The moment they entered the cave, it was pitch black as they surfaced. "Phew." Nya said as she was surfacing. "I didn't know how much longer I could hold my breath. Ugh. I can't see a thing."
"The Master of Fire is on it." Kai replied. The room was soon lit up by Kai's fire ignited hand as they were getting out of the water, completely wet before continuing on while Kai puts the Dragon Blade behind his back. "Nice, huh?" He chuckles. "Sometimes I don't know what we'd do without me." He suddenly almost falls over the edge, flailing his arms about as the fire in his hand extinguished before Nya grabbed hold of him and pulled him back. "Who knew you could be this high up under the sea?" They look down to see the bottom, surrounded by magma that was lighting up the whole cave. "That little dot down there must be the Lost Library of Honomizu. Any idea how to reach it without breaking our necks?"
"Well, we could ask our dad. Oh no, wait, you were too impatient for that. Hang on, I have an idea." She heads over to a nearby path. "We slide down this."
Kai looked on before turning to her. "What? We'd be torn to shreds."
"Which is where my power comes in." She grabs hold of Kai and fires a flow of water from her free hand below their feet and slide down the path, protected by the water. "Sometimes I don't know what you'd do without me." She laughs as they kept sliding down the path before they both start laughing from sliding down the path, like being on a waterslide. "Jay and I should waterslide on our honeymoon!"
At the Dome in the swamp, Jay, Zane, Cole, Lloyd, Geoff, Gewuji and Maggie, all wearing Vermillion armour, enter it and look around. "Well, that was easy." Geoff said.
"Yeah, too easy." Jay replied.
A rock was soon thrown at Gewuji, knocking her down. "Ow!" She yelled as she fell and they look to see Blake, who is wearing glasses for some reason, and Cyrus charging at them, holding canes.
"Unto the breach!" Cyrus yelled. "Freedom!" Cyrus pushes between Lloyd and Zane while Blake grabbed hold of Geoff and pushed him into a wall.
"Stop!" Zane yelled. "They're not Vermillion."
"We know snakes when we see one." Blake replied before pushing Geoff back again, knocking his helmet off, showing his face. "Geoff?"
"Ninja!" Cyrus said as he was holding his cane at Lloyd before he removed his helmet. "You've come to rescue us!"
"A decision I think Jay is starting to regret." Gewuji replied, getting up and showing a black eye from the rock thrown at her.
"Oh, I'm sorry, Geoff, Lloyd. I didn't know that was her."
"Forget it." Geoff said as he put his helmet back on and Lloyd looked at Gewuji's black eye. "Now come on, let's get you out of here before we're discovered."
"Blake, why are you wearing glasses?" Jay asked.
"Well..." Blake started to explain.
Several Minutes Earlier
The warriors push Blake, with a Vengestone bracelet on his ankle, into the room before hearing something rattle. "My contacts!" Blake yelled. "You knocked them out!" He kneels down to start looking for them. "What a bad time to lose them." One of the warriors releases a couple of snakes, which move to one spot, grab something and move up to him. "Oh, thank you." Blake holds his hand out to take them, but the snakes swallow them. "Argh!" He bangs the floor in frustration before slowly getting up. "Crap, now I can't see without them!"
Present
"Thank the First Spinjitzu Master, that dad had a spare pair on his person. They even carelessly left a pin, which I used as a lock pick to get the Vengestone off of me."
"By the way, Borg, why exactly did Krux and Acronix kidnap you anyway?" Jay asked.
"Duh." Cole replied. "Pay attention, Jay. We know why. They grabbed every builder in Ninjago to outfit their army."
"Not dad." Blake said as he took the cane from his father and sheathed them both behind his back as he wheeled over to a nearby shaded window and the others follow him.
"I was forced to create something far more sinister." Cyrus said before he pulled on a lever, opening the shade, showing some Vermillion Warriors, a built walkway and a giant metal mech.
"What is that thing!" Gewuji asked.
"I've heard them call it the Iron Doom." He quickly shuts the shade. "Krux and Acronix's ultimate weapon."
"And you designed it?" Zane asked.
"No, a blacksmith did." He opens the shade again. "I'm afraid that I am responsible for that." He points to the centre of the Iron Doom, showing the Apparatus. "It's a-"
"A nano fused, neo atomic power source, which..." They quickly duck down as a warrior passes by the window. "...according to my calculations, creates an energy displacement sufficient to allow for- Oh, oh, dear, temporal voyage." Cyrus immediately closed the shade again.
"'Temporal voyage'?" Maggie asked.
"Time travel." Jay replied. "'Temporal' means 'time'. Duh. Pay attention, Maggie."
"It harnesses the power of the Time Blades." Cyrus said.
"If Krux and Acronix get all four, they will be able to take all these Vermillion Warriors anywhere in time." Blake said.
In the Honomizu cave, Kai and Nya keep sliding down as Nya still had her Water power protecting them before they slide off and land on their feet. As they start moving along and came across some giant rocks, glowing from lava, Nya looked at the slide. "As deadly obstacles go, that was pretty fun." She said. "I'm starting to think Mom overstated the danger."
Kai scoffed. "You know how moms can get." He replied.
"No, I never knew one, because..."
"Because ours got kidnapped when you were only three. Right. Sorry. Uh. My point was, moms like to worry about everything. But this is nothing." He points to the rocks. "All that's left is a climb over some boulders and-" The rocks suddenly rise up, revealing to be rock monsters, causing them to back away. "Hang on. Those aren't boulders. Those are..." They roar at the two siblings as Kai tried to remember what his mother said. "What'd mom call them?"
"Geotomic Rock Monsters!"
"She understated the danger!" They roar at the two before they jump out of the way as one breathes out lava.
Back in the Dome, Jay, Zane, Cole, Lloyd, Geoff, Gewuji, Blake and Cyrus were still where the Iron Doom was. "Krux and Acronix are gonna travel back in time in that thing?" Jay asked.
"We gotta stop it!" Gewuji replied before turning to Cyrus. "How do we stop it?"
"During assembly, I programmed in a secret hack door self destruct code." Cyrus said. "But they watched me like a hawk as I built it, so I never got a chance to enter the code."
"Then we'll just have to sneak down and type in the code ourselves." Lloyd replied.
"Sneak into Vermillion Warrior Central?" Jay asked. "Are you nuts, Lloyd?"
"You guys have a better plan? One that doesn't allow Krux and Acronix to time travel off to who knows when to do who knows what?"
"Uh... We do not." Geoff said.
"We just need the code."
"Ah yes, of course." Cyrus said before scratching his head. "It's, um... Oh, damn, I don't remember."
"What?" Jay asked.
"You're not getting soft in your old age, are you, dad?" Blake asked.
"I know it's a long sequence, so I committed to the deep recesses of my brain." Cyrus replied. "Eh, perhaps if I see the panel it would jar the numbers to the front of my brain?"
"Looks like you're coming with us." Maggie said as they soon move along with Blake pushing his father's wheelchair.
"Going somewhere?" Blunck was heard, causing them all to turn and see him with Raggmunk and some Vermillion Warriors.
