Soo, I might have binge watched Beastars today and I can say without a doubt, that I've never wanted to binge watch an anime harder than this one! There are just so many things that did it for me in this anime, so I must write a fanfiction right away, about what might become or already be one of my favourite ships! So, let's get into this!
It was just another normal day at Cherryton Highschool. The current lesson had just been suspended and Legoshi grabbed his lunch pack that he kept stuffed inside his backpack. There were many things running through the grey wolfs mind, as he took careful bites of his egg sandwich. It was as good, as on every Wednesday and yes, he was still more than just convinced that it tasted so much better on Wednesdays! He could see Legom from the corner of his eye, as she was carefully observing, how he slowly devoured it in front of her. This had kinda made him uncomfortable, thinking it might not be the best idea, to eat eggs in front of a chicken. Obviously, he had no idea that those were hers and that she was more than just proud of her products.
So, he just stood up and left, apologizing to the now confused very hen. He had joined the Drama Club not too long ago and was invited by Louis himself. They said that no one joined the Drama Club on their own, they were always sought out by Louis. He only chose those who he deemed to have something special, some abilities that were unique to them, something that had happened to them in the past and made them grow up to be unlike any other. Someone who just felt very interesting and intriguing to him. What the criteria for being chosen was, was unknown to all except for the red deer of course so there was no real way too get higher chances of joining, it was all up to him and if he felt like you should join it.
So, when the deer had approached Legoshi one day after lunch, there was no way the wolf would be able to just decline the offer while also looking into the merciless and unforgiving eyes of the probably most popular student of Cherryton High School. To make the situation even worse, he was surrounded by about every student of the academy, so this would not only be disrespectful, but it would also mean he would go from being unnoticed to being the biggest loser of the school probably. Now there were multiple things running through Legoshi's mind, as he was walking through the schools crowded hallways, thinking back to this moment and how Louis or why he even found him. However, his train of thought was interrupted, as he was blinded by the sun that was shining down onto him, through the big windows on his left side. His fur needed to be trimmed again, or he'd have to suffer all summer long, from the heat and he didn't want to go through that again in all honesty.
His ears were twitching as he was capturing all sorts of sounds all around him, from the distinctive laughter of Jack to Junos giggling in the distance. His nose was capturing all sorts of scents from the different food everyone brought and his mind was racing through all sorts of different thoughts that some would deem irrelevant, but there were no such things as irrelevant things to think about to him. His eyes were staring into a blank spot as there were too many things for him to focus and after attempting several times at some point, he just gave in.
He dropped his lunchbox, making some of his food fall out to cover his ears. He closed his eyes on impulse to try and push all these intrusive thoughts out. There was just so much going on all around here and he wanted to go to a more calm place, but as he was about to pick back up his food, he realized that it was all squashed and trampled by those who didn't see it. He lowered his ears and his tail, picked up his now empty lunchbox and tried to find a more silent place as the figures all around him kept on walking by without hesitation.
This was his favourite food and for it to just be wasted like that, it was heart-breaking. So, when he finally found a calm place at the fresh air, he sat down with his chin resting on his hands. He had to wait an entire week to eat the secret delicacy again! A full week! At least the sky seemed clear above him, only a few clouds in sight, but the heat was honestly killing him, he was in fact so distracted by the sun burning down on him, that he didn't notice the Red deer closing the space between them, until he spoke up, making Legoshi yelp.
"Pfft, a wolf that gets scared by a deer, never seen that one."
Legoshi wanted to say something but stopped himself, realizing it would be useless, so instead he just turned to face the other as he felt his cheeks gaining a slight pink tone from blushing. The deer didn't need an invitation, so he just lifted himself up to sit next to Legoshi, their hands barely a couple of inches apart. The grey wolf wanted to give him more space and put his hand away carefully when he felt his wrist being in yanked back forcefully to end up under the deer's control.
Slowly he gained the courage to finally look Louis in the eyes just to find that same glare he gave everyone else here, making it very clear that he was not going to be intimidated by anyone and did what he wanted when he wanted to do it. However, he did not want to give in too quickly and instead waited for the deer to say something or do something.
"Haven't I already told you that it's rude to stare at people?"
He said it with a very collected and poised tone that sounded a lot less aggressive to what Legoshi had experienced so far so this was quite the surprise and Legoshi did as he was told and went back to looking down onto his dangling feet with lowered ears. He didn't even try to hide his emotions from others.
He heard some rustling next to him and raised his ears, curious to see what Louis would pull out of his bag. It was most likely going to be his own meal he thought to himself as he felt his stomach growl. He tried to keep the sound as silent as possible and covered his stomach with his paws. Of course, this didn't go unnoticed and he received a somewhat annoyed sigh by the herbivore. Once again, his ears lowered, and he stopped swaying his feet back and forth.
What he didn't expect was Louis offering him a part of his lunch. He had to stare at it for a second before realizing what was going on, but when he did, he instantly started shaking his hands frantically to signify that he couldn't accept this gift.
"Just take it, I can see your tail wagging you know."
Legoshi looked back caught off guard by the other and tried to stop his tail but his true feelings had always been something he'd struggled to hide for him.
"No..no, really, I've already had lunch-"
"Don't take me for a fool, I saw your lunchbox drop earlier, I even got you the same food, id heard you talk about how much you like these with your friend once, so just take it and we call it a day, got it?"
Legoshi didn't know how to reply to this, there wasn't really anything he could do or say here so instead of trying to fight it he just gave in and looked up to him with something that could resemble a smile plastered on his lips. This was the first of many times that he would see the red deer smile and laugh. On some occasions it would be Louis giving him some of his food with Legoshi reluctantly accepting it and on some it would be Louis, being way too ashamed of admitting that he'd forgotten his lunch box at home and feeling defeated to accept the wolfs lunch offer. But one thing seemed to stay the same, they'd meet up here every day from now on and try to make each other's day better in the most stupid and awkward ways.
Hmm, this is some sort of attempt at writing a fanfiction soo yeah, I hope you like this and yeah, I wish you a great day!
