In the armoury, Jay, Cole and Gewuji look at the improvised ladder to the open skylight. "Nice." Jay said. "And those Vermillion Warriors never knew what we were doing." Karlof soon came up to them.
"Look at this bad boy." Gewuji said, preparing to touch it. "Solid."
"No, wait, ladder is not done!" Karlof yelled, but it was too late as Gewuji immediately touched it and the ladder comes apart, creating a big noise as it landed on the floor.
"Shit."
"So much for stealth." Cole said.
"Maybe they didn't hear it." Jay replied.
The doors soon burst open and the big Vermillion Warriors come in. "No." Gewuji said. "They did."
Regular Vermillion Warriors also came as Cole grabs a cane from one of the Royal Blacksmiths and Gewuji accepts a sword from Patrice. "Show time!" Cole said as they put their hoods on, weapons at the ready.
At a cliff in the Glacier Barrens, Krux, Acronix and Machia wait for the Time Blade to arrive, with Cryus shivering from the cold. "You said Borg's Temporal Scanner would pinpoint the exact time and location of the Blade's arrival." Krux said as Acronix looked at his BorgWatch.
A portal soon appeared in the sky. "Oh, it should be here in a...moment." Acronix replied as a red Time Blade lands between them and Machia and Cyrus, creating a shockwave, which freezes them.
In the swamp, Dragon was still asleep as the wheelchair was almost at the cliff. "Form a chain!" Lloyd yelled as the wheelchair soon came off and Maggie and Lloyd jump off with Blake holding Lloyd's legs. As he was about to grab Maggie's, the shockwave passes through them, freezing them all. After a few seconds, time immediately resumed with Lloyd immediately grabbing Maggie's legs and she grabs the handles of the wheelchair.
Back in the Glacier Barrens, Krux and Acronix turn to the Time Blade. "There we go." Acronix said as Krux went to pick it up. "The BorgWatch works perfectly."
Cyrus soon stammered. "Of course it did." He replied. "Everything I make works perfectly." He soon turned away. "Sometimes it's a curse. I really should've listened to my son about the temporal scanner."
"You see? Easiest one to obtain yet. Now will you admit that not all modern technology is bad?"
"Not until we find the final blade." Krux said. "A task for which that little trinket has been utterly useless." He starts to walk away as Acronix shook his head in disappointment.
"Mother always said he was stubborn."
Back in the armoury at the swamp, Jay, Cole and Gewuji are fighting off the Vermillion Warriors. "Did you feel that a moment ago?" Jay asked, knocking a warrior back before swinging his nunchucks back to make a warrior turn around before he kicks it.
"Yeah, it was weird." Gewuji replied, blocking a warrior's sword before forcing it back and slammed the flat part of her sword into it.
They keep on knocking every warrior back with Gewuji throwing her sword at the last warrior before they were all down. "It was like time stood still." Cole said as he dropped the cane while a giant warrior came at them before prepping his arms. "Well, they're not standing still." He soon activates his Earth Punch and slams it into the floor, knocking all the warriors down and opening the doors. "Now they're still." His arms immediately return to normal.
They look outside to see more warriors coming. "Uh oh!" Jay said.
"Tunnels, everyone." Gewuji said to the workers. "Now!" They start to guide the workers along the path as the warriors chase after them.
By the cliff, Maggie brings the wheelchair back and pants as Dragon was snoring. "Safe..." She said. "You're finally-" Blunck soon came up to Maggie and pushes her aside, making her roll to the cliff and rolls off.
"Maggie!" Lloyd yelled as he ran to her and grabbed her hand before she could fall down it and Raggmunk punches Blake, knocking him back, out of their sight.
"Gotcha!" He yelled before wheeling Dragon away as Blunck follows him.
Lloyd turned to see them leave. "Oh, come on!"
"Lloyd, less talking, more helping!" Maggie yelled. Lloyd soon turned back to Maggie as Blake gets up and runs after Blunck and Raggmunk.
Back in the blacksmith shop, Kai strangles Ray, who looks helplessly at him. "It ends here." He said. "Now!"
"Kai, you don't know what you're doing." Someone called out.
"I do, Nya. I absolutely-"
"I'm not your sister, son."
This gets Kai to let go of Ray, who coughs from being choked. "Mom?" He turns to see Maya, who smiles. "I-I-I don't believe it."
"That makes two of us." She soon turned to Nya. "Nya, my baby girl, how you've grown." She soon noticed her wedding ring. "And you got married."
Nya sighed. "I've-" She tried to speak as she removed her hood. "I-I missed you." She soon hugged her.
Kai soon took off his hood as Maya soon hugged him and saw his forehead scar. "Oh, my baby boy, how did that happen?"
"Why?" Kai asked, pushing her back. "She's just as guilty as he is. They've been helping Acronix and Krux for years! And tried to manipulate James into working for them! They're the enemy!"
"Is that what you think? We are not the enemy."
"Then how the hell do you explain this?" He shows them the helmet. "Dad's blacksmith stamp on every piece of Vermillion armour."
"They forced us to work for them." She heads over to Ray. "Part of their revenge."
"For what?"
"For creating the Time Blades." Ray said.
Over 40 Years Earlier
Krux and Acronix raise their staffs high as the Elemental Masters look on. "It goes back to when Acronix and Krux were Elemental Masters."
"I have an idea." Dragon said before turning to Ray and Maya. "And it requires your skills. Masters of Fire and Water, come." They soon take off.
In Ignacia, Ray works on a Time Blade before holding his hand out to it and blow fire at it. "We forged four Time Blades from ChronoSteel to absorb the powers of the Hands of Time." He raises the hot weapon high for Maya to use her water power to cool it off. "ChronoSteel is incredibly strong." Sometime later, Ray and Maya, physically tired, put the Time Blades onto the table. "We were physically and mentally drained." Maya sighed as she placed the last one on as Dragon came up to them.
"Thank you. Oni and I will deal with Krux and Acronix." He takes the Time Blades and puts them in the sack. As he leaves, Ray and Maya soon faint.
Several minutes later, at the monastery, Oni and Dragon, who is sporting the shoulder wound, force Krux and Acronix to their backs. "The Time Blades stripped Krux and Acronix of their powers." A few seconds later, Oni and Dragon absorb the defenceless Time Twins' Elemental Powers. "Then Dragon and Oni created a temporal vortex to lose the blades forever." Several seconds later, Oni and Dragon throw the Time Blades into the portal. "When Krux and Acronix foolishly went after the blades, it appeared they too would be lost to time." Krux and Acronix knock down the Elemental Masters that were restraining them before heading into the portal. "Later we learned that just before Acronix disappeared, there was a sign that foretold the exact time of his return." Dragon and Oni look at the portal to see the blimp from the future. "Over 40 years in the future. Dragon saw it."
"So that must be how Master Wu knew when Acronix was going to return to the monastery." Kai said.
Present
Kai and Nya were listening to Ray's story while Maya was bandaging Kai's leg wound. "He saw the blimp."
"And so did Krux." Maya said.
Over 40 Years Earlier
In a forest, Krux suddenly lands on the ground. "What Dragon did not know was that not only did Krux see the blimp, but he wasn't sent forward with his brother." Ray said. Krux immediately takes off, unaware that a yellow Time Blade immediately landed behind him.
Later on, in the secret room at the museum, Krux, clean shaven and hair cut short and groomed, straightens himself before he puts on the fake long moustache, which was black, and the glasses. "Now he knew he had decades to plan. He assumed a false identity and decided to use eggs from the Great Devourer to create a great legion of warriors." Krux, now as Dr. Sander Saunders, circles around a table with a breeding tank big enough for only one Vermillion egg before placing something in a bottle to feed through a funnel. "His warriors would need armour, weapons, vehicles... and he knew just who could design them."
20 Years Later
In Ignacia, outside the blacksmith shop, Ray, Maya and Sander chuckle as they have tea. "Pretending to be the kindly Dr. Sander Saunders, Krux took his time and earned our trust. We thought he was our friend."
"Until Saunders betrayed us." Sander immediately knocked the teapot, tray and their cups away and removed his glasses and fake moustache, showing his true face. "Told us he had a plan for his brother's eventual return." He grabs a nearby wakizashi and holds it out to them. "He forced us to work for him, or else..."
"Or else what?" Kai asked.
Ray and Maya immediately move along as Krux had the sword at Ray's back. "Or else he would go after you... even James." Maya replied. Close by, a young Kai and Nya look at a butterfly fly between them as Nya giggled. Maya tries to go for them, but Krux soon held his sword out to Maya. "It was his ultimate revenge." Ray soon held Maya as they keep going and Kai and Nya see the butterfly flies away, unaware that they thought it was the last time they see their parents.
"Luckily, I had sent James on an errand to grab some new forging equipment from a neighbouring village." Ray said. By the village entrance, a young James, carrying some metal, mallets and handles, comes across Ray, Maya and Krux. As James was about to go at Krux, he immediately held his sword out at him. "James never trusted Saunders at all, who just showed up out of the blue. I thought he was just being rude, until it was too late." James slowly moved aside for Krux to keep moving Ray and Maya. "I knew from then on, he would teach you two what he learnt from me." James turns to the oblivious kids.
Present
"Okay, but that still doesn't explain the stamp." Kai said as Maya had just finished bandaging his wound.
"It was a message." Ray replied before showing him his stamp with his symbol. "I stamped all my work, hoping one day someone would figure out where we were." Kai takes it to look at it. "So that together we could stop Krux and Acronix's plan."
"What is their plan?" Nya asked.
Ray sighed. "To control all of time." Kai and Nya look at each other in concern.
Outside, Machia's ship lands in the swamp before Krux, Acronix and Machia leave it before Machia sees some tracks on the ground and follows them while a warrior wheels Cyrus off the ship.
On the path, Geoff was doing some squats before Zane suddenly stands up. "What is it, Zane?" He asked as he stopped.
"I've got a read on Borg again." He replied before they immediately take off.
