Here is my second attempt at posting a fic. I am not sure how often updates will be or how long chapters will end up being. I know this is a short one but chapter two will come shortly.
This is unbeta'd so forgive any errors please!
I own nothing.
Chapter One
The sound of the metal baseball bat dragging along the gravel and the crunch of her footsteps could be heard from the end of the Cullens well hidden drive. Drawing the attention of every member of the family, they slowing made their way outside to investigate the sounds though they could all smell her familiar scent.
Bella was making her way slowly and methodically up the long drive dragging a metal baseball bat along side her. Although her face was blank of any expression, her eyes glowed a dark gold revealing her heritage.
She'd seen his decision as soon as he made it and it didn't waver. He acted as if he had all the cards in his hand. She would no longer sit silently while he took her choices away and made her look foolish. What relationship could they have anyway if he refused to accept her as his equal and his mate?
Edward kept her at arms length and most days he felt like a stranger to her even though she loved him without question.
This morning he made the concrete decision to leave her behind. He was a coward. Instead of embracing their connection and love, he fought it. Bella has tried so hard to break his carefully built walls to no avail.
Now she was filled with fury and felt it simmer under her skin. It over powered her whole being. Her animal was fighting to break free and unleash her rage.
Bella wasn't normally a violent women but it seemed he brought out the worst in her. She was tired of feeling desperate and hopelessly when Edward was the one that pulled her in. She wasn't hiding anymore.
Edward walked down the front steps, puzzled at her arrival.
"Bella.."
Her eyes shifted to meet his and he froze.
This wasn't a side of her he had ever seen. She looked wild and slightly unhinged.
It was then that he knew that she had seen. This was his doing.
"Bella, please listen.." he pleaded but she kept walking.
She walked passed his family to his car that was parked just outside the large garage.
All their eyes were wide as she gracefully hopped up on the hood of the shiny silver car.
As Bella rested atop the roof, she locked eyes with Edward. Her eyes seemed to glow brighter and her face grew stoney.
"Fuck you, Edward."
The words held so much venom that they were all rooted to their spots with shock.
She swung the bat over her head and brought it down with more force than anyone knew she possessed, shattering the rear windshield into a million little pieces.
Even though her heart and soul belonged to him, she would no longer fight and beg trying keep him. Bella had more self respect than that. Edward has shown time and again that he had little respect for her. Underneath the Edwardian era gentleman was a controlling, egotistical, insecure seventeen year old boy.
Bella was not a woman of his era. She wouldn't bow down and allow him to treat her like a helpless maiden. She may be merely human but she was not weak.
She had began to wonder if Edward was truly capable of loving a woman like her? Strong willed, stubborn and wild.
