Chapter 36: Epilogue

After a few seconds of darkness, Lincoln is blinded by a white light. Once it was over, he had woken up, not in the Vercetti Estate nor somewhere in 'Vice City'; it was a place he was very familiar with, 1216 Franklin Avenue. He was home. Still trying to regain his senses after his long slumber, he can now hear clearly who was calling him, "Lincoln….wake up…come on…" turning around, he realized who it was. It was his sister Luan telling him to wake up. "Linc, come on get up, breakfast is ready and you need to get downstairs."

He still couldn't speak a word because he was still very groggy after being asleep for who knows when, probably forever. All he replied to her was a simple nod and she immediately understood. After that, he followed her sister out of his room, and that's where the noises start coming, you could see right off the distance Luna, who's playing her guitar in the morning. Glancing a lot more, he could see Lisa, working on her experiments as usual; and just right across his genius sister's room is the twin's room where he saw them, as always, arguing over something petty.

Once he got downstairs, the scent of freshly cooked pancakes and the sweet aroma of syrup hit his nose. And that revitalized his senses a bit and he's a bit more awake. "Mmmmm…Smells delicious…" it was the first thing he said while glancing around the house, as if he was new to the place. Then someone responded to his comment, "Of course it's delicious, I literally made it myself." Looking to where it came from, he saw that is was Lori who responded. "Guys….Breakfast is ready!" Lori called to everyone else who haven't come down yet. And after hearing the call, they all went down and proceeded to sit down at the table, Lincoln did so too.

Noticing something strange about her brother, Lori asked Lincoln "Lincoln, you alright? Why you keep glancing around?" Lincoln looked at her curious about the question she gave to him, Luna also asked him "Yeah dude, kinda looks like you haven't been here before." Lincoln was about to respond when Lisa immediately checked up on him by flashing light on his eyes "Hmm…he's awake, I don't see a problem here." He finally responded "Knock it off Lisa." Lisa complied and went back to her seat. Lincoln breathed and said "Yeah guys, I'm fine. I just….had a totally weird dream…"

Hearing that, most of them were interested on what that dream was. Lynn asked first "Was it you and me being the coolest sports duo ever?" Lincoln shook his head. Lucy then asked "Was it about you becoming a vampire and taking me as your bride?" Everyone was shocked by what she just said. Luan then said to her "I think you read way too much books, spooky." Going back to Lincoln, his response was the same, it wasn't his dream. Then everyone started bombarding him with questions. Overwhelmed by all of them, he shouted immediately "Guys Stop!"

Everyone stopped asking. He breathed to calm down a bit and said "Guys, none of what you asked was my dream. My dream was different, I think I was some sort of Italian mafia who went on to become a powerful leader. And what's weird is that…" He then pointed to Luan "You were there, I think you were a lawyer who was crazy and was working for me…" He pointed to Lori "You were there too, but you were my boss and we became enemies…I think some of you guys were there, in one way or another I guess…"

After hearing what his dream was, Lori then responded "That's a weird dream Linc. I think you've been playing too much video games." Everyone nodded at the statement. Lincoln just sheepishly chuckled and said "Heheh..yeah I guess…" Everyone just laughed at how silly the thing was, and everyone proceeded on eating the breakfast. We then pan farther and farther from the kitchen table and take the viewpoint to the television across the room, we see a console on the floor. There was a game beside the console, moving closer and closer to the disc, we see what that game was….

It was…

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
