Prompt: A solo hunt goes bad. Saved by Castiel. Based on the My Heart Will Go On scene where Cas saves Sam and Dean from the Fate.

The trail of blood illuminated by the streetlight makes it easy for me to follow the creature that I thought had got away. Sliver knife in hand I make my way through the busted open door into an old diner. It's dark, quiet, too quiet. I swear mentally and move into the building after letting my eyes adjust to the darkness.

Moving silently towards the kitchen I look through the window in the double doors, all I can see is the outlines of the worktops and appliances and another pair of doors leading to a back room.

Pushing the door open with a slight squeak from the hinges I wince and swear under my breath at the sound. Moving faster now that I've alerted the monster, I head towards the double doors leading to the storeroom but I stop when I see the gas rings closest to the doors are lit and the air has a strange feel about it.

I curse and quickly turn to leave when the gas catches the naked flame and the bright orange glow and searing heat converge towards me. I close my eyes and raise my arms defensively, expecting pain but instead... A breeze. I open my eyes and staring back at me is none other than...

"Castiel?"

I'm confused and start to check myself. Looking at my arms for burns and patting yourself down. I stare at the angel in bewilderment before looking around noticing I'm under a tree in the park not far from where I was.

"Hello Miya" he says casually.

"Am I dead?"

Is the first thought that goes through my head followed by

"Where you following me?"

He looks a little bit flustered when I ask and he fumbles with his words, unable to string together a sentence. Only then do I realise he's holding my waist and the distance between us both is minimal.

"I... Uh..."

He lets me go and steps backwards realising that I'm now aware of how close he is and my confusion turns to a smile and I put my blade away grinning at him.

"You were"

"I was worried about you" he admits.

"My very own guardian angel" I say playfully as I move closer to him, closing the gap once more. He looks at me curiously as I straighten up his trenchcoat then look up into his blue eyes.

He's silent as your gaze meets his. The confusion that was on his face has vanished, replaced by a soft expression.

"I did not want you to get hurt"

"And I didn't"

My voice is soft as my hands hold onto his coat.

"Thanks to you"

I stand on my toes and place a gentle kiss on his lips, but before I can move away completely he has a hand wrapped around me again. My feet leave the floor for a second as he spins so my back is against the tree, his lips meet mine again deeply as his other hand holds my head, fingers entwined in my hair, as mine wrap around his neck.

He pulls away and looks at me with eyes full of an emotion I have never seen from the angel before and I just grin.

Right, so I wrote this a while ago as a drunk drabble. It was written in fourth person but I wasn't quite happy with how it sounded so I changed it to first person. So... Here you go. A bit of... What would it come under... Fluff? Haha
