The warp gate closed just as All Might's hand reached close enough to brush All for One's body. All Might flew through the now empty space, tumbling to the ground. He flipped his fallen body around to look back at the space the war gate had been.

Empty.

His body sagged. He didn't bother getting up, why should he? I've failed Young Bakugou once again, he thought to himself as he slowly gazed across the battlefield and ruin left behind by All for One's appearance.

The heroes that weren't hurt began to help civilians and other heroes around. Heroes began to approach him, but he didn't have the energy or care to acknowledge who they were and what they were saying. All he could see were the terrified faces of his students only a rooftop away. His eyes locked with Young Midoriya.

Please, they pleaded, please say he isn't lost again.

Not being able to continue to look into his eyes, All Might slowly shook his head looking towards the ground. He began to stand up, pushing away the arms of those around him trying to help. He started his trek towards the rooftop his students were on, ignoring the destruction around him.

Without realizing it, he blinked and he was on the rooftop, not remembering the trip to get there.

It doesn't matter now. All that matters is my students.

He gazed at them, all five now there, Young Todoroki and Young Yaoyorozu having joined them. All of them continued to look out towards the crater in front of them, none having turned with his entrance onto the roof.

He moved forward robotically. What would he say to them? What could he say to them? Sorry? Sorry he couldn't save their classmate and his student for a second time? Sorry they got involved? Sorry just doesn't cut it, just an excuse for him and the other heroes of being unable to save Young Bakugou. Of letting him continue to stay in the hands of villains with an unknown agenda for him.

He stood behind them. He stood behind Midoriya. His hand lifted from his side, setting itself onto Young Midoriya's shoulder, squeezing it slightly for comfort. No one moved.

After a tense few seconds, Midoriya moved slightly, though it was only his head and shoulders. He turned to look at All Might, and the sight before All Might crushed him.

Midoriya's eyes holding at bay all the tears, blinking to try and stop the inevitable. His lips trembled as he tried to form some words to say, but when he was unable to, he bit his lip so hard, All Might was worried they would bleed.

Even through all of this, his whole body shaking and the world falling apart, Midoriya uttered the words he dreaded being true.

"He's… gone?", he said, false hope clinging to the end of a question he knew the answer to. Those around them, turning towards the somewhat silent conversation All Might and Midoriya were having.

Knowing he needed to speak, All Might's hand slipped from Midoriya's shoulder to fall back at his side. He straightened up his posture and locked eyes with his One for All successor.

"Young Bakugou… has been taken."

The word again threatened to come out, but he held the urge, his gaze looking at his other students. Each one having varying reactions.

Todoroki's fist's tightened as he looked towards the ground, and then out towards the ruins. He's frustrated with himself that they couldn't save him, All Might thought. How hard it must be to have been so close to Bakugou, yet unable to stop what was to come.

Yaoyorzu blinked rapidly, trying in vain to stop the tears that were threatening to spill past her eyes. She looked at each of her fellow classmates, and her tears fell with each look at them. Even all of them together was not enough to save Bakugou.

Completely still. Iida did not move a muscle after the words came from All Might's mouth. At that moment, he was completely still. No twitching or urge to move like he normally had, just the crushing feeling of failure. I said we shouldn't have gone! I knew it! Now… Now we are just left with utter defeat.

Eyes wide, he looked frantically between All Might and Midoriya. No, it couldn't be true. We failed him… Again? Kirishima didn't even try to stop the hurricane of emotions going through him. The bitterness, fear, and pain. We're- No! I'm weak! I couldn't even save my best friend when given another chance to do it. What would happen now? Now Bakugou was left to the villains again with no indication as to where they went.

He bit his lip and brought his hands to clutch some of his hair. His best friend was gone. And no one has an idea what the villains will do now.

Midoriya saw what happened, yet chooses not to believe it. They couldn't save Bakugou, even with their second chance. But that wasn't what caused his distress now. None of the other pro-heroes were able to save him either. All Might was too late.

He knew not to blame All Might, it wasn't his fault that the villains took Kaachan, yet if he didn't try to alleviate the blame, who would he blame? The other pro-heroes? His classmates? It was his fault. If only he had listened to Iida and not gone after Kaachan, maybe they would have stayed out of the heroes way. If only he could have saved Kaachan when they heard the villains wanted him. If only he were quicker.

His thoughts were drowning out everything else around him, until a hand clenched his shoulder and shook him lightly.

Midoriya blinked looking for the source of touch. His eyes fell to All Might, sorrow reflecting back in his eyes. Without another second to spare, Midoriya threw himself forward into the arms of All Might, uncaring of his classmates still around him.

Silent sobs racked his body as he truly reacted to what had occurred that night.

He's really gone!

All Might held on tightly to Midoriya, rubbing small circles into his back in an effort to try and calm him. He dared not try and reflect on what had happened himself in fear of his own emotions.

After a few minutes of sniffling from those around him and the weak noises of people on the ground, All Might, still holding onto Midoriya looked at the rest of his students.

"Alright everyone. Let's bring you all home now."

He gestured for them to follow him towards the stairs leading to the ground floor of the building, trusting they were following him.

Unknown Location

Darkness surrounded him as he woke his body up.

A blindfold then?, Bakugou thought as he stopped trying to look around and figure out where he was. He sighed quietly as he took stock of his situation.

He began to try and move his body, first his arms and legs. No use, he thought as he felt the roughness of some type of binding around his arms and legs. Bakugou began to move slightly side to side, feeling the chair he was on move slightly with each movement.

Coming to a stop, Bakugou started to notice the chill his body felt in the room. With no way to stop the shivers beginning to rack his body, he grit his teeth and waited for someone to interrupt the silence surrounding him.

Faintly, he could hear footsteps coming towards him, as if the individual was walking down a hallway. They continued to grow louder until they stopped. Bakugou's brow furrowed as he tried to understand the sudden stop.

Bang! The slam of a door only feet away from Bakugou startled him, and he quickly composed himself and was bracing for what was to come.

The footsteps slowly inched in the room, letting the door close behind them as they started to circle Bakugou. Controlling himself, Bakugou stayed looking forward, listening for a change in the movement.

After walking a few circles around him, the person stopped directly behind Bakugou. A breath right next to his ear made him tense up. The hairs near his ears moved along with the breath over his shoulder.

A small chuckle sounded next to him. His jaw becoming tired with the constant clenching, shallow breaths going in and out through his nose.

After another period of silence, save for the breaths of both people in the room, the individual spoke.

"Are you finally awake, brat?"
