Wow! Everyone is so nice! :D I got so many encouraging reviews. I love the feedback, and any tips are VERY welcome.
Me and WarriorsFanfiction111111111111 have decided to write this book together! So the next chapter will be written by her! :D
Blood.
Everywhere, there was blood. It covered every cat that had been in the evening patrol. Darkbelly should have taken her kits to the nursery, so they wouldn't have to see it. But she was watching, jaw-dropped as the carried Cinderbreeze into the clearing, and Hollykit couldn't blame her. Cinderbreeze was bleeding everywhere, and you could scarcely believe she was alive, and awake. Hollykit looked around, and she saw a cat who had a deep scratch mark along his flank. She gasped. It was Lightpaw. The kind, yellow apprentice, who played moss ball after his training, and who shared his prey with the elders. Hollykit sight blurred, and she started to stumble, but a steady orange paw kept her up.
"You look a little woozy Hollykit," Blazepaw, the clans medicine cats apprentice meowed with a look of concern.
"Let me look in the medicine den, okay? I think we use thyme…" he trailed of, looking in the distance.
Hollykit stumbled after him, staring at the ground, trying not to step in the small puddles of warm blood. She had never seen that much blood before. Only one other time did she see blood, and that was when her brother Splashkit, has scratched his nose on a holly bush. Which she wouldn't stop teasing about. But this was different. Very, very different. As Blazepaw got the strong-smelling herbs, Hollykit watched her clan form her nest. Mostly her mother, who was trying not to get to emotional with Cinderbreeze, but was failing badly. Hollykit remembered that they were good friends.
Who did this? She thought sadly. Weren't we tackling each other just this morning?
Are we really that frail?
"what happened?" Hollykit didn't even realize the leader had come. She too looked horrified. Though much less than Hollykit was. Until she saw Lightpaw. She screeched, and ran to him. Hollykit remembered that Scratchstar was Lightpaw and Shadepaws mother.
"Blazepaw, Lightpaw will live, won't he?" Hollykit whispered. Blazepaw looked up from the assorted piles of leaves, and sighed. He walked over to her, and rested his fluffy tail on her shoulder, reassuringly.
"If its Starclan will," he meowed sadly.
Scratchstar stood up so fast, most of the unharmed cats jumped, or winced.
"Who did this?!" She growled, slowly. and for the first time, Hollykit was scared of her. Copperhawk, the clan deputy Got to his feet, ignoring Stalkleafs annoyed protest.
"We were marking the Windclan border, when two apprentices crashed into us, chasing a rabbit." He growled. Then, with a flick of his tail, he added; "Our rabbit." Scratchstar shook her head.
"Copperhawk, I refuse to believe that all of this, was because of a simple border mishap," she pointed with her tail at Lightpaw, and Cinderbreeze.
"Would a warrior do that over a rabbit?" Copperhawk glared at his paws.
"No, they wouldn't. We were scolding the apprentices, when a Windclan patrol attacked us! It was an ambush." Scratchstars eyes widened. Before she could protest, Darkstep padded over.
"Its true Scratchstar, I saw it with my eyes. It was wrong, and… some of them knew that." This got Scratchstars full attention. She looked interested, at Darkfoot.
"Really? How so? And whom?" a spark of hope came into her eyes, and then vanished. Hollykit tilted her head in confusion. Who was her leader hoping for? Wasn't it against the code to have friends in different clans? Copperhawk and Darkstep gave each other an unsure look, before they moved aside, revealing a lithe black tom.
The tom glared at Copperhawk, and leaped forward gracefully, landing only a couple tail lengths away from Scratchstar. There were a couple gasps, and growls, and Redfur slid his claws out. But the stranger didn't seem to notice, or maybe didn't care. The thought impressed Hollykit. He nodded respectfully to Scratchstar, and stared intently at her, as if not wanting to miss a moment of her reaction.
"Greetings," he meowed both respectfully, and arrogantly.
"I want to join your clan,"
Da da da! Oh, that was fun! I hope this was a little longer. Also, I will be updating the allegiances once or twice a week. And we will hopefully be updating soon!
