Chapter 46: Murphy's Law

AN: Hey everyone! I want to let you know I've worked really hard on this chapter and I hope you like it!

***I don't own anything in this story, so please don't sue me.***

"What are you doing up here? This is a sacred area." Regal spoke in a stern, fatherly tone.

"I told them to come up, Regal." Raine informed the man. "Virginia is taking a look at that injured Braixen downstairs and it's clear that something is bothering Samantha. Samantha isn't one to damage property; especially if it doesn't belong to her."

"Who is Alicia?" Samantha asked. Regal sighed and shook his head.

"Someone dear to me. She…met an unfortunate end. I…forgive me, but perhaps we can change topics."

"Mommy! Let's go on the ride!" Genny pointed to the giant ferris wheel in the distance.

"Little Bird, do you see the ferris wheel?" Palutena smiled as she held her daughter close. "Do you want to ride the ferris wheel?"

"Yeah!"

"Yes…" Palutena trailed off like she was waiting for Genny to finish her sentence.

"…please." She stated and the goddess kissed the top of the child's head.

"Alright. B, we're-"

"I'm coming too." Bayonetta replied.

"And here I thought you didn't enjoy childish things." Palutena smirked.

"I'm not going because I enjoy it. I'm going because I want to spend time with Genny. It's been far too long."

"See? I told you you'd make a good mother." Palutena smiled and Samantha could've sworn the taller woman's cheeks turned rosy pink.

"Let me hold her." Palutena handed off the child to Bayonetta and thought most children would've been scared by the tall woman, Genny snuggled up to her and smiled.

"Mommy, can you come too?" Genny asked.

"Of course, little one. Whatever you wish." Palutena gently tapped the child's nose and Genny giggled.

"Sam, you too."

"Uh…" Samantha nervously laughed. "Genny…d-don't you want to spend time…with your parents…without me? Just the three of you?"

"No!" Genny protested. "Sam comes too! Sam comes too! Sam-"

"Genny." Samantha stated and child stopped. "If you parents agree to it, I'll join you."

"No." Bayonetta stated without a second thought. Samantha nodded her head, but deep down, she was hoping they'd at least consider it.

"Mommy!" Genny yelled and slapped her mother's cheek in defiance. Bayonetta grabbed her child's hand.

"Genevieve, we do not hit." She stated with a brisk remark and she let go of the girl's hand. Genny hit her mother's cheek again and she grabbed it once more.

"Genevieve!" She spoke a little louder, but Genny pouted.

"Sam is nice…mommy says be nice." Genny glared at her mother. Bayonetta looked at Palutena; her expression told everyone she taught her that lesson since she had been the child's mother. Bayonetta rolled her eyes and gave an exasperated sigh. "…fine. Sam-"

"…if you're adamant against it-"

"Not at all." Palutena insisted. "It's no problem at all." Before they left, Samantha approached Regal and bowed her head.

"Mr. Bryant, I am sorry. It wasn't my intention to disrupt the scenery and disrespect the importance of Alicia. Please do not hold a grudge against the kingdom of Hyrule. It is I and I alone who should be blamed."

"Samantha, I am not upset. I know that you are curious about Alicia. But for now…Alicia was very close to me." Thinking that it would be better if she didn't press the issue, Samantha nodded her head and smiled.

"Sam! Come on!" Genny whined and Samantha quickly followed the group towards the ground floor and then to the amusement park. Raine and Regal were the last two up on the top floor.

"Raine,-"

"I understand, Regal. You don't need to tell me anything. I should apologize as well. I should've asked for permission before sending her up here. I didn't mean to offend you or her."

"What I wish we had was some sort of miracle…something to give us an answer to what's going on."

"In due time, my friend. In due time." Raine patted his shoulder as the two headed towards the elevator and waited. Meanwhile, Virginia is monitoring a giant x-ray machine to determine what kind of injury her best friend's pokémon had. She was staring at a screen while a hand rested on her chin. Braixen was sound asleep the other pokémon waited with anticipation. She felt something wrap around her waist and she exclaimed with surprise before turning and seeing Serena next to her.

"Serena, you scared me." Virginia pouted for a second before smiling. "I am happy to see you though."

"How's my…fiancé?" Serena smiled. "I still have to tell my mom. She's going to scream."

"I still can't believe it." Virginia shook her head. "My parents…I'll need their blessing."

"So, um…what's ah…how is Braixen?" Serena asked. Virginia's expression turned sour and she pointed to an x-ray. "That's…"

"A twisted ankle." Virginia informed her partner. "She's going to be sidelined for a while, Serena. I'm really sorry."

"What?!" She exclaimed.

"She's asleep right now. Genis said he'd come by and monitor her so I didn't spend all my time down here. He said something like I need some time away. I think he's hoping you'd distract me for a couple hours or so."

"I can distract you for a couple hours or so." She winked and smiled at the princess. Virginia immediately knew what she was thinking.

"Serena-"

"V, it's for your own good. You're way too stressed out. It's been too long since we've done it last and you know you want to. Don't try to deny it. I've seen that look you get." Virginia hesitated for a minute just as the door opened and the young silver haired boy approached them.

"Hey Virginia. Hi Serena."

"Hello Genis." Virginia replied.

"I'm here to stand watch. Go outside. You can't stay here forever, you know."

"But Braixen needs us. We can't just-"

"Let's just leave for a little bit, Virginia." Serena insisted as she began tugging the princess' arm towards the door.

"I'll come find you if anything changes." Genis said as he pulled up a chair and began playing with his Kendama. Virginia sighed; she didn't want to leave Braixen's side, but at the same time, she knew Serena was right. She looked down and saw Aqua whimpering like she was afraid she would leave her. Virginia knelt down and Aqua's two front paws rested on her knees.

"Aqua, I'm…I'm going to go away for a little bit. But I'll come back. You'll see. I'm not abandoning you or your siblings." Virginia reached out and the aquatic pokémon nuzzled against her hand. "I won't abandon you. I won't ever abandon you." She stood up and turned around before exiting without another word. They approached the receptionist who was busy typing on a computer.

"How can I help you?" She smiled at them.

"Yes. Hi. We'd like to know…are there any rooms available?" She began typing into her computer and then shook her head.

"I'm so sorry, but all of our rooms are booked. I do have an opening for-"

"Virginia? I was wondering where you ran off to." A woman smiled at the princess.

"Hello Miss Sheena. I…um…we were trying to get a room, but I guess they-"

"They're booked?" Sheena raised an eyebrow before turning to the receptionist. "You are aware she is a royal, right?"

"She is?" The receptionist questioned.

"The two floors that are booked up top…she's going to need two. One for her and another for her sister." The woman began typing and glared at the Mizuho ninja.

"Mr. Bryant gave us specific orders that those rooms are exclusively for members of the royal family."

"She is the second born of Hyrule. Her sister, the firstborn, is also here. They are here to represent Hyrule on behalf of their kingdoms. Now, I'm strongly urging you to assign two rooms to the daughters of Hyrule. Otherwise, I'm sure Duke Bryant will need to hire a new receptionist in the near future." The woman backed down quickly and handed to keycards to the girls.

"Actually…we'll need one more keycard. Sh-she's my…um…f-fiancé." Virginia blushed as she spoke.

"Fiancé?" Sheena quietly spoke with a hint of excitement. "I'm so happy for you."

"Don't…um…I want to tell Sam and my parents. Please don't take this from me." She begged.

"I assure you, I'm good with keeping secrets." Sheena zipped her lip and tossed the key. The receptionist gave a third card to the woman and Virginia now held two cards.

"The first one is room eight twenty six. The other two are room eight twenty eight."

"Thank you." Virginia and Serena made their way to the elevator and up to their room. They quickly found room and entered. In size, it was about the size of her bedroom back home.

"Holy….shit. This is huge!"

"It's about the same size as my room back home." Virginia admitted.

"Your bedroom is this big?" Serena exclaimed.

"I have no one to share it with." She felt a push and her body lightly hit the wall. Before she could react, she felt Serena's lips pressing against her own. She melted in her grip; Serena was her guardian and the only one she ever loved romantically.

"It's been too long." Serena replied with a whisper as she began undressing.

"Yes…" Virginia also began undressing and both girls stopped when they were left with their underwear.

"You're already wet?" Serena smirked at her partner.

"It's been a long time…I've wanted this…ever since…y-you know." She stuttered, but felt at home when Serena's lips met hers. She passionately kissed her and as they broke, she could feel her hot breath against her skin.

"I know." Serena slowly took off her panties and Virginia blushed as she smiled.

"You…you're so pretty." Serena smirked as she unclasped her bra and set that on the floor; now standing in front of the princess completely naked.

"Your turn, princess." She smiled and Virginia slowly did the same. Except when she was naked, she covered her body with her hands. She was vulnerable and even with her fiancé, she was scared. Serena pulled her hands away and kissed her again. She led her to the bed and Virginia climbed into the middle of the bed as Serena crawled next to her and they continued making out. Serena nibbled on Virginia's neck and she blushed before quietly moaning; melting even more in her arms. Serena began rubbing the princess' clit and Virginia began humping her fiancé's hand.

"My, my…you really want this." Serena smirked and began sucking on her nipple. Virginia closed her eyes and moaned in pleasure.

"I need you, Serena." Virginia added before Serena carefully bit the princess' nipple and Virginia moaned a little louder.

"Some…ah…someone will…huh…hear us…" Virginia whimpered between Serena's tongue playing with her breasts.

"Good." Serena then kissed her neck and every so often until she came to her vagina. Virginia moaned louder as she felt like her body was on fire; her nerves went into overdrive as she was experiencing pleasure she hadn't felt in months.

"Suh…Sere….nuh…duh…don't stop…" she spoke between breaths. Serena eventually stopped and Virginia looked hurt.

"Why'd you stop?" She gasped and began catching her breath.

"I need pleasure too, you know." Virginia was a bit upset, but she wanted her to get off as well. She worked her tongue into Serena's lower lips while she moaned and began breathing heavy.

"Yeah…just…just like…just like that…oh…oh fuck…" Serena quietly moaned. "Virg…Virgin…Virginia…you…use…use bite!" Virginia stopped and began laughing.

"Really?." She asked with a smile. Serena just laughed while Virginia moved upwards on her girlfriend. She began to suck on her nipple and ever so gently bit the nipple to pinch, but not cause pain. Serena's eyes went cross for a moment before they rolled back and she moaned loud; signaling to the princess that she was thoroughly enjoying the moment. Virginia smirked and began playing with her pussy while working on her breasts. Serena's moans got even loud before she placed a hand over her own mouth to stifle the moans.

"More?" Virginia joked and laid down so that Serena could crawl on top of her in a sixty nine.

"So inviting." Serena lowered her head and began eating the princess out. Virginia whimpered while she raised her head up and did the same to her soon-to-be wife. They knew each other well and they knew each other's kinks and pleasures.

"You're so good at this." Serena moaned and continued eating the Hylian princess out. Virginia was about to respond, but Serena's tongue stopped her mid-sentence.

"Ser…Ser….eee…." She squeaked out before focusing her efforts on her fiancé once more. When they finally stopped, both girls were soaked and couldn't hold out much longer. Virginia moved so her pussy pressed against Serena's and the two began grinding against one another. Both girls moaned as they began sweating as they came close to their climax.

"Virginia…Virginia….Vir…" Serena clenched her teeth as she rode out her climax and her body felt like it was on fire. She collapsed onto the bed, but unfortunately for Virginia, she didn't reach that moment. She sighed with disappointment, but the smile on Serena's face indicated she knew what to do. Without a word, she crawled towards her fiancé and, with her face down against the sheets, she raised one hand.

SLAP!

Serena had brought it down hard on the princess' backside and Virginia bit her bottom lip before letting out a weak, yet satisfying moan. She secretly enjoyed being spanked and it was a secret to everyone except Serena.

"You like that?"

SLAP!

"…yes…" Virginia's fingers gripped the bed sheets as she was closer now. No matter what she claimed outside, deep down, she knew that Serena was her dominant. They were close lovers, but she was nothing without Serena. She'd do anything for Serena if she asked her to.

"Who do you love?"

SLAP!

"You…I…luh…love…"

SLAP!

"I…I…" Virginia was struggling to respond with the mixture of pleasure and pain given to her by her fiancé

SLAP!

"Who…" Serena began speaking slowly.

SLAP!

"Do…"

SLAP!

"You…"

SLAP!

"Love?"

SLAP!

"Serena…" Virginia weakly replied.

SLAP!

"Again."

SLAP!

"Serena."

SLAP!

"Louder."

SLAP!

"I…I love you! I…love…"

SLAP!

"Serena!" Her eyes rolled back once more as her body tensed up and she collapsed upon hitting her orgasm. For her, the feeling was an intense tidal wave that crashed hard. She felt like putty in the arms of her lover. She collapsed on the bed and Serena tucked her in before snuggling up next to her.

"Hey…" Serena huffed and puffed heavily. "How…how are you feeling?" There was no response from the princess. "Virginia?" She asked and, to her surprise, Virginia fell asleep in her arms. "You're so cute." She moved her nose closer and gently brushed it against hers before closing her eyes herself. Virginia's dream was one she holds dear to her heart; the moment she met her first pokémon friend outside of the castle. Virginia was working on some paperwork when there was a knock at the door.

"Virginia?" Francine's voice spoke up as she opened the door.

"Ah! P-Professor Bur…Burnet! Um…hello."

"Virginia, we've been over this. Just call me Francine." She smiled. "Anyway, I've got an issue with a pokémon."

"Wh-which one?"

"That tiny growlithe."

"The little one? What's wrong?" Virginia became worried.

"He's not eating. He seems to respond to you, so maybe you could help him out."

"Alright. I…I'll go see him." Virginia got up and followed Francine to the room. Francine stepped to the side and Virginia entered the room. The small growlithe whined and finally looked up before his tail began wagging He barked with positivity upon seeing the princess in the room with him.

"Hello little one." Virginia smiled and patted his head. "Are you eating your food?" Virginia questioned. Growlithe walked over to the food and began eating. Virginia sat down and watched the young puppy eating.

"He really seems to like you." Francine smirked. "You should catch him."

"But…I can't battle. I would need a pokémon and-"

"Virginia…" Francine tossed her a ball. "I bet he wants you to catch him." Virginia hesitated and held the ball pointing at the puppy.

"Do you want to be my partner?" Virginia asked and he yipped happily with his tail wagging. She slowly moved her hand closer; shaking as she got closer. He pushed the button with his paw and his whole body turned red and entered the poké ball. There was no shaking or resisting. She caught her very first pokémon.

"Congratulations!" Francine applauded her.

"How…how do I…"

"Hold it forward and gently squeeze the ball." Francine instructed. Virginia did as she was told and the ball opened. Out popped out the tiny growlithe who hopped up and down.

"You need a name." Virginia stated as she thought. "How about…hm…" She thought for a minute. "Growly."

"Growly?" Francine questioned and Growly sat in front of her and barked.

"You like that? You like the name Growly?" She questioned her new pokémon and he yipped once more. "Growly it is." She smiled and she held the little puppy. "You're going to be my best friend. Yes you are. Yes you are!" She kissed his head and he licked her cheek. Virginia laughed and nuzzled the little puppy.

"We're going to be best friends!" Virginia stated loudly but everything started to go black.

"…inia? Wake up. Wakey wakey…V…come on…" Serena's voice chimed in and the princess stretched her arms and weakly smiled at the young woman. She immediately blushed as she forgot what they had done prior to the nap. Serena kissed her cheek and smiled.

"Did you sleep well?" Serena asked.

"I did." She smiled before she felt the stinging pain against her butt. "I forgot about that." She winced and lightly groaned.

"You forgot that your butt is bright red?" I don't know…you really seemed to enjoy that." Virginia seemed ashamed that this embarrassing detail was what got her off. "I won't tell anyone. I wouldn't want to embarrass my soon-to-be-wife or anything." Serena got out of bed and held her arm out. "How about we freshen up?" Virginia took her hand and was helped out of bed. "How're you feeling?"

"My butt really hurts…" Virginia whined.

"Aside from your butt." Serena chuckled.

"I…I'm fine. Thank you…" The princess smiled timidly, but winced while placing a hand against her backside.

"We can see a doctor if you'd like."Serena suggested.

"Uh…let's…let's freshen up first." Virginia said as they walked towards the bathroom. Like the bedroom, Virginia was used to the master sized bathroom back home.

"Oh my God…" Serena gasped. "It's huge!"

"It's almost like home." Virginia smiled.

"Alright, look…I have got to visit Hyrule. You talk about it like it's the greatest place in the world."

"It is." Virginia admitted. "I love my home and I want to go back…you have to come with me. I want to introduce you to everyone. You've met mother…but, you haven't met my other mother."

"You mean Samus? I hear she's a pretty tough lady."

"That's…putting it lightly." Virginia admitted as Serena tested the water. Virginia grabbed two towels and hung them up before Serena got in the shower along with her partner.

"Is she really mean?"

"Kind of."

"Oh come on, the stories I've heard can't be true. I've heard she's killed before. You're telling me that a queen from Hyrule…has committed murder?" Serena let the warm water run through her hair before grabbing the nozzle and pointed it at the princess. Virginia began washing her chest while enjoying the relaxing warm water run down her body.

"There…there was an incident in Tellius."

"Oh yeah? What happened?"

"You remember when we first met? There were those guys who…um…scared me."

"When we first met? Yeah, I remember them."

"Mother…um…dealt with them."

"What do you mean 'dealt with them?' Is that, like, code for she offed them or something?"

"Yes." Virginia began adding the complimentary bottle of shampoo to her hair. "Serena, I need the water." Serena pointed the nozzle at her fiancé.

"Are you serious? She…she killed them?" Virginia nodded her head.

"In cold blood. She didn't hesitate and…" Virginia's eyes watered. "I was so scared! Serena, I was really scared." Serena hugged the princess tightly and without Serena holding the nozzle, it returned to its original position.

"I'm right here, V. I won't let that happen again." Serena kissed her cheek and Virginia squeezed her in response. "Turn around so I can wash your back." Virginia complied and Serena began washing her back.

"You know, we should take a vacation. Now that we got Genny home to her parents, we should take a vacation…just you and me."

"That's not a bad idea." Virginia smiled as Serena stopped and the princess turned around to let the daughter wash her back. "Where should we go?"

"I don't know. The beach? Or maybe a bigger city? As long as I'm with you, I don't care if we go to the desert or whatever."

"I think we deserve it. But I want to be sure Braixen's ok first." Virginia stated before she began washing her back. When she finished, she kissed Serena's neck and giggled.

"As long as we're together…that's all that matters."

"I love you, Virginia Hyrule."

"I love you more, Serena Yvonne." The two finished showered and stepped out and began drying themselves.

"How about we go to that place? Tellius? Is that it? We can visit…ah…the…the five tribes?" Serena pondered. "You told me about them. I think there are…wait! I mean four! There's four." She corrected herself.

"Serena, there-" Virginia froze as she thought about it. It was as if a light bulb turned on inside her head. "…oh my God…that's it."

"What's it?"

"Serena!" Virginia pressed her lips against Serena's. "I love you!" The princess practically jumped out of the shower and got dressed without drying herself off in record speed and ran out the door.

"Wait! Virginia!" Serena protested, but she was already gone. Serena turned off the water and wrapped it around her body before exiting the bathroom. "Damn it…" Serena quickly dried herself off as fast as she could before getting dressed. She put on her pants and shirt before running outside to see Virginia was in the elevator.

"Meet me in the library!" Virginia called out and the door shut. Serena looked around and hit the button. She watched the elevator that Virginia was in stop at the second floor. A different set of doors opened and Serena went towards the second floor. Before she reached the floor, it went one floor down and opened. Lloyd and Colette entered the elevator with her.

"Hi." Colette chimed in with a smile, before tripping into her and knocking her to the ground.

"Colette!" Lloyd exclaimed and helped his wife up before offering a hand. "You ok?"

"Yes. Thank you." She stood up and smiled. "I'm just heading to the library."

"Catch up on some reading? That's good." Lloyd smiled.

"Well…I think Virginia has a lead." Serena admitted ad just before the doors closed, a hand prevented them from closing.

"Professor Sage!" Lloyd smiled. "You're coming down, too?"

"Yes. I agreed to switch places with Genis after a few hours. He and Presea have been switching on and off all night. I'm relieving them so they can spend the entire day together."

"Um…before you do that…I…can I ask for your help with something? It's in regards to Virginia."

"Of course. What is it?"

"Um…" Serena hesitated and Raine picked up on the embarrassment the answer may provide.

"Lloyd, Colette, I'd like to ask you both to check in on the others." The doors opened once more and the two nodded before exiting. The doors shut and it continued downwards. "What is on your mind…Serena? Is that correct?"

"Yes. Um…last night…we…well, I…kind of got carried away." Serena's face blushed red.

"Carried away? How so?" Raine folded her arms and an eyebrow rose, but Serena didn't respond. The elevator finally opened and Raine followed Serena to the library. They opened the doors and Serena quickly found the princess examining a book.

"This is it…this is it!" She smiled and laughed. "I found it! I actually-" She paused as she saw Serena and Raine. "Um…hi."

"Virginia, what has you so excited?" Raine questioned the young woman.

"I think I figured it out. That book…the language…I am certain I found the answer."

"Before we go into that, I have a question for you. Serena informed me that she got carried away with something involving you. May I ask what happened?" Virginia's eyes grew big and her face blushed a crimson red.

"You told her?!"

"I don't want you to suffer. I'm sorry!" She pleaded. Virginia took a deep breath and looked down with embarrassment. "Can…can we go somewhere private?" The three of them returned to the elevator and returned to Virginia and Serena's room.

"Alright. But…please don't judge me." Virginia begged.

"Virginia, I am a professional." Raine reassured the princess. She gulped hard and turned around to lower her pants and expose her bottom. As she exposed herself, she felt embarrassed once more.

"You're judging me, aren't you? You are, aren't you?"

"I see." Raine dug into her bag and removed a small tube of something. "Apply this twice a day. It should heal within a few days from now." Raine informed the young woman. "And Virginia…you shouldn't be ashamed of something like that."

"I sh-shouldn't? But, but you're going to tell everyone and-"

"Virginia, do you believe I am the type of person to gossip? What you say to me and what I know of you stays with me. I am a teacher first, a doctor second, and a friend third. I will not speak of this to anyone unless you give me permission." She smiled and quietly exited the room. Virginia applied the ointment and she felt a bit better than before.

"Now then, what did you find?" Serena questioned.

"Well, let's go talk to the others first." Virginia quickly dressed once more and the two returned to the board room where everyone was discussing what matters to do. Including the royal families, there were a few additions to the group. Palutena, Bayonetta, and Genny were here, along with Samantha. Zelos was also waiting with the group and a tribe of birds. Virginia recognized them as the king of Phoenicis, Tibarn. The king of Kilvas, Naesala, two members of the hawk tribe, and three members of the heron clan.

"E-Excuse me…" Virginia quietly uttered, but no one was paying attention to her. "Excuse me." She said a bit louder, but the same response. "HEY!" She yelled and the room got silent. "I…um…I think I figured it out…s-s-sorry…" She looked down once more.

"Figured what out?" Samantha asked.

"W-well…there…there's this book." She held up the book Samantha acquired from Sophocles while she was in the Alola region. "I've been trying to decipher it and figure out what language it's in. And…actually, Serena figured it out for me."

"I did?" She raised her eyebrows with surprise.

"In Tellius, there are five different clans."

"There's four." Takumi corrected her.

"No, there's five. I assure you, there's five."

"Seriously, there's four. Unless you're counting people." Takumi shook his head.

"Mr. Takumi…please…just let me ramble on, please?" She insisted. He nodded his head and she continued. "Now, as I was saying there's five clans within the country of Tellius."

"Technically four." Takumi muttered.

"Five." She corrected the man without glancing his way or stumbling over her rambling. "We're not counting people because although they make up the majority of Tellius, we're focusing on the laguz right now. Now the five tribes that make up Tellius. Obviously we have the major group that is Gallia, home of the cats. Then there's Phoenicis, home to the hawks. Kilvas is home to the ravens, and the fourth group which is home to the dragons is Goldoa. For the longest time, I have been studying and trying to figure out which ancient language this was written in. I believed it to be ancient Elvish and when Raine told me she couldn't translate it, I felt hopeless. But then, Serena said something to me. Tell them what you said." Serena was about to give her answer, but Virginia cut her off.

"She told me that we should go to Tellius. She said that we should go visit the five tribes."

"I meant four!" Serena blurted out in her defense, but Virginia kept going.

"And that got me thinking, what if there was five? What if I missed one and sure enough, it hit me. I couldn't believe I missed it! I never even considered-"

"Ginny!" Samantha stated to get her sister back on track. "Who's the last tribe?"

"There isn't a fifth tribe!" Takumi exclaimed. "Those four are all-"

"A tribe of three is still a tribe." Virginia turned to face a laguz group. "The fifth tribe is the smallest, yet perhaps the most important." Tibarn and Naesala looked over at the heron siblings and everyone realized what they meant.

"I suppose I could take a look." Rafiel suggested and held out his hand. Leanne and Reyson glanced over his shoulder to peer at the words.

"The book! It is real! I was right!" Leanne screamed and quickly hid her face in Naesala's shoulder.

"Leanne, it's merely a fictional story." Reyson complained and the two began arguing in their native tongue.

"What are they arguing about?" Robin asked while Corrin sat across from her. The two were playing a game of chess where Robin was absolutely CRUSHING the Hoshidan princess.

"Aha! Take that!" Corrin smirked and moved her bishop to take one of Robin's pawns. Robin wasn't paying attention to what she had done. "Alright, it's your turn." Robin looked at the board for a second before moving a knight and taking Corrin's rook. "What?!" She exclaimed while Azura snickered behind her.

"I believe Virginia has solved the case of the mysterious purple people." Chrom stated.

"Everyone, please…let's calm down." Regal held out his hands to try and quell the arguments. "Rafiel, are you able to translate?"

"Yes, this book is written in our native tongue. Where did you find this?" He questioned.

"A friend of mine gave it to me. He couldn't translate it and it's been collecting dust in his house." Samantha stated. "You know, Rafiel…if it's not too much trouble-"

"You are curious about the contents of this book, correct?" He smiled and took a seat. "Very well. I shall regale you with a…how do you say…fairy tale?" The three girls sat down and though the room was doing their own thing, everyone was listening to Rafiel.

"Can we join?" Kagero questioned. "Would you have any objection to that, Lady Samantha and Lady Virginia?"

"Not at all!" Virginia smiled and others gathered around to hear Rafiel describe the book and possibly an answer to everything.

"There is a place far from here. It contains two spirits that control light and dark. The light, which is named Galeem and the dark named Dharkon. The two are in a never-ending battle to destroy the other and in the midst of that; the only one in charge of balance is the peacekeeper, Tabuu. And it is spelled t-a-b-u-u. Not in the way that beorc often say taboo."

"Tabuu?" Obero asked and the oldest heron nodded.

"Tabuu is the guardian that maintains balance within the two. Yet, Tabuu wishes for power just as Galeem and Dharkon do. But, it is merely a fairy tale to ensure the herons listen to those that protect us. Some of us, as you can see, truly believe that such a being exists, and others see it as a fallacy."

"But, hypothetically…check." Robin stated as she had moved a piece and cornered Corrin. Azura quietly laughed while Corrin looked for some kind of move to avoid losing. "If one wanted to summon such a spirit…how would one go about doing that? What would the spell be if, hypothetically, one were to attempt to summon one or even both of them?"

"We, the heron clan, may not speak its name. Speaking its name will cause sickness within us. We may only refer to it as 'the forbidden magic.'" Rafiel explained.

"In that case, I believe I may know its name…check." Robin moved her rook and took Corrin's bishop and, once again, Azura laughed while Corrin frantically looked for a way out. "However, would it be best if I informed Tibarn or Naesala? I don't want to be the reason you and your siblings are sick."

"You are quite kind, Lady Robin. If that is acceptable to them, I will not object." He turned to face the two birds.

"We'll stay. Take them outside and calm them down." Naesala waved them off. Rafiel approached his siblings and gently grabbed their hands. Both Reyson and Leanne stopped arguing and quietly left without a fuss. "Right. Now, Robin…what is your assumption? I dear say, that the odds of correctly naming the forbidden magic is-"

"Zaharas." She stated before gulping hard and looking at the group.

"I've got you now!" Corrin smirked and moved a piece. "Robin, it's your-" Robin quickly glanced down without registering her pieces and moved her queen.

"Checkmate." She stated before getting up and walking closer to the group. Corrin couldn't believe it. In less than two seconds, Robin made a move that not only beat her, but she did so without hesitation. Azura busted out laughing and Corrin folded her arms.

"…chess is dumb anyway…" She muttered with anger in her voice. Tibarn and Naesala looked uneasy for a moment. "I know a lot about dark magic and forbidden spells. In fact, I've done so much research that had I known that information…I wouldn't consider it a fairy tale or a false story."

"You…you believe it?" Sheena asked.

"Of course she does. A beautiful woman with a sexy body like that, I'd-"

"I'm not talking to you, pervert!" Sheena yelled as she swatted the back of Zelos' head.

"Why did you hit me?!"

"You're pathetic." Sheena scoffed.

"Enough!" Emmeryn slammed her hands on the table that made everyone jump. Genny began crying and Palutena consoled the young girl. "Palutena, I-"

"It's not your fault, Emmeryn." She reassured the exalt from Ylisstol.

"I know of the spell." Bayonetta stated. "It's quite horrible…my kind of magic." She smiled. "In fact, my dear friend Aversa and I have often joked about summoning them to watch the world burn."

"Why would you discuss that?" Azama set his staff down and shook his head. "That is…horrible. It's horrible."

"It was merely a joke, calm down. Now that Genevieve is with us, I see no reason to end the world."

"But that's it." Samantha smiled. "We have our answer. Nothing can stop us now! Nothing can-"

"Sam?" Virginia asked and the firstborn turned around. Her eyes grew big and Samantha screamed in fear.

"Virginia? What's…what's going on?" Serena questioned. Her left hand had seemingly turned to dust and disappeared from her body.

"No…" Samantha ran towards her and hugged her as tightly as she could; tears streaming down her face. "I lost Marcus…I won't lose you…please…don't go. Virginia! Don't leave me! Please!"

"This is…the worst birthday ever…I love you, Samantha…I'm sorry…" She quietly dissolved in Samantha's arms until she was no more.

"What was that?" Camilla stood up and looked around. "Whoever is doing this…this isn't funny."

"She's gone…" Samantha sank to her knees; powerless and helpless to anything. "My husband…my sister…" Samantha placed both hands on her head. "This isn't happening…this…this can't be happening." Before anyone could react, another voice spoke up.

"Lloyd…" Colette Spokane and her left leg began dissolving. Lloyd reached out, only for his hand disappear as well.

"Lloyd! Colette!" Sheena yelled out, but helpless to do anything before the chosen one of Sylvarant faded away.

"Dad?" Lloyd asked before he completely disappeared. The group looked up and standing in the doorway was a man with crimson red hair and a purple outfit. In his hand a small box and a bouquet of flowers.

"Kratos…"

"Damn." He quietly cursed under his breath as the flowers fell to the ground. He then noticed his arm was gone and his body faded soon after.

"What do we do? What do we do?" Camilla began panicking.

"Now is not the time to panic!" Regal stated with a stern tone. "Raine, let's-" Raine had already dissolved and the group was down another member. Genis busted through the door and Virginia's pokémon rushed in after him. Aqua looked around and whimpered.

"Hey you." Samantha called out and Aqua walked up to her and howled with sadness. "Virginia…um…she's…ah…she went away. But she told me to keep you safe." Samantha nervously replied. "Y-yep." Samantha nodded her head and moved her head closer to the aquatic pokémon. Aqua licked her nose and whimpered once more. Torch walked towards her sister and nuzzled against her younger sister's chest.

"Sam!" Serena called out and Zap ran and hid behind Samantha before dissolving herself. She turned to see Serena was also dissolving away.

"Serena!" She yelled, but she was long gone. "What the fuck is happening?" She whispered and looked around in fear. Torch then began dissolving away and Aqua cried out in fear. Torch looked around prior to her disappearance and whined before she was completely gone.

"Genis, what's the matter?"

"Presea! She's gone! I…she was next to me for a second, and then…poof! Then Serena's Braixen. I…they're all gone!" He frantically looked around. "Where's Raine? She knows how to handle things like this."

"Raine…um…" Kagero tried to explain, but suddenly, Corrin gasped and pointed to Regal. His legs began disappearing and his upper body and soon after his head left as well.

"Regal?! Where'd he go?" Genis looked around.

"Wait, everyone calm down! Let's remain calm!" Robin called out. "There's got to be a logical explanation to all this." There was some whining followed by a child's scream. They all looked around and Genny was sobbing her eyes out.

"Sam's gone! Sam's gone!" Genny cried out and as everyone looked around, Samantha was nowhere to be seen.

"Where is she? Sam!" Genis ran into the hallway, but she wasn't there.

"Bay…sweetie…" Palutena whined and Genny, along with her mother, looked at the goddess with surprise.

"Mommy! No!" Genny screamed and began bawling.

"Darling." Bayonetta called out and Palutena's last act was to hand the witch their daughter before she was completely gone.

"Genevieve, stay here. I'm…" Bayonetta set her down and she saw her hands disappearing.

"Mommy! Don't go! I'll be good! Mommy!" Genny reached out and began crying even louder.

"Emmeryn, tell Aversa to watch over Genevieve. Tell her to come here quickly!" Bayonetta spoke before she completely disappeared.

"What is happening?" Emmeryn called out while holding his brother's hand. Chrom…Lissa! Where's Lissa?!"

"She's upstairs, sleeping." Chrom casually told his older sister. Emmeryn didn't bother to wait as she sprinted towards the elevators to check on her younger sister. "Em! Stop!" Chrom chased after his sister; no one really know what was happening or why.

"Done!" Nami stated as she set the jug of milk down and a cow approached the red haired woman. She laughed and rubbed the cow's head.

"It's a great day, right? Eat some grass, get some sun…what a life."

"You sound jealous." Celia laughed as she set a jug down next to Nami. "Honestly, when are you going to take a vacation?"

"I can't let you take care of the farm and the kids. That's too much." Celia approached the red head and kissed her.

"Nami, I love you as much as I love Jack. Plus if I am too stressed, Vesta and Marlin can always help me. Plus, everyone in town is super nice." Celia smiled. "Go on…take a vacation. You two deserve it." Celia insisted. Jack exited the storage building and waved to the ladies.

"Hey hon!" Nami waved back.

"Hi sweetie!" Celia giggled. "Nami, could you-" She turned around and Nami was gone. "Nami?" She asked, but there wasn't a trace of anything. "Jack, did you see-" She turned around again and Jack had also disappeared. "…Jack?" She hopped the fence and walked towards the storage building. She opened the door and checked, but Jack wasn't there. "Honey?" She asked, but there was no response. Everything was quiet…too quiet. She walked over to where the boys were sleeping only to discover they weren't there.

"Thomas! Nathan!" She called out, but received no response. "Oh no…oh no, no no…" She ran around the farm; opening ever door shoe could, but her children were not there. She began breaking down and crying.

'Where are they? I need them…' She quietly thought as she sobbed into her hands.

"And that is the extent of our knowledge." One guard stated. Daphnes gave a heavy sigh and rubbed his eyes.

"Right. Are the guards well?" Daphnes questioned the advisor he was speaking to.

"We've been rotating shifts. Everyone is getting eight hours of rest and plenty of food and water." He informed the former king. "Sire, forgive me for suggesting, but…perhaps the young boys are more suited for this. You have stayed up far past your regular bedtime and-"

"You are not my mother, nor are you my wife."

"Yes, but the queen gave us specific orders to ensure that should something happen like this, we are to remove power from you and-"

"Fine." He grumbled and stood up. "We'll pick this up tomorrow, but-"

"Sire! Sire! Emergency! We have an emergency!" A guard bolted into the room breathing heavy and interrupted the meeting he had.

"What is it, this time, James?" The advisor questioned the guard.

"The boys! Prince Alex and Prince Jackson! They're gone!"

"Gone?" Daphnes questioned bfore sighing. "They're probably hiding from you. You know they like to fool the guards when they grow bored."

"Unless they know how to disappear into thin air, I don't think they're doing this intentionally!" James practically yelled. Daphnes stood up and began walking towards the door.

"William…role call everyone in the castle. Alexander and Jackson would not defy an order from me. If they do not show up, then we know something has happened."

"Yes sir." The advisor left without another word. Daphnes took a seat and began coughing once more. Lilly entered the chambers to check on her dearest friend.

"Daphnes, you really shouldn't push yourself." Lilly warned and consoled the man sitting in the chair.

"I am fine, Lilly. Do not coddle me." Daphnes stopped coughing and cleared his throat. Lilly gently slapped the back of his hand and smirked.

"Foolish old man." Lilly laughed and sat next to him. The two sighed and sat in silence. "Daphnes, I…I'm sorry. After all this time-"

"Lilly, it is not your fault. What happened to Grace…I will not allow you to take blame. It was a tragedy, but rest assured. You were a far better parent to my daughter than I could have ever been."

"Daphnes, don't say such things."

"It is true. I was so focused on my own sadness, I neglected my only daughter. It is a burden I share and when my time comes, I will answer to Grace." He began chuckling. "She's going to be quite upset with me." Lilly's eyes began to water.

"Daphnes Nohansson Hyrule. It has been an honor and a privilege to work for the finest ruler Hyrule has ever had." The two looked up and smiled at Rhea.

"Lillith, I feel that I have overstayed my welcome."

"Lady Rhea, please! I wish you'd stay." She begged. "I would love to hear more stories about what I have missed out on. I do enjoy all the tales you share." Lilly smiled and the blonde haired woman pulled a chair.

"If you insist." She stated as the advisor ran back in.

"Sire, it is as James has stated. Prince Alexander and Prince Jackson are not to be seen. We've closed the kingdom and are prepared to search house to house. No one has exited the kingdom as far as the entrance guards have seen." Daphnes sighed and shook his head.

"Hylia, forgive me…I've really made a mess of things now."

Back in the Alola region, Lillie, Kiawe, Lana, and Mallow all sat in the lab while Lusamine, Faba, Professor Burnet, and Professor Kakui were trying to find answers to the mysterious portals around the region.

"What else can we figure out about those mysterious portals?" Lusamine questioned her friends. "Francine, are we sure they aren't some kind of ultra-beasts on the other side?"

"No. There's no sign of any creatures…but we are getting more than a dozen life forms, but they're coming back as human."

"Lusamine! Lusamine!" Sophocles sprinted into the room with his Togedamaru following by. "I found something! You're going to want to see this!"

"What is it?"

"I sent a camera into one of those portals and…well, take a look at this." He uploaded the feed to the main screen. It appeared to be a dozen, maybe more people attacking some blue human-looking angel. A few of them were difficult to see, but some were easily recognizable.

"There's Mario!" Lana exclaimed and pointed to the screen.

"I see...is that Samus?" Kiawe asked. "I'm pretty sure that's Samus Aran." Kiawe pointed to the front of the group.

"I think that's…Zelda?" Mallow pondered. "Right next to the blonde one."

"What are they doing there?" Lillie asked.

"I…are they trying to…beat that thing?" Faba squinted his eyes. The group then noticed the blue figure raising an arm and snapping his fingers followed by a gold light spreading across the group and rapidly moving outward passing the camera and causing static for a brief moment before crashing.

"Woah…" The group stated before looking around.

"That was a five hundred dollar camera…" Sophocles whimpered. Togedamaru hugged her trainer to cheer him up.

"What was that glow?" Kakui asked. "Maybe it's an attack? We won't know until-" Kiawe yelled and everyone turned to see him dissolving.

"Wha…what's happening?" He asked before completely dissolving away.

"What happened to Kiawe?!" Lana practically screamed.

"Tur…?" Turtonator looked around with worry.

"Toge!" Togedamaru cried out and was gone before the group knew it.

"Togedamaru!" Sophocles cried out followed by another yell. Mallow began dissolving away.

"Tsereena!" Tsereena hugged her just before she completely disappeared. She began crying out for her trainer and best friend.

"How is this happening?" Lillie asked just before she and her vulpix began dissolving. "Mother!"

"Lillie!" Lusamine yelled and ran towards her daughter. But before she could reach her, Lillie was already gone. "What the fuck happened? What the fuck is happening?!" Lusamine screamed with rage.

"I…I don't know." Francine replied. "Kakui, can y-" She looked and he was gone. "Ka-Kakui? Sweetie?" She bit her lip as her eyes darted around.

"He's gone." Faba stated. "I…how?" He asked with disbelief before turning to Francine. "Is this the power of that thing?"

"I don't think this is a pokémon…" Francine murmured. The remaining group now consisting of: Lana, Aquamarina, Sophocles, Turtonator, Tsereena, Professor Burnet, Faba, and Lusamine. No one any the wiser, but more confused now than ever.

Tiffany returned to the Star fox headquarters on Corneria. She was in Samantha's debt now that she loaned her apartment to her, she felt responsible to help her with whatever she could.

"Morning, Tiffy!" One of the Cornerian soldiers saluted her.

"Morning, Henry." She waved and walked into the main control room. Krystal was standing at the table with General Pepper, Peppy, Slippy and his father, Beltino.

"Hi grandpa!" Tiffany walked up and hugged her grandfather from behind.

"Hello, Tiffany." He casually waved her off. She knew that he was hard at work, so she didn't take it to heart when he casually dismissed her.

"Galeem…Dharkon…Tabuu. What do they share in common?" Krystal placed a hand on her chin. "What common ground do they have?"

"Krystal, don't strain yourself too much. Dad and I figured it out." Slippy said with pride. Beltino chuckled and adjusted his glasses.

"That's right, son." Beltino smiled and pulled up a holograph projection. "Do you know the country, Fódlan?" Beltino asked. The room shook their head in unification. "There is a dark magic known as Zaharas. From what we understand, it is the same forbidden magic that lies within the Serenes Forest…a-according to these documents we found." Beltino hit another button and a couple documents and photos appeared along the main image of a light entity on the left, a dark entity on the right, and a blue human-like being in between them.

"Galeem and Dharkon…" Peppy folded his arms and shook his head.

"You remember the aparoid queen? That was a mere taste of Dharkon's powers. It's unlike any we've ever encountered."

"So, how can we defeat this…Dharkon?" General Pepper asked.

"…we're still looking into that. But this one…" Beltino pointed to the blue guardian. "To defeat him, we would need the blessing of a Goddess. Krystal, if you could find Zelda…I believe that the power of Hylia could possibly benefit our situation."

"Anyone else? If it's power we're after-" Krystal replied and Beltino nodded his head.

"I know where you're going, and I agree one hundred percent. The chaos emeralds, the golden star, the triforce…if we are to defeat the one known as Tabuu…we need an incredible force to counter its power. Every available fighter imaginable needs to come together and-" Tiffany screamed and broke the concentration of everyone in the board room.

"Tiffany, we can handle this…you don't need to-"

"Krystal! She…she's-"

"Krystal's fine. She's not in any-"

"Peppy…she's gone." General Pepper stated in surprise. Peppy turned around and looked around.

"How did she do that?" Peppy asked. "Beltino, is that the power of that Tabuu figure?

"Perhaps…Its ability to eliminate anyone who poses a threat…it can take everyone away in a split-"

"GENERAL!" Peppy yelled out, but he was gone as well. Peppy began vanishing as well.

"Beltino, Slippy…I trust you to figure this out. Our fate is in your hands." And with that, Peppy Hare was gone.

"Wha-what's happening?" Slippy asked and the sound of an exploding vehicle outside cut the remaining members off and they ran outside. What they were witnessing was complete and utter chaos.

"Oh my God…" Tiffany shook her head and watched as an orange frog ran as fast as his legs could carry them.

"Tony!" Tiffany yelled out and he began breathing heavily while trying to catch his breath.

"Ti…Tiff…any…wha…wha's going on?" He looked around in a panic.

"Tony, sit down…we're…we're trying to figure that out ourselves." Tiffany gulped hard and looked at the carnage that was ensuing around them.
