On Today's Episode: The spies continue their journey through cyberspace, fixing the signal towers and battling the infection spread by Lady Dragon and Lumiere. However, the infection seems to be getting worse and worse with each sector the spies visit, forcing the team to get creative in their takedown of the virus. And what exactly does the "core virus" have in store if and when it's found?

Episode 2: Copy & Paste

2:08 PM – W.O.O.H.P. Datascape, Sector E

"Are we there yet?" Clover chastised.

"Yes, Clover, we're here," Sam groaned at Clover's impatience.

"Wow, I only had to ask once," Clover quipped.

The spies saw that more blobs were all over the place. Some were even gnawing on whatever they could.

"And just as I thought, the infection's worse in this sector. They're getting pretty ballsy..." Nick deduced.

"Whoa, it looks like these ones are taking on all kinds of different shapes..." Alex noted.

"Just when you think you've seen everything," Mat remarked.

"Tell me about it," Nozomi replied.

"And what the heck is THAT one?!" Haruka exclaimed.

A couple blobs merged with each other and eventually formed into a humanoid figure wearing motorcycle gear. Though many of the spies didn't recognize it, Nick and Haruka definitely did.

"Oh, you've got to be kidding me!" Nick chastised.

"You know this one, too?" Bridget asked.

"It seems like our villains have been reading up on some of our exploits," Nick quipped. "This guy was a former NASCAR driver who tried to force a bunch of other racers to try his 'patented' death course. Remember that one, Haruka?"

"I was trying to forget being strapped to that motorcycle," Haruka sighed. "I'm no stuntwoman."

"Well, one thing's for sure, bro," Mat stated. "You've been around more blocks than we have."

"No disagreements on that," Britney added.

There was certainly no different vibe from everyone else. Before long, Sam's X-Powder chirped. "Hello?"

"Hello, spies," Jerry replied as his visage appeared. "How's the mission going?"

"Weird," Melissa answered.

"Now we know what Alex and May had to go through saving Nick before," Bridget quipped.

"And it's wacky, to say the least," Dawn went on.

"I've just gotten a notice that Marco Lumiere has also broken out of the W.O.O.H.P. Containment Facility," Jerry told the spies.

"We ran into him ourselves already," Mat told him.

"But I found something to analyze, and sending to you now," May replied, sending a strange golden liquid to Jerry via her X-Powder.

"Thank you," Jerry quipped. "I'll have an analysis a little later."

The creature pounded the ground to get the spies' attention as Jerry's visage disappeared.

"We didn't forget this dude," Mat remarked.

With that, he and Sam whipped out their Wind Tunnel 9000s to deflect the shot the creature shot at them.

"I don't think so!" Sam proclaimed and both fired.

"Allow me," Nick added and fired up a psychic shot.

"RiCO, won't your power help as well?" Clover asked.

"Good thinking, Clover," RiCO remarked.

More virus blobs converged on the creature, eventually forming into a motorcycle for the creature to ride.

"Of course!" Haruka groaned.

"Here's the thing, though," Nick stated. "I have an advantage that I didn't have when we faced this guy before."

Nick raised his hand as the creature charged forward, firing a few psychic bolts to blast the motorcycle out from underneath the creature.

This didn't deter the creature, however, as it raised its hand, creating more virus blobs around it that phase-shifted into smaller motorcycles that all launched themselves towards the spies at high speeds, forcing them to scatter in different directions.

"Okay, that was just rude!" Clover shouted.

Nick quickly raised a psychic barrier to shield the spies from more flying motorcycles, occasionally peeking out to fire a few blasts at the creature in hopes of exposing its viral core.

"All right, motorcycle man, follow the dancing birdies," Nick quipped, flying up into the air to perform a small bombardment of psychic blasts.

The creature stumbled back before two more blobs began to circle around him, phase-shifting into large motorcycle tires to protect it.

"Is it me, or are these things getting smarter the worse the infection in an area is?" Alex groaned.

"Let me soften him up for you guys," Bridget proclaimed. "Sonic Mode, online!"

The creature drove forward on its motorcycle in an attempt to mow down the spies, but Bridget was much faster in Sonic Mode, leaning slightly to the left as she charged so she could punch the creature in the face and knock it off of its motorcycle, which RiCO quickly vaporized with an anti-viral beam.

Bridget wasn't done yet, however, zipping in close to the creature and clapping her Sonic Castanets together, unleashing a booming sonic shockwave that forced the creature back...

...and made its mass quiver and attempt to separate, exposing its viral core.

"The core's exposed!" Bridget exclaimed. "Blast this thing to hell, RiCO!"

"You read my mind," RiCO giggled, firing another anti-viral beam to strike the creature's viral core, instantly deleting it and any of the blobs attached to it. "Virus eliminated!"

"You were right about the infection getting ballsier as we keep going," May quipped as the spies regrouped. "First a giant pig-cow hybrid, them a freaky motorcycle dude? Who knows what else we might be facing by the end of this? I mean, what, are we going to be fighting Godzilla sometime in the future?!"

"Let's not jinx ourselves, okay, May?" Britney stated.

"It shouldn't be much longer to get to this sector's signal tower," RiCO proclaimed. "Let's keep moving, everybody!"

After crossing over a rather cool-looking bridge, the group eventually reached the signal tower, once again crawling with virus blobs and clouds of infection that RiCO quickly eliminated.

"Do you do this kind of thing often, RiCO?" Sam asked.

"What, the taking out viruses thing?" RiCO replied as she moved to reactivate the signal tower. "Yeah, it's one of my duties as the new artificial intelligence for W.O.O.H.P., but it's never been as action-packed as this. Usually, I just have to reactivate the signal towers and boom, virus goes bye-bye."

As the signal tower spread out a wave of light to clear Sector E of the infection, RiCO glanced down at her glowing hands. "Jerry did just install new anti-virus software for me," RiCO continued. "At first I wondered why, since my previous software was still working fine. Jerry just said that you can never be too careful these days. And lo and behold, it looks like he was right."

"Here's hoping we won't see our baddies for a while, since they have to work on their precious 'core virus'," May quipped.

"Wait, I was wondering something," Sam stated. "If the signal towers keep infection out when active, how did they get infected in the first place?"

"The best thing I can think of is that Lady Dragon must have implanted the virus in the system while I was getting my upgrades," RiCO answered. "Most of my software was down during the upgrade, and that sadly included the anti-virus software that was getting replaced. I guess they saw an opportunity to strike."

"They're getting smarter," Haruka sighed. "I guess it was bound to happen eventually."

"Okay, RiCO, where to next?" Nick asked.

"Sector A is closest," RiCO replied as she scanned the map of the datascape. "Unfortunately, we may have to do some more walking."

Before Clover could groan about it again, Nick raised his hand, surrounding the entire group in a psychic bubble, then lifting it into the air.

"Which way, RiCO?" Nick asked.

"That a-way," RiCO responded, and Nick began to guide the bubble in the direction RiCO had indicated.

Along the way to Sector A, the spies could more easily get a look at the chaos that the virus was causing from their higher vantage point.

"Man, it's nuts down there," Alex stated.

"I think that means we need to lickety-split to the other signal towers and find this 'core virus' before it can start the whole process all over again," Britney proclaimed.

"That seems to be the game plan," RiCO quipped.

"Any idea what the 'core virus' would look like?" Mat asked RiCO.

RiCO opened up an info window and began scanning, trying to find a trace of the core virus from the material they'd seen recently.

After a few seconds, something popped up on the screen, and RiCO showed it to the spies. The image on RiCO's screen was framed in shadow, but resembled a large robot with no legs, large cylindrical eyes, and a blade extending over its head.

"Yikes," Alex quipped. "Now that is scary."

"Then I guess we're gonna have to keep our eyes peeled extra harder," Sam quipped.

"No doubt about it, Sammy," Alex stated.

"Right there – that's Sector A," RiCO replied, pointing a finger.

"Well, here goes nothing," Bridget hesitantly stated.

4:11 P.M. – W.O.O.H.P. Datascape, Sector A

When the spies reached Sector A and Nick had dispersed his psychic bubble, they eyed the surroundings.

"Thank the stars I didn't have to walk!" Clover exclaimed.

"I think we're all in the same boat, Clover," Mat remarked.

"Speaking of boats, check out the surroundings," Melissa stated.

All the spies could see was a platform leading to an underwater setting.

"Strange," RiCO stated. "Sector A wasn't supposed to be all water..."

"Because I made it that way now," Lady Dragon's voice stated and she teleported into view.

"That was my guess," Nick kiddingly stated.

"You again...?" Alex chastised at Lady Dragon.

"You're already making me want to get back to the REAL world now!" Clover complained.

"Are WE the ones being spied on now?!" Sam shot at Lady Dragon.

"I'd think you'd be used to it by now..." another voice stated, and in came Marco Lumiere.

"Well, if it isn't the cheap-ass joke of a director who's grasping at straws for a shot in show biz..." Mat sarcastically chastised.

"Your sarcasm is overwhelming, kid," Lumiere sneered. "Even your boss, Jerry didn't know it was me when he went off to be in one of my movies..."

"Because he didn't put two and two together like I did when I figured out your new identity was your name spelled backwards," Alex shot back.

"Seriously, you couldn't do better than that?!" Haruka laughed.

"Talk about la-a-me..." May mocked.

All the taunting seemed to strike a lot of nerves in Marco Lumiere at what Alex and Haruka had just said to him.

"You might get laughs out of that," Lumiere remarked. "But you're not gonna survive under that water..."

"Especially when I have programmed Sector A to look like what I want it to..." Lady Dragon added.

"You can't be serious," Clover chastised.

"Oh, but I am," Lady Dragon sneered. "And I programmed it so only THREE of you can go down and brave the dangers down below..."

"You two are NUTS!" Britney shouted.

Marco Lumiere simply snapped his fingers, and makeshift cells fell over all twelve of the spies, surprising them all.

"LET US GO!" Nozomi demanded.

"I'll save us!" May heroically proclaimed and whipped out her anchor from the EGT.

"Rules for villains, number forty-seven," Haruka quipped. "Don't play fair if you want to win."

"I figured that was going to be near the top," Mat stated.

"You better choose your allies carefully, girlie," Lady Dragon sneered at May, who had gotten free.

"Huh?" May wondered.

"You just made yourself volunteer number one to go in the water," Lumiere sneered.

"You honestly think I'm scared of whatever digital horrors await us down there?" May shot back. "In case you missed the memo, I fought a murderer and came out on top! So your terrors of the deep don't scare me!"

"Okay, guys, we still need a plan here," Sam stated. "If only three of us can go down there to fix whatever they did to this sector, we need to pick who's gonna go with May very carefully."

"I'll take that mantle," Bridget proclaimed. "Now that I know Sonic Mode works underwater, that could be very useful."

"And I'll be the third, then, being the one with the anti-virus program and all," RiCO offered.

"So, have you made your choice, then?" Lumiere laughed. "Very well."

Lady Dragon snapped her fingers, and the cages holding May, Bridget, and RiCO opened up from underneath them, sending them into the water.

May and Bridget immediately equipped an Aqua Lips Waterproof Lipstick so they could focus on swimming through the water.

"All right, RiCO, which way do we go?" Bridget asked.

"Follow my lead," RiCO replied, swimming downwards toward a very obvious blue light.

"Is it weird that we're super deep underwater, but we're not suffering any bad effects from it?" May asked as they continued to swim downward.

"It's cyberspace," Bridget quipped. "Real world logic doesn't apply here, I'm sure."

"True that," RiCO replied. "...huh?"

"What's up, RiCO?" May asked. "Do we have a bogey on our six?"

"Something to that effect," RiCO responded. "A cluster of viral activity is heading our way!"

"And I'll bet anything that it's shaped like a shark," May groaned.

Sure enough, a large shark creature, its body covered in static like many of the viral creatures before it, swam rapidly towards them.

"CALLED IT!" May shouted as she swung her anchor to knock the shark away from her as it tried to bite her.

"You two keep it busy!" RiCO exclaimed. "I need a little time to charge up here!"

"Roger on that one," Bridget proclaimed. "Sonic Mode, online!"

As the shark recovered, it attempted to lunge for Bridget, only for her to dash away like lightning. Bridget began to swim rapidly around the shark to keep its attention on her long enough for May to smack the shark around with a three-swing combo.

This act exposed the viral core on the shark's flank, allowing RiCO to blast it with an anti-viral beam and delete it, causing the shark to flip over and float slightly upwards before exploding into glowing polygons.

"Virus eliminated!" RiCO proclaimed. "Now let's go fix that signal tower."

"You know you just sent your friends to their deaths, right?" Lumiere cackled. "The sudden death, while many say it's just a cliché way of adding tension and drama, certainly works when we want to get rid of someone."

"I wouldn't start getting cocky if I were you," Nick responded. "For one, we've kinda had our fill of villains stretching rule seven to its limits. Second, I'm pretty sure you haven't read up on May and Bridget, have you?"

"And what, exactly, could they contribute to getting you out of here?" Lady Dragon laughed.

The answer to that came in the form of a large wave of blue light that spread out across the area, eliminating the lingering infections in the sector and changing the immediate area back to normal. This act also dissolved the cages surrounding the rest of the spies, allowing them to regroup as May, Bridget, and RiCO rejoined them.

"W-what?!" Lumiere gasped. "H-How did you...?!"

"Simple," May quipped. "You underestimated us."

"Also, did you forget that I have epic anti-virus software that's been cleaning up your infection?" RiCO stated. "You were right about these villains being cocky, Nick. Just quoting rule seven doesn't even begin to cut it."

"Oof, Haruka's been teaching you about the rules for villains, huh?" Nick teased.

"It's a very interesting list," RiCO giggled.

"So much for your 'reprogramming'," Mat taunted.

"Now beat it," Nick proclaimed, his aura flaring to life. "Unless you want another keester-kicking."

Lady Dragon and Lumiere glanced at each other, silently agreeing that it was time for a tactical retreat.

"Don't think this is over, spies," Lumiere taunted. "After all, our little feature hasn't hit its climax yet."

And with that, Lumiere and Lady Dragon teleported away.

"Yeah, run, cowards!" May shouted.

"Let 'em be for now," Haruka stated. "We'll get 'em soon enough. All right, RiCO, where are we off to now?"

RiCO opened her map software and checked for the closest sector. "We've already disinfected Sectors C, F, E, and A, and it looks like Sector G is closest to here," RiCO explained.

"Then it looks like that's where we're going," Sam proclaimed. "Let's get there quickly."

"Off we go again!" Bridget exclaimed.

"I'll give Lady Dragon this, at least," Mat admitted. "She has a bit of taste, turning this sector into a Super Mario Bros. 3 ripoff."

"Ugh, please don't remind me of the water world and its freakin' flying Big Berthas that want to eat you," Nick sighed, shaking his head. "That world was the bane of my existence as a kid..."

"Not a fan of water levels, huh?" May laughed.

"Honestly, the only world that frustrated me more was the Pipe Maze," Nick admitted. "Young me was not good with mazes, and current me isn't much better."

"Tell me about it!" Melissa shouted. "I was there with you to suffer through those nightmares!"

RiCO couldn't help but smile as the spies bantered about old-school video games.

I can see why they're such a tight-knit group of friends, RICO thought, glancing at her glowing right hand. And I'm just happy to be a part of that group now.

"I could handle it once I got the hang of the pipe maze world," Mat replied. "I can thank the hours of practice I had there."

"How do you do that, Mat?" Haruka asked.

"I'm just good at remembering certain details," Mat laughed.

"Is that where your Supercross references come from?" Alex asked.

"I suppose so," Mat answered.

"Well, somebody's well-versed," Nick commented and gave a fist bump to Mat.

RiCO led the way to Sector G while Nick used a psychic bubble to save the group another bout of walking again.

5:32 P.M. – W.O.O.H.P. Datascape, Sector G

When the spy team made it to Sector G, Nick felt like he jinxed something because the sector was a pipe maze, but there was also some chilly weather mixed in.

"I didn't expect it like this!" Bridget exclaimed.

"That's because it was never like this before," RiCO pointed out.

"Aw, crapbaskets!" Nick chastised seeing the pipes. "Did I just jinx myself?!"

"And why did the weather have to be like Iceland?!" Sam chastised as well.

"Especially when we didn't even expect this to happen!" Alex shouted through chattering teeth.

"All things considered, our spy unis are MUCH better than our bathing suits like before!" Clover added, remembering their botched Hawaii vacation that took them from the warmth of Hawaii to the ice-cold climate of Iceland. (reference S1's The Getaway)

"Damn it all!" Nick swore. "I was hoping we wouldn't have to do this 'pick the right one' game!"

"But, hey, there's twelve of us and we can't really mess up, theoretically," Sam deduced.

"My thoughts exactly, hon," Mat grinned.

Sam rummaged through her backpack and pulled out the ear ring communicators. "Can't go wrong with these..." she quipped.

"Well, that puts me at ease," Nick stated.

"Instead of relying on intuition, we can rely on who's got the right pipe," Melissa replied.

"For sure," Dawn added as she got out her own ear ring communicator.

"Good thinking, Sammy!" Alex replied as the rest of the spy team got out their ear ring communicators.

As soon as the spies took their first few steps deep into Sector G, the slippery ground caught most of them by surprise and some of them fell.

"OOF!" Britney exclaimed as she took a fall.

Bridget, Clover, and Melissa also did as well.

"Who'd have thought we'd be going to this?" Mat quipped. "I certainly didn't."

"I think we all didn't think these circumstances," Alex answered.

Just when May began to beg for a break, Sam's X-Powder chirped.

"THANK GOODNESS!" May exclaimed. "A BREAK!"

"Hello, spies," Jerry greeted when Sam answered her X-Powder.

"Jerry? What's the word?" Sam asked.

"I have the analysis of the golden liquid May sent me," Jerry answered.

"Well, out with it," Clover remarked.

"From what I've gathered, it appears to be a prototype form of the virus that you all have been fighting," Jerry answered. "It was most likely left behind in the core virus' testing phases."

"Seems like they were getting sloppy, huh?" Bridget quipped.

"Since this appears to be a part of the core virus, I'm going to see if I can reverse-engineer this so you can use it against the core virus whenever you encounter it," Jerry replied. "Think of it as your trump card in case things go south."

"About time we get to invoke rule forty-eight on the good guys' side, huh?" Nozomi giggled.

"I'll contact you when it's ready," Jerry stated. "In the meantime, how is the disinfection process going?"

"We're close to halfway finished," RiCO answered. "We're currently trying to find the Sector G signal tower inside of a pipe maze."

"BAD MEMORIES!" Nick shouted.

"And apparently, Nick had bad memories of an old video game," RiCO giggled. "We're gonna keep exploring these pipes until we find the path to the signal tower..."

"Hey, RiCO, I see a light down this one!" May shouted, popping out of a pipe in the southwest of the sector.

"Well, that was quick," RiCO quipped. "We'll talk to ya soon, Jerry."

As Jerry's transmission cut out, RiCO jumped out of the pipe she was searching and jogged over to the one May had pointed out.

And sure enough, as she looked down the pipe, she could see the faint glow of the signal tower at the bottom, covered by the static of the virus infection.

"Everyone, May and I found the way to the signal tower!" RiCO exclaimed. "Follow me!"

With that, the spies clambered out of the pipes they were searching and jumped down the one May and RiCO had found, eventually landing in the room that housed the signal tower.

"Is it odd that we fell down a pretty long tunnel and our legs are perfectly fine?" Dawn asked. "I mean, I know it's cyberspace, and not completely adherent to the laws of our own world, but still!"

As RiCO walked up and blasted the signal tower with a flare of anti-virus light to clear out the infection, Nick looked back up at the tunnel they'd fallen through to get here.

"Honestly, Dawn, the more you think about it, the more it hurts the head," Nick stated as RiCO reactivated the control panel to fully disinfect Sector G and return it to its normal state, dissolving the pipe maze and the icy weather.

"Et voila!" RiCO proclaimed. "Sector G is virus-free! We're halfway there, everyone!"

"Here's hoping it won't be much longer before we can find this core virus and stomp all over it," Sam stated. "Where are we off to next, RiCO?"

"It looks like Sector D is closest to here," RiCO replied. "And, Clover, you don't have to worry, because Sector D is only a few minutes from here."

"Oh, thank goodness," Clover sighed. "I just didn't think the inside of W.O.O.H.P.'s computers would be so much bigger than I thought..."

"That's pretty much what I thought the first time I saw the datascape for myself," RiCO giggled.

5:52 P.M. – W.O.O.H.P. Datascape, Sector D

True to RiCO's word, it only took the spies a couple minutes to reach Sector D, and they were once again confused by what they witnessed there.

This sector appeared to be what looked like a neon metropolis full of tall buildings and skyscrapers, only not to scale, about three times taller than the spies themselves.

"Oooooookay, now we're in a neon city," Alex stated.

"I assume this sector isn't supposed to look like this either, RiCO?" Melissa asked.

"Not a bit," RiCO answered.

"Hey, look, isn't that the signal tower over there?" Haruka asked, pointing to just ahead. In front of one of the larger buildings was the sector's signal tower.

"Wow, that was remarkably quick," Nozomi quipped.

"Which means something's probably waiting to ambush us the instant we get close to the tower," May responded, readying her digital anchor just in case. "Rules for villains, number sixteen: always make the good guys assume something is too easy and then ambush them."

To make sure, RiCO took a few steps forward...

...then immediately jumped backwards to avoid a bright green laser blast that had come from somewhere above, leaving only a glitchy hole in the ground where she had just been.

"Nailed it right on the head," RiCO proclaimed. "There's viral activity just above us!"

May was the first to look up and get a good look at what had just attacked them.

"Um, you guys?" May asked.

"What's wrong, May?" Alex wondered.

"Remember how, back when we fought that motorcycle creep, I said something about whether or not we were going to fight Godzilla in the future?" May proclaimed.

"Um, yeah, why?" Mat replied.

May raised her hand to point towards one of the taller buildings. "Look up there and tell me what exactly you see," May stated.

"Wait, what's up..." Nick started, only to look up and see what May had been talking about. "...there. Of course."

Standing at the very top of one of the taller buildings was a mass of virus blobs that had formed into a robotic creature heavily resembling Mechagodzilla, only with much longer claws, beady red eyes, and a blade on its head reminiscent of the one that the core virus had on its head in RiCO's scan.

"What in the hell?!" Britney exclaimed.

The creature roared loudly before leaping off of the building and landing right in front of the spies.

"I honestly thought it'd be taller," Bridget quipped. The Mechagodzilla was only about halfway taller than they were.

The Mechagodzilla's eyes glowed a sharp red as it levitated slightly off of the ground.

"SCATTER!" Sam shouted, and the spies all dove in different directions to avoid the Mechagodzilla's charging attack. Nick took this opportunity to blast the creature in the back with a Final Shine Attack.

"So, which Mechagodzilla is this?" Alex asked as the Mechagodzilla slowly turned around. "The one that our planet built or the one that came from space?"

"That's your first question, Alex?!" Nozomi exclaimed as she began circling around to avoid being in Mechagodzilla's line of sight.

Thankfully, Nick was able to hit Mechagodzilla in the back with another Final Shine Attack, since it seemed to turn really slowly.

Just then, though, Mechagodzilla flew up to the top of another building and opened its mouth, obviously charging up for an atomic breath attack.

"Okay, what do we do now?" Clover asked.

May took a look at the building it had landed on, just now noticing that it had cracked at the bottom when Mechagodzilla had landed on it.

And that gave her a wicked idea.

May hefted her anchor and charged towards the building.

"May, what are you doing?!" Sam shouted.

"Trust me, this will work!" May responded as she reached the building in question. After taking a step back to prepare, May swung her anchor and struck the cracked area of the building, causing it to collapse under itself.

May quickly retreated as the entire building collapsed into digital wreckage, sending Mechagodzilla tumbling to the ground.

"BOOM!" May proclaimed. "Nailed it!"

Mechagodzilla picked itself up and roared again, causing the spies to all dive in different directions to avoid its charge attack.

"Was it me, or was that charge a lot faster than it was before?" Nozomi asked as Mechagodzilla turned around, much faster than earlier.

Mechagodzilla stomped the ground three times, each stomp unleashing a shockwave that forced the spies to stay on the move.

After another charge, Mechagodzilla opened its mouth to charge up an atomic breath attack.

"You just revealed your opening, robot boy!" Nick shouted, firing a Final Shine Attack into Mechagodzilla's open mouth, stopping its power-up and causing explosions to rock its entire body.

One such explosion blew off its chest plate, revealing the viral core.

"You're mine!" RiCO shouted, raising her hand to fire an anti-viral beam into the Mechagodzilla's viral core, disintegrating the core on contact and causing the Mechagodzilla to fall flat on its back, roaring in agony before it went still and exploded into a bunch of glowing polygons.

RiCO was already on the move once Mechagodzilla was gone, blasting the infection off of the signal tower, then reactivating the control panel to disinfect all of Sector D, getting rid of all the buildings in the process.

"And that's the end of you!" May shouted. "Which kaiju wants to be next?!"

"Um, May, I wouldn't provoke them if I were you," Nick quipped.

May's retort was cut off when RiCO gasped at something she'd seen on her scanners. "Hey, everyone, I just picked up a massive viral reading on my scanners," RiCO proclaimed.

"Okay, that doesn't sound good at all," Sam stated. "Which sector is getting hit that badly?"

"That's the weird thing," RiCO answered, swiping her right hand to change her scanner screen to show the spies what she'd seen. "None of the remaining infected sectors are showing any increases in viral activity since we all got here. It looks like..."

"It looks like a new sector just popped up on your map," Nick realized. "And I'm pretty sure I know where that one will lead us to."

"Looks like it's time to storm the villain's hideout, huh?" Alex proclaimed. "Well, if they're extending an invitation, let's accept the invite and take 'em down!"

"From what I've been able to discern, the core virus is the one that seems to be controlling all of the other offshoots that we've been facing," RiCO stated. "So, basically, we take out the core virus and the rest of the infection will go completely inert, and it'll be easy pickings to clean up the rest of the datascape from there!"

"Then let's go put an end to this!" Bridget exclaimed as RiCO led the spies towards the area where she'd picked up the reading.

To be concluded...

Next time on Totally Spies: Virus Busters...

Melissa: Yikes, this place is nightmarish.

May: It's a villain's lair, what did you expect?

Nick: Even creepier is the infection that seems to be covering everything around here.

RiCO: It feels like they're trying to accumulate a bunch of viral activity in order to release it once they're finished tinkering with the core virus.

Sam: But wouldn't it be harder for them to re-infect the system now that most of the signal towers have been re-activated?

RiCO: I'd rather not take any chances with these weirdos. Both of them already seem to have more than a few screws loose...

Britney: Isn't that the truth.

May: Well, readers, we're off to the inner sanctum to face down our villains and their core virus! It's gonna be an epic showdown, next time on the final act of Totally Spies: Virus Busters, "De-rez-olution"!

Nick: Wow, that's a first. A pun that's in the episode title for once.

May: Now that is a pun I don't mind as long as it's used occasionally. Right, mister scriptwriter?!
