Arrest those two!.
Uh...I don't think that's a good idea sir. Why don't we just shoot them? One officer asked the chief of the police.
You know what, why the He** not? The cheif agreed.
Sky Harley Quinn dove in front of her pudding to protect her but Megs Joker didn't want her to do that.
No no please no Harley I'll take the bullets instead.. I'll be fine I swear,
she fibbed before walking in front of Harley herself instead.
The cops shot Megs Joker and it was a direct hit!.
Seeing Megs getting shot like that, Sky ended up regaining her senses and her memories of herself and Meg!.
MEG! I screamed in horror.
Megs Joker gasped out painfully before collapsing on the hard cold ground, still alive but only just and probably only for 4 more minutes.
She had 6 blood leaking bullet wounds on her body.
I removed my jester cap and took off my contact lenses and looked at Megs Joker. Meg? Meg? Can you hear me?!
Megs weakly opened up her eyes as a rill of blood ran down from her mouth.
Sk-sk- Sky?.
I felt myself crying in agony.
I- I've done terrible.. Things I.. remember now, Megs shivered as a tear came to her own eye.
...Meg? Is it really you friend? I asked her.
Yes- yes Ye- uhh (groan) Megs felt herself slipping away but used all her strength to stay alive for just a bit longer.
Oh! Meg! It is you! I said in tears...
*then the two girls are at the hospital, but Meg's condition is worse*
The doctor had a look and felt her heart and checked her pulse.
I'm afraid she's slipping away she's just lost too much blood, he said looking gravely at Sky.
NO! It...It can't be! Sky said in bitter tears...
Megs weakly looked up at her good friend.
Her heart rate monitor was still beeping.. but slower then before.
Sky please tell everyone that I am truly sorry for all the deaths and pain I've caused so many people.. I don't want to go to hell.
I...I promise Meg...I promise...I told her while crying. I...I forgive you Meg...
Megs gave Sky a sweet smile as she reached out to touch her hand.
I reached out my hand out as well and held Meg's hand.
Beep.. Beep.. Beep.. Beep...
Beep..., went the heart rate machine.
The doctor watched it, feeling a bit sad himself.
I gave Megs one last smile to comfort her.
The heart rate monitor is starting to slow, the doctor said.
Meg's hand slowly came to rest on her hospital bed.
You've.. Been.. A wonderful friend Sky I'll try and.. and vi- visss-uhhh, Meg lay her head back.
(heart rate monitor)
beep... Beep... Beep...
the dreaded flat lining was not far away now.
Megs shut her eyes as she was unconscious for a few seconds then.. Beeeeeeeeeeep.
In that moment, I knew she was gone. I put my head down and said Meg... to myself in tears.
Sky was too sad to respond to the noise.
Meg's spirit that was invisible to Sky and anyone else left her body then and stood beside poor Sky, placing a ghostly hand on her shoulder.
I wish she could see me, it said.
Sky put her hands on her head an wept loudly.
Sky felt a cool breeze around her then.
It was Megs trying to let her know she was there still.
Surely Sky would feel her presence.
Sky felt confused and looked around.
The breeze around Sky appeared to be speaking to her which she found kind of spooky.
Skyyy skyyyy, it seemed to say.
M-Meg? I asked, having a feeling she's somehow still here.
Skyyyy, it whispered again.
When she was alive one of Meg's biggest hopes when she passed on was to reincarnate as a cat or dog and who's to say that she would not do that.
Meg! Meg, can you hear me?!
Her spirit soon left the hospital, but silently promised Sky that she would come back to her no matter what form.
Meg...Thank you...I said to her in the winds.
(A few weeks later after Meg's funeral)
Sky deeply missed Megs and always would but she had to carry on with her life still but she never forgot her friend
one day then Sky heard a sound coming from outside her front door.
Oh? What is it? I asked to myself as I went to the door.
Sky to her great surprise saw a little brown and white puppy sitting on her doorstep.
Oh? A puppy? I wonder what it's doing here? I said to myself.
The pup which was a border collie one wagged its little tail happily already liking Sky for some reason.
Its most striking feature was its beautiful deep blue eyes, a rare feature in dogs.
Hmmmmmm...I wonder where the pup came from...but it sure is cute.
Sky picked the puppy up to bring into her home and quickly saw that it was a girl.
Ooooo! A Girl puppy!
Sky said in excitement.
She could only think of one name to give this little ball of fur.
And that name was Megs.
After a lost friend of mine. I said to myself.
The puppy considering who she really was wagged her tail very fast and barked and whined joyfully.
Oh? You like that name? I asked the pup with a smile.
The puppy barked again and again.
She was trying to tell her something.
Sky guessed that she wanted to go back on the ground.
Sky put the pup down and said Ok. What is it you're trying to tell me?
(The pups point of view)
I started looking around, trying to find something,
anything that would tell Sky instantly who I really am despite my canine body.
Are you hungry? I asked the puppy.
(The pups point of view again)
I ignored that reply as I gazed up at a photo frame of me and Sky together.. Only problem was it was sat up on a high surface.
Sky saw the puppy looking at the special photo and decided to show it to her.
You see this Meg? I named you after this girl. I pointed to Megs picture.
The puppy whimpered softly and put a gentle paw on Meg's photographed face.
Huh? What's wrong Meg?
The puppy whined and did it again as she looked long and hard at the photograph with intensity.
Sky: Do you want to see her? I'm afraid she's gone now. I said in sadness...
The puppy getting desperate then grabbed the photo frame with her mouth from Sky's hand and placed it on the floor and put a paw on it again.
The pup stared up at her with bright eyes and panting with her little pink tongue.
Sky: What's wrong? You keep placing your paw over Meg like if... Sky's eyes then widened. Wait! You're... that Megs?
Megs looked up at Sky, whined and gave a short howl.
Megs...it really is you! I said to the puppy!
Meg's blue eyes appeared to be shimmering with happiness she just wanted to leap into Sky's arms and nuzzle her.
Oh...Meg...you're back I knew you'd come back! I said, crying tears of happiness as I opened my arms wide.
Megs whimpered and whined and nuzzled Sky like she wanted to.
If puppies could cry like humans then she was certainly doing that.
Sky gave Meg a gentle hug. Welcome back Megs. I said, crying softly with a smile on her face.
Megs gave her friend a doggy kiss on the cheek it was so great to be alive again and with Sky.
I giggled. Oh Megs. I said in happiness.
And so Megs lived on again as Sky's dog, almost never leaving her side she was certainly more intelligent then the average canine with no one else knowing who was in her other life.
As for Kate she was taken into intenstive surgery and stayed there for nearly two whole days after all that she was more or less restored back to her completely normal self albeit with a few mental and lots of psychical scars left.
Her and her mother left the town soon after that and got back on with their lives.
