"Come on, where is she?" asked an impatient Dipper. "She said she would be here by now."

Dipper was waiting at the Centre Fountain of MationIsle for his friend, Hilda. They were going to be go out in the city to hang out together since it had been a while since they last hung out.

"Hi, Dipper! What's going on?" said a voice form behind.

"Oh, hey Grizz!" said Dipper. "I'm just waiting for Hilda here. She and I are just gonna go around the city for a stroll."

"Oh, cool! So are my bros and I! We're shopping for a friend!" said Grizz. "What's the occasion for you?"

"Oh nothing. I've been kind of stressed out back at the Falls lately. I haven't had a mystery to solve for days and it's kind of been driven me a bit crazy..."

"Mommy, where are you?!"

"Oh, you're Mom's missing, ay? Where did you last see her?"

"Well, she went outside and-"

"Probably got taken away by a demon!"

"What?!"

"It's probably planning to eat her organs as we speak!"

"I don't like demons!"

"Come on! We gotta go get her before it gets away!"

"Ow! You're hurting me!"

"Billy! Who is this kid?!"

"Mommy, this kid is scaring me!"

"Just a detective doing his job, ha ha..."

...so Mabel thought hanging out with a friend would help me relax a bit."

"That's cool," said Grizz. "But what about Mabel? Won't she get lonely?"

"Nah, the Ducks are coming over to keep her company. Shouldn't be too boring for her, that's for sure! So, which friend are you shopping for?"

"Oh, uh, you know, he's not that important... you wouldn't really know him anyway..." said Grizz. "Anyways, see ya! Have fun!"

"Well, okay then, you too," said Dipper. "Well, that weird... sure hope that doesn't come into play later."

TAP! TAP! TAP! TAP! went the sound Hilda's boots hurriedly running on the sidewalk. On her way, she ran past Finn and Star.

"Morning, Finn! Morning, Star!" she said.

"Hi, Hilda!" said Star.

"Hey, Hilda! What's up?" asked Finn.

"Did you get to see something cool?" said Star.

"No, I wish though! I'm trying to get to Dipper! You seen him anywhere?"

"I think I saw him heading to the fountain when we passed by him," said Finn.

"You too go adventuring or something?" asked Star.

"No, not today," said Hilda. "We're just gonna spend time together. Like friends."

"You and Dipper taking a break from excitement?" teased Finn. "That doesn't sound like you two."

"What? Can't two friends can't just have day to relax from all the excitement that goes on around here?" Hilda replied wittingly. "Isn't that what you two are doing?"

"Touche," said Finn.

"Well, I better get going now!" said Hilda on her way. "It was nice running into you guys!"

"Later, Hilda!" said Finn.

"You have fun you two!" said Star. "Tell Dipper we said hi!"

Later, Hilda saw Dipper walking around aimlessly.

"Hi Dipper!"

"Hilda! Finally!"

"Sorry to keep you waiting! I thought I saw a dragon on the street back there-"

"A DRAGON?! FOR REAL?!"

"...but turns it it was just Lana's pet snake," Hilda finished.

"Sorry, it's just that it's been forever since I last had a mystery that involved something weird going on around here."

"I can relate. I'm not exactly better at home..."

"Hey Mum! I think I found something in here!"

KA-BOOM!

"...not gonna ask," said Dipper. "So, what's first on our mystery-free day?"

"Hmm... I was thinking we could go to check out the store over there," Hilda said pointing to the clothes shop behind him.

"Oh cool! Let's go!"
