Meanwhile, in another part of MationIsle, Craig was waiting for his friends Kelsey and JP to arrive at the stump. He was beginning to feel rather bored, since by now he would've come up with something fun to do in the Creek.

"Hey, Craig!" said Craig, mimicking JP. "What do you want to do today?"

"Oh, hi JP!" he said, being himself. "While you were gone doing who knows what, I was busy building us this awesome new sled we could try out for grass sledding!"

"Wow!" said an imitation of Kelsey. "This is so cool! It's a good thing we have you as a friend, Craig! You're the best!"

"Yeah, you're the man Craig! This is gonna be..." Craig mumbled looked down at his sled. "Nah, it's not the same..."

Before Craig could mope around some more, he heard the sound of a child screaming in the distance.

"Everyone! Everyone! Come take a look!" said the kid.

Craig went over to see what the commotion was, unaware he left his sled out in the open.

"Hey, what's going on?"

"Look what I found!"

The kid pointed to the ground revealing a giant footprint on the ground along with a smear of mud on one of the trees.

"Woah! Dude! What's that?!" asked Craig.

"Well, I don't know," said the kid. "That's why I was calling everyone over!"

The rest of the kids at the Creek looked at the footprint in awe and whispered to each other. Craig, meanwhile, was trying to figure out what made the foot print. It wasn't just any ordinary footprint. Oh no. It looked like it was over 7 ft long, easily being able to crush any of the kids. One kid thought it might have been a hobo, but Craig knew that it wasn't from anything human. The Creek might not be the most supernatural place on MationIsle, but it wasn't above having mysterious occurrences like this. Craig looked up and with a sure look, ran out of the Creek. He knew exactly who to go to in times like this.

Meanwhile, Hilda and Dipper were looking around in the store.

"Dipper, how does this look on me?" asked Hilda, wearing headbands with ears on them.

"Aw, that looks adorable on you," said Dipper. "What do you think of this?"

Dipper put on a hat that had antlers on it.

"Well, you'd make a cute deerfox," Hilda chuckled. "Ooh, Dipper! Look at this! What's does this keychain mean?"

"It says... 'Geeble'?" Dipper read. "Uh, what's it supposed to be?"

"..I don't know. I thought you would know."

"It looks like it's from some sort of show or something," said Dipper. "Kind of reminds me of this thing."

Dipper showed a picture in his journal of a similar looking creature with a giant pig-nose, shaggy fur, and two horns on it's head.

"Ooh... you think they're related?" asked Hilda.

"Doubt it," said Dipper. "This thing's nose is more pointy than that. Hey look!"

Dipper held out a stone statue in the shape of a troll.

"Maybe it's one of those rock trolls!"

"Ha! That is extremely inaccurate," said Hilda. "Rock trolls have a way rounder shape than that."

Hilda showed Dipper one of her drawings in her sketchbook.

"Wow! You drew that?" asked Dipper. "That looks amazing."

"Yes, I did," said Hilda. "And thank you. I like drawing creatures I come across."

"You probably already know this but all the drawings in here were done by my great uncle Ford,

Hilda held out a keychain, this time one in the shape of a golden triangle with an eye on it.

"...let's put that one back," said Dipper.

"Yeah, I'm not feeling this one," said Hilda. "Hey, what's that?"

Hilda looked up and saw a globe with a strange creature inside it. The globe at all sorts of switches, buttons, holes, and other things on it.

"Pocket Creature. Figure out how to open it and discover what's in it," Dipper read.

"...I wanna know what's in it," said Hilda. "I wanna free it. Look at it. It's looks so sad in there."

"A test of intelligence?" asked Dipper. "I'm in!"

Later, Hilda and Dipper went to the plaza cafe to get some lunch. While they were waiting for their food, they were trying to figure out how to open the creature inside the globe they bought.

"Man, how tight is this thing?" said Dipper. "How do you open this thing?!"

"Hey, there's a switch on that thing!" said Hilda, taking the toy. "Maybe if you flip it then... nope didn't work. Maybe there's some sort of code on it?"

"Y'know you could just look it up online," said the waiter.

"We already tried that," said Dipper. "No one can figure this thing out!"

"But... it's a children's toy," said the waiter.

"Yeah, but it's really... tough to... open," said Hilda trying to rip it open. "Maybe you have press all the buttons in a specific order. Are there any hints we're missing on this thing?"

"Maybe you have to hold it in the sun and reveal an invisible message on it?"

"Maybe you need to speak to the creature inside?"

"Hilda, it's not even real," said Dipper.

"Worth a try," said Hilda.

"Well, I got your guys' food here, so if you could take it that would be nice!" said the waiter, setting down the food.

"You know, I'm glad we get to spend the day to just relax. To be honest, I haven't really been getting the urge to solve for mystery for-"

Just then, the two heard the door nearby swing open. It was Craig, who looked like he had run a marathon.

"Hey, it's Craig," said Dipper. "What's wrong with him?"

"Oh, hey, Dipper, Hilda" Craig panted. "You two wouldn't happen to have seen two witches? Both kind of tall and dressed in black?"

"What's the matter?" asked Dipper concerned. "You seem worried about something."

"Well, one of the kids at the Creek found this giant footprint that belonged to some creature, and there's these witches I know that could maybe lure the creature out because witches are good at handling weird stuff like that..."

"Witches?" asked Dipper.

"Yeah. You know, they got these cards, they wear a lot of spooky clothes, and for some reason they look a lot like teenagers..."

"...uh, yeah... witches" said Dipper doubtfully.

"...I want to meet them!" said Hilda hopefully. "They sound like fun!"

"Um, I think I saw Lucy giving Lincoln a scare back there. Are you referring to here?"

"No, not Lucy!" groaned Craig. "You probably haven't seen them. I gotta go now. Thanks any-"

Craig paused for minute, looking at the two.

"Wait. Hold on! I don't need witches!" said Craig. "I got you two!"

"Wait, no, I think there's been a misunderstanding!" said Hilda. "I'm not a witch."

"No, I don't mean that! You guys are good at exploring for monsters and other things! You're a detective and you're an adventurer! Maybe you guys can come to the Creek!"

"Ooh! That sounds fun!" said Hilda.

"YES! FINALLY! A REAL MYSTERY FOR ME TO SOLVE! HAHA! THANK YOU!"

The restaurant went silent and everyone started staring at Dipper, who had his fists in the air and was standing on the chair.

"Sorry! It's just, it's been forever since I last had a mystery..."

"Cool! JP and Kelsey seem to be gone for the day, so maybe we could all hang out at the Creek?" asked Craig. "Ooh! Maybe I can join you guys on this creature hunt!"

"No offense, Craig," said Dipper nervously, "but do you know anything about mysterious creatures? Because the Creek's not exactly Gravity Falls..."

"Well, I've never had any personal experience with any creatures, but I could help you guys out!"

"What can you do?"

Craig then pulled out a map of the Creek.

"You need someone to guide you around the Creek?"

Dipper and Hilda were impressed by the map Craig slid towards them.

"Wow! You made this?" asked Dipper.

"Yep! I have knack for making maps!"

"I think this could really help in navigating for creatures!" said Hilda.

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go!" said Craig, heading out.

Dipper and Hilda followed Craig, leaving their food untouched.

"What? No tip?" asked the waiter rudely.
