YU-GI-OH! ARC-V: PENDULUM OF KINGS
Chapter 3: The Incredible Shingo
I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh
I woke up on Yuya's couch, confirming my suspicions that I wasn't dreaming about being trapped in an anime.
'Okay…' I thought to myself. 'I've just got to stay calm. Just stay calm and- oh who am I kidding? Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!' After internally screaming for about five minutes, I managed to calm down. If I just followed the plot, I could probably get out of this horrible reality… where everyone loves my favorite card game… and there are tangible holograms for said card game… and I have an OP deck… okay, maybe I should try and have some fun while I'm here.
Random School No One Cares About
Since Yoko was technically my new guardian, I had to go to school. Yuya was sleeping because he stayed up all night practicing card games. I was asleep because I didn't give a crap about math.
"Mr. Sakaki, Mr. Kogami, why aren't you two paying attention?"
"Pendulum summon!" Yuya screamed, holding up his stargazer and timegazer cards.
"What?" I muttered, wiping some drool of my cheek.
And that was the first time I felt the agony of Yuzu's fan hitting me in the head.
"Detention for you. When will you learn?" Said the teacher. Did he just make a Baldi's basics reference?
As I walked out of detention with Yuya, the peanut gallery (who were there for some reason, and Yuzu (Yuzu waited for us), I considered the possibilities of how many card games I could play before they became life or death. The answer: a lot.
"Hey Thomas, I know my dad is a little… eccentric… but are you going to enroll at You Show?" Asked Yuzu.
"Oh, yeah. I never signed up yesterday, did I?"
"Nope." Said Yuya. "Hey, I just realized you haven't had an action duel yet. I was in such a hurry to get answers yesterday, I forgot to make it an action duel."
"Yeah, no problem. I'm sure I'll have one soon."
"Yeah. Hey, Thoma-"
I had no idea what Yuya would have said if three suction cup darts hadn't attached themselves to his face at that moment.
"Bulls-eye!" Shouted a mysterious ma- oh who am I kidding it's just Shingo. As they exchanged the same dialogue as in the anime, I picked at a scab on my elbow. Wow, I am not paying attention to anything today. We walked to LDS for plot reasons, and Shingo stole Yuya's pendulum cards, surprising everyone (except me).
"So umm… Ringo, right? Any chance you'll just give those back and Yuya won't have to waste his time dueling you?" I asked.
"It's SHINGO! And no. These belong in the hands of a GOOD duelist."
"Then why do you have them?"
"I.., grr. I was going to duel Yuya, but since you're so annoying, I'll make you shut up!"
"Sorry, I don't have a spare five seconds. Maybe when you're competent." I said as I walked away. Okay, I admit to not liking Shingo. Guilty as charged.
"Get them." Shingo snapped his fingers and his goons grabbed everyone except me. "And here's some trash for you. These cards will fit you perfectly." He said, throwing a pile of cards on the ground.
"Shingo, why aren't you lying down in these!? You said it was a pile of trash! Besides, new cards are for people who don't think their deck is good." I replied, burning him again. Actually Shingo was pretty fun to mess with.
"Shut up. Action field activate! Prison Tower Of Darkville!" A dark city surrounded us. A tower rose from the ground under the peanut gallery, sending them hundreds of feet up in the sky.
"Aaaaahhhhh!" Everyone screamed.
"Fine then. Let's duel!"
Shingo: 4000
Thomas: 4000
"I'll go first. I summon Lightning Hoverboard (LV 4. ATK 1400)!" Shingo exclaimed, flying off on a hoverboard with lightning crackling around it to look for action cards. I ran after him.
"My turn! Draw! I activate Pot Of Greed to draw two more cards!" Oh you cannot be serious. My hand had one pendulum monster, three spells, and two traps. Also… this card was new. I couldn't summon it yet, though. "I activate the field spell Amorphous Persona! Now I use two copies of Amorphage Infection. I set one monster and two cards, then I'll end my turn."
"What a pathetic move! It's time to show you how a real duelist duels! I draw!" Shingo smiled evilly. "With scale one Stargazer Magician and scale eight Timegazer Magician, I set the pendulum scale! With these I can summon monsters with levels from two to seven! Pendulum summon! Rocket Dart Striker (LV 5. ATK 1800) and Ultimate Dart Striker (LV 7. ATK 2400)!" I gulped. "Now, Power Dart, attack his facedown monster!" Everyone gasped.
"Thomas!" Tatsuya cried.
"Don't worry, kid. I've got this." Amorphage Greed (LV 4. DEF 1950. SC 3) A dragon with hedgehog quills on its back flipped face up. On its stubby tail there was a spike which held a brown gem.
"I activate my traps! Two Amorphage Lysis! Since I control five Amorphage cards, with two Lysis, your monsters lose one thousand attack! And with two Infections, mine gain a thousand! And my field spell gives greed three hundred more defense!" Power Dart (ATK 1800-1000=800) Hoverboard (ATK 1400-1000=400) Ultimate Dart (ATK 2400-1000=1400) Greed (DEF 1950+1000=2950+300=3250). "So you take 2450 damage!"
Shingo: 4000-2450=1550
"You got lucky! I activate Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy your field spell." Amorphous Persona shattered. Greed (DEF 3250-300=2950) "I end my turn."
"My turn!" Amorphage Pride. With this I could… "I use Persona's effect from the graveyard!"
"What?! An effect from the graveyard!?" Shingo screamed.
"With it, by banishing this card and tributing pendulum monsters from my hand and field whose total levels equal eight, I can ritual summon!"
"Nani?!"
"By tributing Amorphage Greed from my field and Amorphage Pride from my hand, I ritual summon!" Think of a cool summoning chant! Ummm…. got it! "Immortal lord of suffering! Bare your fangs from the blackest depths of hell and rip to shreds all who oppose you! Ritual summon! Level eight, Amorphactor Pain, The Imagination Dracoverlord!"
A crack appeared in the ground of the city, and flames spewed out. Flying up from the abyss was a gray skeletal dragon, with fiery red eyes. Sludge and filth dripped off it as it roared. It towered over the tallest buildings. Fused to its back was a man with dragon wings and gray hair. On his chest was a gray gem. He flung his head from side to side and screamed in pain.
"M-m-mommy?" Shingo whimpered, too scared to look for action cards. The young kids looked away and buried their heads in Yuya and Yuzu's stomachs.
Pain (LV 8. ATK 2950-400=2550. Hoverboard (ATK 400+200=600) Power Dart (ATK 800+200=1000) Ultimate Dart (ATK 1400+200=1600)
"Now, attack his hoverboard with eternal hell flame and end this duel!"
Shingo: 1550-1950=0
Before the action field dissolved, I had Pain carry everyone to the ground.
"Thomas, I didn't know you could ritual summon!" Yuya exclaimed.
"That monster was scary and cool! It gave me the shivers!" Futoshi cried as he wiggled like a worm having a seizure.
"Awesome! You really showed that bully!" Exclaimed Ayu and Tatsuya.
"Good job, Thomas." Said Yuzu, making me blush a bit.
"Sorry to interrupt the party, but you're going to give me that deck of yours now. Get them!" Shingo said. His goons lunged forward. Before they got a foot, a lollipop stick flew through the air, knocking everyone unconscious.
"Wow, you looked really cool there!" A certain cyan haired midget shouted. Oh no. Sora. He's going to stalk me now. What have I done!? Nooooooooooo!
A/N. Hope you liked the chapter. In it I showed Thomas's ace monster, and how pathetic Shingo is. I also included a little shipping moment at the end so people can pair my fictional characters with a large corporation's fictional characters. Not sure how I'll handle shipping later on, but you can request some ships if you want.
In response to Guest's review, I'm glad you think this story is amaxing, and thanks for the helpful links.
I finished this chapter earlier than I expected, so I decided to upload it. Yay!
See you next chapter!
