Episode 57: Trouble In Paradise

CHAPTER 1: DOUBLE BLASTS FROM THE PAST

Cobra and Dominick were walking hand in hand through the school hallways. Dominick was escorting Cobra to her first hour class. They have been a tight couple for quite some time and everyone had been very supportive of them. The two of them were in a very good place. As Dominick walked Cobra to her class, he thought about how long they had been together so far since they first started dating.

"You know, Sylvia," he began, "I was thinking about how lucky I am to have a wonderful girl like you as a girlfriend."

"Aw, you mean that, Dom?" asked a happy Cobra.

"Absolutely. Even though I have dated other girls before you, you're special to me."

"Thank you, darling." Cobra kissed Dominick on the cheek. "Well I better head in. I'll see you at lunch, babe." And she kissed him again and headed in to her first hour class. Dominick headed for his first period class, which was Social Studies. As he sat down at his desk, he noticed a new girl seated at a desk a few spots in front of him. He gasped.

"It couldn't be her!" he thought to himself. "There's no way it's her!" She never turned around to look back, so he kept quiet for the moment. Linus, who was in the class with Dominick, sat down next to him.

"Hey, Dom," he greeted. "Who's the new girl?"

"I think I know her, Linus," Dominick replied. "It looks like one of my ex's. Her name was Mallory. Mallory Simpson. Things did not end well for us."

"What do you mean?"

"Well, when we broke up, it was because she was cheating on me with my best friend at the time. Our friendship ended and I broke up with her. She saw that she made a mistake and even though I accepted her apology, I made it clear that even though I forgave her, we would never be back together."

"Wow! You think she's still hung up on you?"

"I don't think, Linus, I know!" As the teacher came in, he let the new girl introduce herself.

"Hello everyone," she greeted. "My name is Mallory Simpson. I came from nearby Leeville and now residing here in Sparkyville. I had went to school with one of your classmates in here." She looked directly at Dominick and smiled at him. He sighed deeply.

"Of all the middle schools in Sparkyville, she HAD to come to this one!" he thought to himself.

"In addition to reconnecting with this particular student, I hope to make new friends here," Mallory finished. Then she took her seat and the lesson began.

"Maybe she'll find someone else, Dom," Linus whispered to Dominick.

"Sure," said Dominick. "And maybe the Detroit Lions will win a Super Bowl for once!"

A little while later at the Brown household, Charlie Brown and Frieda were studying together. Sally and Michael were also doing homework. Sally had improved in her studies that she didn't need Linus tutoring her as much as he used to, though he still worked with her every other day.

"Good grief, Frieda," sighed Charlie Brown. "We're not even in the middle of the first semester and already we have a big exam coming up in English."

"I'm sure you'll do good, sweetie," assured Frieda. They continued to study when they heard the doorbell ring.

"Sally, is Linus tutoring you today?" asked Charlie Brown.

"No, it's Friday," said Sally. "He tutored me yesterday."

"Who could be here right now?" wondered Charlie Brown, as he went to answer the door. When he opened it, he was surprised by who was there.

"Heather?!" he gasped.

"Hi, Charlie Brown!" she greeted.

"Frieda, Sally, look who's here!"

"Oh my gosh!" said a happy Frieda. "What are you doing here, Heather?!"

After sharing hugs, Heather said, "I'm here visiting my grandmother for the weekend. I figured I'd say hello to old friends and catch up."

"Well it's good to see you, Heather," said Charlie Brown. "The gang will be happy to see you, as well!" And Heather chatted for a bit before heading back to her grandmother's house.
