I wanted to let everybody know that I won't be on fanfiction for a few days, I have walking pneumonia and was tested today for Covid-19. I will be self quarantining at my uncles and he has no internet so I am going to go ahead and post the final chapter of my story and I hope to be back on line soon, please keep me in your prayers my friends, love ya'll

Shades Of Gray-Ch 24

Epilogue- 5 Years Later

The past five years had flew by and with each passing year another member was added, first JJ and Reid had a little boy named Michael when Angela had turned 9 months old. Then Sarah had gotten married to a great man named Ricky Mareno and they now have a little girl named Amanda.

Hotch and Emily added twins Tony and Tomi, a little boy and little girl, they were a surprise for sure but a very welcome surprise and their now 11 year old son helps with the twins and is a great big brother. Desi got married to a man she had dated on and off named Isiah Crawford and she too has a little girl named Amelia Grace now 3 and she's the spitting image of her momma at that age.

Derek and Penelope welcomed a little boy named Hank Spencer Morgan when Angela turned 3 and their newest addition is a little boy named Zachary Aaron Morgan. He too was a surprise, the team had been gone on a case for over 3 weeks and have come home to find out that they were given 2 weeks off soooooooo Derek and Penelope headed off on a little vacation and took their two beautiful children with them.

A few weeks later she started showing signs that she was indeed pregnant with child number 3 and when she her blood results she was almost 4 weeks along. She worked at the BAU until she was almost 8 months along and then she worked at home until Zachary was born.

The team is still as strong now as they were back before Penelope was kidnapped over 5 years ago but memories of that time still flash back to her mind. She has to remind herself that he is dead and can't hurt her or their family again and then she forces herself to remember the good times because those outweigh the bad.

The family still gets together at least once a week for family cookouts, they love spending time together as a family so that they can celebrate and unwind together. As Fran looked around the back yard at all of the laughing and smiling faces she couldn't help but grin, she knew that everybody that made her life complete was right here with her.

Derek intertwined fingers with his bride and brought her hand up to his lips and kissed it and said, "what's on that mind of yours baby girl"?, she sighed and said, "I use to think that life was either black or white and now". Derek said, "and now what"?, she said, "I don't think it's that way anymore".

He said, "you don't"?, she shook her head and said, "nope, now instead of everything being just black and white I think it's", he grinned at her and said, "it's what"? she sighed happily and said, "it's a mixture of both my love, it's shades of gray, shades of gray".

Derek kissed her lips and said, "I love you", she winked at him and said, "and I love you", she then laid her head down on his shoulder and relaxed as family time continued. As Penelope sat wrapped in the loving arms of her husband she knew that she wouldn't trade anything for her memories because those have helped her become the person she is today.
