Chapter 56: The Fall of Supreme Dragon King Zarc
The Dragon like amalgamate rose like a phoenix as he spreads his wings. He let out a blast, ripping a crater of death through the earth. Millions die. The earth rattles in fear. Ray watched in horror as she held onto her squirming children. She ran back into the underground hideout as Kite follows, giving Leo the bad news. Leo looked at his members. "What happened?" He asked in a stern voice. Ray knew that Zarc is going to be such way if she leaves him; even though it is the right thing to do. She begins to utter a word to her father. "Zarc got mad." Ray replied. Leo is concerned and asked how mad did the demon get. Without warning, Ray took her father and they got to the surface and showed him how mad Zarc got. Leo's eye popped. He saw something that will destroyed the whole planet. He watched in fear as we see the monster, laying waste to the city. "Oh... my god... this is... this is madness..." The monster roared in anger as he smelled Leo and Ray from afar. 'LEO AKABA!' The voice rings loudly, shaking everything. 'I KNOW YOU HAVE MY RAY! YOU HAVE TWO OPTIONS! SURRENDER HER TO ME, AND I'LL SPARE THE LIVES OF YOUR LITTLE RESISTANCE, FOR NOW! OR KEEP HER HIDDEN, AND I'LL BURN OUT THE CITY AND FIND YOUR HIDING PLACE, AND VERY SLOWLY MURDER EVERYONE YOU CARE ABOUT!' Leo shook his head then looks at his daughter. "Ray... underground now... go!" He ordered. Ray remembered something. Her father made four cards that will stop Zarc. She looked at her father with concern and hope. "What about the cards you're developing?" Leo goes back inside to the sewers as Ray did the same.
They entered the scientist's lab and Leo opens his briefcase, within it contains the new En cards. En Birds, En Winds, En Moon and En Flowers. "These are the results of my research... the new En cards... they must be played in order, by one player. Leo explained, "Zarc has called me out... I have to go face him myself..." Ray refused to let her father go out there and face Zarc. She knew that this is her mess to clean up. Her china to patch up. Her tapestry to stitch up. "No..." The mother took the cards and placed them into her deck, along with her monsters she summoned up to help with the fight. "I will face him." Ray vowed, "I made this mess he done, and I am going to clean it up." She ran off and out of the underground base. Leo gathered Ray's children and got Scrap-Eyes on his shoulder. He went after Ray to stop her. "Ray!" Leo cried, "Stop! You can't face that animal!" He tries to stop her. She stops for a minute to see that her father is behind her. "Don't you even dare try to stop me." Ray ordered, "Dad can you promise me one thing?" Leo tries to protest but he heard the monster roared once more. 'TICK TOCK LEO!' Ray stops her father at his tracks. "Dad just trust me..." Leo tries to protest once more. All the sudden, Saria, the mother of Zarc, Appeared as a ghost once more right before Leo's eyes. Leo freezes in shock from the sight. He doesn't even know ghosts actually exist. Saria put her hands together in a pleading formation. "Please my old friend, she can stop him." Saria spoke in reasoning. Leo shook a bit in fear. How can this be possible though?! He managed to man up to speak. "It... it can't be!" Saria put her hands down as she smiled warmly. "Hello Leo." She greeted, "It's been a while has it?" Leo is still in shock. How did she got to earth still?! "You're... you couldn't possibly be...!" Saria hushed him gently then begins to speak. "I can come down from the skies time to time." She answered, "Leo...you must let your daughter go out there." she goes to Ray and stood next to the daughter in law. "She tamed him into a lover, and now she will put him down." She explained, "I have a good feeling that she will be determined enough to stop my son." Ray still full of guilt in her since it is her mess. "Please dad...let me go." Leo couldn't believe it. Ray never told him that she is the only person who have to do this. "I.. I.. oh Ray..." he begins to sobs, for he knows he will loose his daughter to death. "I can't lose my daughter again!" Zarc roared even more, getting even more angry. 'I'M GETTING IMPATIENT LEO!' He roared, 'YOU HAVE 30 SECONDS! 30... 29... 28...' Leo hugs his daughter tightly then released her as he shook. "... I'll protect your children... my grandkids..." He vowed as his voice starts to break up, "They're all I have left..." Ray look at Saria in meaning will she be there for Ray. Saria smiled warmly to Ray as she knew she will. "I will be right by your side." The mother looks at her father then begins to speak. "Don't let anything happen to them if Zarc or me or both of us didn't survive." With that said, The mother ran off as she has her duel disk with her monsters and the cards.
'23... 22... 21... 20... 19...' The monster kept counting down. Ray and Saria are trying to get Zarc. Just their luck, there is a skyscraper near where the dragon is, Ray can make it to the top in time... The mother and the mother in law climbed up on the skyscraper and encountered Zarc. Ray got the monster's full on attention with a yell. "ZARC IT'S THIS WHO YOU ARE LOOKING FOR?!" The monster turned and see Ray with Saria. The female demon ghost is not happy with Zarc's attempts. She stand beside Ray with arms crossed. "Zarc Lucifer Diablou, You are in so much trouble young man!" Zarc growled as he saw Ray turning on her duel disk summoning her monsters: Schuberta, Star, Winter Bell, and Catherine. 'DON'T INTERFERE!' Zarc roared as Saria is forced away from them with just one wind attack of the wings, 'THIS MOMENT IS FOR US ALONE!' A thick force field surrounds them both, blocking out any other interference. In these walls, Zarc's voice can be heard more normally, though still distorted. "Ray... you came for me!" He cried, "Why did you run from me?" Ray knew why. She left him to save her friends, family, and her sanity. She looks at her monsters and she is given a soft shoulder rub from Schuberta's hand. "We'll be with you til the end Ray." She vowed with the rest of the monsters, "After all we're family." Ray nods then looks back at Zarc. "You destroyed my world, you corrupted my mind, and you killed so many people I know as well as you will someday poison our children's mind making them do the same thing." Ray accused the demon as she is answering his question, "Now this time I will not fall for your sin any longer." The porcelain beauty kick up the holding capacity of her duel disk to open up spell card mode and not just her monster. You failed to make me forget who I am or what I do..." Ray pulls out the four En cards as with the four monsters held hands to prepare themselves. "Even though we might still love each other, love hurts as much as I do this." She then summons the En cards. "It's for your own good Zarc, I will not tolerate your actions any longer. She spoke as her voice starts to break with tears coming down, "So reveal yourself from the dragon's body so we can get this over with." The cards activate, making it glow and so did the elements. Ray absorbed the natural stuff including the father pants from the experimental rooms that is from the church fortress and her own monsters in the field. She began the incantation that is in the cards saying "On brightest days, on blackest nights. I will not let any demon escape my sight. Let those who worships Satan's might. Beware my power..." As she speaks the incantation, four bracelets appear on her arm cause of the En magic. She then cries out the last part of the incantation. "Jesus Christ's light!" Once the incantation is complete, the bracelets glowed brightly as sunlight.
Zarc roars in pain! 'YOU BITCH!' Zarc cried, 'HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?!' He slinks back further. 'UNFORGIVABLE!' Zarc gets weaker from the light of the flowers, birds, wind, and moon. 'YOU'RE UNFORGIVABLE!' He roared in pain, 'WE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE ONE!' Pain rips through his body, splitting him on the inside. 'I.. I CAN'T' The dragons rip apart as Ray's monsters does the same from Ray's powers, and for a moment, the real Zarc slips through. His eyes meet hers... and still, his heart melts. A very sad smile crosses his face, as he reaches to her... as the final shock splits himself and her apart... 'I'm so sorry... I just wanted to make you happy...' Ray understood what Zarc is telling. What he said is the truth. Ray's fingers entwined with his. "I know you never mean to." Ray reassured before her death, "We'll make this work and this time we'll do it right and as four people each." Once their final word is said, they shared one last kiss. As they do, Zarc's life flashed right before his eyes: his mother, his father, his monsters, the school, the tournaments, his aunt, the war, the victims, the birth of his children, and that special day in the park where Ray and Zarc became a couple. Before they finally split to four, Zarc and Ray embraced in a form of a heart splitting into four persons for each dimension.
Once they all split that such power exploded into a sonic boom restoring and reviving everything and everyone who had been killed by Zarc and in the resistance as they got no recollection of memory of what happen. Scrap eyes, Leo, the twins, the fairies (who are not in four different dimensions as the dragons are the same), and Saria's ghost however remembers the event between ray and Zarc. Scrap-Eyes saw that everything has restored. he smiled in relief and in glee at the same time. "She did it!" The dragling cried, "She finally stood up against him." In time, he saw Odd eyes and Schuberta, who is now well-fed, beautiful, and healthy again remembered the incident then found Scrap-eyes themselves. "Uncle odd eyes!" Scrap-Eyes ran to Odd-Eyes and Schuberta then hugs the two monster tightly with tears in his eyes. "This time, we'll do it right!"
