[Percy]
Percy Jackson was rather used to waking up to mysterious and baffling circumstances - it's part of being a demigod.
From being woken by Nico hovering over him, pouting, because his dad had another dinner table argument with Demeter and Persephone so he needs a place to crash, to the Stoll brothers' latest prank making him sneeze himself to awareness, to Annabeth shouting at him to wake up because a monster found them. Percy was used to being woken up and having no idea what's going on.
But this time⦠This time is different.
For one, he's been woken up by Smelly Gabe shouting at him to "Get your lazy ass up, brat!"
Another, is being tiny with no muscles.
Lastly, was mom giving him a peck on the cheek and leaving to go to work at 'Sweet on America,' despite quitting that job years ago.
Annabeth would be proud at how fast he reaches the conclusion of Time Travel, yet annoyed at his impossible answer when there might be more logical ones.
'Wait, no. I saw myself in the mirror. It's official, I've time traveled,' he thought.
[Nico]
When Nico wakes up in the Lotus Hotel and Casino, a sleeping Bianca beside him, he panicked.
There are multiple skeletons causing chaos in the casino when Nico drags a sleepy and confused Bianca outside, babbling insanely about time travel and escaping casino prisons and saving her this time around.
He probably looks strange when he asks a nearby adult on the street for the date and year, but it pays off when the date of "June 18th 2004" draws a sigh of relief out of him. Not too far from Percy's first quest - his father's helm and Zeus' master bolt haven't even been stolen yet.
"Nico, are you okay? What's going on?" Bianca asks, finally alert enough to register that something is off.
"Bianca, this is going to sound insane but I'm pretty certain I just time travelled."
She stares at me before frustration comes over her, "Nico! This is not one of your little games! Let's get back into the hotel."
"Bi, I know this is weird, but we can't go back to the hotel."
"Why not?"
Instead of answering, I summoned a ball of darkness and shadows into my palm.
She looks like she's about to faint, "H- how?"
Nico frowns, "I have no idea, but I do know it must have to do with who our father is."
"Our father?"
"Lord Hades, god of the underworld." He answers seriously, "So I think we're going to need some help from some friends."
[Annabeth]
Annabeth nearly had a heart attack when she woke up in the Athena Cabin at camp instead of where she should be in New Rome.
This is the wrong place, even worse, she is most definitely not in the right time either.
There are Campers that she knows are dead yet are wandering around camp as if nothing was wrong. Campers that should be here are not. Everyone looks younger than they are supposed to be. She looks younger than she should be!
The date reads summer of 2004 even though this should be impossible.
Annabeth is somehow over a decade in the past and she doesn't know how she got here.
A small part of her is thinking, 'What do the gods want me to do NOW?'
Well, first things first, figure out what exactly is happening and make a plan.
"Annabeth, are you okay?" Her older brother asks, "You're really pale, do you need to go to the infirmary?"
She stared at her undead sibling with wide eyes. Actually, the first thing is to not have a mental breakdown at the walking dead that have no idea about their future.
[Luke]
When Luke woke up in the overcrowded Cabin 11, he thought that this is some sort of punishment.
Last thing he remembers is killing himself then standing at the gates of Elysium, ready to enter. It must be some cruel joke, the gods must be laughing at his expense, he was back at the beginning.
He almost expected for the Furies to come out and start torturing him, or perhaps some psychological torture by watching himself make the same mistakes again and destroy his family over and over again, but nothing happened.
He was back before he ever made any mistakes; a second chance was given to right his wrongs.
He was like a pale ghost all day, wandering listlessly around camp, watching it be alive in a way he forgot it being, smiling softly while crying whenever someone tried to talk to him.
He could save everyone, he could fix things, and he would die for his family all over again.
[Apollo]
Apollo was freaking out.
He had somehow come to awareness in his temple on Olympus.
This should not be possible.
He had fallen asleep in his mortal body, like he has for the past three years - ever since he rejected his father's offer of reinstating his godhood. He should have woken up in his mortal body at Camp Half-Blood, not in his godly self in Olympus.
His godly strength was back, so was his godly body and mind, but it felt wrong, as if it's several years out of date.
His future sight was cloudier and more confusing than ever before - even worse than during the Great Prophecies. Something was definitely wrong; someone has messed with Fate.
Free-Will was the only thing that could overpower Fate like this, but it was usually so intertwined with Fate that most of his prophecies are self-fulfilling and near inescapable. So rarely was it that a hero's Free-Will made his prophecies null and blinded his Sight.
It took him far too long as to why his body felt too young, he was so consumed with Free-Will and Fate. His body was too young because HE was too young. It was 2004, and a full year before Perseus Jackson got claimed. The first Great Prophecy of the 21st Century wasn't even in effect yet.
His sight is clouded because he was clouding it. He was not where he was supposed to be.
A/N
Hey Y'all, Izzy here!
So, this is my first time using , I have no idea how to use this format and this is currently the third time I've replaced this chapter because stuff is wrong with it. If you notice something off (No line breaks, random 'em', random html code, no pov change marks, etc) tell me and also if you know how to fix it, help me, because I'm new here.
The first dozen chapters are prewritten and already posted on ao3, this is just a cross-posting.
Also, this fic is purely self-indulgence. It's plot will be a backseat to simple Character Development, Relationships, Arcs. I wrote this to just go, 'wonder what they'd do in this situation' and then got bored enough to post it and it got popular on ao3. So like, don't ask for plot. I write characterisations only. If someone is ooc, i did it on purpose.
