Code Xana Another World Episode 5: Continue to Continue
Author: James the Lesser/The Bunnyman
Disclaimer: I Do Not Own These Characters! Moonscoop Does! Actually, I own most of these characters, I made them up, but the place and the settings and the back round stuff is Moonscoop.
I never finished this... IDK if I will. I was rererererereading and... yeah. Might do the "They go, fight, win, return" to skip Lyoko action like I'd been doing on other series.
After another attack, Skitz is staying behind to talk with Dante. "That was fun. Ark got to fly again and I got to find a new power."
He frowns while talking with her through the monitor. "Yes, that was... fun. I am not sure that is the correct word."
Skitz smiles back at Dante. "Okay, for you it was risky. I mean, if Ark lost his wings while flying you over the Mountain Sector it would have been bad."
"Your brother would be missed and you would need an explanation."
She rolls her eyes. "And you, dummy. You can deactivate towers like Aelita did."
"As can Sanne."
"Yes, but she's not trapped on Lyoko. She can be taken by Xana at any time making you very important to us." She frowns at his silence. "You are. I know you're Xana's son but you're not Xana. The others know that as well. Sanne treats you well, right? When she's working on, this." She motions her hands to the control panel.
"Yes. She may not trust me but she is not unkind to me. She lists off ideas and I try and hone them to be more workable."
"See? She's warming up to you. Now just have to get Krieger to not stare daggers at you and you'll have all of us as friends." She smiles.
"He does seem to not like me."
"I think he's a little jealous."
"Jealous?"
"Yes. You spend a lot of time with Sanne. If she's here, she's not with him."
"I see. Perhaps she should spend less time with me then?"
She shakes her head. "No, she can't. We need to stop Xana."
The screen closes.
"Dante?" No response. "Hey, I don't blame you for that." Still no response. "I'm sorry. I, I don't blame you, I swear. I can't imagine what it would be like to be locked up. My parents... Weren't strict. Not in the way most parents are. Sure, no drugs and stuff but we were free to do what we want. Explore hobbies and stuff without asking for permission."
Dante continues to remain silent but listens to Skitz talk about her parents and her life.
The next day, after class, Skitz finishes her homework and checks the time. "Krieger and Sanne are training today and I don't want to mess with them. Ark is with... someone." She frowns. "I guess I'll go see what Dante is up to. Maybe practice sending the vehicles to Lyoko."
I use to hang out with Krieger a lot more before the Super Computer was found. And my brother. Hell, he seems to be going out on more dates since we found it. Did finding it scare him? Thinking Xana might get us one day... I've had nightmares too. Sanne coming here...
"I'm not blaming her for this. Her coming here has been the best thing that's ever happened for all of us. She's our friend and when she wasn't here our group wasn't complete." She sighs. "Working on the Super Computer will distract me." She smiles. "Dante will distract me."
Ark is hanging out with... "Hey, Sora, have you seen the new Freedom World movie?"
"Not yet." She looks at him making him take a step back. "Let me guess, you'll take me?"
"Uh, yes."
"Like you took my roomie to a different movie?"
He smirks. "Hey, I didn't feel a spark with her. Don't blame me for looking for who might spark for me."
"I doubt you're looking for a girl to, spark, for you."
He smiles at her.
Her glare softens.
He winks.
Now she smiles. "What the hell, popcorn and soda too?"
"I'll even throw in a box of candy if you want."
She laughs and nods.
"Awesome."
The two leave to go to the mall. Unaware someone is watching...
Sanne and Krieger are fighting.
"Hai!" Her kick misses.
"Nice try!" He tries a palm thrust but she steps back quickly and only takes a glancing blow. "Good dodge."
"Dodge this!" She leaps at him, catching him off guard, tackling him to the ground.
He quickly recovers, flips her on to her back, and pins her. "Tackling isn't allowed in a martial arts tournament."
"This isn't a tournament." She kisses him on the lips. "You win. What do you want?"
"A weekend with you."
"Oh." Her eyes shift to the right. "I don't know if I can do that."
He leans in to her ear. "Just one weekend without you running off." He starts to kiss her on the neck when they hear a door open.
He is up on his feet, holding a hand out to help her up, before Jim can see what they were doing.
"Oh, you're practicing." Jim claps his hands together. "Good! But I need some help. I need someone to hold a ladder for me while I climb up and get some of the futballs off the roof that someone decided to kick up there."
"You could hold the ladder and I can climb up there."
"No, Krieger. I can't allow a student to do that. If you fell you would be hurt and I can't let that happen. Understand?"
"Yes, Jim." Krieger turns to Sanne. "I'll be right back. Do some more stretches and get ready for another round." He smiles as he looks her over unable to say what he wants because Jim is there.
"No way are you two leaving me behind." She follows the two out.
Skitz is practicing sending vehicles to Lyoko, sending the Overboard to the Desert Sector, when Dante appears in a screen. "Skitz? I feel pulsations."
"Oh, an attack." She looks at the keyboard. "This button." She presses it, looking up at the monitor, and sees the Super Scan appear. "Ha, got it right the first time!"
"You did. Where is it?"
She glares as the scan finds the activated Tower. "Mountain Sector."
Dante tilts his head as he looks at her. "Why are you mad? Did I do something?"
"No. I just sent the Overboard to the Desert Sector. I need to, unsend it, then resend it. If I remember correctly..."
Her fingers move around the keyboard. "I think I did it. It should be at your Tower."
He looks out and sees it. "It's here. Good job, Skitz."
"Woohoo!" She pumps her fist. "Now to send a different vehicle. You want the Overbike or the Overwing?"
"Overbike is faster."
"Okay, and..." She looks up and sees the screen change. "Did it work?"
"Yes. Now, make sure you call the others."
"Oh, yeah." Almost forgot to do that. "I'll send the vehicles first while it is still fresh in my mind. Let me know if they make it."
Ark and Sora leave the theater unaware of the danger they are in. Ark is a conscientious theater goer and has his phone turned off.
So as a black mist attacks the sprinkler system and sucks the chemically treated foam out of it, Ark has no idea.
As the foam monster forms, people scream.
Ark turns towards the screams and sees the foam monster form as a ball with a dozen tentacles. "Uh," He takes a second to think. "Sora, run."
Her eyes are wide as she stares at the monster. "Run? Why? It's some stupid stunt."
"It's not a stunt."
"How do you," She can't finish as he runs towards the monster. "Huh. Never had a guy run away from me before."
The monster swings at Ark who slides under the tentacle. On his way up, he grabs a cheap knick knack off of a counter and throws it at the monster.
It passes through the monster out the other side.
Three security guards show up unsure what to do.
"Uh, stun gun?"
"Pepper spray?"
"Call the real cops?"
The three look at each other and nod as they struggle to get their phones out to call for help.
Sanne sees the text from Skitz. Unfortunately, she and Krieger are still helping Jim.
"Grandpa, how many more balls are up there?"
"Only a couple more. I swear there weren't this many last time." He finds a book. "Huh, this isn't a Kadic book, is it?"
Opening it, he sees it is a diary. "Oh, this is private. I better return it to the student." He looks and finds the name. "Huh, wonder why she threw this up here." He hangs on to it and kicks a ball off the roof.
Sanne shows the text to Krieger. "We need to hurry."
"We can't leave now. Jim needs me to hold the ladder."
"Yes, you need to hold the ladder." She looks up at the roof edge. "Tell him I had to use the facilities." She takes off so she can help stop Xana's attack.
Ark keeps an arm over his mouth as the foam monster tries to get in through his mouth and nose. Blinded by foam in his eyes, the floor slick with foam, he can't run.
"Leave him alone!"
Sora's tackle surprises him and he can't brace himself in time for when he slams in to the floor.
"Are you okay? What is that thing and why is it ignoring everyone but you?"
His response is interrupted by a coughing fit.
She sees the monster swinging at them and rolls Ark out of the way.
Skitz, and Dante, are near the activated Tower and see the three Mega Tanks. "Dante, hide."
"Of course. What about you? You can't take all three of them at once."
"I don't want to do this alone but the others never answered their phones or texts."
Hovering above the monsters on the Overboard, Skitz tries to think of a plan. "I could really use the other's help right about now."
Sanne hurries down the sewer hoping she can make it in time. The attack wasn't at the school and it wasn't Skitz so it must be Ark. Alone, without the others there to help him, it could be...
"I can't think like that. He'll make it."
At the Mall...
The monster lifts three tentacles up, forming one larger tentacle, and starts to swing down on Ark and Sora.
Both are hurt, covered in foam, unable to get off of the floor.
It slams down into them, covering with more foam.
Ark gasps for air and as he does, foam gets in his mouth.
The monster forms more tentacles in to a larger one, ready for another blow.
"Tower Deactivated."
Dante watches the screens fall around him.
Sanne makes it to the Factory and takes the elevator down to the Control Room.
She sees the Super Scan is not finding any activated towers. "Dante, Skitz? What happened?"
"Woohoo! I did it! I did it!" Skitz, with no claws left, spins on the Overboard. "I flew between two of the Mega Tanks as they fired and they took each other out. The last one took all of my claws but I did it."
"Wow, that's awesome." Sanne leans back in her chair. Relaxed, now that the attack is over. "Your brother tell you what the attack was?"
"No. And he never answered his phone. Like you and Krieger. Were you two too busy making out to answer your phone?"
"No, we were helping my grandpa and couldn't get away." Sanne gets her phone out and calls Ark.
"Sanne? You did it."
"Yes. Are you okay?"
"Uh," Wiping at his face again unable to get all of the foam off, he hears coughing. "I think so." He pulls the phone away from his face. "Sora, you alive?"
"Alive and," She coughs again. "And well. If I can get the taste of that foam out of my mouth I will be doing a lot of better."
He brings the phone back to his ear. "We're alive and well. The mall is a bit of a mess but no one got hurt too badly."
"Then no return needed." Good. It worked before but who knows if I messed anything up since then. "I'll let your sister know and bring her back."
"Good thing you and the others made it. I'm not sure how much longer I could have gone." Ark hangs up.
"So," He sees the look on Sora's face. "That was something your friends did?"
"Oh, uh, no." How do I explain this to her? "Just a minute."
He texts Sanne to launch a return because the police showed up and were questioning him. No need to let them know about Sora.
Sanne reads the text, and sighs. "Well, it is only one more. I can set it for, three hours? I think I can make it only three hours." She types in what she needs to and launches the return.
Skitz is confused. "She just said my brother was fine." Looking around, she sees she is in the sewer. "I don't really need to work on sending the vehicles. I got that figured out." She smiles. "But Dante will keep me company while the others are busy." She continues her way to the Factory.
A/N Kinda short, but been a looong time. I rebooted Code Xana twice, finished the one reboot, but not this one. And now I'm continuing it. For how long? No idea. Next update? Also no idea. But will be updated when it does. Hope you enjoy!
