Shades Of Gray-Ch 8
Derek lowered his gun and said, "listen to me Danny, you do not want to hurt my wife and child", Danny smirked and said, "oh but I do, I want you to be as miserable as I am, as I have been since the day you caused me to go to prison". Derek said, "it wasn't me that sent you to prison Danny, you did that to yourself the second you killed your baby brother".
Penelope started doing her Lamaze breathing as another contraction hit, she said, "I need to lay down, I need to" and Danny pushed the gun into her temple hard and said, "what you need to do is shut up". Derek said, "this baby is coming regardless to if you want it to or not, you have no control over that".
Danny laughed and slid the gun down to her stomach and said, "ohhhh I believe that I have more control than you think", Hotch said, "Danny please don't hurt her, let us take her and get her some help". Danny said, "nahhhhh, she's going to stay with me and it's not going to be long before none of you are going to matter".
Hotch said, "how about if you let Penelope go and let me take her place"?, Danny said, "no, I don't want you to take her place, what I want is for you to all drop your guns". Dave said, "we're not going to do that son", Danny screamed, "DON'T CALL ME SON, I'M NOT YOUR SON, YOU ARE NOT MY FATHER".
Dave said, "easy Danny, easy", Danny said, "don't tell me what to do, I'm in control here, not you, me and I say that it's time for Penelope and her bastard to die". Derek said, "wait, wait, wait, how about if you let me take her place, you let my wife go and you let me take her place, you can do whatever you want to do to me".
Penelope shook her head and said, "no Derek, no", Derek said, "I'll do whatever it takes to keep you and our baby safe", Danny said, "awww how touching but I say no to you too Derek". Derek took a step closer and said, "please let me take her place", Danny said, "I said no, now stop walking" as he pushed the gun into Penelopes stomach.
Hotch held up his hand and said, "nobody move", Danny said, "good boy", Penelope said, "I need to sit down" and her legs started shaking and Danny said, "you're going to do what I tell you to do Penelope and I say that you stay here". Derek said, "if you hurt her I'll" and Danny laughed and said, "you'll do what, what will you do agent Morgan" as Penelope winced in pain as the hardest contraction yet hit her.
Derek and the others knew that if Penelope and the baby stood a chance of getting out of that cave alive that they were going to have to do something and do it fast. Danny said, "alright I want you to all lower your guns and do it now", Derek glanced over his shoulder and saw Hotch nod his head in agreement".
Everybody started slowly lowering their guns, Penelope knew that she had to do something and do it fast because she knew it wouldn't be long before the baby would be born. Danny relaxed for a few seconds and when Penelope sensed it she grabbed Dannys hands and pushed them up and Derek ran toward them.
Danny and Penelope were struggling over the gun, Danny said, "you're gonna pay for that" as he got the upper hand, he was able to get his finger on the trigger. Seconds later the air filled with the sounds of gunshots, Derek screamed, "NOOOOOO PENELOPEEEEEE" as he watched her fall to the ground with the stomach of her clothes covered in her own blood.
