Chapter 17: Rub Out

With Cortez out of Vice City and Lexx fully recovered, it was now time to set Lincoln's plan into motion. Lincoln was waiting on Starfish Island, hoping Lexx would arrive not a moment too soon. Then Lexx came and opened the trunk of the back of the car he was driving.

"I got us some cannons in the trunk." Showing Lincoln, M4 Carbines, which had should not be released on the market just yet. Lincoln was surprised and impressed as to how Lexx got these weapons.

(Historical Note: There is a historical inconsistency in the world of GTA. Despite the M4A1 being shown in 1993 and went in service in 1994, designed during 1983-1993. Since Vice City is set in 1986, it wouldn't have even made it into production phase. So just bear with it)

"Holy Shit! Were'd you get all this stuff?"

Lexx just smirked and says "Been saving it for a rainy day. You like?"

After hearing that, he darkly smirked and chuckled "Yeah, I like."

While sitting on a sofa, Ronaldo, was checking the CCTV, when he spotted Lincoln and Lexx sneaking their way into the mansion, angered by their presence, he ordered his men to set up a perimeter around his mansion.

"This place is going to be crawling with assholes…be careful…" he carefully told Lexx while they were sneaking their way into the mansion.

"Don't worry Lincoln, I'll cover you." He replied back.

After fighting their way through the back side of the mansion, they eventually arrive on the back entrance, Lincoln then confidently says. "Diaz must be inside!"

Once inside, they fight their way through a flight of stairs leading to the main hall. Eventually, they reached the main hall where the see Diaz waiting for them,

"Diaz?! I've come to take over your business!" he shouted at Ronaldo.

"LINCOLN! You betrayed me, you idiot! I'm gonna kill you real soon…" he shouted back at Lincoln because he was very angry at him for betraying him.

Lexx then shouted "Eat this, you murdering bastard!"

Diaz has a few guards as protection. But Lincoln and Lexx gave it all they've got to take down Diaz. And after all that, they managed to gun down his men as well as Diaz who is now crawling back up the stairs.

Ronaldo, gritting his teeth with blood, shouted "You stupid pricks…my beautiful house…look what you've done to it!"

Lexx and Lincoln walked slowly to him, with Lexx holding a Desert Eagle and Lincoln, a Magnum .357, angry at Diaz, Lexx kicked him "This is for my brother!"

Ronaldo, with his final words spat angry words at them "I trusted you, Lincoln…" Lincoln just stared at him with a cold stare. He then looked at Lexx and nodded "I woulda had you made…"

"Say goodnight, Mr. Diaz…" both of them pointing their gun at Ronaldo's face. Silencing him forever.

After killing Ronaldo Diaz, he has now claimed his property, as well as his business, calling it the Vercetti Estate. A few hours after the shooting, he receives a phone call.

"Lincoln, remember me?"

Lincoln, immediately recognized who it was, it was Lori Forelli, obviously pissed off at her, he coldly replied "Hello, Lori."

Lori laid back and said "That's right, Lori. We're old friends. You never write me, you never call. Don't you want to be friends no more?"

Lincoln bluntly replied "I've been busy trying to sort things out. You didn't give me a lot of support down here, Lori."

Lori, taken back a bit calm but angrily said "Oh, my fault is it? Well, I've heard you've been busy all right. Busy killing drug barons. Busy taking over. Don't forget about us, Lincoln. Cause I can assure you. I ain't forgetting about you."

Lincoln then hangs up. Seems like he had enough of Lori and the family. He could leave the family right there and then, but he wasn't powerful enough. So he decides, before leaving the family, he'll have to take over this town first.
