Kay soon marched to where the school was located as she knew that this was it. After radioing Olivia about the victory, she knew she needed to hurry up so they could turn their forces against Brook who most likely fell back to a much more defensive position. Naomi was standing by her as the students were busy cleaning up the mess the rebels had left as Kay looked at the school.

"It's a mess, we might as well keep the construction crews busy and pay them a ton of money for them to repair the school and get it back into shape. Other than that we should be able to continue the advance." Kay told Naomi. Erika was listening to the radio as she was speaking to Alisa who was at the other end of the ship with Kinuyo and Olivia. Erika soon spoke to Kay.

"Kay, Alisa wishes to speak to you, she wants to catch up on some news as she managed to make some headway with the 2nd group we have on the ship." Erika told her as she handed Kay the radio. Kay puts the head-set on as Alisa began speaking.

"Hey Kay we managed to capture the 174 meter hill. Kaya-san suffered some 180 injured students and Yuri about over a 100. We managed to secure the hill and now Kaya-san is begging for reinforcements. Since she is almost there and you received 1,600 students on your end." Alisa began speaking as she wanted to address this to Kay as Kay forgot about what Alisa was going to need to accomplish their goals.

"Yes I have and they came in handy today, I managed to have my first battle with Brook and I won. We're turning the tide of the rebellion and we managed to get the school back. Well looking at it won't get it cleaned up." Kay responded as she was very excited to see the battle that she managed to engage and win. She was wondering about how Alisa was holding out but Erika was tapping her foot as she was losing her patience.

"Okay we'll talk to you later, bye." Alisa told her before she hung up. Kay soon got off the radio as Naomi and Erika soon walked over with Darjeeling, Orange Pekoe and Assam.

"Hey Kay, what's the news with Alisa?" Darjeeling asked as she was wondering about what exactly was happening. Kay soon turned as she began to speak to her.

"Kaya-san's forces have taken the 174 meter hill and Yuri is now trapped in her own port. The 203 meter hill is something I'm worried about as that hill is the highest point on the ship and has much strategic value for both sides. Since Kaya-san gave out the call for reinforcements, I will send a small detachment of the newly arrived students from the schools as they are mobilizing everything they have at this point, I'll still take the large amount of the troops as I want to deal heavy damage to Brook again since 1,911 losses on her end, to Kay that simply wasn't enough.

Kay had marshalled about 17,000 students on her end as the losses were great so she decided to bring up extras to help with this assault. Brook had about 21,000 as Brook still held the numbers advantage but this battle was going to determine their fate. Kay had decided to separate into the three usual groups, left, right and center. The right was going to be handled by Naomi, Kay was leading the center and Maho Nishizumi was leading the left as Darjeeling decided to stay behind and help clean up the school. Brook decided to deploy her forces in several groups as she was going to try to counter attack from the sides as she made the standard western and eastern detachments, along with 3 other groups and some special dragoon cavalry the schools were willing to hand her some horses as she was hoping this would change her fortunes as well as reserves right where she was and like last time, she was going to be staying as far from the battlefield as possible.

The battle would soon come at night time as they decided to use the cover of darkness to their advantage. The scouts Brook had sent out were loosely scattered as Kay knew this was the perfect opportunity to capture them off guard. Soon the center force charged at the scouts that were busy keeping their guard. Kay soon charged forth with her group as they wanted to capture the scouts and see where they were going to go. One of her students ran up to her as she tackled the guard down. The student was trying to wiggle free as it was dragged into the brush and was knocked out. Another student ran up as she raised the airsoft rifle she was given. She fired a shot but the shot skims through, missing the student as she missed. One of the Saunders students fell short as she finished cocking the rifle before firing another shot, hitting one of the students that managed to fall short before her friend came along and bashed the student over the head. Three more came forth to hold the students back as the rest began to retreat.

The scouts charged forth as they were now leading this offensive. They screamed as the three students prepared to defend the so-called front with their lives. They began firing their shots off as the students charged out as they hollered loudly. They fired their shots blankly into the night. Two students from Kay's forces came out as they were promptly met with a couple of BB's to their bodies as they were slowed down. Two more came from the front as they knocked down the students while screaming. A third shot her airsoft rifle into the last member as she soon clubbed it with the stock of her rifle. They managed to take out 5 of them but the rest retreated into the night. They decided to pursue them.

The sun was rising the next day as the defenders had made a long line of trenches with many different smaller pill boxes as well as barbed wire, the two groups were arranged in a three trench system as they were getting ready to begin the attack. This day was particularly sunny so they had a clear view ahead. One of the students sees Kay's forces advancing on them and with the ground perfectly flat, they knew they were going to take them on. Soon the students from the right detachment opened fire.

Upon receiving fire from the enemy, Kay's forward scouting force retreated back to their lines. Once they were safely out of range of the rebel's trench works, they made their way towards the command tent, revealing the three commanders. Naomi, Kay, and Maho looked up as the girl gave her report.

"The enemy has dug a line of trenches, three layers deep." She reported, "As far as their numbers go, we have no idea. Though we believe they have artillery set up."

"Any tanks?" Kay asked.

"Not that I'm aware of." The scout replied.

"Alright." Kay replied, "Here's what we're going to do. Brook has made it clear that she intends to dig in. We're going to deploy our artillery pieces and rain down shells on their position for the rest of the day. While we do that, we're going to deploy our machine guns in defensive positions, keeping our tanks ready to engage a counter assault from them. We'll keep them awake with the artillery throughout the night and then deploy smoke to cover an armored spearhead late tomorrow afternoon."

"I'll keep those guns firing." Naomi promised.

"Then Maho and I will lead the assault." Kay said, "Good luck to you Naomi."

Naomi merely nodded her head as the three girls swiftly exited the tent, giving out their orders to their subordinates to bring their plan to fruition.

The right flank continued to open up as they had just finished loading the cloth belts to the Airsoft PM M1910's as they began to open up as they wanted to be able take out Kay's force. Soon one of the leaders of the right detachment ran over as they knew they needed to stop the random gun fire.

"Cease fire! I encourage you not to waste ammunition especially since we aren't getting any new shipments until next week as we need to conserve the limited supplies that we have." The leader of the right detachment told the students as the BB fire was withered down to nothing as everything was silenced. They decided to carry on with their day and decide whether or not trying to fortify the area a bit more was the best course of action.

Before they could decide, however, the ground around the defensive trenches went up in a huge cloud of smoke. Before long, the entire line erupted in intense shelling from the combined guns of Saunders, giving all those that stood one of two options: Stay out and get hit by a shell or take cover and wait out the bombardment.

Several shells exploded within the trench as a couple of Maxim machine gun nests were taken out. The students from the explosions scattered while the students getting shelled got out of their trenches as they decided to run for cover. Many of the other shells landed around the trench as these shells while not hitting the trenches directly, were really close. They would only return to the trench once the bombardment had stopped. Late in the afternoon the next day. Many would have to sleep in their improvised cover positions, only waking when an artillery shell detonated their improvised bunks during the long bombardment.

The attackers, on the other hand, were well rested. The defenders would be met the next day with a long line of tanks slowly moving towards their position, infantry behind them as they slowly lumbered forward, giving an overwhelming feeling to the outgunned defenders.

"Open fire." Kay ordered as they rolled forward. The students looked out of their trenches as they had been demoralized by the entirety of the artillery attacks and therefore were very tired and irritable. But still, they raised their rifles as they prepared to fire and seeing the overwhelming attack force coming down onto them, many of their surviving Maxim guns were stripped from other sectors to try to deal with Kay directly. Since these Maxim guns had wheel mounts, transporting them was a lot easier but it would still take about 10 minutes to get one of them from one position to another. Once Kay got into a desirable range for them, they began to return fire with their airsoft weapons in the hopes of knocking out a student or two.

As the rifles pinged off of Kay's tank, she couldn't help but smile to herself. From this range, anti-tank weaponry would be easy to use against her lines. The only reason why one wouldn't would be because they lacked such a weapon to fight back with. Still, she was hesitant to get too aggressive. She had experience with being arrogant and she was not about to get that way now. Her army slowly pushed over the field, taking casualties of their own from lucky shots from the defenders.

The forces on the right flank were still holding but by the looks of things, they were out gunned. One of the students soon went out to find one of the field phones so she could give the call back to get help whether it be the left detachment to come along to their aid. She picked up the phone as she began to call.

"Hello this is the right detachment, we're out-gunned and Kay's tanks are getting close, we request permission to have the left detachment to come to our aid." She responded. The one in the center soon began to call back as it was clear her calls were going to go unanswered.

"Sorry permission denied as we're keeping that there to make sure that we aren't flanked so keep holding the best you can." The student from the other side denied access to use the left detachment but she was soon becoming worried as the students were slowly going to get demolished under the attack of the guns. She soon gulped as she knew she had a difficult choice to face.

"Permission to retreat to the second trench while the artillery covers us?" She asked, wondering if they could fall back to the second line of defense. Soon the call came back to her.

"Permission granted but give us a few so we can get the artillery set up." The student from the other side gave the authorization but they were going to have to hold for a few more minutes while the rest of the guns were set up and primed. She raced back to support the team to help them hold.

Kay's tanks crept closer to the line. Before they could reach it, however, the lead tank stopped. It aimed its turret at the trench just as a wave of infantry surged forward, straight towards the defensive lines. The Maxim machine guns left on the defensive line opened up, cutting down the sudden attackers. Soon the defender's field phone rang as the student picked it up.

"Artillery primed and ready to fire." The student responded. Soon she nodded as she signaled for the crew to stop. As she began making the call.

"We are pulling back from this position as we fear we're going to get overrun with the amount of tanks they have, pick up everything you can carry and let's fall back." She told them. Soon the crews of the M1910's picked up their weapons from the grips as they began towing them back. The other students followed suit taking a few last shots at Kay's crew as they fell back. The Artillery opened up as they wanted to cover their retreat back to the second line of defenses.

"They're falling back?" Kay wondered. Her answer came from artillery splashing around her. "Oh yeah, they're falling back." She turned to the radio and hailed Naomi and Maho, "The right flank has withdrawn to the secondary line. Push forward-"

"Kay, we've got a problem."

Kay looked out of her tank to one of her infantry standing out there. She was shaking her head, "That second line is held tight. They've secured it well with reserves. We're over extended as is already."

"We can't let up…" Kay said, then frowned, "Damn it. Everyone, fall back to our defensive line. We'll keep them suppressed by artillery and see if we can't either get reinforced or draw them into our own killing fields."

"But we're so-" The radio chided.

"I know, but if we keep pushing, we'll bring ourselves into a trap." Kay said as an artillery shell ripped open another tank, "We're pulling back. We'll keep them awake with artillery, doubling the time for the strikes."

"If you say so…"

With that out of the way, the remnants of Kay's army swiftly withdrew from the field, quickly making their way back to their defensive lines as their own artillery strikes slammed into the ground around Brook's army, daring them to move forward to chase down Kay's retreat.

The left detachment watching this entire time looked out as they knew Kay's forces were in full retreat. One of the male students picked up his field phone as he looked out to his superior.

"Kay's force has withdrawn, permission to pursue her since we want to deliver a knock-out blow to her force?" He asked as he was going to organize the troops into an offensive. The field phone rang as the one on the other side began speaking.

"Permission granted but watch out since Kay might have more students back as we know of but don't know the exact number so be ready to spring onto your back foot and retreat." The student responded as he nodded. Soon he motioned for them to get out from the trench and chase Kay's forces down. The entirety of the left detachment was going after Kay.

They were instantly met by a surge of artillery smashing into their assault. But other than the artillery, nothing stopped them as they chased down Kay's force. That was, at least, until they ran into Kay's own prepared defenses. Once they were in range, Kay's Hotchkiss machine guns opened up, tearing down the students of the left detachment by the dozens. The turrets of her tanks turned around and added to the defensive firing while her artillery divisions kept peppering the ground around the attackers.

The students soon knew they were in a precarious position as they were getting peppered on by Hotchkiss Machine guns, while the 30 round feed trays weren't as useful as the 250 round cloth belts, they were still giving the students a hard time as the knew they needed to retreat to avoid anymore losses. He soon gave the signal as he raised his rifle.

"Retreat!" He shouted as they turned around and began to withdraw from the killing fields. Some students kneeled down as they provided cover fire to help their friends withdraw back to their trenches. The overall counter attack was a failure as it took about 10 minutes before they all withdrew from the scene to avoid the mounting casualties from taking a big spike. In their haste, they had completely left their first line of defenses abandoned as they withdrew to the second line.

The students on the second lines of defenses were going to be in for a really rough time as Kay's artillery had been bombing their trenches into submission. Worried that a second attack was imminent, debating on whether to abandon the second line by many means would be the best option. In opposition they knew that they were going to stay and hold out for as long as possible until more supplies and reinforcements arrived but that wasn't going to be for another week or so. In the end. One of the smaller forces came forth to reinforce the left detachment ignoring the fact that the right detachment took casualties from Kay's first attack. If Kay could strike the right detachment and cause a break-through with the left detachment pinned and unable to come to their aid, they would be completely cut off and encircled.

A small group of students came along as they went to gather intel on their positions as they wanted to see the condition that left the other forces in. They continued to look around as they knew that shelling their positions wasn't going to be enough, sensing this, Naomi soon slipped off with the scouting force as she wanted to report this to Kay.

Kay was far off as she was shelling their forces into submission as Naomi returned with the jeep as she got off, she had been gone for a while so she decided to tell Kay about what she had found out about.

"Kay. We know what's going on." Naomi began. Kay was organizing the reinforcements as she looked at Naomi.

"Begin." Kay told her wondering if she knew what was going on. Naomi began to explain what was happening as she cleared her voice.

"They didn't reinforce their right right detachment, only the left one received any form or help, if we can break through the right detachment, and you can cut around the fields to the left-side while Maho pins the left detachment down, we can encircle them and wipe them out." Naomi began. Kay looked at the plans as she was drawing them out. Kay soon looked at the fields as she knew full well that they were just recently cut. She soon got an idea.

"Naomi, did you check those fields?" Kay asked, wondering if they managed to check the recently trimmed fields. Naomi looked at her as she began to speak.

"Yes I have and they got nothing defending it. I say we begin the offensive plan now and head out under the cover of darkness and catch them off balance." Naomi suggested. Kay nodded as she knew that an encirclement like that could effectively mean thousands of students trapped and taken into her hands. She smiled as she knew that one thing could be done.

"I ordered this attack." Kay told Naomi that she was going to try to pull off an encirclement. Naomi nodded as they went to gather their forces together.

The sun was setting and the forces of the left detachment were still debating on whether or not staying in their positions was really the best course of action. During this time the defenses of the second line on the left detachment were being stripped away as Brook came over to see how they were doing.

"I sense you failed on your counter attack to try to Drive Kay away from the field, this could have been our first victory in this entire rebellion and you just blew it!" Brook shouted as she slammed her fists down onto the table as she knew that they needed to fall back. She soon sighed after calming down a bit. She decided to finalize the order. "Withdraw back to camp, we're all leaving tonight. Kay can have this battle but no more." Brook soon got up as she left as this battle was already stressing her out. It was clear, everyone was going to be withdrawing from their lines of defense as they were retreating from the field. Unknown to her, Kay was sending everything she had into the field as she was getting ready to deliver the finishing blow.

Kay, Naomi and Maho headed into the field as Maho was heading head on, Naomi was assisting her as she was heading onto the defenses of the left detachment. Kay was now heading into a flanking move as she wanted to encircle the Left detachment entirely. Naomi rolled to their secondary trenches as she looked over as she began to report this to Kay.

"Kay, the rebels have completely abandoned the second line of defenses, I'm assuming probably they are withdrawing from the field as we had slammed into their fields and would want to escape with most of their forces intact." Naomi gave the report as Kay looked over as she began thinking about this. She soon had an idea.

"We'll attack them at night, when we manage to catch them in the darkness, they won't have any idea what is going on and we'll send the infantry in to pin them down while their forces retreat." Kay told them as she was out lining the plan, Kay nodded as the students continued to press onward.

In the cover of darkness, Kay's infantry squad was leading the way as the tanks were shining light to keep a close eye on the infantry, soon a galloping sound was heard as Kay looked around wondering where they were coming from. Nothing, she ordered them to keep pushing forth. Soon a loud neighing sound was heard as the students came charging from the underbrush mounted on their dragoons as they were going to try to break the lines to try to slow their advance. The students looked up to see the mounted horses coming right for them. They raised their airsoft rifles as they began firing in an attempt to take some of these cavalry down. Kay turned the turret of the tank and fired, sending some the horses to a screeching halt while a couple were flung. The cavalry drew their lances as they began jabbing them into the student's torsos as they were determined to take them down. A couple of jeeps with Hotchkiss Machine guns rolled up as they began firing at the Dragoons. The horses reared into the air crying out as they were now falling over, the remaining Dragoons continued their charge determined to take as many of these students down but with the searchlights from the jeeps and tanks, this was easier said than done as they were just slaughtering them. The horses got up as they ran off into the night as the remaining dragoons retreated under the cover of darkness. Kay had lost about 225 of the infantry in this attack but she managed to fend off and wipe about 400 of the dragoons out. She decided to take the injured students to the rear as she went to finish off the rebel's line of defenses.

Kay soon arrived as many flares were going up along with artillery shells, it was clear the battle was no long organized and in the confusion of the darkness, no one could really see anything that well as many students were getting shot down by Brook's rebels that were using everything they could muster to try to fend them off. Naomi soon spoke to Kay on the radio.

"Brook's forces are panicking as they aren't retreating in general order, with these we can conclude we managed to attack them at the right moment as this possibly the darkest night I could ever see, now take your forces and encircle these 2,000 or somewhat students that are trying to hold us off." Naomi ordered Kay to completely cut off their forces as fierce fighting was happening along a small salient where the tanks and jeeps have arrived to block the exit. Kay nodded as she knew she had a job to do. The tanks soon sped ahead as she intended in cutting the salient forces off as many of them arrived as they looked to see they had sprung their own demise. Kay's tank force had arrived as it was clear that these students had nowhere else to go. They slowly got up as they signaled their surrender seeing how a large portion of Brook's army was going to be liquidated.

Morning revealed the results of the battle from the night. About an additional 1,385 students from Kay's forces were injured in the confusion of the night time battle. Brook's forces were in much worse shape. About another 2,275 were injured or captured by Saunders. Naomi and Maho looked at Kay as she was treating one of her friend's feet whom she injured herself in the battle last night.

"We definitely hit Brook hard with this battle huh?" Maho asked as her tank was scratched in several places. Kay looked at the Kuromorimine volunteer as she began speaking.

"Yes we did, the night time battle definitely left a dent on her numbers as the artillery guns couldn't see who they were firing upon and at the same time, we couldn't either so we might have caused friendly fire I'm afraid." Kay responded as she finished patching that student up. Maho looked at her as she began speaking again.

"It's the reason why firecracker rounds are being viewed with such suspicion, they say they're too dangerous and they're right. On a tank they can simulate rounds fired at a tank but at a student, they say this is being brought into question as the arms would have to be heavily revised." Maho finished up as Erika and the others arrived as they were bringing extra blankets to escort the injured students back to be treated for their injuries. Erika looked at Maho.

"Congrats you three on taking on those forces, I'm impressed with the encirclement you pulled off and despite the fact you got mowed down in certain areas, you pushed back as you never gave in." Erika told them as she was happy to see that this was another battle won. Kay nodded as she began speaking.

"Well one or two more major battles like these and we can knock Brook out completely." Kay sighed as she knew this girl couldn't keep this up much longer. Naomi was wondering how one of their friends was doing.

"How are Alisa and Kinuyo holding up?" Naomi asked, wondering how those two were doing on the southern half as Erika began speaking.

"They're going to take the 203 meter hill today as they say Kaya-san sadly backed down, she isn't going to do that again. She will press on no matter what the losses are." Kay told her as she was still using her leadership name since it was the only name that she could remember

"Once that hill is taken, Yuri would have no choice but to surrender." Maho responded as she went off to speak with Erika. She turned back as she soon spoke again. "I wish this rebellion was over so we can go back to Kuromorimine, their leadership is gutted and I really want to become leader of the Sensha-do team." She walked away as Kay knew She needed to make a choice.

"Okay we'll wait until Port Arthur surrenders, we need to rest up and gather sufficient reinforcements." Kay told everyone as she wanted to make sure she had enough strength to crush Brook but she would have to wait for Olivia to do her job on her end and capture the front end of the USS George Washington.

[A/N]: A big thanks to the user TheShadowAuthor21 for helping refine the dice system which we had a lot of fun with playing around and determining the casualties on this count as this is something I would wish to try again as it would be cool to use to determine the battles. So go check out his Story based on the Civil War if you want to see what he's making. That is all.
