Chapter 11: Phnom Penh '86
With the location of the gang who ripped off Ronaldo Diaz located, he's now ready to make a move against the people who wronged him. Following a phone call received by Lincoln, he goes to Diaz's mansion to inquire on what to do next. We see Ronaldo is talking to someone on the phone while walking down the stairs, seems like he had a disagreement with the said respondent.
"What kind of incompetent fool are you?" He then kept shouting at the phone "FOOL! FOOL! FOOL! FOOL!" hearing enough from that, he slams the phone to the ground, after reaching the ground level he sees Lincoln and calls him "Lincoln!"
Lincoln, arrived just on time upon calling him and asks a bit boredly, "What, Ronaldo?"
"These idiots…they're always trying to screw you. That's the problem with this business." He's speaking to Lincoln with his hand on his shoulder to ease him down, probably thinking he got a bit scared after his recent rant.
As they were walking while talking, he then sees a vase, and promptly throws the thing across the room "What do you think you're doing?" Lincoln manages to dodge the flying vase on time. He then looks back at Lincoln, explaining again"These pricks have failed me miserably, Soon any mom and pop will think they can sell gallo in Vice City."
"What next, huh? The stinking Mafia?!" he's somewhat grown very paranoid of every single one who's worked with him. Or maybe he just lost his touch. "That gang place is a fortress at ground level, so Quentin here…Quentin! QUENTIN!"
Calling someone from far, the Quentin Ronaldo spoke of was none other than Lexx Vance used a fake name as to not garner heat around him. "He'll fly you over the area! Eradicate them!" that last line was like a sound of desperation to eliminate the gang. He then again sees some object to vent his frustration to and rushes at it "What do you think you're doing?"
Lincoln, shocked by the discovery asks Lexx, "What are you doing here?"
"Hey, I've been asking around and it's obvious that Diaz jumped the deal and iced my brother."
Lincoln, concerned a bit that this man might be in danger, warns him "And he'll kill you too!"
Lexx, obviously cocky at this point, confidently says, "I can take Diaz!"
Lincoln, now serious, says to Lexx sternly, "No…listen to me! I'll handle Diaz…He's beginning to trust me."
Hearing this, Lexx agreed to back off for now. They then both ride the helicopter to Prawn Island where the safehouse of the gang is.
While on the way, Lincoln asks curiously to Lexx, "One thing puzzling me, what's with 'Quentin?!' "
Lexx just shrugged "I dunno, I always kinda liked it…Quentin Vance…"
Lincoln, surprised, laughed a bit and asks "Vance? Your name's Lexx Vance?"
Lexx, got a bit triggered by what he just asked, resented back "Hey! I got enough of that at school!"
Lincoln laughed a bit and sighs to regain his composure " Lexx Vance. Poor bastard. Where the hell are we headed anyway?"
"Prawn Island." He then pointed to a mounted M60 Machine Gun on the back side "You ever fired one of those from a whirly?"
"No. I'll get a bit of practice on the way though."
"Ok we're almost there. We'll make a couple of passes. So take out as many guns as you can. Then I'll set you down and you're on your way."
Once they arrive, Lincoln uses the M60 to kill several groups of gang members on the mansion roofs.
"Damn! This is a war zone! Take out some of those gunmen! We're taking hits here man!" Lexx said while trying to avoid the gunfire from below.
"This thing ain't cheap to fix! Take them out!" Lincoln luckily manage to finish the men on the rooftop as well as some others who are guarding the mansion. Once they were in the clear, Lexx lands the helicopter on the ground and then looks at Lincoln, "Ok, you're on your own from here! Good luck, brother!" He then flies off to avoid the gunfire and will come back to pick up Lincoln after he succeeds.
Lincoln enters the the eastern mansion and fights his way through, killing several gang members and eventually making his way up to the roof where he collects the money. Lexx reappears to collect Lincoln and they fly back to Diaz's mansion.
After the stunt they pulled, Lincoln then receives a phone call and proceeds to pick it up.
"Lincoln, it's me, Colonel Cortez. Look señor, I believe you are a man who can get things done. So please help me. You can find me at the boat."
Lincoln then hangs up. Guess his troubles with Cortez is far from over.
