Danny had been taken to Sam. The place was covered with all different kinds of plants and flowers, next to a flowing waterfall, which was ironic to Danny since he knew Sam was a huge environmentalist and ultra-recyclo vegetarian.

"Of all the islands you could've come to….it had to be this one!" Sam ranted, still mad at Danny.

"Um…Sam I just want you to know that I'm really sorry for what happened." Danny tried.

"Sorry doesn't cut it ghost boy! First you propose to me, the minute you graduate from college and then just a month later, you call off the engagement just to go sailing off without so much as a phone call or even a letter!" Sam yelled at him as she stood up and stomped around in anger.

"I….I had to Sam. I was called to duty and I didn't know how long I was going to be away for." Danny said, trying to explain his actions. "I didn't want you to be alone and I thought you deserved better than someone who would be away most of the time."

"You could've spoken to me about this! I would've listened and we could've worked something out." Sam said, sadness could be heard in her voice. "I know I'm a Goth but that doesn't mean I don't have feelings Danny. Do you know how much it hurt when you left? It wouldn't have mattered how long you would've had to leave for. I…I loved you and…..I don't know….I think I still do and that just makes this whole thing worse!"

Danny looked down in guilt and said, "Sam….I….I still love you as well. Nothing has changed that and it seems that fate has bought us together again. Well actually pirates and buried treasure bought us together but…."

Sam cut him off and snapped in annoyance, "Oh don't get me started about pirates! After you left, I was captured by this pirate named Pariah Dark and forced to work on his ship."

Danny was in shock and asked, "You knew Captain Pariah Dark?"

"Well….I was feeling rebellious and angry and Pariah Dark thought that could've been useful, but after he buried the treasure on this island, he marooned me!" Sam answered. "He left me here to die! If it hadn't been for this tribe, I would've even thanks to my survival skills."

Danny was now feeling even guiltier and immediately began apologising, "This….this is all my fault. What have I done to you? I'm so sorry Sam. I really am."

They suddenly heard the sound of teasing and laughing. They turned to see Skulker and the pirates standing before them. Danny changed into his ghost form and stood in front of Sam in defence.

"What a touching reunion Sam." Skulker said with a grin at Sam as he came closer. "This seems to be your day for getting in touch with old acquaintances."

"Hello Skulker. It's certainly been a while." Sam said with a glare of her own. "Two years to be exact."

"You know each other?" Danny asked.

"Yes / no." Skulker and Sam answered at the same time.

They then both said, "No / Yes."

And then said, "Sort of."

"Okay…He was part of Pariah Dark's crew. He's sort of the reason I was captured and forced to work on that ship in the first place." Sam admitted.

"What did you do?" Danny asked.

"I released all of the animals he captured for dinner, he got mad and before I could escape he captured me and took me to Pariah Dark." Sam answered.

Skulker had heard enough and aimed his blaster at the two of them and demanded Sam, "Sam, where is the treasure?"

Sam glanced at the top of the hills and saw Undergrowth and the tribe had gathered around and were prepared to fight against Skulker and the pirates to protect her. She smirked and said, "I'm not in the mood to tell you Skulker."

Skulker chuckled and sneered, "Don't play games with me girly. I'm not a patient ghost."

A flaming arrow was shot just near his feet and they all turned to see the Undergrowth and the tribe looking down at them.

"GIVE UP NOW PIRATES! OR DIE BY THE FURY OF UNDERGROWTH AND THE TRIBE!" Undergrowth roared.

Skulker groaned in annoyance and merely fired one of his blasters at Undergrowth, shooting off his arm and causing the whole tribe to be silent. Undergrowth looked at his now missing limb and saw he was only slowly regenerating.

"Uh….we see that you have powerful weapons so….BYE!" Undergrowth shouted in fear and all of them ran away in fear.

Sam groaned in annoyance, "Oh brother!"

Skulker aimed his blaster at Sam once more and demanded, "Now Sam, where is the treasure?!"

"There is no treasure! It's nothing but a big lie." Sam lied.

Skulker noticed her necklace and asked suspiciously, "Then where did you get that necklace? The one that if I remember correctly, Pariah Dark stole from the Kingdom of Aragon in the Ghost Zone?"

Sam now looked really nervous and said sarcastically, "Um….Facebook Marketplace?"

Skulker glared and then began to laugh. All of the other pirates began to laugh at the joke, knowing she was lying. Skulker then looked at Danny and knew there was only one way to get Sam to confess about the location of the treasure.

He grabbed Danny and began to shock him hard with the same device he used on Danielle, cancelling out his powers this time for an hour and a half.

Sam shouted as some of the pirates grabbed her, afraid for Danny's life, "NO!"

Meanwhile at the ship, the remaining crew were relaxing on the deck waiting for Skulker to return with the treasure. Unaware that Dani, Valerie, Jazz and Tucker had snuck in the bottom deck through the cannon openings.

She tapped on Ghostwriter's shoulder and gestured for him to be quiet. Damian was overjoyed to see that Valerie was alive and they were being rescued. They then came up with a plan to get rid of the other pirates.

Dani peaked at the top deck to see the pirates just lounging around, relaxing and doing nothing. She came back down below as Damian whispered, "We're ready Dani."

"Do you two think this will work?" Dani asked.

"Absolutely. No matter human or ghost, pirates a very superstitious." Technus answered, positive about their plan.

Valerie then rose to the deck, completely covered in white powder and wearing bits of seaweed as she spoke in an ominous voice, "Beware! Beware! I am the demon of Valerie Gray, here to get my vengeance on all pirates!"

All of the pirates were now looking at her in fear and then she turned and shouted, "BEWARE!"

All of the pirates immediately jumped over board or flew off, trying to get away as fast as they could from Valerie, not wanting to be destroyed. Once it was clear, Dani felt her powers return and phased the powder and seaweed off Valerie.

Damian handed his daughter the wristbands for her battle suit and then Jazz asked Dani, "What's next Dani?"

They all looked to her. Valerie then said, "Until we save Danny, you're the captain. So….what are your orders?"

Dani then ordered, "Weigh anchor! Set the sails and Ghostwriter, take the helm! We need to find Danny and stop the pirates."

"You heard the captain! Let's get moving!" Valerie said and they all left to do their jobs.

The pirates had taken Sam and Danny to a cliff and now had Danny hanging by his feet with rope tied to a tree over the edge. Skulker had his blade ready to cut the rope and send Danny to die in the deep water below.

"Let him go Skulker! You're fight is with me, not him!" Sam demanded as she struggled in Freakshow's arms.

"Sam, don't tell him anything! It doesn't matter what happens to me! He'll only kill you too!" Danny said, trying to protect Sam even when he was close to death.

"I will only ask you one more time Sam. Where is the treasure?!" Skulker demanded.

Sam looked between Skulker and Danny. Skulker roared and raised his blade to cut the rope, but Sam screamed, "STOP!"

He paused and allowed her to speak. She sighed and finally admitted, "The treasure is at my place. If you walk down the North Trail, not far from here there's a hut and its there. Now let Danny go right now!"

Skulker and the other pirates merely laughed at her. Skulker then said, "Now, I don't recall us making such a bargain."

A few minutes later, Sam found herself now hanging beside Danny. A fire pit sat under the middle of their ropes, slowly burning away the rope that would soon snap and send them both drowning in the ocean below.

"You know, I'm really starting to hate pirates." Sam said.

"Well, the past is behind us and the future….below us." Danny said, knowing soon that they would probably fall to their watery deaths.

Tears of sadness began to fall from Sam's eyes, her fear of death showing. She kept shaking her head and whispered, "Danny….I don't want to die. I'm so scared."

"Sam….I'm scared too. But, we're together again and despite everything, we have each other." Danny said, trying to comfort her. "And I'm really sorry for what I did. No matter what happens, please know that I love you with all of my being."

More tears fell from Sam's eyes and she said, "I love you too Danny. I never have stopped loving you."

DANNY

Was I dumb? Or was I blind?

Or did my heart, just lose its mind?

Why'd I go and throw our perfect dream away?

Sam smiled warmly at him and could truly see he regretted leaving her and now, there was no place she'd rather be than by his side. He reached over and wiped her tears away.

Looking back, I'd never known

But destiny could see we deserve, to have another day

Meanwhile, Skulker and his crew followed Sam's directions to the hut and when they opened the door, the found the entire place filled with Pariah Dark's treasure and began to cheer as they ran inside to celebrate their victory.

We followed a star and here we are

Now heaven seems so near

Love led us here

Sam's rope began to break a bit more, as the fire continued to burn at it. The two lovers however continued to enjoy their last few moments together.

Now I know that life can take you by surprise

And sweep you off your feet

The pirates continued to throw treasure in the air and catch in their hands. Most began to start packing it in bags and chests, ready to take back to the ship and Skulker continued to laugh and cheer as he danced with the crew, feeling joyful about finally claiming what was rightfully theirs.

Sam's rope was now hanging by a thread and Danny's was beginning to fray a bit more. He then reached out his hand to Sam, and she held accepted it, holding tight and not wanting to let go again. He gave her a sad, warm smile which she returned, for they could feel the end may be near, but they weren't going to let each other go.

Sam screamed as her rope snap and she began to fall, but Danny acted quickly and grabbed her legs with his hands and held on tight. She stopped screaming and panted, now feeling more afraid.

"Danny….what are we going to do?" Sam asked, still shaking from almost falling.

"I don't know Sam…but no matter what…I won't let you go!" Danny said, struggling to keep hold of Sam but was determined to not let her go no matter what.

"Dani, if you, Jazz and Tucker found any way to escape, now would be a good time to help us!" Danny screamed in his mind.
