Five Years Later

Now sixteen, Anzu awoke from her slumber with a flush face. Feeling her heart racing, she thought while placing her legs closer to chest. 'Another dream about Atem and our first kiss on top of the jungle gym. Even after so much years that memory is still imprinted in my mind and heart.'

Hearing a knock coming from her bedroom window, the shoulder length brunette looked to see Atem. He only had on a black shorts so the brunette could see most of his slightly muscular body. The male now sixteen going on seventeen soon had worked out throughout his and Anzu's time in high school and had developed more muscles.

Getting out of bed, the younger teen who had on a blue shorts with a matching spaghetti strap blouse went to open the window.

Atem jumped inside before closing the window.

Anzu went over to her bed and shifted from her previous position to make space for the male to sleep.

Atem made his way under the sheet before hugging Anzu's waist. Closing his eyes, he let out a blissful sigh, happy to be with Anzu and have some peace and quiet. He found comfort and happiness being with her. He felt safe and loved in her arms.

Throughout the years his parents had begun aguring frequently before having make up sex. The agurments were usually about his father's supposed late night business meetings and his mother's suspecting but had no proof of him cheating It had become a recurring event and each time Atem would run to Anzu's bedroom to sleep while Yugi would sleep over Joey's house depending on how late the fights started. If not then he would sleep on the floor of Anzu's room.

Tonight Yugi happened to be over Joey's house finishing up a group project due the end of the week.

Anzu placed her arms around the male's neck, smiling. Since their first encounter the two had formed a close friendship which eventually evolved into that of a best friend one. They would flirt with each other and had shared several kisses throughout the five years but their relationship never transition to one of romance. It was due to fear. Fear of ruining the friendship they had formed.

Atem with his eyes still closed captured Anzu's lips with his own for a passionate lip lock. Returning his kiss, Anzu felt as Atem shifted. Soon she was on top of him.

Closing her eyes, the brunette felt as Atem squeezed her firm and full butt cheeks. She gasped softly allowing the male's tounge entrance into her mouth.

Feeling his hands move to her blouse Atem ended the kiss for a moment so he could remove Anzu's blouse to expose her round and firm bosoms.

Tossing her blouse aside he quickly captured her lips once more. This activity they began doing very early into their relationship. Soon after entering puberty, both developed a desire to do this after catching Joey and Yugi watching a X rated video while they were sleeping over at the Mutou's residence. Already having such a strong and mutual respect and understanding for each other as well as having a deep level of affection towards the other, they took that leap and made love. Both were happy that their first time was with someone they deeply cared about and trusted completely.

Holding her carefully, the kiss deepen and they soon made love.

Anzu moaned softly as Atem kissed her entire body. He left no place untouched as his delicate lips touched her toned body.

Reaching her lips, the male hovered over her and admired the masterpiece before him.

Anzu blushed as he gazed intensely at her. She used to feel insecure about how she looked but Atem reassured her that her body was sculpted to perfection and not even a goddess could compete with her beauty. What Atem didn't tell her is that no guy at school would dare approach her because he ensured that he had scared all of them away. The male felt selfish for wanting the brunette all to himself but he knew no one at that school is good enough for his Anzu. No one period was good enough for her apart from him.

Kissing her lips once more, he parted Anzu's legs before he entered her. Holding her waist tightly, Atem gently rested on top of the brunette.

Feeling Anzu hug his neck with her arms and waist with her legs, the male could hear her sweet moans. Atem knew he was selfish for wanting Anzu all to himself but didn't want to let her go. He loved her too much to see someone that wasn't him whisper sweet things meant for her ears only, hold her, kiss her and make love to her.

For the rest of the night the two made sweet and passionate love to each other.

The Next Day

Anzu was standing at the centre of Domino High's Gym. She had on a blue mini skirt with a black blouse and blue jacket. She also had on blue knee length high heel boots.

Currently she was on her way to winning the last duel of her senior year. She had an undefeated record both in official and unofficial duels. She held the title of Queen of Games due to her spotless record and numerous wins in duelling leagues.

The gym wasn't crowded as not a lot of people were interested in female duelling. Only a few members of staff, Anzu's father who was recording the match and cheering her on, couple girls from the female duelling club, a few strangers, Yugi, Joey, Tristan and Atem.

Anzu looked up at the top of the bleachers and saw Atem glaring at her as if she was the only person in the room. She smiled, admiring the male who had on a black shirt with a dark blue jacket and pants along with black shoes and a choker she had gotten him for his birthday last year.

Focusing on the black hair and tan skin female challenger, Anzu ordered Dark Magician Girl to attack her opponent and wipe out the rest of her life points.

Once the opponent's life points went down to zero, she fell to her feet. The referee declared Anzu the winner before handing her the large gold trophy.

Once the presentation was over Atem headed over to the champion.

"Congrats Zu, Zu." Atem gave her a smile only reserved for her. "Another trophy for your ever growing collection." Seeing her frown, he continued. "What's wrong?"

"Didn't see any college scouts at this tournament either." Anzu told him. "This is the last one and now I will never be able to get a scholarship to attend college. Mom and Dad have the money to pay for me to go. but I didn't want to pressure them. I was hoping to get a scholarship so I could prove to Mom that duelling isn't a waste of time or something reserved for only men." Indicating to the low crowd support and where her father sat, talking to someone on the phone. "She didn't even show up to this game either."

Atem reassured her. "Anzu, don't worry. Look on the bright side. Your Dad and friends came to support you plus I did see someone wearing a Domino University T-shirt, paying keen attention to you. Saw her talking to the coach before leaving not too long ago. I am sure any school would be lucky to have you."

Taking off the duel disk, Anzu removed her deck before handing Atem the item. "Borrowed yours because your locker was closer to the gym than mine. I took good care of it plus threw away some of your usual fan letters."

"The benefits of sharing a locker." Atem sarcastically mentioned as he took his duel disk from the brunette.

"You gave me free game to your locker and to dispose of fan mails. Besides you have access to my locker as well." Anzu remained him. "None of those girls are good enough for you, Atem."

The male cuffed one of Anzu's cheek before whispering. "Only you are good enough for me my sweet Apricot. I haven't met anyone more fitting for me to be with other than you."

'Then why not make me officially yours?' Anzu thought, wishing she and Atem were a couple instead of best friends with benefits.

She and Atem had been each other's first and only sexual partner. Anzu and Atem had an open and honest relationship even if is considered to be a strange one to outsiders.

Atem mentioned. "It is time for my duel. It is also time for me to receive my good luck charm, Queen of Games."

Anzu rolled her eyes. "You don't need a good luck charm."

She then kissed the male's lips.

Atem captured her waist with his arms as the kiss became more passionate. Kissing Anzu was his good luck charm and ensured they did it before every match. Atem had earn the title King of Games from when he defeated the creator of Duel Monsters, Pegasus. The male had only ever lost once in his entire duelling career and that was to the female in his arms. No one apart from them recalled that moment. The moment that was forever engraved in their minds as it was the day they first met. The female he adored more than life itself. The female he considered to be his Queen. The female he wanted so badly to be his but scared to change what they had and ruin the relationship they had formed. He was scared that Anzu didn't want anything more than that of a friendship with benefits.

Ending the kiss, Anzu spoke to her father before he left for work. She then went to take an available seat at the front as the gym became more crowded.

Atem's parents came and took a seat next to the brunette as the gym quickly became packed with students, media and scouts. All wanted to see the King of Games.
