Sasha was busy repairing some boots as Yuri walked in as she was remaining frustrated. Sasha looked at her as Yuri began grumbling to herself.
"For the past week or so we are losing more and more loyal students as we can not and by all means can not get this kid. She is covering her tracks too well as it is becoming impossible to track her down in the snow." Yuri grumbled as Sasha looked at her. Sasha looked at her as he began to speak.
"What about the supposed tractor factory Saunders has? They made tractors for their massive farms they grow on their property. The factory is going to be assaulted as it holds strategic importance to the group due to its stature and height, whoever controls the factory, controls the land around it." Sasha explained as Yuri soon got an idea.
"Sasha you're a genius. I can use the tractor factory to catch her, trap her and get her before she is able to curb stomp any more of us into the ground." Yuri told him as Sasha was confused about all of this.
"Who will be taking her out though?" Sasha asked as he knew there was no one that could challenge her at this point. Yuri looked at him as she grabbed a scoped Kar98k.
"That would be me." She responded. Sasha was surprised as he dropped everything. He soon began to speak.
"You're insane, she'll take you out in a heartbeat if you so much as show your face." Sasha told her as Yuri looked at the young boy.
"Someday she'll make a mistake and trip up. Then whoever has her in his or her sights will pick her off without hesitation. Now I must be going, take care Sasha." Yuri soon got up as she left the scene. She wanted to go out of her way to get revenge on Brook. Sasha soon bolted off as he knew he had to find Kay.
Kay and the others were busy having a party as they managed to score major successes throughout the week. Many students were playing music when they heard a knock.
"Come in." Alisa told whoever was at the door. Sasha soon came in as he ran straight for Kay. He knew there was something important that he needed to tell her.
"Kay. I know the perfect opportunity to eliminate the leader of the rebels." Sasha began. Kay turned her head to the boy as she was curious about this. She knew she had to let him speak.
"Go on." Kay told Sasha to say what he needed to tell her. Sasha soon began speaking as he knew what was going to happen.
"There is a tractor factory that Yuri would most likely be hiding in. Whoever controls the factory, controls the area around it." Sasha told Kay as Kay nodded as she soon began to speak.
"We're preparing an assault on the factory tomorrow as the area holds strategic importance, we know to keep our eyes peeled, if she does show her face, we know who to send in." Kay told Sasha as she knew of the plan all along. She turned to Brook who was busy sitting by herself. Sasha soon felt his heart race looking at Brook as he turned to Kay.
"Thank you. I need to see my sister." Sasha soon turned and ran off as he knew he needed to speak to Helmet-Chan. Kay soon nodded as she continued the Party. Katyusha soon walked over to Brook as she knew the girl felt down about something. She knew she wanted to speak to her.
"Hey Brook, is there something wrong?" Katyusha began, She soon sat next to her as she began to speak to her.
"Yeah, the assault tomorrow tonight might be their last party if at all. Some of us won't be coming back after this battle in one piece. The grind is taking its toll and we're going to be stretched thin." Brook told her as she was fully aware of tomorrow. Katyusha looked at her as she began to speak to the girl.
"Look if we do make it back then we throw another one of these parties again. I know things are grinding badly and we're losing our morale but after this if Yuri is captured, they will fall apart in a matter of days. Much like commander Nishizumi says, never run away from the situation you're in. I know you can do it since you've been there before." Katyusha told her to keep doing what she liked doing best and maybe they can pull things through and continue their stretch. Brook nodded as she got up as she went to bed. She knew she had a job to do and needed to pull this off.
The next morning. Katyusha soon looked at the students as she had an announcement to make. Brook and the others looked nervously as she began to speak.
"Okay Kay knows that we will be assaulting the tractor factory. Brook you and Alisa would be tasked with taking out Yuri, I know it will be hard but it will be rewarding once you do. Her liberal forces will collapse without her leadership. You got it?" Katyusha told them as they had a job to do. The students nodded as they looked at her.
"Yes comrade Katyusha!" They shouted. Katyusha nodded as they soon got up as they went to go accomplish this task.
Yuri was waiting in the factory as she began walking through. She soon went prone on a perch as she knew this would be a perfect spot to get Brook out of the picture as she soon knew she needed to wait.
Brook and Alisa were heading up through the fire escape of the tractor factory as they were assigned to taking Yuri down. Alisa soon looked at her when they came to the roof. They looked down as some of the students were beginning to engage Katyusha's tank army as they were being cut down. Alisa turned to Brook as she was wondering how they were going to get into the factory.
"How do we get in if all the entrances are blocked off?" Alisa asked. Brook had a plan for that in mind as she opened up one of the pipes. She soon began crawling into the pipe motioning Alisa to follow her. Alisa soon got into the pipes as she began to follow her friend.
The first set of pipes were large as they could easily walk across upright without any real problems. They soon came to a set of smaller pipes that were big enough to squeeze on through. Brook looked at her as she began to speak.
"Remember, follow my lead, we'll get that girl in no time." Brook told Alisa as she was in her snow colored camouflage with fur gloves. Alisa nodded as Brook pulled herself up first into the pipe as Alisa followed in shortly after, Yuri was laying there as she heard a rumbling happen as it turned out to be the two girls crawling through the pipe as they were going to catch her and trap her. Yuri saw what was happening as she soon got up from her position as she began to withdraw. She soon retreated into a room with two windows, one of them had a broken slant, and it was this slant, she decided to set up her rifle. She cycled the bolt before loading it up. After closing the bolt she soon looked down the sights at the pipe which was still rumbling. Brook and Alisa came out of the pipe as they decided to plan on what to do next.
"What's the next goal?" Alisa asked. She was nervous that something was off. Brook leaned up with a face full of snow that had gathered on the ruins of the factory floor.
"I know this might sound risky but we need to do this fast. You go up that way I'll run in the opposite direction." Brook told Alisa pointing to that pillar. Alisa nodded as they soon got up and bolted to their positions. Yuri saw them as she popped the first shot off. The blue paintball hitting Alisa in the chest, she fell in agony as she wasn't used to a shot like this. Yuri cycled the bolt as she fired again on Brook who ducked behind cover but this was enough for her to lose her balance as she fell. Her rifle landed some distance away in the snow. Brook looked on as she now had nothing to defend herself with. She turned to Alisa as it was clear she wasn't in good shape.
"God my chest hurts." Alisa whined as she was in pain. Brook looked at her as she had one objective for her as she knew that the plan was risky.
"Alisa, go find help. I will be fine." Brook told her about the objective. Alisa looked at her friend wondering if she was insane.
"You crazy? You'll get blasted being out here all by yourself." Alisa told her. Brook looked at her as she had some words for her.
"I said I'll be fine, now go." She told Alisa. Alisa soon huffed as she began to crawl back from her position as she was now heading for the pipes. She knew she needed to tuck her legs in as she began to crawl up one of them. Brook knew she needed to contest with Yuri and get her rifle back. She soon pulled out a switch knife as she began to mold it into a hook. Tying some string on her end she knew she needed to make it into a grapple to get the gun back. Once done she decided to fling it as she aimed for the sling of the rifle. She missed.
Yuri looked onward as she watched the girl play around for a bit. Brook tossed the hook out again but she missed. She reeled the line back to her as she knew she needed to get the sling. She tossed it out again as it landed somewhere inside the sling. She tugged it back as the switch knife got a hold of the sling. Brook smiled with satisfaction as she began slowly pulling the rifle back to her, The rifle dragged along in the snow of the ruined building. Yuri looked down the scope of her rifle as she spotted this as she didn't want to give Brook the chance to fight back. She soon fired on the switch knife as she knew it was the connection keeping them together. The switch knife broke in half as Brook grumbled as her rifle was so close to her now. She knew she needed to wait for help now. Soon a loud noise was heard as planes were buzzing overhead. She didn't know who they belonged to so she knew she needed to wait it out. Soon pieces of glass began to fall to the floor as they were large and sharp. Brook curled up to avoid getting herself injured in the process. Glass fell all around her as they landed in large mirror-like shapes as she knew if help did arrive, she could tell the one where the sniper was. She was hoping it would come soon. Yuri was confused as she didn't know which to focus on, the position where Brook is or the multiple faces of her casted by the mirror like glass. She knew she needed to make up her mind.
Katyusha meanwhile was getting the remaining students rallied for a final push on the factory to make sure they were able to get it this time.
"Come on I am asking for one more effort so we can take the factory right from the rebels hands." Katyusha ordered them as the students were getting together for one last push. Nina looked at Katyusha as she wanted to participate but a voice called out as someone was coming to them.
"Hey Katyusha. Brook is pinned down inside the factory. She told me to get help if any chance possible. Got anyone who is willing to volunteer?" Alisa told them as there was a giant blue splatter on her chest. Katyusha thought for a moment before Nina stepped up.
"I will." Nina told her. Katyusha looked at the student thinking she was crazy. Nina took Alisa's rifle as Katyusha began talking to Nina.
"You crazy Nina, it's best we try to flush the sniper out then rescue Brook." Katyusha told her. Nina looked at Katyusha.
"Katyusha she would be knocked out and I would have to drag her body to you. Plus we don't have much light left so I'm going." Nina told Katyusha as she walked off. Her walk soon turned into a sprint as she made her way to the fire escape of the tractor factory.
Nina crawled through the pipes as she wanted to find where Brook was. She looked down to see that the rebels were treating their injured as one of them flipped close her eye lids. Nina, not wanting to get noticed, kept on crawling, she wanted to find her friend.
Brook was holding out in the cold as she was waiting for something to happen. She turned her head to see where a mysterious noise was coming from. That noise turned out to be Nina as she had appeared with Alisa's rifle. Brook soon looked at her getting her ready for some instructions.
"Keep your head down Nina." Brook instructed her. Nina looked at her getting out the rifle to use.
"Just tell me where she is." Nina told her Brook motioned her not to move a muscle unless she told her to.
"Stay in the pipe until I give you instructions." Brook told Nina as she began looking at the reflective glass. Yuri looked at the glass, the pipe and the cover Brook was hiding behind. Brook soon began giving Nina instructions. "Nina, move to that pillar behind you." Nina began itching slowly behind as she was heading to where Brook instructed her. Yuri looked out as she was trying to find where the second girl was. Then Brook knew she needed to give the girl the next part of the instructions. "Now I need you to find a large piece of glass."
"A piece of glass?" Nina asked. Brook nodded. Nina soon fumbled around before finding a giant piece of glass. She picked it up making sure not to touch the edge.
"Okay now do you see the two vents? One of them has a broken slant in it. That's the one where Yuri is hiding." Brook told her. Nina soon looked at the reflective glass as she soon began thinking about it.
"Yes. Yes I do." Nina told her as she knew about this. She looked back to where the vents were. Brook looked at her as she was in position.
"Are you ready?" Brook asked. Yuri continued to look around as she wanted to find where the two of them were.
"Yes." Nina told Brook as she held up the glass. Brook nodded as she knew it was now or never.
"3. 2. 1." Brook counted down. The sun's rays hit the piece of glass giving off a shiny feel. Something caught the corner of Yuri's eye as she looked at the flashy light. Yuri groaned as she was blinded by the light. Brook rushed over as she grabbed the rifle while Nina dropped the glass and ran for the pipe and began to climb in. Brook didn't have time for a focused shot so she fired hoping that it would strike Yuri in the head. Yuri recovered from the light but felt a horrible pain in her hand. A paintball struck it as Brook slung the rifle over her back and ran for the pipe, she began to climb in and make her escape.
Sasha was busy cleaning the area up when he heard Yuri coming home. Her left hand was bandaged together as Brook shot was strong enough to fracture several bones in her hand.
"Hello Sasha." Yuri told him as she put her rifle down. "She was right where you said but I nearly got her but she got me in the hand." Yuri soon sat down as Sasha looked at her. "This girl is very clever, tell me about her." Yuri soon hung up her coat as Sasha began to talk to her.
"Oh Yuri, I wasn't expecting you." Sasha replied. Yuri soon got some whiskey as she poured herself a glass. She soon began talking to Sasha.
"Where did she learn to shoot like that?" Yuri asked, wondering if Sasha knew that he had an answer.
"Commissioner Nakhimov taught her. That's what I gathered from Kay." Sasha replied as Yuri was surprised. Was the boy spending his time with the girl? She began to speak.
"Why him but not her mother or father?" Yuri asked as Sasha began speaking.
"Well her mother has been arrested and sent to prison for Himari smuggling a weapon and trying to take her life. Her father is busy with his job as a doctor so he can't spend all of his time with her." Sasha replied. Yuri paused as she remembered her friend Himari as she was the inspiration to all of this before. Sasha continued to speak. "Clearly the girl is very educated and writes a lot of letters to the people who want to know more about her. Myself included. Oh yeah I wanted to give you this." Sasha told her as he handed a newspaper to Yuri. Yuri began to read it. She felt her heart sink a bit.
"Poor Admiral Zinovy Rozhestvensky, he died of a heart attack spending the last few months of his life as a hermit. That's what he got for pushing his school and the navy too hard. Don't think he deserves the credit." Yuri muttered as she put down the paper. She handed the bars of chocolate to Sasha who in turn puts it in his pockets.
"Well I did feel sorrow for the man. His last couple of years with anger issues due to the ships not following along with his orders. I heard he was having trouble with his blood pressure due to his anger. It's tough work being an admiral." Sasha replied as he soon got up. "Well it's best I get myself to Tania before sundown. Take care." Sasha soon got up and left, leaving Yuri all by herself. She knew she needed a way to take down Brook and in doing so, she needed to get rid of Sasha first.
[A/N]: Took a break as I have some good news and bad news. Bad news is that the former HOI4 group I said was pretty much fractured into pieces as the group was pretty much done for, many of us left including myself as I feel like there were internal problems inside. On the flipside of things, we pretty much pieced together most of the group and are now working on a new mod with responsible staff. I myself am a part of that group and would wish to get the mod done and showcase it to the public.
Good news is that we're doing well. I got mentioned in Tsurukiribbon's Fanfic: A Centipede's Tale. Which I am very fond of and wish that the author had the energy and vigor as me as well as everyone else that does something creative. 700 views for the month alone makes me happy but we need to get the number up higher if we are going to try to make each other proud. That is all for now.
