Chapter 54: The Reunion
After Ray, her children, and her monsters escaped the fortress, they are heading to where the Resistance are hiding. Aria looks back as she is so crossed but scared for Odd-Eyes. "Odd-Eyes just ruined his life to save ours!" Aria cried, "It's not right!" Schuberta turns to her niece as she held her arms gently. "He'll be alright, Odd-Eyes can play dumb about our escape." Schuberta spoke in reassuring, "He is a good friend." Schuberta turned away a bit. "The only one who comforted me below..." Kite helps Ray and the monsters past a few security measures, including a vault door. He turns to Ray so he can tell her what's going on. "Zarc doesn't know it, but we're living right under his nose in the sewers of the old city." The doll got grossed out from what she is hearing. What kind of a moron who thought the sewers would make a good hiding base. Even the monsters were grossed out from what they're hearing. Catherine just coughed up a hairball in disgust and saw it rolled away. "That sounds disgusting." Judged the doll. Kite rolled his eyes then looks. "You slept with Zarc." He pointed out, "Voluntarily." He kept driving his glider as he speaks, "Which one of us is disgusting now?" The two argued about the sewer and how her sex life was ONCE again. They're almost to the HQ as Ray asked who's idea is to have a sewer for a hiding spot. Once they arrive, waiting for Kite and Ray with her children and Monsters, is Scrap-Eyes Pendulum Dragon: The Co-leader of the Resistance. Scrap-Eyes did his signature fanfare. "Dragling Power!" He cried, "I am happy that you're safe Ray!" The doll is not amused from the answer she is seeing. "Figures." Kite hushed the small dragon as he is telling Scrap-Eyes that Ray's children are asleep. Leo heard the commotion so he follows it. "Whats going on-!" Before he even finished the sentence, he saw his daughter he had not seen months, right before his eyes. "Ray?" He asked in shock and making sure, "You're alive?!" He races over to Ray and hug his daughter. Ray hugs back with tears of joy in her eyes. "I miss you dad." The doll admitted. Sonata looked at Scrap-Eyes as he wondered how did she escape. "Ray had it hard that she have to leave Zarc to save ourselves." Sonata answered, "From the thoughts she had, she's attached to him but has no choice."
Moments later, Ray is at Zarc's lab as she is being checked on if Zarc had hurt her. "Oh Ray, what did that monster do to you?!" Leo begins to shine a small flashlight to check on her eyes. "Are you alright?" He asked, "He didn't hurt you, did he?" Ray shook her head, knowing that Zarc wouldn't DARE to hurt her. "I'm okay dad, he treated me like a princess, dressed me up as a porcelain doll and all that." Ray explained even further, "But he didn't hurt me not even once." Ray got off the examining table and smoothed her dress down a bit. "And dad there's also someone I would like you to meet." Leo perked up a bit to listen to his daughter. "Meet?" He asked, "You mean you're monsters right?" Leo remembered on how he didn't believe Ray and how he put her in the asylum for not believing her. Everything she said about her monsters, are true. Guilt risen inside Leo, "I'm sorry Ray, I should have believed you." Ray forgave her father as she told him that she's okay, reassuring him that she isn't hurt. Aria came to Leo and now seen to his eyes, thanks to the solid vision bracelet she is given by Scrap-Eyes. "But he did made her as a living porcelain doll." The Melodious dive then shows the photos of Ray in different makeup designs and dresses to Leo. "He was pretty good to her." Leo apologized to his daughter once more a he obtains the pictures. Ray knew that Zarc was so kind to her at least then asked her father if he likes what Zarc does with Ray. "When you're done dad," Ray began, "I still want you to meet your grandkids." Leo is shocked from what he heard. His only daughter had one, No! Two children with Zarc. He turns to his only baby girl if she REALLY did had the twins. "Grandkids?!" He cried in shock (a/n yea that will give a dad a nasty shock.), "Oh Ray, they aren't his, are they?" Ray gave her father a sad look. She knew that she have to tell the truth. "Sadly yes." She answered, "Please don't take my children..."
Leo stood there in shock. She had given birth to spawns of Zarc. Has she lost her mind?! Why would she bear his children?! Why would she be "lucky" enough to be the children's Maria?! Leo got himself to talk to his daughter. "Ray, there is no way we can keep these... things here!" Leo protested, "They're descendants of Zarc, the demon who destroyed the world!" Ray pleaded to her dad that they needed a mother. She even told her father that once Zarc is dead, they won't become his warriors. Leo rubbed his forehead. "Zarc isn't dead, is he?" He asked. Ray knew that Zarc is not dead YET. "no but scrap eyes told me you got something that will stop him right?" Leo remembered something then goes to his computer. "We're working on it, but I'm not at a breakthrough yet." Leo opened up a file and shows it to his daughter. "Ray, I don't think you understand." Leo spoke, "The only thing keeping Zarc calm all these months was you being near him." Leo closes the file on his computer. "Now that you're here..." Ray stops his word so she can speak. She told Leo that he is right about Zarc the whole time. He is right that Zarc is a monster. Ray even told him that she left Zarc because she can't stand Zarc's reign any longer. With all of her heart, she loves him very much. With him mad as a hatter, she has no choice but leave him. "And I know if I leave, he will find me in any way he could imagine." Leo shook his head worry then turns to his daughter. "Ray, until Zarc is dead, you can not leave this place." Leo gently made Ray a vow, "Zarc is plotting something, and if he gets a hold of you again, I wouldn't be able to handle it..." Ray begins to understand her father. "I will take the risk." She vowed "I will fight." Ray looks at Kite who are tending her children. Aria goes to Leo as she is curious on how he reacted towards the photos. "What do you think of the pictures?" Leo is quite disturbed from what he is looking. Zarc treated Ray as his own doll, not just as a wife. "Honesty, I'm a little disturbed that he kept my daughter restrained like this so long..." Kite looks at the photos as well. A pink blush spreads across his cheeks. Scrap-Eyes was the last to look at the pictures. "you know Maroon looks good on you Ray." Scrap-Eyes complimented, "I got to admit though, Zarc has a strange obsession for dolls." Leo shook a bit. What kind of sick and twisted man who turns his only daughter into a plaything. "My daughter is not that madman's... PLAYTHING!" With that said, Leo punches some equipment in his lab.
Ray is scared a bit and heard her children crying. She goes to them that is in Kite's arms and she obtains them. She soothed them into calmness and they had fallen asleep. She sighed in relief as their attempt then looks at her father. "Please Dad let me help you win this fight." Ray pleaded to her father. Of course she even pleaded for her dad not to make his only daughter to hurt her kids. Since she has them just last month. Scrap-Eyes goes to the basket that Catherine is carrying and took an apple from the basket then eats it. "I must admit one kid does look like his dad but he has your eyes Ray." Scrap-Eyes then swallows his bite as he looks at the twins. Kite watches Ray, intently as we see Leo tugging his hair out. "Oh god, what can we do here..." Ray gives her children to Kite so he can take them to the female members, who can watch them. "We can find a way to stop Zarc." Ray suggested, "I can help." The hopes are high for the Resistance. They had gained a new member. Since she knows about Zarc and how to stop them, this will be the best bet they can get. Scrap-Eyes goes to Ray and gave her old clothing that he remembers before the war. "If that is the case," Scrap-Eyes began his sentence, "Welcome to the resistance!" Ray turned to Scrap-Eyes and smiled warmly. She picks him up and gave him a hug. 'I am a warrior.' Ray thinks to herself, 'And I know how to fix this mess.'
