Gamer4 in. You may be new to this project- I'd not blame you. The first two stories are both in the RWBY section, and the upcoming 3rd story- for which this is a preview- will be a crossover between RWBY and Persona. I could go in-depth into what those previous stories (Vale, and its prequel, Le Morte D'Arc) entailed, but this is primarily an introduction of Persona to the world set up there. Know only that you are entering a world that has strayed from its original purpose- as higher beings than myself might say, things in this world are not as they were intended to be. As the world strays further from its intents, we find that even the Investigation Team is not unaffected- as we see now.

Yellow Trailer
"Alright, keep me updated," Yu Narukami ordered.
"Of course, partner- anything happens up here, you'll be the first to know," came Yosuke Hanamura's voice from the other end of the phone. "You oughtta come up here when this is all over- the air is so clear up here, reminds me of Inaba!"
Narukami smiled. "I could definitely use some of that," he agreed before hanging up.
He turned to the other central members of his team- the Investigation Team, as they called themselves, an underground unit dedicated to solving mysteries the police overlooked or couldn't solve on their own, for one reason or another. Their operation had expanded greatly since leaving Inaba, its origin point, but this small crew still stood in the middle- himself, Yukiko Amagi, Chie Satonaka, Kanji Tatsumi, and Naoto Shirogane. Their remaining two members- Yosuka Hanamura and Rise Kujikawa- were out at the moment. Soon, Yukiko and Naoto would be, as well.
"No news from Vale?" Naoto asked swiftly.
"Nothing that Yosuke's seen."
"Like that means much," Chie scoffed.
"I know I keep bringing this up," Kanji put in, "but are we sure we can trust this Crow guy?"
"After all he seems to know, we can't afford to rule him out entirely," Naoto repeated.
"Yes, but... he also wants us to kill..."
Yukiko wavered. It was the cloud hanging over them all ever since that call so many months ago- a call from a man who purported to know how to tail the criminal they were hunting- a man who went by the odd alias, "Crow."
The man who would have them kill that criminal in exchange for his assistance.
The weight of this order was heavy on their shoulders- the woman they were searching for was undeniably wicked, perhaps the most evil person they'd ever come across- but still, could they bring themselves to take a life, even one as cursed as this?
"Let's settle on finding her before we decide our course of action," Naoto suggested. "Yukiko and I have a meeting with some of her lackies within the week- if we are lucky, we may even be able to meet her face-to-face. We will, of course, report everything back to you that we can."
"I don't like this," Kanji grumbled. "Sending you into the lion's den like this..."
"I don't like it either, but don't worry, Kanji, we can handle it." Yukiko offered a reassuring smile.
"So, you go do that, and we'll head to the safehouse," Chie summarized the rest of their plan. "If things go south, that's where we'll regroup."
"Right," Narukami agreed. "Meanwhile, we've got Rise over on Tatsumi Port Island, looking into her goals- with any luck, she'll get back in touch before you even leave."
"I hope so- it's not like her to be silent for so long," Yukiko reflected.
"So, we all understand our roles?" Narukami asked.
"Yes," they all nodded swiftly.
"Alright- meeting adjourned."

In his dreams that night, Narukami was back in Inaba- not his hometown in fact, but in spirit. He moved through towards the edge, where he found a graveyard. His heart raced faster as he approached a pair of stones set side-by-side. A song rang in his ears- a song he'd heard long after leaving Inaba for the last time, but that bore with him even now, so strikingly appropriate for his feelings as it was.
Red like roses
Fills my dreams and leads me to the place you rest...
White is cold and always yearning,
Burdened by a royal test...
He knelt at the side of the stones- one for a woman he'd never met- Chisato Dojima. The other stood for the man he'd once considered a father- Ryotaro Dojima, slaughtered in cold blood by the very monster he now hunted- the monster known to their secret informant, Crow, by only one name- Ruby Rose.
Black the beast,
Descends from shadows
Yellow beauty
Burns...
Gold...
