"Tell me, what exactly happened to the two snipers that went out to bring Brook back here?" Yuri asked the student who was there. The observing student that was on the scene soon began to speak.
"Yuri, the snipers that you sent in never returned. Last time I spotted them was when Brook and another student named Kay were carrying their unconscious bodies away from the building she was thought to be located. Both snipers had red paintball smudges on their heads." She responded thinking that was what happened to them. Yuri soon sighed as she began to speak.
"This cannot drag on for any longer. Brook is being nothing more than an endless thorn in our side and a tricky one to remove. I will have to up the number of snipers to try to take this girl out. Other than that, we should try our best to maintain a grip since the center is the only area that still remains in our hands. I am just wondering how much longer we will try to resist before all of our efforts collapse?" Yuri told her as she wanted to make sure she could eliminate this successful girl. However watching her speak was a young boy as he was taking care of their shoes. But, he was writing down information regarding Yuri's position and what she would try to send out. Soon the boy slipped back as he wanted to take this information back.
Brook, Olivia, Maho and Klara were on their usual sniping mission as they were busy taking out high value targets. Olivia had a captured Scoped Kar98k on her as she was helping Brook out. Brook began muttering something.
"An artillery observer, she seems lost, well we better do this quickly." Brook soon raised the sights to her head as the observer stopped to take a look around and with one gentle squeeze of the trigger, BAM! The paintball round lands on the side of her head causing her to fall to the ground. Klara looked at her as she began to speak.
"Так что получается примерно…" Klara asked before Brook cuts her off before answer her question.
"100." Brook cycled the spent round out and a new round in as she wanted to figure out her new target and the new catch. "Сотня сегодня, сотня завтра или на следующей неделе." Maho was acting as Olivia's spotter as she soon looked back at them.
"Olivia has 15 so far as I am working with her. Erika really likes and dislikes her at the same time. Liking her for being a valuable team asset and disliking her saying she hogs me over meanwhile I just really like her." Maho told Brook as Olivia was looking down the scope of her rifle as she looked to Maho.
"Commander Nishizumi, we have company." Olivia told her. Maho got out her binoculars to look around as she noticed someone was approaching her. A boy but why him.
"Hey you four I don't think you mean any harm. Come with me." He said. Brook looked out as she heard what the boy was saying. She soon looked at the others.
"He wants us to come with him." Brook turned her head as she told them what was going on. She turned back to the boy as she wanted to know if it was a trap or not.
"Are you going to harm us in any way?" Brook asked if he had any additional tricks up his sleeve. The boy soon spoke again.
"I don't but my mother would make you feel welcome." The boy responded. Brook looked up to her friends as she began to speak.
"Okay follow me. We're going to see what this boy has to offer." Brook told them as she soon got from her position and began away from the area. Crouching down, the others followed her lead as they quietly slipped away as the boy noticed they were following him much to his surprise. He knew exactly where he needed to lead them.
The boy soon led the four girls to where he was hiding as the door opened to something nice and warm, The USS George Washington was sailing into the Bering strait since the weather would be cold enough to engulf the ship in snow and freeze the rebels out. The mother of the boy soon came to the girls as she began speaking.
"One of you is Brook right?" She asked. Brook stepped forth as she identified herself.
"Yes that's me." Brook replied. The mother soon began to speak to the student as she warmly introduced herself.
"My name is Tania, and this is my son Sasha." Tania introduced herself. Sasha ran up as he began inspecting their boots for any signs of tears or damage. "Sasha is a bit of a cobbler which has given us quite the business even if he charges nothing." Maho looked down as she saw the boy was inspecting her boots. She turned to Tania.
"And how old is Sasha?" Maho asked out of curiosity. Tania soon began speaking.
"Sasha's 10 years old. He has an older sister who is 15 and goes by the name of Helmet-chan. I forgot what her name was." Tania told them. Olivia soon turned to Maho as she was confused on why this student was going by a different name.
"Who's Helmet-Chan?" Olivia asked, wondering who this kid was. Maho turned to Olivia as she began explaining who she was.
"Helmet-Chan is a student that is part of Saunders' Sensha-Do club." Maho replied. Olivia nodded as Tania continued talking.
"Helmet-Chan and Sasha are the only family I have left. I used to have a husband but Yuri took him and I never saw him again." Tania walked around as the students looked at her and her work. "I collect and repair furniture for a living much like Sasha does with boots and shoes. We then sell these back for money and try our best to survive. I don't take kindly to Yuri running amok trying to destroy the ship but it makes good business." Sasha walked up to Brook.
"I know mother, she's Brook Taylor, the student who is eliminating all of those students from what I heard from the newspapers and radio." Sasha told Tania as he was holding Brook's rifle. Tania ran to Sasha as she began to sternly speak to him.
"Sasha put that rifle down. It's loaded." Tania told her son as she wanted to warn him not to use it. She looked at Brook as she began to speak. "Sorry, Sasha is very eager to meet you." Brook looked at her. Brook took the rifle back as she began to speak.
"It's fine, plus how does Sasha know my name?" Brook asked, wondering how did this 10 year old boy know her name by heart. Tania began speaking her answer to her.
"Sasha listens to the radio everyday which is broadcasting your heroic actions. Now he's more than excited to meet you." Tania replied as a knock was heard on the door. Tania walked over as she looked through the peephole as she recognized who was at the door. "Come in." The door opened as Kay walked in carrying a bunch of envelopes.
"Brook, a lot of mail for you. Looks like some of the people are really taking notice of you." Kay soon handed the letters to Brook as Sasha took interest in Kay.
"Kay, it's been a while since I've last seen you. How's my sister doing on the front lines?" Sasha asked as she gave her a hug. Kay patted the boy on the back.
"She's doing good. Got that information you went out to get?" Kay soon released the boy from her arms as Sasha soon remembered it.
"Oh yeah." Sasha replied. He soon went to where he was hiding the notes as he began showing them to Kay. Yuri thinks I'm good with repairing their boots but that really isn't the case. I just go out of my way and listen to everything she says. I wish I was a girl instead of a boy so I can be old enough to be with my sister." Sasha sighed as Kay placed her hand on the boy.
"You're still my friend's brother at heart. And I still love you for that way Sasha." Kay told him as Brook finished reading the letters.
"Last one is from the Russian government itself. They want me to join their service when I graduate Pravda. They didn't say for any specific reason but they were listening to the radio and heard my achievements. They're taking a keen interest in me." Brook told them what the letter read. Kay looked over as she seemed surprised about this. She looked at her as she spoke.
"Tell them no that you don't want to join because you will be coming with me." Kay told her. Maho looked at Kay as she had some words for her.
"You shouldn't be acting like her mother, this is her letter and her decision to make." Maho told her to not meddle with her business. Olivia soon got up as she had got a phone call to answer. Kay looked at her.
"Well I care about her and I want her future to be as good as ours, I want to take her with me." Kay told Maho as Maho looked at her.
"I know but let her do what she wants." Maho told Kay that she shouldn't make all of her decisions for her. She looked at Brook as if she wanted to help out this letter with her friend as she wanted to respond. "Hey can I help out with the letter?" Maho kindly offered as Brook looked up to her.
"If you wish." Brook gave the reply. Maho soon got a blank piece of paper and a pencil as she wanted to help her out with the letter writing.
"Dear comrades from the motherland." Brook began as she began writing it down. "I appreciate the letter you have given me and I thank your letter of praise. R. A. I. S. E. And I hope I can live up to your expectations. A.T. I. O. N. S. You offer to take up me in your services? It will be an honor. H. O. N. O. R. I promise I will fight for the protection of the motherland from her enemies and foes. I wish I could join now. Comrade Brook." Olivia soon spoke once she got the call it wasn't pretty.
"Hey commander Nishizumi, we have a problem." Olivia began. Maho turned away from Kay just a moment before she looked at her.
"What is it Olivia?" Maho asked. Olivia looked at her commander as she began laying out the situation.
"I just received a message from Erika saying that the rebels have destroyed the telegraph wire. Now calls by field phone are useless until the new wire is laid." Olivia told Maho as Maho felt tense.
"The wire laying job is dangerous as it will attract unwanted attention." Kay told them as she knew what targets the slow moving wire layers were. Perfect target for snipers. "Tania it was nice seeing you, we promise to come around whenever you need us." Kay was the first to leave as others followed through. They had a mission to do.
The trouble for the wire layers was caused by 3 rebel snipers with Scoped Kar98k's in their hands. One of the girls was slowly crawling along trying to lay down new wire when a black female sniper looked out and noticed this. She soon aimed the rifle and fired. The yellow paintball knocking out the wire layer. She laughed as she looked at her two friends.
"That's number 3 today. They're so slow and loud. Let's hope they send out more repair guys." She told her friends. One of them had silver dyed hair and the other with bright cyan hair.
"I think it's soup time." The silver haired girl told them as her friend quieted her down.
"Now is not the time to eat, we need to make sure that there isn't any more wire being laid so we can hold onto the center of the area." She responded that now wasn't the time to eat. She soon looked at them as she wanted to let them know. "I should be getting a move on to make sure I get the supplies if you change your mind." She soon grabbed her Kar98k as she began to zip away from the building as her friend looked at her.
"Now don't spill it on the way back you Antifa bastard!" The girl with the silver hair told her as she ran down the stairs.
Brook was with Olivia, Maho and Erika as Erika had a wire layer attached to her back. She wasn't sure about the plan but Maho was confident on this working out.
"Why am I the one who has to be the bait?" Erika whined as she didn't want to be the one laying out new wire. Brook ignored them as she was looking through a trench periscope to see what she could spot.
"You're making Brook's job a whole lot easier. She's the best sharpshooter we have and if you do get shot and knocked out, we might know where the position is on the snipers so we can take them out." Maho explained the plan on what is going on. Erika grumbled as she didn't like this.
"Good grief can you send someone else to do the job for me?" Erika wasn't too pleased about the job but Brook soon spotted someone running along the ground as she soon looked at them.
"Hey we got company." Brook told them as they soon grabbed their weapons. They soon popped their heads from the trench as they all got out from the trench. The Cyan haired student saw the four of them approach as she looked over. Maho was the first to speak.
"Freeze! Don't move a muscle." Maho commanded her. Erika and Olivia got to the sides as Brook was now behind Maho. Ready to take her out in case she made a run for it. Maho soon walked forth as she began questioning the girl wondering where the position of her friends were. "Now tell us, ma'am are you working with more than one partner?" Maho began.
"Yes I am." The Cyan haired girl responded as she was scared for her life. Maho soon asked the next question.
"If you are, tell us which building they are hiding in?" The cyan haired girl nervously pointed to a large, ruined building. It had two floors and a gaping hole within the center. Maho spoke again as she knew exactly what she meant by her actions. "We'll see about that. Undress her." Maho told her as Erika began stripping the girl's clothes away to see if she had anything else on her before others would arrive and take her to the rear. Maho soon turned to Brook who was watching this. "Brook set yourself up on that nice pile of rubble right there, You'll be difficult to spot." Brook nodded as she moved out to the rubble as she soon began to set herself up.
Olivia was in her potion 10 minutes later after they stripped the student down and redressed her. Maho was with her friend as Erika was prone and had the wire layer weighing her down. Maho looked at her friend as she knew exactly what the plan was. Brook was far off looking at the building directly from the rubble.
"Let's go Erika, we have a job to do." Maho ordered her. Erika growled with annoyance as she began to crawl forward. The loud ringing of the wire layer was heard as the wire was being laid. Erika was crawling as fast as she could but it turned out that it wasn't fast enough for a certain couple of students. The Black female sniper looked out as she was observing Erika as she slowly crawled along. Maho was keeping an eye on Erika while Olivia was looking out for where the shot came from.
"You see they're stubborn. That's the good thing about these straight, white students. Once they get an idea in their heads, they will continue trying until they succeed no matter how many losses they take." The Black female sniper spoke as she observed Erika as she slowly crawled along. She waited for her to get out just far enough to where she can get a clean shot. Even though Erika was wearing a helmet for protection, this didn't dieter her enough as she soon fired for Erika's head. The white paintball slammed onto the side of the helmet as Erika collapsed unconscious. This was part of their plan. Olivia saw where the shot came from as she soon began to speak to Brook from the handheld radio she had on her.
"Brook the shot came from the right side of the building. 2nd floor 4th window." Olivia told her the coordinates on where the shot came from. Brook focused in on that area as she knew they could be hiding in there. The black female sniper soon had another plan on taking Brook out once and for all. She soon puts her helmet on a raising stake as it would serve as bait for the fish.
"Right, let's see if our customer has arrived." She began. The silver haired girl looked over as she looked out of the peephole from the wall as she was looking at the rubble where Brook was hiding in. "You ready?" She asked, her friend looked at her nodding nervously.
"Yeah, I'm ready." She sighed. The black female sniper nodded as she knew this was the opportunity to take her out once and for all.
"And now our friend will take out that famous shepherd from the Urals. Brook is nothing more than an idiot." She began pulling the string in turn began raising the helmet as Brook slowly watched the window as the helmet rose. "Brook sees the helmet, fires. Gives her position away and in turn my friend fires a shot in return, knocking her out." Brook looked at the helmet as she knew something was off.
"Maho somethings off, there is a helmet at the window." Brook began. Maho soon grabbed Olivia's hand-held radio as she began talking back.
"I think they're trying to bait you into a trap, don't shoot." Maho gave the order for Brook to hold her fire. Brook stood there tensely looking at the helmet as she waited for the results. Soon the Black student looked on as she knew there is only one conclusion to all of this.
"Except Brook doesn't fire. Because she's not here." She soon let the string go as the helmet fell to its starting position. Brook soon looked back at the gaping hole in the building as she knew they were going to cross that as a part of their escape route. The two of them were crawling along as they wanted to return to Yuri and tell her about the news.
"Hey, do you think today is strange?" The Silver haired student asked her friend. Her friend looked at her as she began to speak. "When our friend went to go get the soup, she didn't return before the student began laying the wire down and we took a shot at her. Not without artillery or…" She didn't know what to say next as she paused.
"Ehh, no I'm the one who's stupid. I don't give a shit about telephone guys. It's like us with a bunch of queers, we never bother the major over a few dead grunts." The black female student replied. Soon they came to the gaping hole in the building as her friend looked at her. "Tomorrow, we'll kill some whites."
"Who's turn is it?" The Silver haired girl asked. Her friend looked at her as the girl spoke. "Mine I think?" The black female looked at her as she began speaking.
"You're such a cheater. You can't fool me. No no no no no no." She responded as she waved her finger in front of her friend's face. They soon began to walk back as they wanted to exchange their normal field caps for safety helmets. Brook was waiting in the rubble still starting at the gaping hole waiting for them to make the jump. "My turn to go first and your turn to get a hole in your britches." She nodded. Her friend laughed.
The two students smiled as they soon began to run to make the gap. However one of them was going to hit the bottom. The black female student jumped first along with her friend and Brook saw the opportunity and fired. The red paintball hitting the black female student in her forehead, knocking her out. She soon fell to the ground while the Silver haired girl made it to the other side. The silver haired student looked down to see her friend was laying at the bottom of the ruined building not responding at all. She looked closer as a small puddle of blood was forming in the rubble. She must have injured herself when she fell. The Silver haired student began tearing up as her friend could have possibly been killed. She turned and ran off. Brook smiled as she cycled the bolt. She soon began speaking.
"Okay Maho. I have managed to get one of the two. I'm letting the other one go." Brook gave the news. Maho nodded as Erika was beginning to stir.
"What happened?" Erika asked. Maho looked at her.
"You were shot at and knocked out but seeing how you're up and they're gone, get a move on if we want to get the field phones working again." Maho gave the order. Erika grumbled as she crawled along continuing to lay the wire down but now she could do it without the threat of being shot at.
The four of them returned to Kay and Katyusha as Maho wanted to give the news to the two of them. Kay and Katyusha turn to Maho as she begins speaking.
"Okay we've reported that Erika had been shot once and fell unconscious for a few minutes. Wire has been laid and the snipers you said were out there. How many of them were there?" Maho asked as Katyusha looked at her.
"Three of them." Katyusha reported to Maho as Maho began thinking about what happened to the three snipers that were causing so much trouble.
"Okay, the three snipers, we managed to capture one of them that pointed to where the other two were hiding, Brook knocked out one of them and the last one escaped." Maho reported. Kay nodded.
"Okay good even if you only got two out of the three. Brook's still constantly one step ahead of them. Good job." Kay patted Maho as she walked off. She was tired and needed some rest. Brook walked over as she was just as tired.
"So Brook, how many today?" Katyusha asked her wondering how many students she managed to get today. Brook sighed as she began speaking.
"About 4. Managed to shoot one of them in mid air." Brook responded as Kay smiled.
"Sweet. That brings you to 101 knockouts so far in this?" Kay asked Brook if 101 was the correct number.
"Yes that's the number, we're slowly draining them of resources and I can bring that number up to 200 if I need to." Brook responded as she was willing to push it to that number.
"Do everything you need to do if you are going to make the enemy pay for every inch of ground. We need to keep pushing if we want to take back the surrounding areas." Kay told her as she turned and headed off for bed. Brook did much the same thing as she yawned from drowsiness.
