Chapter 3! This chapter is going to be the second last one, but I may post an after-story one-shot eventually. Anyways, thanks again to my amazing reviewers: Jaell and Seleine16!

Seleine16: Wu only had suspicions of what happened to Jay before they looked into Nya's memory, but after he saw what had happened he knew that Jay had become his element. Cole believed her at first, until the rest of the team doubted Nya, and then he lost hope. I hope this chapter is worth getting excited for!

Jaell: If this were a real season...that would be amazing! I love all of the Jaya moments the show puts out!

Note: The interactions between Jay and Cole in this and the next chapter are intended to be a true friendship, not romantic at all. I'm a Jaya fan, not Bruiseshipping.

I do not own Ninjago!

Now, let's get to it!

"Whoa, that's a lot of lightning." Nya commented as she flew to the Floating Ruins. She could see streaks of light flash in front of her, and she shivered. Lightning was beautiful, but it was super dangerous. She was not in her element, and she was scared. Jay would be able to comfort her. But he's not here. The voice in her head said, but Nya shook it off. He was going to be beside her soon enough.

"Sensei Wu, is this safe? I mean, I want to get back Jay and all, but this is crazy! If I get electrocutedー"

"Would Jay jump into the ocean for you?" Sensei Wu responded from his elemental dragon, who was flying beside her's. Nya had to nod. Yes, the Ninja of Lightning would not only jump into an ocean, but would drown for her. She knew where Sensei was going with this. She sighed.

"Ok, ok, I'll push through it, for Jay."

"Good. Because there is no turning back now." Wu said as he landed his dragon. Nya followed. She had never been here before, but it really was made of ruins. Sensei Wu pointed to a circular platform that hung in the air, attached to a chain.

"That was where the Nunchucks of Lightning were hidden. And that is where I believe Jay will be."

"Why there? How are you so sure?" Nya asked. She did not want to go up there for nothing.

Sensei Wu began making his way to the base, Nya followed.

"Because, this is the first place he was truly exposed to his element, and that is where people who are made of their element usually go. And, they go to the place their element is the strongest. That small platform is where the lightning is strongest. He is there."

Now the two were standing at the bottom of the chain, looking up. Nya gulped. If her boyfriend was up there, there would not be too much room for the three of them. That platform was tiny. She looked over at her Sensei, who was stroking his beard in thought.

"There's not enough room." He said, and she nodded. She knew what she had to do, but she needed instruction, first.

" I'll go up there by myself, he probably feels more comfortable around me than you. What do I do?"

Sensei sighed, likely not happy with staying back, but he knew it was the right thing to do. " You must calm him down, and he must concentrate. Like Cole when he was a ghost, Jay will not be able to become human until he does these things. Good luck."

"Okay, Nya, you can do this." The Water Ninja said to herself before beginning the long trek up the chain, up to the platform.

As she climbed, the lightning got worse, striking so close to her, but never hitting her. The wind whipped through her black hair, blinding her, pushing her down, but she kept on climbing. For Jay.

She thought back to a conversation they had before Jay 'died', and was comforted by it. Hand over hand, foot over foot, she recalled the talk in her head.

"What would hurt more: getting killed by a porcupine or eaten by a giant snake?" Jay asked, his eyes twinkling. Nya rolled her eyes. Where did he come up with this stuff?

"Uhh...I don't know. You should probably ask Sensei, he was eaten by a snake before."

Jay ignored her. " I would say a porcupine, because it would be a long, painful death. And, you would die from a cute creature."

Nya giggled, but had to interrupt him before he started saying crazier things. "Jay, Iー" Jay's eyes suddenly widened, and he gripped her shoulders, smiling.

"Nya! I have decided I want a pet porcupine! How does that sound? He could be like our kid, we could name it, feed it, talk to it, we'll be like it's parents!" Jay said, his mouth slamming shut once he realized what he had said. Nya laughed. She would never get over Jay, never.

"Sounds great, Jay. But, we already have a spiky, temperamental creature on our team, I don't think we need another. Good idea, though." Now it was Jay's turn to laugh.

"Are you calling your brother a porcupine?"

Nya shrugged, " Maybe? Don't tell." Jay smiled,

"As long as you don't tell him about this." And then Jay kissed her. And she kissed back.

Nya was near the top now. She didn't know what she was going to do, but she figured she would have to play it by ear. Just go for it.

Finally, she scaled the last chain, and pulled herself up onto the land. Her eyes widened at the lightning in front of her. It was shaped like a human. He really was here.

His back was towards her, his head tilted up, like he was looking to the sky. The Water Ninja slowly walked closer, not wanting to scare him. She drew in a deep breath, hoping this would go well.

"Jay? It's me, Nya. I'm here to help you." She said, loud enough to be heard above the wind. Jay turned to her, his bright blue eyes vibrate, even against his glowing, sparkling body.

"Nya? What are you doing here?" The Master of Lightning sounded like he was scared, his voice, although still tinted with electricity, wavered. Nya stepped closer to him, holding out her hand.

"I'm here to help you."

"No! No one can help me! I'm all alone…"

" No, Jay, you're never alone. I'm here, Sensei Wu is just below us, and the others are back at base. Just trust me."

Jay shook his head, and stepped away from her. "I trust you, I just don't trust myself."

"But you can, Jay. I know this situation is confusing, and hard, but you can get through it. You won't hurt me, that I know. So, stop running! Running away from your problems won't help anyone."

Jay looked back at her. "What if you can't help me? I'm tired of being alone. I don't want to lose my hope again."

Nya's hand was close to Jay's electric one, but not touching it yet. " I will help you, Jay Walker. I will help you if it takes every beat of my heart, every drop of blood, every breath of my lungs. I will never give up. Not on you, not on anything. I will help you. This hope you feel, it will not go away. It will only get stronger. Just like my love for you."

Her boyfriend' eyes looked into her's, and he nodded hesitantly. "What do I have to do, Doc?

Nya laughed before becoming serious once again. " My hand is close to your's. Try to focus on making that hand physical. Just the hand, nothing else." Jay took a deep breath, and closed his eyes. Nya could feel Jay relax in front of her. Then, the lightning that made up his hand clustered together, making him look more solid. Then, it began to fade, being replaced with a real hand. Nya gasped in delight.

"Jay, open your eyes and look at your hand. Trust me." And Jay did. His eyes widened at the sight. He moved his newly-formed hand around, as if feeling it for the first time.

"I did it." He breathed out. His smile became bigger, and he locked eyes with Nya. Then, as if by magic, the Blue Ninja's whole body became human again, slowly, but surely. Then, after what felt like hours, Jay blinked, and his eyes were now his normal shade, his body completely whole once again. He was wearing the ninja gi he wore when he died, and a tear was visible, exactly where the arrow had pierced him. Nya placed her hands on Jay's chest, feeling his skin and his heartbeat, solid as ever. Relieved laughter escaping her lips. She could touch him. She could touch him!

Jay pulled his girlfriend into a hug, tears streaming down his face. Then, they kissed, not wanting to lose each other again. When the two pulled away, Nya noticed a glowing coming from his chest. Jay, also noticing it, pulled his shirt up, and gasped in shock. Where the arrow had struck him was a glowing scar, bright blue. Jay sighed, and put his shirt down once again.

"I guess when someone comes back from the dead they have scars to prove it." Nya punched his shoulder at the comment.

"Well, at least you're alive. Let's get back to Sensei."

"Let's"

As soon as Jay walked forward with Nya, his right leg gave out, and Jay gave out a scream. His leg had turned into lightning once again, stopping at his thigh. Jay started panicking.

"No! I can't change back! It was horrible! Nonononono…"

"Jay! It's going to be okay, just focus! Focus on me!" And Jay did. He, once again, locked eyes with the love of his life, and breathed deeply. His leg became whole again.

"This is going to take some getting used to." Jay said. Nya gave a sad smile to her boyfriend, knowing he was going through a lot.

"I'm sure Cole can help, too. Do you miss him?" Jay nodded.

"Each and every one. I even miss Dareth. How long has it been?"

"A bit over a month."

Nya created her elemental dragon, and they both hopped on, going down to Sensei Wu, who was waiting for them. He waved as they descended, and ran towards them when they landed.

"Jay, it's so good to see you again. I thought we had lost you." The wise man said, pulling his student into a hug. Nya could tell Jay's hand flickered out of physical essence, but came back soon enough. Luckly, Jay was not touching their master with that hand. No one wanted Sensei Wu to get electrocuted.

"Now, I assume you want to see the others, Jay?"

"Absolutely!"

As the trio walked up to the doors of their home, Nya supported Jay, as his leg continued flickering in and out, being human one moment and lightning the next. The Water Ninja could tell Jay was worried, but he was keeping cool. If he weren't, Jay would probably be exactly where he started.

" I'll go inside and gather the others in the living room, you wait to make the introduction." Sensei Wu said, before heading inside. Jay and Nya followed, but hung back, letting Sensei live out whatever plan he had in mind.

The two could hear the others come into the living room, and Nya softly snickered. They could hear what Wu said to the others from their hiding spot, but had to strain their ears.

" I know things have been rough, ever since we lost Jay. But, I hope something I found will lift your spirits up a bit."

"Lift our spirits? Nothing will do that, Sensei! Jay's gone! And nothing will fit that hole in our hearts rather than him. Nothing." Kai spat out, standing up. Zane hushed him, pushing the fire Ninja back into his seat. Sensei Wu nodded.

"I know, Kai, good thing I found the perfect thing. Nya?" The Water Ninja figured this was the signal, and began walking. Jay wiggled out of her grasp, and gave a confident smile. I can go in on my own. He mouthed. Nya smiled and walked into the living room.

" Hey, guys." She said.

Kai groaned. " I hate to say it, Sensei, but Nya was already here and you didn't find her."

Cole's eyes widened, and so did Zane's. Lloyd looked up from his shoes, and Kai looked around his sister to see what everyone was making a big deal about.

"No way…" Kai said softly.

"JAY!" Cole screamed, running towards his best friend, enveloping him in a huge hug. Jay hugged back, smiling.

This is not the end, one chapter to go!

I also have a poll on my profile...I have a crazy idea for an AU...go vote! (If you want)
