught me," He admitted, "But I had a good reason to be suspicious!" Ray angrily asked Zarc why is he spying on her in the first place. She then explained that she and Shinji just went out as friends and there is nothing wrong with that. Zarc protested the answer but yet he noticed something on Shinji. The demon then ask for what is wrong and Ray answered, " Well I noticed he got really sad." She said, "He's hiding something." Ray helped Zarc up as she speaks. "Whatever it is, I must know." Zarc got on his feet thanks to Ray's help. "Why do you care?" Zarc asked who is dusting himself off the ground. "I am getting the feeling he needs that secret out." Ray concluded, "But need help with it." Zarc and Ray begins to argue about Shinji don't have the same ability as the couple does. As they argue, Zarc's monsters and Ray's monsters watch the two fight, making mocking lip-syncing moves (a/n I've been watching too much TDI. XD). Zarc then pouts in defeat and looks at his wife. "Look when we find him again," Ray begins to explain, "We'll pry on him a bit and tell him there is nothing to say that to be ashamed of." Zarc then held up a boxer glove in his hand. "And that's when I beat his ass, right?" With that said, Ray put up an unamused, are-you-fucking-shitting-me or seriously look (a/n Spongebob (giggles) Sandy with the Really man look.)
