"I didn't do it!" Socks bawled, as he, Lala and Peyton was being taken away in handcuffs with lazer chains.

"Yeah, tell it to the judge." A voice, similar to Socks' said, holding his regular counterpart's arms behind his back.

Prescott had been devoid of the Adventurer's Club for years at this point.

Though... this wasn't supposed to happen.

How did it happen, may you ask, dear reader?

Read on to find out...

Socks woke up in the morning, rubbing his eyes.

He got up, stretching, and yawning, when...

He pulled a muscle in his back, making him yelp.

He frowned, rubbing his back, mumbling underneath his breath, and then went downstairs, making himself some cereal.

The year was 1972, and today...

Today was an Adventurer's Club day.

And that meant he got to see his friends.

For those not familiar with the show, his friends were the following:

Vinnie, an Italian-American kid who talked funny.

Harvey, a plus-sized ginger kid who liked baseball and wore glasses.

Franklin, an African-American kid who liked basketball, which was a little stereotypical, but in this universe, he also liked cars and mechanical things, especially ones with a lot of parts he could fiddle with.

Carol, a blonde, blue eyed young woman, who was a big fan of Rick Springfield... unfortunately. Literally the girl was straight up a groupie.

And Kim, the leader, a Korean girl with a sweet demeanor, but didn't take any nonsense from anyone.

But...

Socks might've had to sit today out, considering the fact that he had just pulled a muscle in his back while waking up.

But Socks decided to go out to the Adventurer's Club meeting today, anyways.

He wasn't missing an opportunity to meet with his friends for the world.

Socks, after eating breakfast, brushed his teeth, and went upstairs and got dressed.

His uncle was gonna drop him off at the school, and then everything would be fine, right?

Right?

Approximately 2011, in a little virtual place called Chaotic...

Peyton and Kaz watched Tom battle against Codemaster Imthor, as Peyton sipped his soda as he eyed the screen.

"This one was a long time coming." Kaz noted.

"It took hours for Tom to get to the dome."

Peyton tilted his head, raising his eyebrows.

"Really, bro?" He chuckled.

"How'd he manage that?"

Kaz made a wavy hand gesture.

"I mean... Chaotic's pretty big..."

He smiled and chuckled, letting Peyton know he was joking.

"But yeah, I'm joking around. Even now, Tom doesn't know his way around the whole place yet."

Peyton laughed a bit.

"Alright, dude. So he did get lost."

Kaz rolled his eyes, and chuckled again.

"Okay, maybe."

As the people at the table watched intently, they realized...

Tom was winning this battle!

Everyone cheered as Tom let off his last attack, taking out Imthor's last creature.

As Tom came out of the dome, Peyton and Kaz congratulated him, as Peyton patted him on the back.

"Good job, dude." He said, smiling, as he peered at Kaz, who looked away, smiling a bit.

"Yeah... I admit you did a good job." Kaz stammered a bit.

Tom, however...

"Where's Sarah?" He asked, curiously, quirking an eyebrow.

"Not online today." Peyton responded, rubbing his head.

"Which sucks, dude, because I think you'd probably get a kiss from her, or something like that."

Peyton smiled a cat-like smile as Tom scoffed, waving a hand.

"I don't even think she's that into me, Peyton."

Kaz rolled his eyes, wanting to be the voice of reason in this situation.

"She'll come around when she needs to, Peyton. Don't pin it on either of them to get together..."

Peyton made a gruff grunt, but said nothing.

"Anyways, congrats, dude." He said, under his breath.

Peyton wasn't upset about Tom and Sarah, per se...

He realized that...

...Maybe he needed someone himself.

Harvey eyed Socks, who was moving a little bit more sluggish then usual.

"Something wrong, Socks?" He said in his deep, nasally voice.

Socks shrugged.

"Don't worry about it. Just pulled a muscle in my back while waking up, that's all."

Carol looked at Socks, frowning.

"You idiot, you shouldn't have come here today." She said, softly and sternly, but with a bit of good humor.

Socks rolled his eyes, smiling a bit, as he had detected Carol's humor in there.

"I'm not gonna miss meeting with my friends for the world, Carol." He chuckled.

Carol nodded, as they walked after Miss Tickle and Rick, as Harvey raised his head, keeping watch of the injured Socks.

Ah, the infinitely vast reaches of space. A place of love, life, and wonder.

(And yes, you're supposed to read that in the Spongebob narrator voice.)

Infinitely beautiful, but there's only one Samaan.

A technological oasis in the Starry Sky Galaxy, but...

Lala was having a few issues with her parent's transporter device.

And that was certainly bad, alright?

After all, she was getting frustrated.

She let out a shrill scream of frustration as she kicked the device in a mixture of that and anger.

"Thanks, I hate it, lun! How can I operate this thing if it just plain doesn't work?"

Lala usually didn't get this frustrated over something, so it was a rare sight for anyone who saw it...

Which was no one except for us, the author and the readers.

Suddenly, though, the transporter opened, as Lala paused...

And clapped her hands in excitement, as her antennae let off a bunch of electricity, as she was now happy (and excited) that said device worked.

She took a deep breath, and walked through the transporter's portal.

And what was on the other side...

Socks grunted, as he watched Rick and Miss Tickle save Harvey and Carol, as they had gotten kidnapped by Modran... again.

"Y'know, Socks..." Vinnie started, his brown eyes locking with Socks' green ones.

"Yes, Vinnie?" Socks asked.

"I don't think me and Carol are smirking out."

"You mean working out, right?"

"Yeh, that's what I mean." Vinnie rolled his eyes.

"She's a little too vapid for you, ain't she?" Socks responded, an eyebrow quirked.

"That... and she's too obsessed over Rick. It's a little scary."

Socks coughed, rubbing his nose.

"And you wanna break up with her? Break her heart?" Franklin interjected softly.

Vinnie and Socks looked over at Franklin.

"That's exactly it... sorry if that seems blue, Frankie." Vinnie answered, rather apologetic about the whole thing.

Franklin threw his hands up.

"My god, Vinnie, she's 16. She's allowed to have crushes." He responded incredulously.

Socks frowned, fiddling with his long, sable-coloured hair nervously.

"Yeah, and I think I'm allowed to have crushes, too."

Franklin and Vinnie looked at Socks, confused at Socks' comment.

"What do you mean?" Franklin asked.

Socks paused.

And then inhaled.

"Franklin, Vinnie... I don't know how to say this, but..."

He looked down, almost like he was ashamed to admit this...

"I'm a homosexual."

Vinnie looked at Franklin, smiling a bit.

Socks was confused by their lack of hostility.

"That's fine with us." Franklin responded.

"Yeah, that doesn't make us like you any less." Vinnie said, shrugging.

"So, what if you're a homosapien? You're still Socks, even if you like a different set of equipment then most guys."

Socks didn't want to explain to them that he just liked guys, not dicks.

"Thanks, guys." He smiled awkwardly.

As Peyton ported home, it was late, and he had gone through the day sluggishly in real life.

His parents were worried he wasn't getting enough sleep, but actually...

He was jealous that Tom had had a budding relationship with Sarah, and he had no one.

Not a woman.

Not a man.

No one.

He sat down on the bed, rubbing the side of his head.

What if someone had just walked in through his door, and he would instantly fall in love with them...?

Well...

It kinda came true, without the love part.

Lala walked into Peyton's room through a portal that just opened up.

Peyton looked up, as his eyes seemed to bug out of his head, as Lala's seemed to also bug out of hers.

They screamed, Peyton taking to the side of his bed taking to the wall, and Lala took to where she was.

"An alien!" They yelped simultaneously.

There was an awkward pause.

And then Peyton spoke first.

"Did someone send you to me...?" He said softly.

"Nice try, I'm a lesbian." Lala said, playfully.

Peyton couldn't parse the word "lesbian", and thought she meant "thespian".

"...You're an actor?"

Lala sighed, and facepalmed.

"Boy, you got a lot to learn, lun..." She sweatdropped.

When Socks arrived home, he laid on the bed, and was about to get out one of his favourite records to put it on.

When suddenly...

A portal opened up in his room.

Socks quickly (and carefully) shoved his Rick Springfield record back in its shelf, and then hid in the corner of the room.

And two unusual figures stepped out.

One was Peyton, a heavyset 16 year old with brown hair and green eyes.

The other was Lala, a small frail-looking (but definitely not frail herself) Samaani girl with teal eyes and hair, with pink and white streaks in it, and long antennae.

Socks stared at them.

Opened his mouth.

And then closed it again.

He pulled off his hat, whispering the lyrics to the Rick Springfield song "Over the World" in a raspy voice to try and protect himself.

There was an awkward pause between the three of them.

And then Peyton spoke.

"You... alright, dude?"

Socks grunted in response.

"Alright." Peyton responded matter-of-factly.

After they explained what they were doing there (Lala wanted to explore the universe and got here via portal, and Peyton wanted to tag along), Socks decided to tag along as well.

After all, he was part of the Adventurer's Club.

And if there was anything Socks liked...

It was adventure.

END CHAPTER ONE

Kinda a redone version of Socks and the Infinite Realms, but more... self indulgent this time.

Nothing wrong with being self indulgent, and if you say otherwise, you're wrong. xD

Just kidding, but not really. xD
