Shades Of Gray-Ch 6
Danny looked at Penelope and said, "so how far along are you because you look like you're ready to pop"?, Penelope rubbed her stomach and said, "almost 7 1/2 months". He shook his head and said, "I don't understand people", Penelope said, "what don't you understand Danny"?, he said, "why you would chose to bring a child into this world, that's what I don't understand".
Penelope said, "this baby was created out of love and Derek and I want to have this baby, love and protect him or her and love them with all of our hearts". He chuckled and said, "awwww isn't that sweet, it's just too bad that all three of you are going to die isn't it"?, Penelope said, "you don't have to do this, you could let me go".
He shook his head and said, "nahhhhh, what fun would that be, I need you here as bait for the others", Penelope said, "I don't know you and you don't know me so we are innocent in this, we've done nothing wrong". Danny said, "I know all about you and your computer genius, I know that you had a big part in me getting put in jail".
She said, "Danny I" and he said, "shut up, please just sit there and be quiet", she blew out a deep breath and nodded her head yes as Danny got up and started pacing back and forth in front of her. Penelope closed her eyes and said to herself, "please find us, please find us" as she gently stroked her baby bump.
After the jet landed the team was met on the tarmac by locals and the mountain/cave rescue squad, Derek looked at Reid and said, "alright so does everybody know the plan"?, the leaders nodded their heads and one said, "we do sir, now all we have to do is get there and then let us take the lead".
Hotch said, "alright then let's head out" and they all climbed into their SUVs and headed away from the jet, Derek sighed and said, "hang on baby girl, hang on, we're coming, we're coming". Meanwhile in the cave Penelope sat staring at Danny, after a few minutes he said, "WHAT, WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT"?, she said, "I I I need you use the bathroom".
He laughed and said, "alright, you can go right there" and he pointed to a place behind a huge rock, she stood up and started walking toward the rock, she really wasn't wanting to use the bathroom in front of him but her son or daughter was bouncing on her bladder and right now she really didn't have much choice in the matter.
Danny stood leaned against the wall and said, "so tell me something", Penelope said, "tell you what"?, he said, "tell me why you do what you do"?, Penelope said, "you mean with the FBI"?, he said, "yeah". She said, "that's easy" and then she spent the next few minutes explaining things to him.
What Danny didn't know was that she was taking her time and explaining everything so that she could stall and hopefully give her team enough time to find her. When she was finished a few minutes later Danny said, "so you really had no choice in the matter, it was either work for them or go to jail"?, she nodded her head and said, "yeah, pretty much".
He said, "so really you're no better than me"?, she said, "I never killed anybody like you did", she knew those words were a mistake the second they left her mouth. Danny stalked closer and said, "what did you say"?, she said, "I I I, I didn't mean it, I'm sorry", he slapped her hard across the face and said, "if I didn't need you I'd kill you right now".
She said, "p please, please don't, I'm sorry, it's just that even though I haven't always been a good person I've never intentionally hurt anybody before, I guess I should have put it that way". Danny grabbed her by the shoulders and said, "yeah I guess you should have", she then winced in pain as he pushed her down in her chair.
Danny laughed and said, "don't worry everything will be all over with soon", Penelope said, "m m meaning what"?, Danny leaned down in her face and said, "meaning that in a few minutes you won't be alive to be a problem for me or anybody else", She wiped away the tears that were streaming down her face as she watched him turn around and walk back over to where he had been standing.
Penelope took a deep breath and said, "w w why did you change your MO"?, Danny said, "ahhhh you mean why didn't I stuff airplane parts down their throats"?, she nodded her head yes and he said, "well that would have made it too easy for you to figure out who I was now wouldn't it Penelope"?, she bit down on her lip and said, "I guess it would".
He sighed and looked down at his watch and said, "soon agent Morgan, soon you and your family will pay for destroying my life and then my life of freedom can truly begin".
