Ryder walked into Mayor Goodway's office, a framed picture of her cousin who apparently was killed the year before was hung right above her desk. Ryder sat down. "Hi Mayor Goodway! Is something wrong? You sounded a bit upset when you called me." He said.

Mayor Goodway looked at him with worried eyes. "Well, you see Ryder, two kids went missing the other day. Their mom raced into my office not long ago, begging me to do something about it. I don't know how to deal with this kind of stuff-"

Footsteps outside of her office could be heard as someone scurried by. Then, a scream.

"HOLY SHI-"

BOOM!

The whole office shook, some shelf decorations falling to the ground and shattering. Ryder immediately got up from his seat and opened the door. Flames engulfed the hallways, and the only exit without dying was Mayor Goodway's window. Ryder quickly closed the door. "We have to climb out that window NOW!" Ryder yelled while running over to the window.

Mayor Goodway quickly grabbed her purse, but she couldn't see Chickeletta. "Where's-"

"FORGET THAT GOD DAMN CHICKEN LET'S GO!" Ryder screamed as he opened the window. Mayor Goodway has never seen Ryder this angry before, but after staring at him in shock for a second she nodded and went over to the window. "You go." She said. Ryder shook his head. "You can go it's fine!" Mayor Goodway said, not aware of the door catching on fire. Ryder was very aware of it. He quickly climbed out the window and stuck his hand back in for Mayor Goodway to grab. She was about to grab it when suddenly,

BLAM!

Ryder flinched as blood splattered his face. Mayor Goodway fell to the ground, a hole in her forehead. Ryder opened his eyes and screamed, but he heard crumbling. Ryder quickly ran in the opposite direction for about fifteen yards before falling to the ground. He looked behind him to see City Hall explode. Fire burst out of every window, the roof of the building was blown off. In the corner of his eye, he saw Alex running out of the building, Ryder's eyes widened when he realized the roof was falling in Alex's direction. "Alex!" He yelled.

It was too late. The roof fell right on top of Alex, flames spreading around it. Some blood splattered when it hit him, confirming he was dead. Ryder just stared for a moment, then he saw the PAW Patrol coming from down the street. They were extremely concerned when they saw the blood on his face. "Ryder! What happened?"

One week later, Mayor Goodway's, Alex's, and thirteen other people's funerals took place. Everyone's heads hung low, and a tear could be seen sliding down Ryder's face. All fifteen caskets were laid out in a row, flowers on each of them. The sun made the caskets a bright orange color. A man in a black suit stood in front of them. "We gather here to-"

The man started to cough. Ryder looked up and asked "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, thanks,"

The man stopped coughing but then wrinkled his nose. "Do you smell smoke?" He asked. Ryder shook his head.

"I do."

Ryder looked confused. Then, he screamed as a Molotov cocktail crashed into the man. The man screamed as well and fell to the ground, shaking furiously. Everyone who a few moments ago were crying and full of sorrow, were now running and full of panic. Trees caught on fire as gunshots rang out. The PAW Patrol ran as fast as they could, but helping people who fell. He couldn't see it well, but Rocky thought he saw a woman's abdomen briefly burst with blood. He couldn't see what happened to the woman afterward. Ryder looked behind him to see all but one of the caskets go up in flames. The one that didn't catch on fire was none other than Mayor Goodway's casket. It was closed and on top of it was a man, maybe in his mid-thirties. He had short, blond hair and dark blue eyes. In his right hand he held an AUG that was firing into the crowd Ryder was running in.

The PAW Patrol escaped and once they got back to the Lookout, a pure look of terror came across Chase's face.

"Where's Skye?"

Everyone looked around, but Skye was nowhere to be found.

"We have to go back!" Chase yelled.

"Hold on."

Ryder ran over to the TV and turned it on.

FUNERAL GARDEN IN ADVENTURE BAY HAS GONE UP IN FLAMES. SURVIVORS REPORT A MAN WITH BLOND HAIR SHOOTING AT RESIDENTS AND THROWING MOLOTOV COCKTAILS. TWENTY-SEVEN CONFIRMED DEAD INCLUDING A MEMBER OF THE

"NO!" Chase screamed as he read the last two words of the headline.

PAW PATROL

Meanwhile...

A man named Xander Fellingham sat on his old chair in his living room. He read the headline, then heard a giggle. His boyfriend, Frank Simmons, was standing right behind him, a White Claw in his hand.

"Damn, is that the best you can do? You unloaded two whole magazines back there and only got twenty-seven down?"

"At least I got a member of the PAW Patrol. You barely got a member of that one middle school's science club, dipstick!"

They both laughed. Xander got up and opened a cabinet in the kitchen. Several handguns were stored in there, all of them fully loaded.

"Y'know, those Piss Patrol or whatever you call em are probably busy bawling their dumbass eyes out, they probably aren't expecting a little bit of a surprise."

Frank looked at him like he was crazy. "You're gonna take them all out with that?"

Xander looked down at the Beretta M9 he held, and then looked back at Frank.

"What? Hell no. If I wanted to take them all out I would bring a P90 or some crazy shit like that. Besides, I'm pretty sure I would get caught if I did it right at the lookout."

Frank laughed.

"Says the guy who set a damn funeral garden on fire and got away with it!"

Xander smirked evilly.

"That was pure luck. Tonight, I'm taking one hostage. The plan is to torch the place, and while those bastards are running out, you're gonna scream on the sidewalk, sayin' you've been hurt by a glass shard that flew out. And while they are running to you, there's always one that is at the back right? It used to be that Rubble dog, but he died a bit ago. Now it's a dog named Chase. I'm gonna grab him while the others are helping you. If they see me, I pull the Beretta on em. It's that simple."

Frank looked confused.

"Well they'll see that I'm not actually hurt. How do I make it seem like I'm hurt?"

Xander grinned wickedly.

"The answer to that question is also quite simple."

Xander pointed the gun to Frank's left leg.

BLAM!

Frank screamed as he fell to the ground. Xander quickly got gauze and wrapped it around the wound. Frank looked at Xander, terrified.

"You're going to remove the bandage, toss it in some bushes, and let yourself bleed."

Frank passed out, but before he did, he gave a weak nod.

"Good. Also, I might get a bit carried away with the fire. I could watch something burn for days."

Xander laughed and got back on his chair, waiting for Frank to wake up.

2:00 A.M.

The PAW Patrol is sound asleep, except Chase. He sobbed quietly in his puphouse. Occasionally he would slam his head against the walls of his puphouse, ignoring the pain. Suddenly, he hears a bottle break. Then another. And yet another. He opened his puphouse door to see The Lookout ablaze. He sees Ryder running out of the Lookout, frantic, shaking puphouses to wake everyone up. Chase runs out.

"Ryder! What's happening?" He asked.

Ryder didn't answer. After everyone was awake, they scared in shock as the Lookout crumbled in some places, but most of it was part of a massive fire that brightened up the night.

"HELP!!"

Frank lay on the sidewalk, blood pouring out of his leg.

The PAW Patrol ran over to him. Like the criminals had planned, Chase was running at the rear. Xander quickly jumped from the bushes and grabbed Chase and put a hand over his mouth. Chase bit down hard on his hand, causing Xander to scream. The PAW Patrol turned around, seeing him.

"Shit." He muttered.

He clutched Chase to his chest and pushed the gun into Chase's temple.

"I'll kill him! I'll... I'll kill him!"

The other pups got ready to attack but Ryder stopped them.

"Let him go."

Xander wrapped his finger around the trigger and was about to pull it when suddenly-

"AAGH!"

Chase bit right into his neck and pulled out large hunk of flesh and even his jugular. Blood sprayed from the wound as Xander gurgled. He fell to the ground, allowing Chase to escape. Frank watched in horror as his boyfriend bled out in the grass and after about a minute, died. Ryder walked up to the corpse and picked up the pistol. He then went over to Frank, a look of sorrow and regret in his eyes.

"Just... just do it."

Ryder hesitated, but then decided.

BLAM!

A year later the Lookout was reconstructed as well as City Hall. Ryder was officially the new mayor of Adventure Bay, even though he was barely in his teens at this point, but he did more for Adventure Bay than Mayor Goodway did in her life. He sat in his office, just staring out the window. The crime rate in Adventure Bay dropped by seventy percent. Ryder was slightly startled when Rocky burst through the door.

"Ryder! Katie wants to know if you want to go out for dinner tonight at six o' clock!"

Ryder chuckled.

"Tell her I'd love to."

Rocky giggled before sprinting right back through the doors.

Ryder giggled as well.
