Chapter 20: Are You Feeling Lucky? Enter Peacock Roulette!

Last time, on Milky Squad Adventures...

Suddenly, a portal opened...

And Nanoha came out, looking displeased.

"John Avery Whittaker." She started, frowning.

Everyone turned to look at him.

"You are under arrest."

The Milky Squad gasped, as Nanoha listed off Mr. Whittaker's charges.

"John Avery Whittaker, you are under arrest for the murders of Suzu and Morrie Rydell, arson, high treason, and conspiracy against the TSAB."

Eugene and Connie were horrified to hear this.

Whit?

Their Whit had done these things?

Connie shook slightly, as Nanoha took Whit away in magical handcuffs.

"Whit... what have you become?" She said in a soft, shaky voice.

"What do you mean, Klay's trying to quit?" Tom asked Lala about Klay.

"This is his punishment, isn't it?"

Lala nodded.

"Yes, Tom... and I'm wondering why he's quitting so early..."

"It's me, isn't it?" Connie asked, as the two looked at her.

"What do you mean?" Tom and Lala asked Connie at once.

"I mean, I demanded to see Eugene, and that probably stressed him out..."

Tom shook his head.

"Klay doesn't get stressed. He doesn't know the consequences of his actions, nor will he ever know them."

Lala looked at him, confused.

"That's why he's behind a desk. The man's dangerous if left to his own devices." Tom continued, stating it as if it's a fact.

Lala nodded, rolling her eyes.

"Then we gotta prevent him from quitting. He has to serve his punishment. I don't want the TSAB getting at him like they did with Whit."

"But Whit did horrible things, didn't he?" Connie asked Lala.

"Yeah." Lala nodded.

"But I could sense good within both of them... for Klay, it's more buried down within him, but still in there."

Cosmo walked up to them, lowering his shades.

"Hey. What the heck is going on, kids?"

Tom looked at Cosmo.

"Klay quit when he's not supposed to."

Cosmo's eyes widened.

As he rushed off.

"Son of a-!" They could hear him shout.

Meanwhile, Eugene was tinkering with a rainbow stone, given to him by the Colmares of the dimension Arda-86 (aka Crossover Chaos by Spiroucore and KittyofNutty).

It had belonged to someone of another fanfictional dimension that wasn't of the Colmares' own dimension, and it controlled his powers, and his emotions.

It'd be criminal to release who it was this early in this story, though. ;P

Anyways, Eugene dropped the rainbow stone onto the ground accidentally, as it had slipped out of his slippery, oil-covered hands.

He frowned as it shattered into four pieces on the ground.

"My God..." He said in horror.

"There goes our new ally's will to live."

Klay had run off to the world of M*A*S*H, trying to find a break in his life.

However, ending up in the Korean War, at the 4077th, wasn't exactly going to be a break.

Klay had gotten shot at by North Koreans, and had fallen unconscious, causing the 4077th to take him, and do an operation on him to try and stablize this interdimensional stranger.

Klinger was more confused on his outfit, then anything else.

"Where'd this guy come from?" Klinger asked Hawkeye, frowning as he motioned towards the fuzzy jacket Klay had always worn.

"And why is he wearing that outfit in the middle of a war? In summer heat, nonetheless!"

Hawkeye was trying to extract the bullets out of Klay.

"I could say the same for your own outfits, Klinger."

Klinger looked offended.

"The Klinger Collection is a bonafide American treasure! How dare you insult it like that!"

Hawkeye rolled his eyes, as BJ groaned.

Klinger then looked at Klay's pink glasses.

"I do admit he has good taste in glasses, even if it's something I've never seen back home in Toledo."

"That's nice, Klinger." BJ responded, who then told a nurse to get him some thread for the suture.

Klinger put on the glasses, smiling wide.

"I feel fancy."

Margaret Houlihan glared at him.

"Yeah, and you look silly. Get your gown on, Klinger. This kid is too injured to leave here."

Klinger nodded, putting the glasses on a stool, and then went off to put on his surgical gown.

At least Cosmo looked like he was supposed to be there, being from the same general era as the one M*A*S*H took place in.

"Dangit!" He shouted, trying to dodge bullets.

"I wasn't trained enough for this!"

It's true.

Cosmo definitely wasn't trained enough for this.

Sgt. Snorkel was always too busy beating the crap out of Beetle to actually train his soldiers correctly.

Suddenly, the Koreans who were shooting at him looked up...

And one North Korean got punctured in the neck by a shuriken, getting killed almost instantly.

And one was coming for Cosmo.

A red and black light shone in Cosmo's heart.

And a red and black pillar of light erupted from him, causing the North and South Koreans to panic.

Cosmo raises his fist like a protestor, and yells "Fancy Like a Peacock! Peacock Roulette, Activate!"

And then, Cosmo's Peacock Device appears on a red and black background, and then he slashes his Peacock Card across the device, making the Beetle Bailey logo appear on screen, as camo patterns take up the whole screen.

Red and black lightning shoots out of his Device, and strikes him, as it starts making shapes like the number seven.

He strikes the ground, as he starts running on what looks to be a roulette wheel. He kicks a silver ball, giving him his boots.

He does an acrobatic spin, and the electricity clings to his body, giving him a rather Las Vegas-y pattern on his body.

His hair turns longer, and red and black, and ties itself into a ponytail with a bow, with a Las Vegas-style number seven on the bow's middle.

He rips the electricity away to reveal his jacket and shirt.

More lightning strikes him, making his pants and the wings on his shoes.

He then makes a "rolling dice" motion on his head, as a fedora with a bow with the seven symbol appears on his head.

His Peacock Device and Card turns into a giant axe, as he twirls it around.

He does his speech and pose.

"Roll the dice, make sure lightning strikes twice! Peacock Roulette!"

Cosmo stood there, in his pose, as the Koreans, both sides, shrieked and ran away.

Cosmo looked around, making a gesture like that one gif of the fat guy with the ponytail, suit and briefcase.

He had to find Klay...

But...

He spotted a shuriken in a dead North Korean's neck.

And pulled it out.

On the side, it had the symbol of the Uchihas.

But he didn't know it...

Yet.

END CHAPTER TWENTY

Next time, on Milky Squad Adventures...

"Klinger, you were meant to be watching the patient! What do you mean he's escaped?!"
