Our hero's burst into the building at the top of the stairs. Luckily for them, it was vaguely empty as they were still setting up for Petra. 5 wary sets of eyes scanned the room, but found nothing worth looking for.
"Ugh, where'd she go?"
Ivor had turned, and beckoned to the others in a hushed voice,"There, through that door"
They managed to avoid drawing any attention as they made their way for the door. The only thing stopping them being Soren's very relevant comment.
"Uh, friends? What do we do once we're down there? There's many ways we could do this."
Cutting off Magnus's retort that they were not, in fact, friends, Ivor gave Soren a determined look,"Whatever we have too."
Soren blushed a little," Wow, you're more hardcore than I thought."
Ivor returned the blush,"Oh, uh, thank you."
Onscreen Gabe chuckled at a quiet comment from Ellegaard about the fickle nature of his "hardcore energy."
Rolling his eyes at his friends, Ivor turned and pushed open the wooden door. He took a deep breath, and descended into the basement.
"You guys think Soren will get trapped down there like I did? Like with the Golem and everything?"
"I'm sorry excuse me but what?" Soren gave Lukas the face most associated with a tone of disbelief accompanying the words.
"Oh yah," Jesse leaned back a little," Ivor's cuckoo cachoo Golem in the basement chased us all out but Lukas hid in a chest because he didn't want to die and got separated from us."
"I am in no way, shape, or form looking forward to this."
"Somehow," Ivor chuckled," I am."
Ivor was then smacked with a throw pillow.
Reaching the bottom of the stairs, the 5 peaked around a corner to find a small library of sorts.
"Wow. My library looks really similar to yours Ivor." Jesse commented, recognizing the library.
"Well, the actual library portion was already there. After putting my stuff down and making a few modifications I made it my own, but for the most part, I'm not surprised at the similarity. It is the same room after all."
"You guys see anything?"
"No," Gabriel stepped out,"She must've gone another way."
"What is all this?" Ellegaard questioned, following Gabriel into the library.
"As far as I know, I'm pretty sure this used to be the basement." Ivor caught sight of all the cobwebs on the bookshelves and wall corners," Weird place to have a hide out."
"How much you guys want to bet I find my egg down here?"
"If you stop saying it's YOUR egg, like you laid it. Then 24 dirt blocks."
"Magnus, those have literally no value."
"Neither do you."
"By notch, I will literally tell my mom."
"Oh please don't I'm dead serious-"
"Guys! Focus."
"Sorry Ellie."
The boys wandered further into the library. Magnus muttering something about how mom wouldn't let him have dessert next time he comes over if Gabe told on him. Ellegaard rolled her eyes and smiled a bit. Her boys were goofballs sometimes.
Ivor took his steps down into the library and muttered to Ruby, who was tucked in his arms, "The faster we find what we're looking for, the fast we can get the heck out of here."
Because despite this place technically being his in another world, he didn't like this place at all. Not one bit. He normally liked dark and damp places, but he liked clean dark and damp places. This place just gave him an anxious feeling.
Soren, overhearing, patted the slightly taller boy on the shoulder," Don't worry, Ivor. Gabriel has always been the best and quickest adventurer I've known. He'll find the egg in no time, with our help of course."
Ivor gave him a small smile,"Thank you, Soren."
"No problem, my friend. Now let's get looking!" With a pat on the back, the fiery haired boy was off.
Ivor tucked ruby into his sweater, not wanting to let her wander around in a place with so many potions and who knows what else. He inspected book cases and chests until he found his way over to Gabriel, who was rummaging around in another chest.
"Man," He heard the boy mutter," She's only got gold in here? Gold sucks."
"Hey Gabe."
Gabriel, startled, hit his head on the chest lid,"Notch! Have you always walked so darn quiet?"
Ivor chuckled," Nah, just removed my ability to retain gravity just for you."
"Yah yah," Gabe shook his head with a small smile,"Very funny."
"You do walk very lightly, Ivor." Gabriel shot a joking smile at the man.
"Yes, yes, I know. You all had to have a talk with me about it because I kept scaring everyone after I walked into a room."
"What'd'ya got there?"
"A gold sword. It's shotty and soft."
"Flashy though."
"True. She probably doesn't do much fighting. Or at least, she doesn't keep her weapons laying around here. Probably a good thing considering it's so easy to get in and snoop around."
"Are you saying we're snooping?"
"Ivor that's exactly what we're doing. Snooping and searching."
"Oh yah, fair."
Tilting his head, Gabe asked, "You've still got your sword on you, right?"
"Yah, had to wave it at some nut job trying to pry the lapis off of Ruby."
Gabe growled,"Should've hit him. He deserved it for terrorizing a baby."
"I know! He terrorized and robbed my baby cat!"
Ruby let out a Meow that meant "I'm of prime age for a cat! I am not baby you fiends!" but no one understood and even if they did, she is still baby to them.
Gabe shook his head and put the sword in his infinite minecraft storage.
"You're gonna keep it? You literally just verbally abused it for a good 2 minutes."
"I can melt it into some Jewelry for my Mom."
"Aww, that'll be nice. Tell her I say hello when you see her next."
"I will."
"Your mom is awesome, Gabe."
Gabe laughed,"She is, she is. She practically adopted all of you when I introduced you."
"She always invited us to dinner." Ellie chuckled
"How is your mom, Gabriel?" Ivor turned his head and shifted so he could see Gabriel.
"Oh she's great. 94 and can still chuck a shoe halfway across the house."
"I freakin love your mom."
Ivor wandered deeper into the Library until he reached the very back. He was about to scold Magnus for trying to climb on the counter to reach the potions on the shelf like the gremlin he is, when a glow caught his eye.
"Woah."
Magnus, upon hearing his friend, jumped down from the counter and scurried over.
"Dude, you're so not gonna believe me, but I think I had a dream about this."
"You're right Magnus, I so do not believe you." Ivor deadpanned, turning his head away from the potion to the smaller boy.
"I'm gonna take it."
"Ah ah ah ah ah. If anybody takes it, it will be me. But also don't touch it. I don't want you turning into a frog or something."
Magnus scoffed," The lady isn't a witch Ivor," Mangus paused,"Ok maybe she's a witch but that doesn't mean this will have negative effects of any kind."
Ivor just rubbed his temples, which Magus took as a sign of his own victory and pocketed the potion. He replaced the bottle with another he had most likely found in one of the cabinets.
"Ah yes, the perfect crime." Ivor rolled his eyes and walked away from his thieving friend
"Well, now they're all screwed but I suppose I was dumber when I was younger." Ivor slumped back a little.
"Weren't we all?"
"Jesse shut up, you're like, 5."
"I'm 18!"
"Sure. Child."
Onscreen Ivor, upon seeing Ellie poking and prodding at the bookshelf that wasn't particularly big, but taller than the others, wondered why she hadn't tried pulling the lever that was close to it. Which also happened to be the lever he pulled right that moment with the energy of "wow I wonder what this one does!"
Luckily, the lever didn't do anything lethal because this is a kids game. Instead, the bookcase started to rise, revealing a scene similar to frankenstein. A metal table surrounded by redstone equipment that seemed to be attached to the table and a strange block on the top that none of them could identify. No one on screen anyways.
In the Audience, there was a thick wave of fear. While they didn't recognize any of the equipment, they all knew what it could do, and they all knew why it was there. Axel put his arm around Olivia, who had started breathing heavier and quicker. Lukas just looked scared, while Petra turned pale immediately after seeing the block. Jesse couldn't top shaking. It was her fault both times around now, wasn't it?
"What the heck is all of this?"
Gabriel looked confused and slightly scared,"I don't know. Let's just grab the egg and get out of here."
They all looked forward at the egg that was at the opposite side of the table from the command block, right in the middle of 2 wither skulls."
"Yah," Ellie gulped,"Grab it and let's go."
Gabriel stepped forward, but a smaller hand stopped him.
"What if she's trying to recreate the ender dragon?"
Everyone froze.
"But why would she do that?"
"The Ender Dragon was a horrible monster. But with only one head"
"Yah, The order of the stone killed it in search of a way to defeat the Wither Storm."
Everyone nodded at Magnus. They all knew the story of how Lukas The Architect, Axel the Rouge, Olivia the Engineer, and Petra the warrior defeated the Ender Dragon in search of a way to defeat the Wither Storm. Ultimately using the experience they received from the victory to craft a sword strong enough to defeat the Storm by cutting off all three of its heads, sending the storm crashing down with no casualties, saving the day.
"She could be trying to recreate the last 2 victories of the Order."
"Sure Soren, but why?"
Footsteps
Everyone fell silent.
More footsteps.
Ivor opened his mouth in a harsh whisper and said
"Scatter."
Hey guys! I know I said soon and it's been a week but relative to my 3 year break this is technically soon! Parakeetlover3 thank you for joining. I love you very much. MCtheYoutuber, I love you as well. I hope you enjoyed it, though I do realize my audience participation is lacking and my order of the stone story is a little lacking but it is what it is. I'll improve and I'll update when I can! Bye guys!
Love,
Noble
