Brook woke up the next morning as she was once again in the hospital bed. Her right arm this time had been punctured to give her IV fluid necessary to help her. She looked over and saw her left shoulder had been stitched and patched together, a sling was over the bandages as it would serve as protection. The prize she won was right beside her as she was more than grateful to still be alive. Soon chit chatter was going on as it was Gray that was talking to Naomi and Nonna.
"I'm more than relieved to see Katyusha call for emergency services when we got the reports that a shooting was going on. We got 17 people shot, 14 students and 3 police officers, one of the officers sadly died from his wounds later that night. I am more than relieved that my daughter is okay as we were able to remove the bullet while she was unconscious, her bones are fine but it tore a hole in one of her muscles so she's going to need a splint for the next 3 to 4 weeks." Gray told the two of them as he was running through the papers. Brook sat up as she winced from the pain where she was struck last night. Naomi soon spoke.
"Any other known people that were shot last night?" Naomi asked as she wanted to figure out who else had taken some of the wounds. Gray pondered for a moment before he began reading.
"Kay was shot in the stomach last night thankfully the bullet missed her vital organs as we were able to remove it. Orange Pekoe shot twice in the right leg as we were able to remove them. The rest of the victims are in stable condition." Gray read out the reports as he continued to walk along. Naomi soon began speaking again as she wanted to find out what was happening.
"What about Himari, what happened to her?" Naomi asked about the crazed girl that opened fire. Gray looked at her as he began thinking about what had happened. Soon he remembered as he turned.
"Himari is in handcuffs and arrested about an hour after Katyusha called, so much for the fair." Gray told them as he continued to walk along. Naomi breathed a sigh of relief seeing how the head of the student council was still alive. "She's currently awaiting trial and by the looks of things she will be guilty, if they do punish her, I say she should be given the same treatment to what she did to those students." Gray gave the status about the student that went on a rampage. Nonna looked at Gray.
"An eye for an eye then?" Nonna asked as she wondered if that was what he meant. Gray looked at her as he nodded.
"Yes and I hope my daughter is the one that is willing to take care of her." Gray soon walked away as he went to tend other patients. Nonna and Naomi soon walked into the room to check on Brook. They soon opened as they looked in.
"Hello there sweetie, how are you doing?" Nonna asked as she looked at the injured student.
"I'm still a little scared about what happened last night, I refuse to go to sleep in fear of what will happen." Brook replied as it shocked her that she was shot. Nonna soon looked at her as if she agreed with the student.
"Yes, last night was very scary, especially since we weren't expecting something like this to happen and we; you know have fun." Nonna replied as she knew the girl needed something to drink. She looked at Naomi as she began speaking. "Get the cherry kompot." Naomi scratched the back of her head confused about what it was.
"Kompot? I don't know if this ship makes a kompot let alone the ship." Naomi looked at Nonna wondering about her request. "Wouldn't it make more sense to get this girl a soda or something?" Naomi asked as she wanted to compromise. Nonna looked at her as she had other words.
"No." Nonna replied as that was all she had to say. Naomi huffed in frustration as she walked away. Nonna soon looked back at Brook as she began to speak to the girl.
"According to your papers, your wound will heal quickly and you haven't been torn a whole lot. However I fear something worse will be happening, you're being discharged when lunch time comes around from what I have gathered from one of the nurses." Nonna told her about what was happening. Brook was happy to hear about this as one of the nurses entered. She began tearing away at where the needle was injected to feed her the IV fluids as it had been out for quite sometime now. Once done, Brook got up as she was going to be reunited with her friends. Things weren't going to get better for some.
The week went by as more of the injured students were discharged with Kay being the last to leave. However unknown to them, a familiar foe was going to await them. Brook meanwhile was being called for something special as Katyusha was explaining this to her.
"Well we got the news from your father, his ex who is also your mother has been arrested for supplying Himari with the gun and bullets, Himari has been pleaded guilty of attempted murder and the punishment will be a live execution." Katyusha told her about the news. Brook was wondering about this and would it be right.
"Who's the one doing the execution?" Brook asked as she was curious about this. Katyusha soon turned her head up as she knew there was only one person right enough for the job.
"You." Katyusha told her. Brook was horrified at the thought that she was being chosen to carry out the job. She tried to reason with Katyusha.
"I don't want to kill anyone in life if it's a human or the tiniest insect, life is precious and I don't want to take that away. Can't someone else do it or give her a lifetime in the gulag as her punishment?" Brook was wondering if there was a way around this. Katyusha looked at her as she began to calmly explain to her.
"Brook, there is every point where a girl grows up and you'll be one of them. Life can give birth to new life and I'm sure the police wouldn't try you for something they want you to do. It's time you started looking at the big things in life and your own future. I make sure that myself, my students and troubled ones like you take not one step back on anything, we are moving forward." Katyusha told her that nothing is going to last forever and if that something does die it can be reborn into something different. Brook knew Katyusha was right and she needed to pull through with this. She turned her head back to Katyusha as she spoke.
"Okay you have my word, I'll do it." Brook responded. Katyusha walked forth as Brook got down. Katyusha climbed onto her as Brook soon stood up, Katyusha was now riding on her as she looked down.
"We keep going forward after the day that the criminals get their rightful punishments." Katyusha told her as Brook began walking off.
Brook soon arrived at the area where Himari was told that she was going to be executed. The police officer looked at her as he placed a number of rifles on the table. He soon turned to her as he began speaking.
"Even though you feel uncomfortable about killing someone this won't go on your records since this is the intended punishment that this girl is receiving. Now grab a rifle and some bullets." He told her. Brook looked for the intended weapon of her choice as she soon grabbed an M1891/30 and one of the stripper clips. She soon piled out all of the bullets as she was now holding 5 of them in her hand, opening the bolt up, she only loaded 1 of the 5 in leaving 4 in reserve. She puts the remaining bullets in her pocket as she arrives in the area where the execution would be happening. Katyusha was in the crowd of students as this execution was live. Soon two police officers came out with a bloodied Himari as if she tried putting up a fight as she was being dragged.
"Saunders is an utter and complete disgrace to the school system. Kay is a complete and utter pig who wishes to silence the rights of the students that need the most help. Black students matter!" Himari pleaded as she hasn't changed. Brook soon arrived as she was facing the very same student that shot her in the fair. She clutched her rifle as she soon pointed it to Himari who was a couple hundred feet away. "You, I thought I killed you, you pig. Looks like you need to be shot again." Himari squirmed as the police officers held her down as Brook looked at her. She soon began to speak.
"Admit defeat at this point, there is no way you should be able to stand up to any of us. No matter how much you try to resist, there is only so much you can do. Call off this movement and tell all the black students to go back to their home country and we can possibly think of sparing you." Brook told her as she was giving her one last chance to think about. Himari, enraged, decided to use the last of her strength to try to break free and turn the rifle on her and finish her off for good.
"You're lying, we will succeed and tyranny will be over!" Himari soo broke free as she charged straight for Brook. The police officers looking at Brook who raised her rifle as she was focusing on a charging Himari.
"Brook, shoot the rifle!" One of them shouted. Himari soon got within her desired distance as the sights were focused on her forehead. Brook soon gently squeezed the trigger and fired.
"Black students and our anti Kay movement will…" Himari screamed before she paused after something had struck her on the forehead. Jaring around, she places her hand where the pain was coming from. Taking it away, her hand was covered in blood. Brook had indeed shot her. Himari soon crumbled to the ground, collapsing to the ground. The police officers caught up as Brook walked forward. Himari's lifeless body was twitching as blood was pooling around where the bullet struck her. Brook cocked the rifle, ejecting the spent shell.
"Oh my god, I did it." Brook stuttered as she knew she had done it. The two police officers looked at her as one of them began to speak.
"Well she's gone, someone who wanted to defund our security to keep the ship safe. We managed to get a lawless anarchist killed." Brook soon passed the rifle and the 4 remaining bullets as the second one turned as he began to speak.
"You managed to strike her down with just one bullet, I'm impressed." They soon collected the goods and walked away. The students yipped and cheered seeing how the girl had grown up so much and now knew fully about life.
"I hope she gets to be something better if she gets another chance at life." Brook soon turned and walked away. Even with one of them down there was an even bigger problem brewing.
On the lower decks of the USS George Washington, Yuri Nakamura was watching all of this, her eyes haven't changed but her looks have, her long black hair was gone as she dyed her hair blue. She wanted to show everyone that she wasn't to be messed with.
"Himari is gone, we should begin our anti fascist movement and take Kay's flags and say Black students matter, We're taking over the schools one by one and Kay has drawn the line. Our second rebellion is going to be much more successful than the first one and we are going to slice Kay open like a hog. She doesn't know who she's screwing around with." Yuri snickered to herself as the force was made up of the degenerates, Black students, students that had dyed their hair and chose their own genders and remnants of the first rebellion which had failed and crumbled. A rainbow flag was flown as they were going to defy Kay. "Orange girl bad."
The second rebellion was upon them.
[A/N]: everyone is mostly okay and released at this point but there is another problem looming overhead. Yuri is back and to begin another war against Kay. Everyone is going to have to be ready about this as this wouldn't be as big as the other one though Yuri still has a massive force on her side. Yuri is ready to avenge Himari's death the best way she can. That is all.
