An energy tornado appeared getting everybody's attention.

Aufwachen Waveform detected!" – informed one of the operators at S.O.N.G.

"QUANTUM SYMPHOGEAR"

"QSG-01 TRISHULA - SYSTEM ALL GREEN"

The energy tornado disappeared, letting Kristen be seen wielding her new relic: Trishula.

Lara looked at her with arrogance and interest.

- "Okay, LET'S DO THIS!" – Kristen said, ready to let the battle begin.

EP02: "Trishula, Shine On!"

- "This is going to be my first time on a real battle, I'm a little bit scared…" – Kristen thought but she immediately shook her head – "… but now I don't have time to retreat, I can only hope for the best and see how things go"

- "Hey, isn't that thing you are wielding a Symphogear armor?" – asked Lara.

I don't see why I would answer that"

- "Okay, I tried to do it the good way" – Lara extended her arm making the Noise that were on the ship go to the port as if they were a ball of chewed gum.

{Gear song: "Trishula • Quantum Burst"}

- "Here they come!" – Kristen thought while starting to sing.

Some Noise were going to hit her but she literally turned them into dust using her trident. This was her first time doing something like this but it looked like she was an experienced veteran.

- "Uh? They are no different from the ones I know…" – Kristen thought when she saw the Noise turn into dust – "Perfect!"

Kristen kept ending the Noise that were arriving to the place with her weapon.

Meanwhile, in the headquarters Hibiki was watching the scene with a lot of interest.

- "Her vital signs are stable" – an operator stated.

- "We could say it's been a success" – Elfnein asked Hibiki.

- "Partially" – the commander answered – "We still don't know how could it affect Kristen"

- "That's true, let's watch a little bit more"

Kristen kept ending the Noise one by one while Lara was escaping with a chest under her feet, four really powerful relics were inside it.

Kristen, that chest contains four really important relics, don't let her run away with them!" – Hibiki informed using the Symphogear communication system.

- "Hah! You are not going to get away so easily!"

Suddenly, Kristen's eyes turned green and for a moment and everything lost their color. A big wave of energy emerged from her waist and her iron boots' crystals, giving her a big propulsion energy.

Kristen jumped towards Lara in order to snatch her the relics, carbonizing the noise that were on her way. She was able to deal a big headbutt to Lara's abdomen making her fall from the chest to the ship.

- "Insolent!" – Lara shouted trying to hit Kristen only to be stopped by her trident.

Lara used her powers to make the four suitcases that were inside the chest float. When Kristen saw this, she jumped again in order to stop the suitcases but she was only able to get one of them, falling into the sea in the process.

Lara saw this but instead of keeping the battle going she retreated, taking with her the other three suitcases.

Kristen observed the suitcase while trying to process what just happened.

- "What a mess…" – she whispered to herself after realizing what just happened.

The police arrived there with Hibiki, Elfnein and a medical team.

- "Are you okay?" – Elfnein asked.

- "Yes! Every part of my body is on its place so…" – answered Kristen analyzing her own body.

- "Thank to heaven…"

- "By the way… I've only been able to recover this relic. I'm sorry" – Kristen gave Hibiki the suitcase while Elfnein gave her a towel.

- "Don't worry, we will recover them. You fought really well for this to be your first time. I'm going to say that you did even better that I did when I wielded Gungnir for the first time" – Hibiki said while laughing.

- "What?! No, no, no! How can you say that?! This's only been the beginner's luck" – a modest Kristen said – "Besides, I need training. I need to know what I'm truly capable of"

- "That's true. Well, we better get going, we have a lot to work on" – answered Hibiki.

They went back to S.O.N.G while the others kept working on the investigation.

Meanwhile in the city of Los Cabos…

- "You've only been able to bring three of the four relics…" – Andrew said to Lara, who was kneeling as if he was an eminence.

- "Yeah, a girl working for the government interfered on my mission" – answered Lara. This answer made Andrew look at her with interest – "looks like she was wielding a Symphogear armor"

- "A Symphogear armor? That system is not supposed to exist anymore" – Andrew stood up of his chair and looked through the hole on the wall which was facing to the cage where the other two girls were trapped.

- "They've been able to replicate them… Wonderful. That only gives me more confidence to keep working on my project"

Andrew got back to his chair with a mischievous smile on his face

- "Well… Let's see what you've brought me" – Andrew said while turning on a monitor where the name of four relics could be seen."

"TYRFING"

"LAEVATEINN"

"GRAM"

And the one you lost…"

"RIYU JINGU BANG"

- "Oh, I see… It does not matter; I have the ones I need to carry out the plan. And I'm glad to inform you that you are going to be really useful" – whispered Andrew just before looking at Lara with a macabre smile.

She had a feeling that something really bad was going to happen to her. She was starting to question her boss' actions.

Meanwhile on section 2…

Elfnein was running some tests on Kristen.

- "Well… Everything looks normal…" – Elfnein said when she finished the tests. After a while she noticed that something was off with her blood – "wait… your blood's composition has changed. Your white blood cells are stronger than ever…"

- "Oh wow. I did not expect that. Is there anything else?" – a curious Kristen asked.

- "Let's see… Oh! The color of your blood changed when you wielded Trishula"

- "Wait, what?! My blood changed color?!"

- "Yes, the report says that there are traces of some particles that make it change color when Trishula is active"

- "That's really… Interesting" – Kristen whispered incredulously – "but isn't that an adverse effect?"

- "Only if you lose a lot of blood while fighting"

- "Understood. If you say that there are no adverse effects… I'll go to the training simulator; I need to test a few things" – answered Kristen while putting on her clothes.

- "And what do you think about this, Minister Kazanari?" – asked Hibiki.

- "I never thought that a new threat that requires the use of the Symphogear system would ever appear" – a woman on her twenties who was on her governmental office answered.

"Kazanari Tsubasa – Prime Minister of Japan and former wielder of Ame no Habakiri"

- "We have to make sure that the only relic that we recovered does not get into the terrorists' hands"

- "Exactly. It's currently being sheltered on a really safe place before we use it on the second stage of the Project Q" – Hibiki stated.

- "Now that you mention it. I heard that the first stage of the project was a success, congratulations" – Tsubasa said with a smile.

- "Hehehe I think you should congratulate Kristen and Elfnein, they were the ones who did all the hard work. I only was in charge of controlling the process"

- "But you took part on that so part of the merit goes to you. My uncle made the right choice when he chose you as his successor" – Tsubasa said, causing a brief moment of silence.

- "Whatever… Are you going to start the second stage of the project?" – asked the former 'sakimori'.

- "Yeah but there's a little problem"

- "And that problem is…"

- "We do not have a candidate. The first stage was easy because Kristen offered herself to wield the relic from the first moment"

- "Okay that's a problem" – Tsubasa stated seriously – "we never thought that this was going to get so far"

- "That's true, it amazes me every time I think about it"

Suddenly, Maria got into the room where the current conversation was taking place.

- "I'm here… Oh? Tsubasa!" – said Maria when she saw Miss Tsubasa on the screen.

- "Maria! Long time no see. How are you?" – Tsubasa said with a happy tone on her voice.

- "I'm doing okay! How are you?"

- "It's amazing how the mood changes when you two meet each other!" – Hibiki interrupted when she saw them talking about their life.

- "Were you talking about not having a candidate for the phase two of the Project?" – asked Maria.

- "Yeah, as I was saying to Tachibana, we did not expect this to get so far…"

- "Well if that's the case… I think I know the perfect person for this" – Maria claimed with a confident smile on her face.

Meanwhile in the simulator…

Kristen was using Trishula to fight some fake Noise who were alternating their difficulty level.

- "Oh wow, my body feels lighter" – Kristen thought while looking at herself.

But there was a little detail. Her physical strength was visibly better but she could feel that her Armed Gear had something really powerful inside that she could not unleash. A power that was screaming her name but no matter how hard she tried, she could not reach it.

I feel something every time I grab this trident but I don't know what it is or how to awaken it... What am I missing?" – Kristen thought just after ending the last Noise of the simulation.

When she got out of the room, she saw Elfnein focused on reading the results of the simulation while using some headphones to listen to music.

Kristen walks slowly towards Elfnein and gently touches her shoulders making the 'not-so-small-anymore' homunculus jump.

- "You scared me!" – Elfnein screamed while Kristen laughed.

- "I'm sorry but you looked really focused. What are you listening to?" – asked Kristen.

- "Oh, this is KayMe's new song: 'Soul Evolution'" – Elfnein answered while trying to keep her cool.

- "Can I listen to it?" – Kristen puts on the headphones and Elfnein plays the song – "Uhm… That sounds really good"

- "I know right? The best part is that the music style is really similar to the one Maria used when she wielded Airgetlám"

- "Oh, really? That's interesting…"

Meanwhile in one of the streets of the town, a kid separated from his mother and got lost on a big crowd.

Lara was on the top of a building thinking about what Andrew had told her.

*Retrospective*

- "In the art of war… The one who makes the enemy go back, will have the advantage. The Cold War is a good example of this. I need you to cause a big distraction for the government, I don't care what you do, our goal is to slow their operations down" – Andrew said with a macabre tone on his voice.

*End of the retrospective*

- "I can't understand this…" – Lara thought. After that, she used the device on her hand to invoke a Noise in front of the lost child.

Suddenly, the Noise alarm starts ringing all over Section 2.

- "We are getting some Noise signal on a commercial area" – one of the operators warned.

- "That's a really crowded area! Kristen!" – Hibiki called.

- "Yes! Let's do it!" – Kristen answered with determination.

The Noise had pulverized a big amount of innocent people, panic had been triggered. Lara was watching the scene until Kristen arrived to the place.

- "She's here again…" – Lara thought while going down to the place where Kristen was at.

- "It's you again" – Kristen said after noticing Lara.

- "I won't be so nice to you this time. You are going to answer me if that thing you are wielding is a Symphogear by hook or by crook"

- "I won't get behind this time neither"

- "I can see the determination on her face… Looks like this is going to be fun" – Lara thought

Kristen's gear activated and Lara ordered the Noise to attack her.

Kristen charged into the noise and using her trident weapon was able to take care of them, just like the last time.

One of the Noise dodged Kristen's attack leaving some free space which Lara used to break the Symphogear user's defense.

Lara hit Kristen's abdomen and after that, she punched her chest depriving her of breathing, in that moment, Lara grabbed Kristen's face and smashed it into the ground multiple times. After that, while having Kristen's face on her hand, Lara tossed her into the air and kicked her sending Kristen into a clothing store that, luckily, was closed.

Lara smiled when she saw the placed destroyed. Meanwhile, Kristen was recovering from that big blow.

Ouch, that hurts… She's strong" – Kristen thought just after touching her bottom lip, only to notice that she was bleeding.

Lara kept walking around the place until she heard an explosion.

- "Gotcha!" – Kristen shouted while throwing herself quickly into Lara using her trident to trap her.

Lara smiles and just after that, she put in front of her the lost child she kidnaped when she was waiting for Kristen.

Kristen stopped immediately in order to avoid hurting him by accident.

- "Tch, Lara… That's foul play" – Kristen warned. This was getting the better of her.

- "Oh sorry… I will let him go" – Lara said mockingly. Just after that she dropped the kid into the floor who ran away as fast as he could, terrified.

When the kid was a few meters away from them, Lara made her left eye shine and just before Kristen could do anything to avoid it, a big explosion took the life of that innocent child.

Kristen was in shock; she could not process what had just happened. When Lara saw her expression, she couldn't help but smile

- "What… What have you done…?" – Kristen whispered; eyes full of rage.

Let's say that… The angrier you are... The funnier this gets"

- "YOU BIIIITCH!"

Kristen's eyes became green, the Gear piece on her back began shining with a big amount of green energy which worked like a propulsor. Kristen jumped using all that power and got ready to attack.

- "You are going to regret having done that!" – Kristen screamed with an imponent voice while lifting her trident towards the sky. Multiple clouds got together, surrounding the sharp end of her Armed Gear. A lightning fell changing the shape of the trident into a big energy cannon that was pointing directly towards Lara.

- "This is bad! Kristen, stop!" – Hibiki commanded.

- "Don't do it! You will destroy the whole place" – Elfnein said trying to dissuade her.

Kristen's cannon filled with energy and she was about to shoot it, she wanted to make Lara pay.

- "Lara, come back you have distracted them enough" – Andrew ordered.

- "Right now? I just made her angry!"

- "Stop playing and come here immediately"

- "Okay… Tsk, party pooper" – Lara cut the communication and noticed that Kristen was ready to attack – "Well, now we know that that is a Symphogear armor"

- "GO TO HELL!" – Kristen shouted while shooting her cannon.

"ETERNAL PUNISH"

A huge ray was about to hit Lara but she disappeared. They ray destroyed the whole street leaving a big trail of destruction.

Everybody at Section 2 was amazed and scared of Trishula's true power. They couldn't blame Elfnein nor Kristen, they hadn't been able to try the abilities of the relic on a safe environment and right now the only thing they thought about was the big reprimand that they were going to receive from the UN and of course, from the Prime Minister Kazanari.

Kristen's trident returned to its original shape and she landed into the ground smoothly, after that her gear disappeared.

Kristen fell into her knees and began to question her new duty.

Maria was watching everything through a screen while being inside her car parked on the other side of the city, in the back of the car there was a young woman with long orange hair wearing dark glasses and a hat that made her unrecognizable.

- "Poor girl, right master Maria?" – the young woman asked.

- "Yes, I remember when Tsubasa went through a similar experience during the battle against Noble Red. I understand how Kristen is feeling right now" – Maria answered.

- "I wonder what is she going to do now" – the young woman said as she watched on the screen how Kristen was kneeling and looking down as the authorities began to appear on the place.
