A/N: Found this in an old Hunger Games folder on my computer. Just going to dump it in this one-shot/drabble story.

A very sleepy, Gale opened the door. Madge rammed into him and hugged him tightly as soon as his door opened. He stumbled back, his arms wrapping around her.

"Madge, what's wrong?" he asked into her hair. His hands rubbed up and down her back, which was covered with a cotton nightgown that slid off one shoulder.

"I saw them," she sobbed into his t-shirt. Her thin arms holding on to him like he was her lifeline. "My parents! The bodies! They're all gone."

"Madge, it was a nightmare. You're okay. We're okay."

Gale's voice rumbled under her ear along with his pounding heart. It felt so good to be wrapped in his powerful arms and crushed against his strong body. Her trembling subsided to be replaced by new sensations. The smooth cotton that Gale rubbed over her back and the warmth of his hands sent sparks along her spine. The fear that sent her into Gale's room was gone. He continued to whisper consoling words to her as his lips pressed against her ear.

"Thank you, Gale," she finally said against his chest. His shirt was wet from her tears so she apologized. "I've made a mess of you."

"No harm done," Gale said, stepping back to turn on the light.

"I'm sorry to come to your room, but I didn't want to wake anyone else," Madge said, blinking at the bright light.

"Ahh." Gale looked surprised and then a little sick. "Madge, wh-where is… Your…"

"Gale, what's wrong?" She stepped toward him and he backed away. "Gale?"

His eyes were wide, the grey darkening. One hand was held in front of him and the other clenched into a fist. "R-robe. Your robe. Where is your robe?"

"I came here as soon as I woke up. I didn't think to grab it." His eyes were darting around the room, trying to look anywhere but at her. Her skin was still warm after he held her. "I'm not cold."

"Y-yes," he stammered. "You need it." His voice fell, as did his eyes.

Madge looked down and realized she stood before him in a thin, white cotton nightshirt that was much too big for her. Her eyes widened and she crossed her arms over her chest. "Uhh!" Madge spun around. There was no way Gale didn't see ... everything through the thin material. Damned nightmares!

"Madge?" Gale questioned

"I-I… I need to go," Madge said, humiliation making her stammer. She clutched her arms tightly around her chest. "Th-thanks."

"No!" His voice dropped."Please stay. I was just surprised to find you looking like you… walked out of my dreams."

"What?" Her face was flaming hot and she squeezed her eyes shut.

"That sounded wrong." Gale chuckled.

How could I do this? Because comfort from Gale is all you've ever wanted. And next to Cashmere and the sexy women of the Capitol, she might as well be twelve for how developed her body was.

"What I meant to say is that seeing you with your hair all messed up and in this nightgown…" Gale stopped and took a deep breath.

Madge refused to open her eyes or turn back around. Gale's words and his gentle hands that rested on her shoulders did little to ease her embarrassment. "I'm sorry," she mumbled.

"Don't be." Gale turned her and pulled her against his chest once again. "I shouldn't have reacted like that."

"I'm sure seeing my scantily clad body was a shock." Madge tried to lighten the mood and laughed. "It'll probably give you nightmares."

"Madge, look at me." Gale's voice was firm, but gentle. His thumbs were tracing distracting circles on her bare shoulder as he moved her back from his body. "Sweetheart, let me see your beautiful blue eyes."

Taking a deep breath, she opened her eyes to look into eyes the color of steel. A tremor shook her from her head to her toes.

"I never thought you'd be the type to fish for compliments." A smile spread over Gale's face. He removed one hand from her shoulder and tilted her head back.

"No, I-I'm not," Madge stammered. "I know I'm not appealing in... that way."

"That way?" Gale chuckled. "You are most definitely appealing in that way. And you can't tell me that I'm the first guy to be attracted to you."

"You're attracted to me?" Madge squeaked. "Like physically attracted?" Her eyes drifted over his chest but she couldn't look any further.

"I am extremely physically attracted to you." Gale looked closely at Madge for her reaction.

"Really?" Her voice was breathless. The idea that little Madge Undersee would make Gale think about… It was preposterous. Her sheltered upbringing couldn't bring her to even imagine that what went on behind closed doors between a man and a woman could happen between her and Gale.

"More than anyone. Ever." Gale's voice was deep and sexy as ever.

Her eyes widened and she licked her lips. Gale's eyes were drawn to her lips and soon his mouth followed. At the first brush of the soft, capable lips of Gale Hawthorne, Madge whimpered. Her first kiss wasn't just the brushing of lips. This kiss involved open mouths, tongues, heavy breathing and pressing her body against Gale's.

Gale's hands landed on her waist as hers skimmed his powerful shoulders to toy with his hair. His velvety soft lips and tongue responded without an ounce of caution. The chemistry between the two of them when their mouths touched was explosive.

Gale groaned as one hand slid up her back to thread through her hair, the other wrapped around her waist, holding her tight. He slowed the kiss. His lips caressed hers, telling her without words that he worshiped her.

Madge moaned and tightened her hold on his shoulder and neck because her legs were giving out.

"I-I think I should go," Madge whispered when the kiss finally ended. Her balance thrown off and head spinning.

"No." Gale answered. "Don't ever leave me again."

Madge's eyes widened at the implication of his words. The innocent Mayor's daughter's heart crashed into her rib cage. A delicious heat spread throughout her body as a grin spread over her face. Gale Hawthorne really did want her that way.

A/N: I need to stop now or it will move into M-rated territory :-)
