Chapter 14: The Hero of Trans Rights, Ostrich Apocalyptica!
"I'm so sorry... I can't flippin' do this, Harv." Socks responded to Harvey, while he recalled his parents and their behavior towards him.
"Why?" Harvey asked, wondering why Socks was disgusted by it, as Harvey had thought this was normal.
"Harvey... this behavior between your parents, and you and your sister is not normal."
Harvey frowned, as Socks continued.
"You're living with parents that abuse you, Harv."
Harvey gasped, as he covered his mouth.
"Really?" He asked.
Socks didn't want to admit it, but he nodded.
He knew exactly what was going on, too.
He had gone through the exact same thing.
"What's a reasonable amount of the squad to send after these guys?"
Zonic scratched his chin thoughtfully, peering at Zally's glowing screen.
"That depends..." Zally tilted her head, looking over at Zonic.
"They're all gonna kill 'em one by one, anyways, so we'd better send 'em out all at once."
Zonic nodded.
"Honestly, considering the hooligans that joined that department, I wouldn't be surprised. Send 'em all out to die, Zally."
Zally nodded, messaging the remaining ones of Department 72419 to go out and fight the Milky Squad.
"Isn't this basically suicide for that department?" Zails asked Zonic, walking by.
Zonic said nothing in response.
He was just trying to oust the troublemakers from the Zone Cops, that's all.
In the middle of Prescott, Jess was worried.
Worried for Harvey...
And worried for her own life.
She had just run away from home, and the 12 year old was having a complete and utter panic attack.
What if her parents found her?
What if her glasses were broken by her mom again?
What if she got killed by her parents just running her down with their car?
So many questions went through Jess' mind.
And not enough time to answer them.
For she didn't realize...
She was surrounded.
And that's when she knew she was gonna die.
Socks was on a stroll through Prescott with the Milky Squad, when...
He spotted the Zone Cops, kicking at Harvey's poor little 12 year old sister Jess on the ground.
Harvey was horrified.
"Jessica!" He screamed, as he held an arm out.
"I gotta protect her! Please!"
Socks smirked, as a trans flag coloured light shone in his heart.
"I'll protect her."
One of the Zone Cops pulled out a gun, realizing Socks was there, as Socks rushed forth...
They aimed, and...
BANG!
A pink, blue and white pillar of light came from Socks, preventing him from getting shot in the head.
Eugene and Kaz looked at each other, nodding, and then transformed into Dove Angelic, and Eagle Astra, respectively.
"Socks, you flippin' maniac." Astra nodded, and then rushed forth.
Harvey was sobbing in fear, not having the bravery in his heart right now to save his sister.
But now... the battle had begun.
Socks raises his fist like a protestor, and yells "I'm not putting my head in the sand! Ostrich Apocalyptica, activate!"
His Ostrich Device appears, on an orange background, and then he slashes his Ostrich Card, as the Mission: Magic! logo appears, and then psychedelic colours (like the show's opening) swipe to the next scene.
Then, Socks appears in front of a huge version of the 1970's Filmation : logo, which is glowing purple.
The chevrons from the logo appear around him, twirling around in circles and glowing purple.
They then start flashing colours of the transgender flag, as a trans flag cape erupts from him, as he makes a pose like that of Hinata/Cure Sparkle in her transformation when she's wearing the doctor's coat.
The cape wraps around him, as his jacket, shirt and gloves appear in a burst of white, pink and baby blue light.
Then, his pants and shoes appear as his feet hit the ground.
After this, his black hair begins to shine in a baby blue colour and becomes longer then usual, tying itself up in a braid, and his hair colours itself a bright white, and his porkpie gets a bow with a skull on it.
His belt then appears, as his Ostrich Card and Device turns into a scythe.
He makes his pose (which is similar to that of Sailor Saturn's at the end of her PS1 transformation), and does his Speech.
"The Harbringer and Preventative Measure against the Apocalypse! Ostrich Apocalyptica!"
Battle 1: Cure Star VS Zikaru
Cure Star delivered a single kick to Zikaru's face, a kick to her solar plexus, a kick to her stomach, a haymaker to her back, and an uppercut to Zikaru's chin.
Zikaru was staggered aback by Cure Star's rapid attacks, and punched and kicked with futile effort.
Unlike Eugene, she couldn't go toe-to-toe with a Pretty Cure, as Cure Star flipped all around them.
Zikaru smirked.
"Ah, but I got a knife."
Zikaru then pulled out a knife, and slashed at Cure Star's hand.
Cure Star screamed out in pain, but yet... still kept fighting.
She hit her hand with her bleeding flat hand, and knocked the knife out of Zikaru's hand, roundhouse kicking her (ala the old Chuck Norris memes), sending Zikaru flying a few feet.
Zikaru landed on the ground with a very cartoony H-B style THUD sound effect, as stars floated around her head.
Zikaru basically got KNOCKED THE FLIP OUT!
Cure Star took her knife, and stashed it on the side of her Precure outfit, as she yelled for a medic.
Phoenix Aurora tended to her, as the battle continued.
Battle 2: Cure Milky VS Zaza
Zaza punched Cure Milky in the nose, and using her powers to throw her through a nearby tree.
Cure Milky got up, wiping her bleeding nose, and charged.
She dealt multiple kicks to Zaza's face, and then headbutted Zaza.
Zaza was startled, but still standing, and clipped some handcuffs onto her, changing her back to normal.
Battle 3: Eagle Will VS Zeyton
Eagle Will punched Zeyton in the face like that Nick Spencer gif, kicked him in the stomach, uppercutted his chin, slashed at them with his sword, and used the power of willpower to try and take him out.
Zeyton was still standing.
And Eagle Will got handcuffs clipped onto him, turning him back to normal.
Battle 4: Eagle Astra and Dove Angelic VS Ziller and Zeetle
As Ziller and Zeetle rushed forwards, Astra and Angelic did a team attack.
"Power of the dream realm, and the holy light of heaven! HEAVENLY DREAM!"
KERSSHHHHHHZAAAAAP!
Ziller and Zeetle were toasted, like a piece of bread having been too long in the toaster.
Astra went for a fistbump...
But Angelic was uber-confused.
Astra decided not to fistbump Angelic.
Battle 5: Phoenix Meta VS Zom and Zarah
Phoenix Meta had Zom in a headlock. He headbutted him in the nose, prompting Zom to get his eye poked out, and punched Meta in the mouth in response.
Zarah kicked him in the stomach, punched him in the back, and roundhouse kicked him, sending him flying.
Meta used his metafictional powers, zapping Zarah out of existence.
Meta then knocked Zom out with a spinning axe kick to his face.
Aurora said nothing at first, but did a thumbs down whilst he bandaged Cure Star's hand.
"CHEAP!" He shouted.
Battle 6: Ostrich Apocalyptica VS Zocks
Apocalyptica fought Zocks...
And pulverized him real flippin' quickly.
Ouch.
"That's why you don't mess with Trans Rights." Apocalyptica responded, smiling.
Zocks got up, and smiled.
"Did I forget to mention I have a twin brother...?"
Apocalyptica paused...
And then gasped as he got handcuffs put on him...
Turning him back to normal Socks.
Zable, the twin brother, smirked in response.
The battle seemed to be over...
But was it?
"I didn't do it!" Socks bawled, as he, Lala and Peyton was being taken away in handcuffs with lazer chains.
"Yeah, tell it to the judge." Zable said, holding his regular counterpart's arms behind his back.
Socks' flesh coloured eyes glowed pink, as he broke apart the handcuffs, turning back into Ostrich Apocalyptica.
"NO! I WILL NOT LOSE!"
The battle continues.
Battle 7: Ostrich Apocalyptica VS The Remaining Zone Cops
Ostrich Apocalyptica punched him in the mouth, knocking out some of Zable's teeth, and kneed him in the chin, and grabbed him and threw him into a tree.
He stared down the rest of the Zone Cops, taking deep, raspy breaths.
"LET THE APOCALYPSE RAIN DOWN UPON YOU!"
He twirled his scythe.
"APOCALYPTICA STORM!"
And then he used the scythe tip...
Putting it on the ground roughly...
As the Zone Cops got swallowed up by an Eldritch force.
"That's for hurting Harvey's sister, you jackbutts!"
Battle 8: Jess and Harvey vs Zarvey
But there was one Zone Cop remaining still...
Jess was shuddering as Harvey rushed forth, punching his Zone Cop counterpart in the chin.
Jess slowly got up...
And started throwing rocks at Zarvey, screaming high-pitched.
Zarvey was knocked out, and had a few cuts and bruises on his body from the rocks.
As the Milky Squad celebrated, Harvey was tending to his sister's injuries.
"Are you alright, Jessica?" He asked, frowning.
Jess had tears in her eyes, as she smiled.
"I... think I'm fine, Harv. Don't worry about it."
Harvey nodded, his eyes looking downcast.
He hugged her, holding her close.
"No one will come between us kids ever again. I promise you this, Jess."
Jess nodded, smiling a bit, tears still in her eyes.
Now... if only the Milky Squad could call the TSAB to deal with their abusive, rich parents.
The members of the Zone Cops Department 72419 were found and tried by the TSAB, and were guilty of numerous crimes, and got their badges taken away by Zonic.
They were all sentenced to 7 consecutive sentences of life in prison without parole.
Zikaru herself was found guilty of assault and battery, as well spreading propaganda for "The Paladin" at her previous job, whoever he may be.
She was sentenced to 10 years in prison and ordered to pay the Hoshina family 5 million dollars in restitution for cutting open Hikaru's hand.
Harvey had his former parents arrested, testifying against them for abusing him and his sister, and giving them such ridiculously bigoted views.
The Slott parents were found guilty of 4 counts of 1st degree murder, for murdering Harvey and Jess' siblings while they were not looking, and were sentenced to 4 consecutive life terms, plus 120 years for child abuse, smuggling drugs, as well as other, more "minor" things.
Harvey and Jess were adopted into the Milky Squad, them essentially becoming the new children of the Beetle Bailey characters in particular, so they had about six dads now.
All was well... for now.
