Today we find our friends taking a breather on the lush bank of a lazy river. With time to think, Ash has come to an important realisation...

"This is a boring way to catch Pokémon." Ash exaggeratedly moans.

"Be quiet." an irritated Misty seethes.

"I could've gone out and caught 10 of 'em by now." Ash shrugs.

"Would you please shut your mouth!?" Misty snaps.

"Don't you think we should give up?" Ash continues to pester.

"Quiet!" Misty moans in frustration.

"Brock, what do you think?" Ash asks Brock, sitting a bit further away.

"Maybe we're using the wrong bait...?" Brock ponders.

"How long are we gonna have to sit here like this...?" An exasperated Ash sighs, staring down in boredom.

"I know it seems boring, but if we're really quiet, maybe it'll only take another hour?" Misty suggests.

"As long as you're quiet, I don't care if we're here another two hours." Ash smirks.

"Agh! If you're the one complaining about everything then why don't you be quiet!?" Misty shouts in a fury frenzy, before a sudden tug at her line gets her attention.

"Hey!" Ash cheers. "You got something!"

"Reel it in, Misty!" Brock smiles.

She turns and gasps with excitement before trying desperately to pull her catch in, while the others gather around to bask in reflected glory.

"Gosh, it must be humongous!" Misty struggles to control the rod.

"Don't let it get away!" Ash cheers on. Misty tugs, pulls and hauls on the line as her companions watch with great excitement. Whatever is on the line, it is not coming up easy.

With an almighty pull, Misty wrenches her catch from the river with a mighty explosion of water and everybody looks on in wonder, before Brock's face falls and he asks, "What is it?"

"I think I just caught a tea-kettle," Misty mutters, staring at the rusty kettle attached to the end of her line."

"It put up a good fight though." placates Ash.

"Could you throw it back and try for a coffee-maker?" asks Brock.

I CAME HERE TO CATCH POKEMON, NOT APPLIANCES!" screams Misty, who decides to bring out the big guns and looks inside her bag.

"What are ya gonna use, Misty?" Ash raises an eyebrow.

"My secret weapon!" Misty nods. "Introducing...the Mini-Misty Lure!" Misty soars out as she pulls out the super awesome number one hundred percent Mini-Misty Fishing Lure from the bag.

"It looks like her." whispers Brock to Ash with quiet terror as he looks at the small little lure which looks like a midget version of Misty with a super-hero cape on it.

"Isn't that just going to scare the Water Pokemon?" Ash asks.

Misty's fury booms again as she turns to the two boys. "QUIET! It's not like you two have any better ideas!"

Brock scratches his head before lighting up with a smile. "Oh, I know! I'll use my trusty frying pan, as a diving pan!" Brock exclaims in joy, as he whips out a stainless steel pan.

"W-what!? That is foolish! The Mini-Misty Fishing Lure will get the job done! You're about to see the dazzling technique of Misty the water Pokemon master!" Misty exclaims as she goes about casting her fishing rod.

"Since when are you a water Pokemon master?" Ash chuckles. "I betcha the frying pan will beat the Mini Misty."

Attaching a makeshift fishing line within the pan, Brock smiles in glee. "Here goes nothing!" With that, Brock sends the pan flying like a discuss. As soon as one second passes, Brock's eyes go wide as he realises the pan is headed straight towards Ash and Misty.

"I've always had a fascination with water Pokem-" Misty is suddenly interrupted.

"Hey! Look out!" Brock yells out, to which Ash darts his head and imminently leaps to the side. Unfortunately, Misty's focus is directly on her rod - the moment she turns her head, CLANG.

Misty's world turns black as she drops to the ground, unconscious. The frying pan and fishing rod follow suit.

"Misty!" Ash runs over to the fallen girl, as does Brock. "Misty? Are you okay?" Ash snaps his fingers next to Misty's face.

"Yikes, she's out cold..." Brock rustles his hair with a nervous chuckle.

"Uh-oh..." Ash facepalms. "Misty? Is anyone hooome? Hulllo?" Ash waves his hand at Misty. "Wakey-wakey..."

"At least my pan is okay!" Brock cheers as he picks up the pan. "I guess my trusty frying pan, was an outlying pan!"

"Hmph." Ash crosses his arms. "Well, I guess I was kinda right...the pan ended up beating the Misty..."

"Okay, turns out it was not a good idea..." Brock sighs in embarrassment. "Looks like my trusty frying pan, was a lying pa-"

"We get it!" Ash yells with a facepalm. After a brief moment of awkwardly staring down at Misty, Ash and Brock look at each other in confusion. "Soo...what do we do now?" Brock ponders.

"We just gotta wait for her to wake up, I guess..." Ash sighs. "Now this fishing stop is gonna take forever!" Ash lets out an exasperated moan.

"It's not all that bad, right?" Brock nudges Ash in a friendly manner. "Friendly fishing with friends."

"Well, it's fine, it's just that Misty's always on my cas-" Ash's mouth gasps open. "Oh...No wonder why the atmosphere felt so peaceful all of a sudden!" Ash chuckles.

"That Mini-Misty thing sure gives me the heebie-jeebies!" Brock bites his fingers in terror.

"Oh right, her fishing rod." Ash slowly walks over to her rod. "Let's see if this Mini-Misty is all she's cracked up to be."

Ash picks up the rod off the ground. As he clutches it in his palm, a sudden light blue Pokemon - a Totodile, jumps straight from the river, right next to the three.

"Hubba bubba! That thing worked like a charm!" Brock waves his arms around in excitement.

"This lure is half the size, but double the usefulness!" Ash giggles.

"Welp, I guess you got a brand new Pokemon to add to your collection now!" Brock gives a thumbs-up. "You caught it fair and square."

"Hmmm..." Ash places a finger on his chin in thought.
