3 - ADRIAN

Now I know why my aunt was so adamant about me participating in Field Experience. I haven't given much thought to it earlier but now it's crystal clear.

Rose getting assigned to me instead of Lissa; I have to admit I am scared of what she'll do, once Alberta finishes. I better run.

Under normal circumstances, I'd be half asleep by now. Sadly, that's not an option, since I am already planning my escape route to get away from the fiery brunette who is sitting a few seats away from me. Mason is holding her hand in his. Ugh, spare me.

To this day, I can't comprehend why she would go out with him. I don't get it, but I'm sure I'll make her change her mind one day. I know he is slightly anxious he might lose her to me. Up until now, I have only been flirting with her on different occasions, but the more I've gotten to know her, the more I wanted to be in an actual relationship with her. Who would've thought? I, Adrian Ivashkov, want to be in a real relationship with a girl.

I watch her walk up to Alberta. Contrary to our beliefs, she decided not to make a scene. She is aware that there would be no use, even if she did. Alberta made that quite clear earlier.

"Are you alright," Mason decides to be the first one to talk to her.

"I am," she replies and seems to mean it. Wow. A smile begins to grow on my face.

Mason doesn't accept her answer just yet, but she is quick to reassure him. "I really am, but you know how he is..." she doesn't finish the sentence. Now, what's that supposed to mean? Should I take offence to that?

"I take that as a compliment," I interrupt them and wink at her. She rolls her eyes and turns to kiss Mason. That's just unnecessary people, can't you do that somewhere else? If I can't be the one to kiss her then at least don't do it right in front of me.

"Could you two please get a room and spare the rest of us?" Christian asks annoyed, destroying their moment in the process. Thank you! "I'm pretty sure, what you're doing counts as a public disturbance. We don't really appreciate getting to see you two make out all the time."

No, I don't. It frustrates me more and more each time I have to watch these two lovebirds. I feel like I'm slowly going insane, and my Spirit powers don't have anything to do with it. Not this time. Alcohol and cigarettes are still a tremendous help.

Rose, being her usual self, has a witty reply that leads to Christian glaring at her. "Yeah, will do, Chris." The thought sickens me. "May I remind you that I've seen you and Lissa do a lot more than just make out before? I am scarred for life, so what are you going to do about that, huh?"

Before Christian can give a sarcastic retort, Rose continues: "Things I really didn't need to see." She wiggles both her eyebrows suggestively. I didn't want to know that.

Being shadow-kissed, thus sharing a bond with Lissa, Rose gets sucked into Lissa's head when she feels strong emotions such as love or hatred. I imagine it's quite annoying I'd go as far as to say they look cute, but that'd be a lie.
