"I have something important for you to do. In the standard dimension, there is a girl named Hiiragi Yuzu. I want you to find her and bring her to me. Do not fail me… Yuki Judai."
"Of course, professor. Right away." A teen in an obelisk blue uniform smiled as he walked away.
After I beat that weird thing, I woke up standing on a sidewalk in some random place. I was standing next to a building that looked a lot like You Show from ARC-V. A bunch of people were walking in. Oh god, I was having an isekai dream, wasn't I?! And about the worst Yu-Gi-Oh! show ever. I saw a deck box on my hip. I looked through the deck in it. "Amorphage." Wait, why do I have a different deck? And why is it all pendulum cards when it looked like I was in episode 2? This was weird. But it was a dream, so I'll allow it. Having literally nothing better to do, I walked into the school.
I was almost immediately trampled by dozens of people leaving at once. I guess Yuya gave his "You need special trading cards to do a thing you need special cards for" speech. If you couldn't guess already, I hate ARC-V. I walked up to Yuya.
"You're Sakaki Yuya, aren't you?"
"Yes."
"The pioneer of pendulum summoning?" Hey, just because I hated the show doesn't mean I didn't watch it.
"Yeah, I am. What do you want?"
"All I want is to ask you a few questions."
"For the last time, you can't pendulum summon without pendulum cards!"
"Hey, don't get cranky. I have those already. I was just wo-"
"How do you have those?! I thought I was the only one who could pendulum summon!"
"Yuya, calm down! And who are you, anyway?" Yuzu said from the peanut gallery.
Crap in a bucket! I didn't plan for this! Think of a fake last name, think of a fake last name… "Thomas. Thomas… Kogami." What can I say, I loved VRAINS. "And Yuya, ummmmmmm… when I was watching your duel with The Sledgehammer, my deck started glowing. And boom! Pendulum cards."
"Seriously?"
"Totally."
"I'm not sure I trust you… duel me!"
"What, why?" Besides that being the only way to solve problems here.
"If I win, you have to tell me the truth! And if you win I'll leave you alone." Yuya said.
"Fine. Let's duel!"
Thomas: 4000
Yuya: 4000
"I'll go first." I said. "I set a monster and two cards face down and end my turn."
"Okay then! I summon Performapal Hip Hippo in attack mode!" (LV 3. ATK 800) A bright pink hippo in a fancy suit appeared on the field. I had forgotten how disturbing Yuya's deck was. "Now, using its effect, I tribute summon Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon (LV 7. ATK 2500. SC 4)! Attack his monster!" Dragon Dowser (LV 4. DEF 1500). A creature that looked like a dragon crossed with a Christmas ornament exploded into particles.
"With Dowser's effect, I summon one earth pendulum monster from my deck in DEF mode. I summon Amorphage Goliath (LV 8. DEF 0. SC 5)." A massive dragon appeared on the field. It had gray scales and massive wings. A spike protruded from its chest, with a light blue gem on top. The dragon took a defensive stance.
"I end my turn."
"During the end phase, due to Dowser's effect, Goliath is destroyed. When a pendulum monster is destroyed, it goes to the extra deck instead of the graveyard. My turn, draw! I activate the trap Pendulum Reborn. I get to summon Goliath back to my field from the extra deck! (ATK 2750). Now I activate the trap Amorphage Lysis. For each Amorphage card I control, your monsters lose 100 ATK. With 2, they lose 200 ATK." Odd-Eyes shrunk in size. Odd-Eyes (ATK 2500-200=2300). "Now I activate the spell Amorphage Infection. For each Amorphage card I control, my monsters gain 100 ATK!" My monster grew bigger. Goliath (ATK 2750+300=3050) Odd-Eyes (ATK 2300-100=2200). "I activate Pot Of Greed!" I exclaimed, drawing two cards.
"What does it do?"
I'm pretty sure I anime sweat dropped. "I get to draw two cards. Now, with scale 5 Amorphage Gluttony and scale 3 Amorphage Sloth, I set the pendulum scale! Now I normal summon Amorphage Lechery (LV 2. ATK 1350+600=1950. Sc 5) Goliath (ATK 3050+300=3350) Odd-Eyes (ATK 2200-300=1900)." A red half dragon half scorpion creature appeared on my field. On its back, there was a spike, which held a diamond shaped red gem. My monsters got bigger and Yuya's shrunk.
Everyone gasped.
"He really can pendulum summon!" Gasped Yuzu.
"Finally, I activate the field spell Amorphous Persona! All my Amorphages gain 300 ATK!" My monsters grew even bigger. Goliath (ATK 3350+300=3650) Lechery (ATK 1950+300=2250). "Goliath attacks Odd-Eyes! Titan smash!" Goliath rammed into the dragon, destroying it.
Yuya: 4000-1750=2250
"Now, Lechery attacks you directly!"
Yuya: 2250-2250=0
"Good game."
"Yeah, that was a fun duel! I hope we can duel again sometime!"
I was surprised at Yuya's 180. "Really?"
"Yeah. It was actually pretty fun to duel against someone who can pendulum summon! And I lost, so I won't question you anymore."
"That duel was great!" Said Tatsuya.
"It gave me the shivers!" Cried The Almighty Shivers Kid, Destroyer Of Worlds.
"I wanna see another duel!" Ayu exclaimed.
Oh right. The peanut gallery. I turned to them and took a clumsy bow. "Glad we could entertain you!" Everyone started laughing. Suddenly, Shuzo pretty much teleported so he was an inch away from my face.
"What a hot-blooded duel! I can't believe you beat Yuya! Do you want to enroll at this school!?"
Yuzu pulled out her paper fan of death and swung. Shuzo flew into the wall, leaving a massive crater.
"Dad… what did I tell you about personal space?!"
"She's scary." I whispered to Yuya.
"You have nooo idea."
As Yuzu proceeded to mercilessly beat her father into a bloody pulp, I turned to Yuya.
"Hey Yuya…"
"Yeah?"
"I… kind of don't have a place to stay for the night. Do you mind if I crash at your place?"
"No problem, Thomas!"
"Great!"
Later That Night After I "met" everyone at You Show, I came to Yuya's house and "met" his mother. My excuse for not having a place to live was me "being an orphan". Thankfully, everyone believed me. I felt bad for lying, but at this point in the show no one would believe I was from another dimension.
Before bed, I got to see myself in the mirror for the first time. My hair was the same dirty blond color, but it stuck up like Yusei's, with an extra spike right in the middle of my head, that tilted backwards. I had the same gray sweater and blue jeans, and my eyes were bigger, but the same grayish gold color. I also had a backpack with my computer from the real world. At this point there was no denying this wasn't a dream. I waited for Yuya to go to bed, then took out my computer. Since I still had some fanfiction websites bookmarked on it, I sat down and began to type.
"I awoke with my deck boxes glowing…"
A/N. Since I liked the concept for this story, I decided to continue writing. I feel like I did a lot better with the second chapter.

After Shingo Sawatari steals Yuya's pendulum cards, Thomas must duel him to get them back. But Sawatari has other plans.
Chapter 4: Confrontations And Candy:
With Sora now stalking Thomas, he decides to duel for his right to privacy. But as he duels, he also manages to confront Sora about his Academia roots.
