Later that night, Harry was in his room preparing to dive back into the Zombie Dungeon. Having finished up with the garden and cooking dinner for his family, he retreated to his room for the night. He was able to improve his stats between finishing the garden and cooking his dinner. STR and END by exercising and INT and WIS by reading.

When it came to exercise, he just practiced what he knew from gym class; push-ups, sit-ups, and jumping jacks. Nothing too advanced, but they got the job done. He occasionally hit a wall in the form of a negative status effect, which hampered him physically due to the strain he was putting on his body. But it only lasted for 15 mins before fading away.

This leads him to how he increased his INT and WIS stats. While he was waiting for the negative effect, he would grab a book and read it until he could exercise again. Besides the increase in stats, he also gained two Skills.

He would say he split his time perfectly between exercising and reading. Improving them equally.

"Inventory."

Harry grabbed the bat he placed into his Inventory. He swung it around a little. He couldn't explain it, but he felt like he had greater control over it. Something he chalked up to the other Skills he earned earlier in the Dungeon while he was distracted.

Giving himself another once over, he decided to grab a Jacket as it was night time and a little nippy out. And with that, "I.D. Create: Zombie."

Reality twisted and rotated before settling back into place. Harry walked out his door and down the stairs. Opening the front door, he was greeted by the same purple sky and dilapidated area. Also, it was day time. How ever that worked with the sky being purple. It should have been night time and therefor dark, as its around 8 am. Maybe the time outside had no bearing on the time inside. Plus, it being daytime helped him, not having to deal with poor visibility.

Guess he didn't need the jacket after all. He shrugged as he continued down the pathways to reach the sidewalk. The moment his foot touch the sidewalk, he was greeted with a screen.

Round 1

This didn't happen the last time. Perhaps he missed it last time? Nah, he doubted it. Perhaps it understood his intention earlier and accommodated him? The sound of something cracking jerked him from his thoughts. Harry saw, well, watched as something crawled out from the asphalt, get to its feet, and begin to stumble towards him.

"What the-" Harry started before more cracks began to appear around him. Some closer than he liked to admit. "Observe."

Zombie - Lvl 1

HP: 150

MP: 0

(The weakest type of zombie. It's slow and dumb but has a powerful hold. Beware of hordes!)

[Kill to earn 50 Exp]

"Bloody hell."

The zombies were strong enough to easily break through asphalt. Harry thought that should be a focal point in their description boxes. On the bright side, they were a lower level and had less HP.

Harry moved the bat to his right hand and raised his other at the first zombie that appeared. "Fireball!" The zombie wailed loudly before falling to the ground and slowly vanished. Harry turned and swung his bat towards the head of a zombie that was too close. As much as he hated it, he couldn't rely solely on his magic. Harry counted a total of 10 zombies earlier, that was nearly all of his MP and this was only the 1st round.

"Fireball!"

To bypass this limitation, he would need to level up to increase his MP capacity and increase his WIS stat to increase MP regen. One thing he didn't have was a stamina bar or gauge. And as long as he didn't overexert himself, he wouldn't have to worry about the negative status effect.

Harry cracked his bat against the skull of another zombie. "Five down, five to go." He sent another Fireball at a zombie behind him. He backed away and waited for a zombie to get close enough before swinging his bat at it. Seeing three zombies remaining, he willed 3 Fireballs to manifest and sent them flying.

Harry swiped the alerts away. He was happy about the increase in damage to his fireballs and the slight decrease in MP consumption. But now he needed something that would increase his MP regen. He wanted to try something so he called, "Status."

Description: Harry James Potter is the only son of James Potter and Lily Potter nee Evans. He was left at his mother's sister's place at the tender age of 1 and has since lived with his aunt and uncle, Petunia and Vernon Dursley, and his cousin, Dudley Dursley. He resents them for how they treated him when he was younger and can't wait to leave. He knows his parents are still alive due to overhearing such from his uncle one night. He doesn't understand why they would leave their only child and not take care of him. A newly accepted student to Hogwarts, school of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Harry noticed he was close to leveling up, only needing 150 more Exp for Level 5. He had 30 Status Points. His dream was to become a Mage, so to increase his magical ability he allocated most of his Skill Points to WIS and INT.

It looked like this now:

STR: 7 - 8

END: 7 - 8

DEX: 4 - 8

INT: 18 - 25

WIS:14 - 25

CHR: 2 - 8

LUC: 26

Ping!

Due to having two Stats with 25 Points, you earned two Perks!

[Mana Affinity: Regeneration]

(Increases the amount MP you regenerate per second!)

500% increase in regeneration

[Mana Affinity: Capacity]

(Increases the amount of MP you're able to hold!)

500% increase in capacity

MP: 8,100

(Regen: 2,250/min)

"Holy!" Harry said, shocked. He didn't recall anything about Perks... Something he would have to aim for from now on. He didn't need the baseball bat anymore. He didn't know how long it would be practical, the higher the level the more HP the zombies had. Granted, he did one-hit-kill a level 4 zombie...

Twice...

Round 2

Harry berated himself for his lack of attention. It will get him killed one day.

Or a nice snack for a hungry zombie...

Zombies began to make holes in the asphalt and crawled their way up. He swung his bat at the closest one causing it to halt completely. See one in his peripheral vision, he turned and sent a Fireball at it, killing it instantly. He backed up before using Fireball again.

Ping!

You leveled up!

+100 HP!

+900 MP!

+5 Skill Points!

Harry grinned. He had the greatest birthday present an eleven-year-old could ask for! Was he just using the same two attacks over and over again? Yes, but he didn't have anything else. And it's not like he cared anyways. He continued to keep his distance as he sent fireballs and swung at the occasional zombie.

Zombie - Lvl 2

HP: 250

MP: 0

(The weakest type of zombie. It's slow and dumb but has a powerful hold. Beware of hordes!)

[Kill to earn 50 Exp]

It seems that every level correlated to what level they would be. Level 2 zombies had 250 HP rather than the 150 HP the Level 1s had, but lower than the 450 HP the Level 4s had. So Harry assumed Level 3 zombies would have 350 HP, which would mean two fireballs instead of just one.

Due to your logical reasoning, you earned 1 WIS!

Eh, one fireball and a smack from his bat would work just as well and would decrease his MP usage by half instead if he were to use two fireballs. Harry summoned 4 fireballs to finish this round.

Round 2 complete!

Round 3 will begin in 60 seconds!

It had to be getting late on the outside, maybe around 9 or 10-ish by now? It was taking him too long to complete each round. He'd try to be more proactive from now on.

"Could I get a zombie counter?" Harry asked awkwardly to the Dungeon.

Remaining Zombies: n/a

It worked. It wasn't a normal screen, it was burned in at the bottom of his sight.

Round 3!

Remaining Zombies: 21

Once again, the zombies appeared from the ground. Harry immediately sent a Fireball accompanied by a swing. He would repeat this process for every zombie until none remained.

Round 3 complete!

Round 4 will begin in 60 seconds!

Ping!

You leveled up!

+100 HP!

+900 MP!

+5 Skill Points!

It was funny. Harry had watched Dudley grind in order to level up his character and always wondered how he could do it for hours and hours. After all, he was just repeating the same thing over and over and over again. Harry now understood. Every kill he got, the closer he would be to improving himself. For Harry, it was instant satisfaction.

Fireball, swing. Fireball, swing. Fireball, swing.

Just thinking that Harry was bored. To him it was fun, to others it would be monotonous and uneventful. Luckily, two of his Skills leveled up.

Two Skills leveled up!

[Fireball - Active - Lvl 3]

(Create a ball to fire to attack your enemies.)

Cost: 80 MP

Damage: 500 HP

[Fire Manipulation - Passive - Lvl 2]

(Passively increases the amount of damage you deal when using fire-related magicks.)

+20% Fire Damage

Harry's fireballs would now deal 600 damage each. And thanks to 4125 MP regen, he could send one every 1.3 seconds without dipping into his reserves.

Round 4

Remaining Zombies: 29

"Observe."

Zombie - Lvl 4

[Kill to earn 50 Exp]

Harry laughed. He was back to one-hit-killing zombies with his fireballs. And possibly next round as well if they have 550 HP as he predicts they will. Raising his hand, he got to work.

Round 4 complete!

Round 5 will begin in 60 seconds!

Harry had nothing to worry about now. These low-level zombies were no match for him and wouldn't be for quite a few more rounds.

Harry placed his bat into his Inventory, his MP and MP Regen was more than efficient enough to rely on. Besides keeping a 2-meter distance, he was just going to spam fireballs until he couldn't. Call him boring if you wish.

Round 5 complete!

Round 6 will begin in 60 seconds.

Round 6

Remaining Zombies: 45

Harry watched as numerous zombies spawned around him. One thing he did wish was they were easier on the eyes. And his nose. He didn't even move anymore. Instead, he would just send a Fireball at any zombie that got within a certain range. It was sort of a ritual by now, but he looks at each round's zombie status.

"Observe."

Zombie - Lvl 6

HP: 650

MP: 0

(The weakest type of zombie. It's slow and dumb but has a powerful hold. Beware of hordes!)

[Kill to earn 100 Exp]

This would be the last round he could one-shot zombies with his fireballs. On the bright side, each zombie was worth double the Exp of the previous rounds. Harry snapped his finger and six fireballs appear around his waist, rotating counter-clockwise. They kind of acted as a shield for him, if a zombie got too close, they would be hit by one of the moving fireballs.

Another thing he learned was if he summoned them he could store them around his body and let his MP fill back up. A perfect example would be if he were to do this in-between rounds, store up dozens of fireballs and then use them once the round begins, which would allow him to leave his MP untouched.

Harry snapped again, a dozen materialized this time. These orbited a meter away from him, clockwise. Another idea was to walk around with the 'rings' of fireballs to kill them faster.

He watched as the zombies willingly killed themselves, walking into the moving fireballs. He snapped for two dozen Fireballs and mentally controlled them to seek out any zombies in sight. It took a bit of work but he got it down after a few buggerings. Harry would compare it to the action of patting your head and rubbing your stomach in a circular motion simultaneously.

Time Skip

The orange ball of fire splashed against its torso, covering the zombie in its warm, suffocating embrace. The flames spread it's way up the zombie's rotting neck to its mutilated face. The yellow light that leaked from its eyesockets slowly subsided. Its body following the light into the abyss.

Round 9 complete!

Round 10 will begin in 60 seconds.

Warning Boss fight inbound!

"Boss fight?" Harry questioned to himself. Bosses were notorious for being incredibly difficult, but equally as rewarding. He wondered what it could be. An ordinary zombie with a significant increase in health? A zombified bodybuilder, perhaps? Maybe a 20-meter tall zombie? Harry laughed; now that terrified him. All the monster would need to do was step on him, even accidentally to end his life.

Harry let out a small yawn. It must be 1 by now. He would do this boss fight and then leave to sleep.

Error

Statement: Unable to initiate Round 10 Boss Fight.

Reason: Player does not meet the necessary parameters.

Solution: Immediate ejection of all participants.

"Huh?" Was the only thing he could utter before he was forcefully translocated back to his bedroom. Harry clutched his head in discomfort. His whole brain felt like it was lit ablaze, ironic. He kept his eyes shut tight. The pain soon abated; he did not want to ever experience that again. Ever.

He rolled on his back, staring up at his ceiling. Harry closed his eyes and exhaled slowly. He fell asleep without even meaning to.

Time skip

Its been a little over two weeks since his eleventh birthday or more importantly the day his life changed. Today would be the day his parents pick him up and take him shopping for the supplies he would need for his tenure at Hogwarts. Petunia had told him last night.

Harry was cleaning dishes after dinner when his aunt came up to him. "Your parents will be coming tomorrow morning to take you shopping." Petunia stated.

Harry nodded, solemn at the idea of finally meeting his parents. "Will I be coming back?"

"Hopefully not."

Recalling the memory stung. To know that your family hated you and didn't want you around hurt Harry. His parents abandoned him and his aunt and her family hated him because of something outside his control. He had an overall shitty family situation.

Child abandonment from his parents or discrimination from the Dursleys.

Bloody brilliant.

After cooking breakfast, he quickly ate and began on his chores. Petunia and Vernon didn't care about his parents picking him up or not, they wanted his chores done before he had to go.

A soft knock on the door pulled Harry from his thoughts. He wiped his hands clean with a damp towel and walked to the door. On the other side of the door was a beautiful woman who looked to be in her late 20s with red hair. She wore a weird-looking robe with a cloak that concealed any other article of clothes she might be wearing. There's one detail about her that told Harry who she was. Her emerald green eyes. They were identical to the ones that stared back at him in the mirror every morning.

"Hello, my son." Lily greeted, with a smile. "Oh, how I've missed you." She got on her knees and opened her arms expectantly. Harry stared at her unsure. This was everything he wanted, but why did it feel wrong?
