RAW, 3/12/2012:
Arena, On-Screen:
It was the start of the show, a scheduled match between the Prime Time Players and Team Hell No. The team of Daniel Bryan and Kane entered the arena first using Kane's music.
"The following is a tag team bout, set for one fall, introducing first, at a combined weight of five hundred and thirty-three pounds, the WWE Tag Team Champions, Daniel Bryan and Kane." Justin Roberts announced.
"Welcome live to Monday Night RAW, by ringside is myself, Michael Cole, and my partner, Jerry 'The King' Lawler." Cole introduced as Kane lifted his arms slowly before throwing them down, the red flames flew from the corner posts with a loud boom.
Just as the flames died down, Bryan spotted someone at the top of the crowd and tapped his partner on the shoulder, and then pointed at where he looked.
"Wait a minute," Lawler said as the camera revealed who Daniel had spotted.
"Is that?" Cole squinted at his monitor, a closer shot then let the two clearly see who it was. "It is! The Shield! Reigns on the left, Taylor and Rollins in the middle and Ambrose on the right. The Shield are here tonight, live in Greensboro."
Kane's music stopped and the crowd could be heard making noise as the tension in the room rose, knowing the destruction the four-person team could do.
The Big Red Machine got a microphone and rose it to speak to the Shield. "You know, you guys, are-are you real tough?" He questioned them as they stood in the skybox. "Way up there aren't ya? You claim to fight against injustice, well why don't you come down here right now, and we'll give you something to fight about?!" The crowd wanted this and popped loudly. Taylor meanwhile frowned at the two and turned her head so it couldn't be seen, she whispered in Rollins' ear. The Shield not even responding to the crowd chanting 'you suck!' at them, simply glaring at the team. Rollins nodded at what Taylor whispered, who then turned to Ambrose and whispered to him as well. Seth turned and talked to Reigns, who was beside him.
"Looks like The Shield perch is way high in that skybox," Lawler said as the Prime Time Players came out.
"Yeah, picking their moment, picking their time." Cole realised.
"And their opponents, at a combined weight of five hundred and nine pounds, Darren Young and Titus O'Neil. The Prime Time Players!" Roberts announced.
"So now, Daniel Bryan and Kane both have to concentrate on the tag team of the Prime Time Players, knowing that The Shield is here, in this arena tonight. It's going to be some night here on RAW." Cole continued to speak. The Prime Time Players entered the ring and the match quickly started after that.
It wasn't long into the match, however, when Kane knocked Darren Young down from the apron and clotheslined Titus over the to rope. Daniel, who continued to look at The Shield, quickly noticed that two members were missing and told Kane.
The cameras then changed to the skybox to see Ambrose and Taylor still there with Rollins and Reigns nowhere to be seen.
"Well, last week, in an inclusive interview. That man Dean Ambrose said that The Shield is no way, working with WWE Champion, CM Punk." Cole reminded the audience.
"Wait, is there only two of them up there now." Lawler spotted, checking his monitors again.
Cole noticed it as well. "You know, I-I'm looking up from ringside. I think you're right King, I thought that was just a tight shot from our cameras. It appears that Ambrose and Taylor are the only ones left in that skybox." Another camera shot then confirmed what the two spoke about. "They are the only ones so where did Rollins and Reigns go?"
In the ring, it was a mostly one-sided affair with Kane and Bryan easily dominated the Prime Time Players. The commentators still talking about the circumstances between The Shield and CM Punk, with Cole trying to justify The Shield's actions and Jerry not buying it, still believing in the rumour that The Shield was working for CM Punk.
Roman was then shown to be halfway down the stairs towards the ring and the commentators saw it.
"Hey, look at this, look at this," Lawler said.
"Roman Reigns, who has appeared to have worked his way down amongst the people here, at the colosseum in Greensboro," Cole said.
"He's halfway down," King said as Team Hell No noticed Reigns, despite this the Tag Team Champions were able to continue to dominate their opponents, only for Darren to move out fo the way when Kane went for a jumping elbow strike.
The Prime Time Players were able to take control with Cole and Lawler talking about the potential of the team when the crowd suddenly started to scream, catching the two off guard as they looked around.
"Obviously er." Cole stuttered. "You can tell by the commotion amongst the WWE fans, you can see Reigns getting closer to the ring, moving down the steps. Daniel Bryan and Kane still figuring out what's happening." A camera showed Ambrose walking down the opposite set of stairs. "And there Ambrose made his way out of the skybox. The two have kept their eyes on Bryan and Kane."
"The thing is, they have to keep their eyes off the ring," Jerry said. "They have to be conscious about The Shield at all times. They might get jumped from behind."
"Well, Team Hell No have to focus on the task at hand," Cole said as a long camera shot of the area showed Ambrose and Reigns on the stairs, Taylor still in the skybox but no sign of Rollins.
"Yeah, there's those two, Taylor is still in the skybox but where's the other one?" Lawler wondered as the show went to commercial.
"And we are back live on Monday Night RAW, Team Hell No against the Prime Time Players here, tag team action but the real story is developed outside the ring," Cole informed the audience as Titus was able to take Kane down with a clothesline. "We know that four members of The Shield are here tonight." A camera showed Roman standing within the crowd at the bottom of the stairs. "Roman Reigns there made his way out of the skybox. Dean Ambrose as well here tonight, Willow Taylor still in the skybox and the last member, Seth Rollins who was in the skybox when the show started here tonight, is nowhere to be found."
The match continued, shots of Dean, Roman and Willow glaring at the ring were shown as Michael and Jerry continued to talk about a mix between The Shield and the match. Daniel Bryan, able to get the hot tag trapped Young into the No Lock to a pop from the crowd.
"Daniel Bryan with the No Lock on Darren Young!" Cole cried just as Titus entered the ring and stomped on Bryan to break the submission. "Titus O'Neil making sure that Darren Young doesn't tap out and here comes Kane." The Big Red Machine ran in and knocked Titus out of the ring.
Roman and Dean were able to walk to the barricade corners, Lawler noticed. "Oh, look at these guys."
Kane exited the ring to the apron when suddenly Darren Young pushed Bryan into Kane, knocking the big man off the apron, hitting his head against the barricade to stun him, then Young rolled Bryan up.
"Reigns and Ambrose at the barricade and-Darren Young!" Cole cried out. "From behind, rolling up Bryan!" Daniel then reversed into a roll-up of his own. "Bryan reversal!" The referee then quickly moved into position and started to count.
"One!"
"Two!"
"Three!"
"And Team Hell No picking up the win!" Cole said Bryan's them played just as Reigns and ambrose jumped the barricades and immediately jumped Kane.
"Look out!" Lawler screamed.
"A beeline for Kane and now a two on one assault, and look out, from behind Seth Rollins," Cole saw as Seth Rollins slid into the ring and attacked Bryan from behind. "Rollins ambushing Daniel Bryan from behind! The Shield strikes again!"
"We know what was going to happen when we saw those four!"
Rollin continued to stomp on Bryan just as Kane's arm was held between the steps and the ring post by Roman, Dean then appeared from off-screen and kicked the steps causing Kane to flinch violently, Dean continued to stamp on the stairs just as Roman attacked Kane's midsection and back. "Look at Kane's arm! Trapped between the post and the steps!"
As this was going on Taylor continued to look on back at the skybox.
In the ring, Daniel Bryan was able to start punching Rollins back, the crowd cheering. "And Bryan fighting back!" Ambrose and Reigns saw this and quickly entered the ring, Bryan was able to punch Dean away but was taken down by a clothesline from Roman. "And the big man Reigns, with a wicked clothesline, taking down Bryan and now a three-on-one mugging continues!"
"Like a pack of wolves." Lawler compared. The crowd screaming 'Feed me more!' becoming deafening.
"That pack mentality," Cole said. "We see it again here tonight."
"This is a devastating beat down of Daniel Bryan." Lawler was despondent at the sight happening in front of him. Ambrose and Rollins dragged Bryan to his feet and picked him up to put him on Roman's shoulders. "Oh no, not this!"
The three men then threw the smaller man down with force. "We saw this move before, the move that was used on Ryback, in the middle of the ring," Cole said. Ambrose, Reigns and Rollins stood in the middle of the ring, the audience booing around them. "They claim they're here to snuff out injustice. I'd love to hear the explanation for this attack."
Jerry agreed. "I would too, why don't you make one?"
The three men, knowing that they had achieved what they set out to do, exited the ring and left through the ring announcer section. "Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, again make their mark." The three men left the ring before walking into the crowd, Kane rolled into the ring while he gritted his teeth, holding his injured arm to his side.
A camera then showed Taylor still in the skybox, a smirk on her face. "And Willow Taylor, looking on as her fellow Shield teammates wreak havoc on Team Hell No."
Later
On-Screen:
It after a small backstage talk between Cena and Sheamus when the match between Tamina and AJ Lee had started.
AJ Lee was on top of the top rope, hoping for a high-risk move when Tamina grabbed Lee and pulled her off the corner, she landed squarely on her back. The referee checking on her as she rolled onto her front and groaning.
"Oh, good grief!" Lawler flinched.
Cole went to speak about AJ Lee's relationship with John Cena as the crowd immediately started to become loud.
"What's going on?" Cole looked around, not seeing what got the crowd in a frenzy.
He was answered when Willow Taylor immediately jumped the barricade and slid into the ring, the referee saw this and immediately called for the bell.
"Wha-Willow Taylor!" Cried the King. "Where did she come from?!"
"The referee called for the bell, this match has been deemed a no contest," Cole said.
Willow targeted Tamina first and attacked with forearms and elbow smashes to Snuka's jaw, shoving the woman to the corner and pushing her to sit, unable to defend herself, Tamina was knocked out from the punishment and went limp.
"Oh, Taimina is out! This diva is vicious!" Lawler said.
Taylor turned around, seeing AJ Lee was trying to stand. Lee had her back to Taylor who turned her head slowly before smirking with murderous intent in her eyes.
"I don't like that look." Cole's mind went back to the interview he had with The Shield and remembered the same look Willow had given him.
Willow stepped towards AJ and swiftly wrapped her arms around Lee's neck, cutting off the smaller woman's blood circulation. AJ tried to move, struggling to get out of Willow's tight grip.
"AJ! Trying to fight out of the rear-naked choke! Taylor's got the hold locked on tight though!" Cole called, the audience booing the woman.
Lee stopped moving and, like Tamina, went limp. Willow knelt slowly, showing how AJ was only holding up thanks to Willow's arms.
"AJ's gone, she's out!" Lawler said. Taylor went down to a knee before throwing Lee away, the woman sagging to the mat.
"It seems like Willow Taylor, alongside her Shield brothers. It seems Willow has it out for the divas of the WWE." Cole said, Willow dropped her smirk and left the arena the same way the other Shield members did earlier, through the ring announcer area.
"I wonder what her explanation for these attacks are," Lawler said.
Later
Arena:
"Stay down kid, you won't have far to fall," Lawler said, mocking Brad Maddox as the man stumbled to his feet, turning around into an RKO from Randy Orton.
Brad Maddox was forced into the match by Vickie Guerrero, saying that he can earn a WWE wrestlers contract if he could beat his opponent. His opponent was revealed to be Randy Orton and Maddox did not have a chance as he was completely dominated by the Viper.
"RKO!" Cole cried as Randy covered Brad.
"One!"
"Two!"
"Thanks for coming, Mr Maddox."
"Three!"
"He was right, it would be entertaining." Cole mocked, saying Maddox's words back.
"Here is your winner, Randy Orton!"
The crowd once again went loud as all of The Shield slid into the ring and jumped Orton. "Hey, it-it's The Shield. Rollins, Ambrose, Reigns, Taylor! Now, assaulting Orton!"
"It's this pack of wolves! Tell me what injustice Orton did to deserve this?" Lawler questioned his partner. Randy tried to get away, crawling away but the four was too much for him.
"A pummeling!" Cole now started to feel scared, the four-person team attacked more and more wrestlers and divas every week. Randy was dragged onto his feet and quickly picked up to sit on Reigns' shoulders, Taylor standing on the apron behind them.
Taylor springboarded off the ropes and clotheslined Orton as he was pulled down by the three men.
"And again!" Cole cried. "The Viper, victim of The Shield."
The four stood to drink the moment in for second before leaving through the crowd.
"Is there any possible explanation for this?" Cole once again asked.
"I don't know, something got to be done," Jerry said back.
RAW
MizTV, On-Screen:
It was the last section of the show, CM Punk's lie detector test on MizTV.
It was near ten-minute section with Punk and the Miz having back and forth words as the doctor plugged the WWE Champion up to the detector. They tested some questions first when the Miz asked Punk if could beat Ryback one on one. Punk answered which showed up false on the lie detector test, it showed on the titantron and when Punk realised it, catching the champion off guard.
Then Miz asked the question that he really wanted to know. "Why don't we get something more concrete?! Did you work with Brad Maddox at Hell in a Cell? Did you work with the Shield to win at Survivor Series?!" Miz raised his voice for the list of questions he asked. "Did you?" Punk hesitated to which Miz continued. "Answer it! Answer it!"
Punk hesitated to answer, glaring at the Miz as the crowd started to scream, with some chanting 'Yes!' when suddenly Miz was forcefully pulled out of the ring.
"What-?!" Cole and Lawer screamed at the same time.
"It's-It's The Shield!" Cole saw. Rollins climbed on top of Miz and punched the former tough enough contestant, in the ring Dean, Willow and Roman entered the ring and cleared the table. "They just assaulted Miz. Rollins, Ambrose, Reigns and Taylor." Dean and Roman then lifted the table and threw it out of the ring, landing with a massive boom. "Look out King!"
Rollins pulled Miz away to the barricade coroner and continued to stamp on Miz's midsection. "The Shield destroying Miz TV. Right before was gonna answer the ever-important question." Cole told the audience at home, as Seth threw Miz inside the ring where he was immediately pounced on by Ambrose. "And now the four on one assault on The Miz."
The audience booed as for the fourth time tonight, members of The Shield has attacked a member of the WWE as well as stopping CM Punk from telling the truth. Denying them what they wanted to know.
"Was there any injustice here tonight?" Cole now was annoyed.
"Yeah, this is the only injustice here." Jerry scowled at the assault in the ring.
Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns then performed their powerbomb without Taylor's involvement, who stood back and leaned against the ropes.
"Oh! First Team Hell No, then Randy Orton now The Miz. The Shield running rough shot all over RAW!" Cole had to speak up as the crowd once again started to go deafening as Daniel Bryan and Kane stormed down the ramp.
"Hey," Lawler tapped his partner on the shoulder.
"And here comes Kane and Daniel Bryan! Looking for payback earlier tonight!" Team Hell No slid into the ring, and the three men of The Shield entered a fistfight with Daniel and Kane, but the numbers game overpowered the Tag Team Champions. Rollins and Ambrose fought Kane while Roman, Taylor and Bryan were fighting. "Once again, The Shield unloading. Ambrose and Rollins, two on Kane."
"Yeah, it's a numbers game."
"And Daniel Bryan, busy with Reigns and Taylor. And again, this is where The Shield is so dangerous. A pack of wolves mentality." Cole continued.
The audience was going ballistic with chatter, then got louder as Ryback's song played. The crowd erupted with cheers.
"And here comes Ryback!" Cole started as someone else followed behind Ryback. "And that-that's Kaitlyn!"
"She's had trouble with Willow, guess she wants payback herself." Lawler guessed.
"That's true, and the numbers are now even. The monster and Kaitlyn, beelining it to the ring. Beelining for The Shield." Cole finished as Ryback and Kaitlyn slid into the ring.
Kaitlyn immediately went for Willow as the two met, exchanging punches to the head. Ryback meanwhile was able to take out the three men of The Shield with clotheslines and powerful blows.
"Ambrose, Reigns." Cole listed those that went down as they happened.
Lawler was excited. "Here comes Ryback!".
As Ambrose got back up, Ryback targeted him again but Dean was able to get a lucky attack to the monster's head. Stunning the big man.
Kaitlyn got the upper hand and pushed Willow in the turnbuckles, able to launch several right hands in quick succession.
"Kaitlyn, taking the fight to Taylor, getting payback after the attack over the past couple of weeks," Cole said as Ryback stumbled to the corner. Dean went to continue fighting only to be lifted out of the ring over the top rope to the outside, Ryback quickly exiting to make sure he punished the Shield member. "There goes Ambrose, and Ryback's on the hunt. Suddenly things are even, four on four."
Ryback grabbed Ambrose picking him up and tossing him over the barricade. "Ryback trying to neutralise The Shield." The two men were now going through the crowd with the monster still dominating Ambrose. "Ryback chasing Ambrose through the arena."
"Well, he's doing a check of a job so far." Lawler chuckled in amazement, happy that The Shield were finally on the back foot.
Kaitlyn, Kane and Daniel were able to get their opponents out of the ring, following them. "And so are Daniel Bryan, Kane and Kaitlyn. The Shield getting a bit of theirs here."
Seth was forced back over the barricade with Bryan following him. Kaitlyn and Willow were still fighting in the ring when the two-toned divas raised a knee straight into Taylor's gut.
Willow grunted and fell to a knee, Kaitlyn quickly stepped back into a corner and charged, turning Taylor inside out with a striking spear.
The crowd cheered as Cole screamed. "A spear! A spear! Kaitlyn just took out the woman of The Shield with a devastating spear!"
"This flight's all over the arena, oh, what a shot from Kane." Lawler tried to keep up and call the action.
Kane delivered an uppercut to Roman and was able to push the man over the barricade. The commentators were now too torn on which group to follow.
Willow rolled out of the ring and crawled towards another barricade corner, trying to escape only for Kaitlyn to follow, pick her up by her waistband and SWAT gear and throw her over the corner.
"Kaitlyn, dumping Taylor over the barricade!"
The cameras didn't follow the two divas, however, as CM Punk, who disappeared when The Shield attacked the Miz suddenly appeared in the middle of the ring, standing over a barely awake Miz.
"And now CM Punk," Cole said. Punk was yelling at Miz about asking him a question before kicking Miz. "This is deplorable, Miz is defenceless." The WWE Champion then kicked the mix out of the ring, just as his song played.
He posed on the turnbuckles, raising his arms in a double bicep pose with a smug smile on his face. "Miz TV, completely destroyed by The Shield. CM Punk never had the opportunity to answer the all-important question. If The Shield was worming with Punk?"
"I think the answer was the actions seen tonight." Lawler was convicted in what he said.
CM Punk then stepped down from the turnbuckle, only to be greeted by Ryback booting him straight in the stomach.
"Oh my god, look who's in the ring!" Cried the King, shocked the Ryback seemed to teleport into the ring.
"It's Ryback!"
Ryback grabbed Punk in a suplex position only to lift him up for a Shellshock, matching around the ring in a circle, before running and falling to slam Punk down. The monster looked at the crowd before immediately going out of the ring and collecting a steel chair, raising it to the crowd.
"Oh, this is symbolic," Cole said. "Two weeks from the PPV: Tables, Ladders and Chairs for the WWE title." Ryback then chucked the chair into the ring before walking around and looking underneath another section of the ring.
"Punk's flattened in the middle of the ring."
Ryback saw what he wanted and pulled it out, revealing a ladder.
"Oh!" Jerry exclaimed in anticipation. Ryback climbed into the ring with the ladder and picked it up, getting ready to attack Punk with it, the top facing the WWE Champion. "Wait a minute. It looks like Ryback wants to destroy Punk right here." Jerry screamed as Punk stumbled to his feet, turned and was hit in the stomach with the top of the ladder.
Then Ryback smacked the chair on Punk's back, causing the man to cry out in pain.
The monster then went out and brought a table into the ring, setting it up near the centre to the audience's delight.
"Punk is trying to claw away." Cole saw. "Find someplace to crawl away and hide. Punk is pray right now for Ryback." Chants of 'Feed me more!' echoed as Ryback stood and waited for Punk to stand. "No Shield to save him now."
Ryback grabbed Punk and got ready to powerbomb the WWE Champion through the table.
"Well, you said Punk wasn't going anywhere." Ryback lifted Punk and threw him through the table, breaking it straight in half. "He's going through the table!"
"Tables, ladders and chairs!"
"CM Punk felt them all tonight!"
Ryback stood over Punk, putting his foot on the man's stomach as a callback. His song playing as his chant filled the arena.
"Ryback with a small modicum of revenge here tonight on Monday Night RAW!" Cole finished as the show faded to black.
