Living on the subdivision isn't bad. Everyone knows each other, which includes me of course. I just started going out after fixing everything in my home, from the living room all the way up. Although the gifts never stopped coming, it made my heart warm and happy. I didn't bother making friends and only talked when necessary; my neighbors called it selective mute though, so I'll go with that. My previous school, Kanazhi Public School was informed of the incident that happened; they were not surprised when I pulled out and continue to study through online.
["Addie, where are you going to study?"] I looked at my desktop and saw my online friend frowning at me. I set aside my textbooks and hummed.
"I'm not sure where, do you know any school near here?" I ask and watched her type something on a separate desktop. A ping came out of my laptop, opening it, I stared at the files.

["They are the only school I can find around your place. I also sent you the safe routes, walking distance use your bike or public transportation, depends on your decision."]
"Hmmm, I'll be reading them while I eat my dinner, Athiere. Thanks for the info, by the way." I said and smiled lightly at her.
We've been friends since before the incident along with her fiancé, Dominique. The two of them became my siblings. I got adopted by Athiere's parents but still kept my surname. My neighbors knew I got adopted and promised me to keep it to their selves which I am glad, and in return, I would help them from time to time in whatever they need.
["Okay sis, Dom might call you before you sleep. Good night, Love you."]
"Good Night, Love you too."
After the call, I printed the files and went to the kitchen and started cooking. Living alone can be lonely sometimes, I am sure Dominique and Athiere would live with me if they didn't have big responsibilities in America, along with Mother and Father. I am certain though that some of my neighbors were ordered to watch and protect me. It was just a hunch at first, but after someone broke in my home, the couple next door literally broke my window to detain him while I was asleep. And then the protectors of the subdivision were quite protective of me… and of course I never asked them.
(Let's just say that the whole subdivision is under Athiere and Dominique… she's not entirely wrong)
With soft music playing in the background, I let myself lay down in the living room remembering those three schools. Tempest High mostly has troubled teens, there's no way I can study there peacefully without trouble. Iovis University caters anyone as long as they pass the exams except for kindergarten and elementary. Munio Academy has everything, what I meant of everything is from kindergarten to college. They're all prestigious schools despite some… opinions.
All three schools are related somehow, according to the files, the school directors are siblings and the whole school board in each school are somewhat related. Now if only I can contact the school director considering some of my circumstances. I'll just head at the school.
Tossing the folders on the table, I made myself comfortable and went to sleep.
Heading to the first school is peaceful. Atheire told me that Tempest High is opened from six in the morning till ten in the evening. Waking up in five is no problem, everything is quiet. Tempest High is near the main road and just outside the next subdivision, Iovis University is hidden somewhere at the end of the subdivision surrounded by trees and located near a cliff, and then Munio Academy is near on the edge of subdivision beside the running river. All three schools surrounded the subdivision except for the opposite side.
If Tempest High is located South, Lovis University North, and then the Munio Academy West, there's a chance that the building located at the East is owned by all three schools. Come to think of it…. was it pure coincidence or…? There's no way that the schools are related to the subdivision.
"Tempest High has two buildings…. Now where the heck is the guard?" I muttered and entered the clearly opened gate.
'The guard didn't get killed by the students here right?'
Ignoring the broken guard house, I walked directly towards the office, aware of the eyes watching my every move. Finding the office, I knocked softly and opened it.
"You're Addira Azele, yes?" Nodding my head, I closed the door behind me and walked inside, sitting down taking in the appearance of the principal. With black hair and onyx black eyes, he looked terrifying if not for his soft smile and relaxed posture.
"I'm Dave Mellow Nick Volos. But I'm widely known as Dave Volos. It's nice to meet you." He said and I nodded my head as a greeting.
"I've seen your past records in your old school, Kanazhi Public School, the same from your online studying. Everything seems to be in place, but what seems to be the problem?" He asks rather gently. He waited patiently for me to reply, seems like he knew about my issues.
"Myself." I softly replied. "Can you – uhm… I applied for three schools, Mr. Volos. The ones surrounding the subdivision… where can someone like me study?" His eyes softened and smiled lightly.
"You are you, Ms. Azele. But entering Iovis University is what I can recommend." He suggested and I tilted my head at him.
"Iovis caters anyone except kindergarten and elementary. They accept students from high school to college. Iovis' students are more understanding of your predicament than Munio and here." He explained.
"Don't worry about the government or authority, the school board rules everything here. They cannot intervene of our matters." He winked making me smile unconsciously and bowed my head.
"Now, you don't mind one of my students to escort you at Iovis University, yes?" I only hummed as he pressed a button on his deck. I stare at him for a moment and hummed once again.
"Is there something wrong, Ms. Azele?" He asks genuinely worried.
Why? No one looked at me like that before, not outside the subdivision. Not those authority or in the government. Why are they concerned… when I'm just a girl?
I shook my head and smile placidly at him.
"Addira." I said making him blink in confusion before chuckling.
"You might as well call me Uncle then." I felt myself blushing lightly making him chuckle and reached to pat my head making me duck my head.
"You called Sir?" A boy with bleached hair tied in a low ponytail and wearing glasses appeared on the doorway looking at me for a second before darting his eyes to..Uncle?
"Yes, I did, Dylan. Can you escort Addira here to Lovis University? I hope you are not busy." He said gesturing to me which I nodded slightly.
"Sure. Is it alright if my friends come with us?" Dylan asks looking at me. I turned to Uncle who only smiled gently then I looked back at Dylan and nodded my head. I stood up and smiled at him.
"Thank You, Uncle."
Third person's view
Dylan's eyes widen and looked at their Principal who smiled at the girl, their principal rarely smiles, he's always emotionless. Sure he smiles if that is something is about to happen. Not his usual 'you-are-dead-smile', but a gentle smile. To think their principal can smile like that.
"Come on." He said and grasps her hand and tugged it gently waving at the principal and shut the door. He let go of the hand and looked at her.
"I'm Dylan Vector. I'm on my Third Year of high school. It's nice to meet you." He said letting his voice gentle and opened his hand for a handshake. He knew someone who have trauma when he see one. And the girl in front of her has.
"Addira Azele. First, it's nice to meet you too." Her voice is soft and timid as she shakes his hand. Dylan grinned and tugged her hand again and started walking, letting her hand go.
"Hey, we're going to use our bikes, you gonna be okay to ride with me?" He asks and waved at his friends waiting for him outside the gate. The girl only hummed and unconsciously hid behind him.
"They won't hurt you." He assured and Addira only hummed but didn't go out behind him. Dylan chuckled and went out of the gate.
"We'll be escorting someone to Lovis University." He stated to his friends, slightly bothered on their bloody clothes. He just hoped it won't cause a trigger.
"Heh, rare for you to agree." Jay stated and raised an eyebrow.
"Who's the pretty kid?" Angelo asked and everyone looked at him then to the girl hiding behind him.
"The principal's niece-" Dylan stopped when he felt her tugging his shirt. They watched her go out of his back but still held the shirt and smiled slightly.
"I'm Addira Azele. It's nice to meet you." She said and then boldly holds his hand. When they didn't respond, she clutch his hands tighter and looked up at him behind her lashes.
"They're… " Dylan chuckled and ruffled her hair with the other hand.
"Oi, stop staring and start gearing." He said and everyone did, while stating their names. Dylan rode his big bike and waited for her to follow. Once she did, he felt her wrapped her arms on his waist and he started his motorcycle.
Upon arriving at the University, they can clearly see some students mingling with their friends. When they heard the motorcycle's engine, they all stopped and to look who arrived and were surprised to see them but didn't bother staring after taking one look at the only girl clutching Dylan's hand hard that her knuckles are white. The students greeted them with simple greetings with waves or smiles and made sure to include the girl and let her feel welcome. Seeing her blush and smile lightly made them glad that at least it work.
Addira only let go of Dylan's hand when they entered the office and slumped down on the chair given to her by Jay. Dylan taking pity of her, he handed her a glass of water which she quickly downed and relaxed slightly.
"Thank you." She softly said and went inside the main office to talk to the Headmaster. Once the door closed, they remained silent until Kenneth broke it.
"Once she's staying here we'll be visiting her." He stated earning nods from the rest.
"She's cute."
"Pretty too."
"Both of you shut up."
