A loud boom interrupted the conversation, as smoke filled the area.
Midoriya continued to speak, "Kacchan is always wary of his opponents. He tries to fight from a distance. We'll move he's at least two steps away from the villains. "
They all gazed back towards the ongoing battle, nervousness in each of their expressions.
"Iida..." said Yaoyorozu
Watching the battle, Iida began.
"This feels like a gamble, but considering the situation, it puts us at little risk. And should we succeed... It could change everything..."
There was a moment of silence, only the sounds or the battle being heard.
"Let's do it."
And thus the plan began.
Midoriya started, "First, we use my Full Cowling and Iida's Recipro to get us moving!"
There was an instant shift in the atmosphere around them, each of them with a serious face. There was no room for failure. Failure meant no Bakugou. It meant no victory for Heroes. It was time to be real heroes, whether they liked it or not.
"Then Kirishima's Hardening will smash through the wall."
They smashed the wall. Pure power radiated from the trio as they soared forward, Kirishima between Iida and Midoriya.
"The second we break through, Todoroki uses his ice... to construct a ramp!"
As soon as the ice ramp grew from the ground, they caught some or the villains attention. The trio ran to the top in no time.
"It has to be tall... so we can really fly."
Even with the new sets of eyes watching their movements, there was no time to stop their plan.
The villains still haven't noticed us! We've avoided their attention up until now... so we're in the perfect position to pull this off! ,Midoriya thought.
At the top, they paused, almost as if they were purposefully wanting the villains to watch what was about to happen.
"We'll cross over the whole battlefield... at a height where they can't reach us."
They jumped from the ice ramp, flying over everyone and everything happening. The combined powers of Iida and Midoriya being plentiful to ensure no villain would be able to touch them. The trio felt the eyes of various villains below following their movement overhead. The shock and confusion clearly visible on their faces.
The boss villain is keeping All Might pinned down. Which means... He's also not going anywhere!
"Then... It's up to you Kirishima."
As they flew, they finally were able to spot Bakugou, just as he saw them. His face panicked and shocked at seeing his classmates literally flying overhead. Why would they be here?, running through his mind.
"It can't be me. It can't be Todoroki or Iida or Yaoyorozu either..."
As if overcoming or ignoring his reaction, Bakugou's face became determined; his eyes narrowing to watch where they were going to end up and ideas of how to escape running through his mind.
"Ever since we started school... You've been building a rapport with Kacchan."
At that moment, multiple memories came to mind. The first time they met and decided to team up at the entrance exam, the times they were pumped for another fight, the times they bickered at each other, and many more in the short amount of time they had spent since that first day of meeting.
With all of that in mind, Midoriya finally finished saying, "You'll be calling out to him as a friend!"
Finally a close enough distance for Bakugou to reach them without getting caught by the villains, Kirishima took a deep breath, turned his body around to face where Bakugou was, and screamed,
"Come on!"
All Might and All for One continued to fight, as if the situation at hand had only encouraged All Might to continue his fight to help with their recusing Bakugou.
Bakugou began to move, pure determination set on his face. One villain, the one with hands all over moved towards Bakugou, his hand reaching as Bakugou moved forward. Before he had the chance to grab him, Bakugou moved his hand down towards the ground, concentrating an explosion. Another loud boom sounded as Bakugou's body flew through the air towards his classmates up above.
They were only a foot apart from each other, adrenaline being their source of power. A smile grew on Bakugou's face as he looked up at Kirishima, at how close they were now to escaping this hellhole. Their hands were almost able to grab each other.
"You Idiots..." Bakugou said as his hand moved to grab Kirishima's.
A shock-wave of some sort was sent through the air, halting the escape. Kirishima, being the only one of the trio, watched in horror as the wave was directed at Bakugou and his escape by All for One, having turned away from All Might to do. Bakugou was stopped from further ascending towards Kirishima, but after a moment of suspension, started falling back.
Midoriya and Iida having turned their head to look behind at what caused the shock saw as their captive classmate began his descent back into the enemies hands, unable to be rescued.
AN: If there seems to be a lot of ... it is because most of the dialogue from this chapter, and so of the last two chapters is directly from the manga. I chose not to change it too much until the turning point. Hope you enjoyed the update :)
