"Good, besides. you should have someone with you when you're sick.." Rangiku reasoned as she took special care in making sure the area that the pull-up would cover was completely dry. "It won't be so bad..I guess it's just like..Padded.. underwear.." She shrugged while drying the rest of his body a bit more, before stepping out real quick to retrieve the package. "I know they look a little..infantile..But I got them because I figured it would be better if the cashier thought I was buying them for a young child." She informed him while ripping open the package. And it was indeed part of the truth, she also just knew they were rather cute looking than plain white ones that probably were a little to wide for Toshiro's slim frame, and would tip the cashier off if she ever saw Toshiro around. After looking it over a bit, and finding which side was the back, unfolding it, she began to slip Her Young Captain's feet and ankles through the garmeant before sliding it up is legs and into it's proper place. "There, that's not so bad is it?" She asked while gathering his pajamas to begin dressing him, and since he didn't protest much to the idea of doing so, she went right ahead.
Toshiro clenched his teeth a bot at the idea that the pull ups would be infantile. Remembering that he didn't have much of a choice in the matter he allowed Rangiku to slide the garment up his legs. It was particular snug,a dn Toshiro kept poking the front finding it quite thick compared to anything he had worn before. "I guess they aren't that bad." he mumbled agreeing with her, "As long as they're just for when I'm sleeping."
"It'll be alright, And if it's any consolation I think it looks good on you." Rangiku chirped, glad he had a pacifier in his mouth at the moment so he wasn't grinding right on his teeth as she messed with it slightly so it hugged his legs properly. "I mean, no one ever died from looking cute did they?" She smiled while picking up his light grey pajama shirt, and sliding his arms through before beginning to button in up, then slid the pajama pants onto his legs, then over the childish prints of the pull-up he wore. "And on the bright side you can still pull it down if you need to use the restroom." She went on simply while helping the boy up after he was dressed. "Now, I don't know about you, but I'm kind of hungry. So why don't we go have a little snack to hold us over till dinner?" She offered. "But let's get you some medicine first, you're burning up.." Rangiku pointed out as she felt his forehead.
"I... guess not." Toshiro mumbled after Rangiku finished fixing his new underwear for him. He held his arms out to let her put his shirt on, surprised she was going straight into dressing him herself, which he had to admit he was a little thankful for considering how uncomfortable his fever was beginning to become. Still it was kind of a new experience, being taken care of, so the whole process made him just a tad anxious which was why he started squirming a bit when Rangiku started to put his pants on especially. He stood up once he was dressed and found it difficult not to be aware of his pull up whenever he moved.
He nodded his head at the prospect of new food, yet was a little apprhensive about the medicine. "Didja get da good kind?"he lisped before sneezing once again, this time using one of his tissues.
Rangiku simply smiled as Toshiro squirmed, and since he allowed it she went right ahead. She was actually enjoying taking care of the boy at this point. And moreover just glad that she could be there to support her Captain. Not only did she enjoy it, but Rangiku also supposed she owed him for all the times she'd left him to do all the work. "Well, I'm not sure what the good kind is..But it's flavored..And it shouldn't knock you out. But it wont be quite as effective I don't think." She replied while getting his pants situated. "Here, lean on me if you need to. I bet it's hard for you to walk all things considered.." She said while supporting the boy by his arm as they made their way out to the kitchen to sit him down at the table.
Once there Rangiku got out the newly purchased medicine, and a cup of water to wash it down with before pouring the proper dosage. "There you are..Now after you're done with that, how does a little soup sound?" Rangiku suggested, figuring if nothing else he'd be able to keep it down, and it wouldn't cause his to bad of a bowel movement if any at all if he should fall asleep again before dinner.
"But I can walk." Toshiro remarked as Rangiku took his arm anyway and lead him back into the kitchen. As the walked though Toshiro was thankful she did lead the way as with each step he concentrated more and more on the padding between his legs and less on the way he was heading. Once in the kitchen he settled down at the table. Taking the tiny cup with the medicine with one hand, and removing his pacifier with the other he prepped himself for taking it. With relative ease he managed to down the liquid. "Much better." he remarked in reference to the sweeter taste in his mouth, he definitely preferred it to the bitter medicine Rangiku had given him earlier.
"I'm just not sure how this fever is affecting you however.. I know when I'm sick every step hurts..You don't feel like that?" Rangiku asked on the way over, smiling as he seemed like the other medicine more than the previous. "Well, let's just hope it works half as well." She said while going over to the stove to begin making a pot of soup. "Oh..I almost forgot.." She said while hurrying back over to the bag to put the food she'd bought away. "I bought some fruit juice while I was there. I'd like you to drink that, milk, and herbal tea since you sick you need all the vitamins and nutrients you can get.." Rangiku said as she put things away, then went back to the stove to begin mixing in ingredients into the soup she was heating.
"A little, but I can still walk." Toshiro explained before he drank some of the water. Toshiro watched her move about the kitchen preparing everything. He was a little overwhelmed, whenever he was sick before it only took him a few days in bed to get over it, but she had really taken it upon herself to get him anything he need through the course of his illness. "Okay, uh thanks." he said watching her mix together the soup.
"No need to say thanks Captain, but you're welcome all the same." Rangiku smiled as she sat down next to him to let the soup heat and come to a simmer. "Well, when we go to bed tonight. You'll either have to sleep on the couch, or in my bed with me." She informed him as she set the completed paper work aside to make room for cups and plates. But it was obvious as to why that was the case since the guest bed was still wet from cleaning, and the sheets were being dried as well. "Oh..Well the couch cushion is a little wet too.." She added for his information. "But at least if anything happens at night I'll be right there for you." Rangiku said while getting up to grab bowls, spoons, and cups.
Toshiro nearly choked on his water when Rangiku made her proposal. "With-with you?" he stuttered. "But what if I just sp-spent the night back at my quarters." he mumbled with a huge blush. It wasn't that he wanted to be away from Rangiku, he just wasn't exactly comfortable with the idea of sharing a bed with her.
"Well if you wake up with another high fever..Or if you have another accident on top of that, could you deal with it while you're sick? And..I'm just worried for you..I just wish you'd stay here with me..The beds a queen size, so there's plenty of room for the both of us.." Rangiku replied, voicing her concern. "And we don't know if it'll get worse or not..And since you insisted on having the minimum requirements in your quarters, it lacks a guest bedroom, and only has a small couch.." she pointed out while placing a supportive hand on his shoulder. "It's not a big deal, you're..Not a.. grown man..There's nothing wrong with it.." Rangiku blushed, forgetting for a second that the boy was too innocent to really knew what she meant. "I mean..You could wake up in pain, and not be able to do anything..I'm worried for you.." She sighed.
"Er... I..." Toshiro started only to have Rangiku interrupt him and destroy any possible argument he could have. All throughout her explanation he was looking down at his pacifier in his hands. "Fine." he muttered begrudgingly.
"It'll be fine..Now why don't you let me was that before you use it again..It's good to do every so often.." Rangiku said to take her mind off things she washed her Toshio's pacifier with warm water for a minute before coming back and slipping it in his mouth. "Don't get too comfortable with that, the soup will be ready in about a minute." She informed him with a smile as sh pat him on the head before turning back towards the stove. And as she said the soup was done in just a bit, and was poured into their bowls within a few seconds of completion. Rangiku then took the liberty of pouring Toshiro a good sized cup of fruit juice, and a smaller one for her self. "See, I'll drink it too." She smiled at the boy as he took the pacifier out to eat.
"O-okay." Toshiro said handing Rangiku his pacifier. Once he had it back in he looked up and nodded in understanding. Once he had his food he took it out and set it aside on a napkin while he started to eat focusing more on the soup at first than the juice. He took a few sips now and then but by the time he had finished his sip he still had quite a bit of juice remaining.
Rangiku noticed the fact that he had left a good bit of juice remaining as she finished her own soup, and juice. And gave him somewhat of a stern look. "Toshiro.." She began to get her point across. "Please finish your juice, you need to eat more healthy if you want to get well." She insisted. "It doesn't matter if you have an accident or not, you can drink freely if you're wearing a pull-up when you sleep." she pointed out while sliding the glass closer to him.
"I know." Toshiro muttered meekly a little surprised by her stern look. "I w-was just saving it." he said picking up the glass to drink some more. "See?" he asked setting the cup down after drinking a good bit more. He reached out to grab the glass once more, only ot accidently knock the glass onto the its side spilling the remaining juice. "That was an accident." he immediately stuttered hoping she didn't think he had jsut spilled the glass o n purpose.
"Good, you just looked like you intended on not drinking it." Rangiku giggled, knowing how to read the boy quite well in situations like these. While Toshiro finished the juice however Rangiku got up to clear the dishes, and on her second trip back over he spilled it. "Are you sure.." She asked looking at him somewhat critically. "Hm..I believe you.." She chirped with a smile while being able to tell he wasn't lying. "You're a very bad liar in situations like these." Rangiku giggled, mostly at the fact that he was sometimes very much like other children his age when he tried to lie about something he did. "So what do you want to do now?" She asked while cleaning the spilled juice up with a napkin.
"Really, I actually kind of liked the juice." Toshiro exclaimed trying to defend his claim. He sighed in relief when Rangiku believed him, he wasn't sure why, but he definitely didn't know how Rangiku would've responded if she thought he had been lying. "I don't really know." Toshiro said just knowing that Rangiku wanted him to rest. "Is there still paperwork to do?"
"There's a few..That need to be redone..You got blots of ink on them when you were falling asleep earlier.." Rangiku giggled as she pat him on the head. "But that's okay, I'll get them replaced. And other than that I just need to do a bit of cleaning around here.." She shrugged while offering Toshiro his pacifier once more so he wouldn't forget it. "If there's nothing you need at the moment, or really want to do that wouldn't be unnecessary exertion, then I would suggest getting a bit of rest. At the moment I'd say the more the better." She said while feeling his forehead.
"I guess...I'll lie down somewhere." Toshiro mumbled, he didn't have anything else to pass the time with anyway. "Can I go to your bedroom if the couch is still wet?" he asked before opening his mouth for the pacifier.
"Of course you can. Let's just make sure you're all ready to go in case you have another little accident." Rangiku said with a smile as she put the pacifier in hi mouth before leading the boy to her bedroom. "I'm just going to make sure I didn't do something wrong with this." She explained while pulling the boy's pants down, and lifting his night shirt to examine her handy work from earlier. "It looks alright, does it feel okay? And do you think you might be a little more comfortable with or without pants while your wearing one of these?" Rangiku asked as she felt the tension of the elastic on the waist and legs.
"Okay." Toshiro said making sure they took a mometn to get his book before heading into Rangiku's room. Toshiro looked at her confused for a moment before she pulled his bottos down to examine the training pant. He blushed as she started to manipulate the areas around his legs and waist. "It feels alright." Toshiro blushed tugging on his shirt a little. "Honestly, I'd rather have pants, but it feels too hot with them on." he explained looking down at the prints that decorated the pull up.
"Sorry, I'm sure neither of us want any leaks." Rangiku said as she looked the pull-up over. "And I'm glad they seem to fit you okay,they had some plainer ones, but you're a bit slim, so I also thought these might fit you and hold up a bit better.." She went on while moving her hand to his forehead once more. and then down to his chin to lift his head so he looked her in the eyes. "Now, you know you don't have to be all that embarrass around me right? If it's too hot down there with your pants on, we can leave them off. You don't have to worry about anyone finding out, and I would never make fun of you for it." Rangiku assured the boy. "So, are you sure you want pants over it? I wont try and force you not to wear them, but I think anything that makes you hotter is a bad idea.." She pointed out.
"I know. I just can't help it." Toshiro said not breaking contact with Rangiku for the time being. "I guess it would be better to go without." Toshiro said already starting to lift up one of his feet in order to get his pants all the way off.
"I know this must all be hard for you, but don't hesitate to ask if you need anything." Rangiku smiled as she gently stroked the side of Toshiro's hair. "If you want me to be honest..I actually kind of like taking care of you if you haven't figured that out already.." She giggled slightly as she nodded at his decision to go without pants. "Again, they really do look cute on you. But we'll talk about everything some more when you wake up. For now, just try to get a little sleep." Rangiku said softly as she steadied Toshiro with one hand while using the other to pull his pants the rest of the way off. "I'll be in to check up on you in a bit okay?" She added while helping him to the middle of the bed, and laying just a thin blanket over him. "Comfy? Would you like a fan, or something?" Rangiku offered as she stood up to drape the boy's pants over a nearby chair.
"Yeah, I think I figured it out." Toshiro said putting his weight with Rangiku so she could remove his pants. Once that was through with he crawled into the middle of the bed with his book and laid down with his book. Once he was covered he settled down. He was amazed at how soft and comfortable her bed was, it felt like lying on a cloud, at least that's what he thought. "No this is fine." he answered regarding whether or not he wanted a fan.
"And you don't mind do you? At least not while you're sick I hope.." Rangiku said as she sat on the edge of the bed. "And like I said, if you need anything at all, just give me a shout, and I'll be right there." She giggled while standing up. "Alright, I've got some cleaning an what not to take care of, so I'll let you rest for the time being. And I'll be back in about an hour to check on you." Rangiku informed him as she took her leave to go and completely wash and dry some dishes. As well as clean up the floors a little bit.
"No, I guess I don't." Toshiro said before popping his pacifier back into his mouth before opening his book to pass some time reading first. He nodded in affirmation just as Rangiku left to clean.
Toshiro managed to spend the first few minutes reading, but Rangiku's bed was just too comfortable, and even though he had already taken quite a long nap he couldn't help but find himself drifting in and out of consciousness. Figuring he couldn't get any more reading down like this he laid his head down on the soft pillow and shut his eyes falling into a light slumber. While he slept he subconsciously sucked on his pacifier giving a much more serene look than most people are used to seeing from the boy.
Rangiku spent about an half hour just cleaning up some of the larger items, then sweeping the floor before going on to mopping them as music played softly in the background. It was almost another half hour before she was done, and time to check on Toshiro to see how he was doing. Before doing so however she got a quick drink of water for herself.
Rangiku soon quietly entered the room to see Toshiro gently sucking his pacifier. She spent a good ten or twenty minutes just watching the the sleeping boy with a smile on her face as she was more than glad to see him sleeping so peacefully. And after checking the pull-up he wore, just to make sure it wasn't full and on the verge of leaking, Rangiku went to her closet, and quietly dug around to find a plush bear she'd been given years ago. Curiously she sat it under the thin blanket next to Toshiro as she gently stroked his hair. "There you go.." Rangiku cooed to see if he would register the bear's presence.
Toshiro was still dry when Rangiku checked his pull up. However when she put the bear under the blankets he didn't seem to notice at first. It took a few seconds it his hand found the plush toy and recognizing it as something soft caused him to pull it in close. His slumber, however seemed to have come to an end as by the time Rangiku had reached the door he had opened his eyes and sat up in the bed. "Matsumoto?" he yawned rubbing the sleep from his eyes.
Rangiku made a cooing noise when Toshiro embraced the plush bear in his sleep, and reached out to gently stroke the sleep boy's hair, glad to know he was still dry for the time being. And after a while of enjoying her time watching over the young Captain, Rangiku turned to take her leave, but was slightly surprised that he had awoken. "I'm sorry, did I wake you?" Rangiku asked as she came back over to the bed, and got on it to sit next to him where he sat. "Is there anything you need?" She offered while checking his forehead to see what the medicine did against his fever.
Toshiro shook his head in answer to the first question, at least as far as he knew she didn't wake him up. His fever had weakened for the moment but it was still there. "No, I don't need anything." Toshiro yawned "Did I wet the bed?" he asked clutching the blanket tightly.
"Alright, if you say so." Rangiku replied as she retrieved Toshiro's pacifier and sat it on the nightstand so it wouldn't be lost in the blankets. She was glad to see however the fever was less intense than in had been before his nap. "Well, do you feel wet?" Rangiku answered with her own question. "Because, in less you peed within the last few minutes of when I checked, you should be dry." She explained while putting an arm around the boy. "So how do you feel huh? Any headaches or joint pains?" Rangiku questioned while gently rubbing his back.
Toshiro took a moment to check for himself. "No." he sighed in relief glad to wake up dry for once. Surprisingly he didn't fight back when she wrapped her arm around him. Even more surprisingly he actually leaned into her a bit more putting his head on her chest and curling up somewhat. He nodded his head "I have a small headache."
"Well that's good..You see, you might be getting better already. With some more rest, and medicine you'll be in good shape again." Rangiku encouraged as Toshiro cuddled up to her slightly. When he did so, she simply rubbed his back some more, while smiling, clearly content with the current situation. "Aw, well you're not supposed to take anymore medicine for awhile now. But we can just relax like this for a little bit." She offered while reaching over for his pacifier and placing it between his lips before beginning to gently massage the side of his head, and stroke his hair. "If you want, you can go back to sleep for a little while if you think you'll still sleep tonight." She added as she tried to sooth the boy's headache away.
"Maybe." Toshiro coughed making sure to keep his mouth away from getting any germs on Rangiku. He opened his mouth when his pacifier was offered sucking gently on the nipple. "I dunno." he lisped "I slept a lot eawliew." he cirnged slightly remembering the mess after his first nap. While Rangiku rubbed his head he closed his eyes and sighed relaxing against Rangiku's soft body. Eventually he started moving fidgeting his legs somewhat.
"Well either way, it's still an improvement from before." Rangiku smiled as she rubbed the boy's head. She was actually growing tired herself, but it felt good having Toshiro close to her, where she felt she could make him as comfortable and safe as possible. "That you did, but your energy seems to get depleted more quickly when you're-" Rangiku said, and paused to yawn slightly before finishing. "sick." She sighed. While Toshiro relaxed against her Rangiku hunched down in the bed slightly, and closed her eyes as she carefully ran here hand through Toshiro's soft hair repeatedly. And by the time he was moving Rangiku hardly even noticed as she began to fall asleep. Even still though she was conscious enough to continue stroking Toshiro's hair as he leaned against her.
"Matsumoto?" Toshiro asked noticing that she had fallen asleep hunched over him.
Rangiku twitched slightly and picked her head up slowly over the course of a few minutes. "What is it?" She asked followed by something that sounded like his name. It took about a minute for her to come completely back to her senses as she rubbed her eyes. "Sorry about that..I was comfortable." She said in a slightly embarrassed tone. "Do you need anything?" She asked over a yawn while straightening her self before running her and through Toshiro's hair once more.
Toshiro's fidgetign had grown quite a bit since Rangiku had taken her brief nap. Now it was clear what was wrong: "I have to go to the bathroom." he said moving a bit to let her know that her grip on him was keeping him from leaving to go. He bit down on his pacifier as the difficulty to hold it grew.
"You need to go to the bathroom?" Rangiku repeated as her half asleep mind processed it. "Alright, here..Just calm down.." She said after a few seconds, and moving out of the way. "Can you walk alright?" Rangiku questioned as she helped Toshiro out of the bed. "Here, lean on me if you need to." She said while rubbing her eyes slightly. "Don't try to run, you might fall.." Rangiku cautioned hoping he'd listen as she had just mopped the floors which were probably still wet.
Toshiro hurriedly got out of the bed. He leaned on Rwangiku while desperately trying not to wet himself. He tried to push Ranigku to get her more alert and help him make it faster all while doing the potty dance. After feeling some urine leak out he realized that it would take too long to go with Rangiku's help and tried to make it himself. Unfortunately this caused him to ignore Rangiku's warning and slip on the floor fand falling back onto his butt. "Ow." he groaned as his bladder released filling the pull up and causing the prints on the front of the pull up to disappear.
Rangiku couldn't help but smile slightly at how Toshiro was dancing about. But still she warned him to walk at a normal pace and not over exert himself. "Don't push now..Wait-" She called after him when he made a run for it, she quickly heard a thump, and guess what it would be as she walked at a brisk pace to Toshiro's aid. "Are you okay?" She asked, ignoring the slight trickling sound she heard coming from the boy's pull-up as he finished urinating. "That's why I said not to run.." She said while helping the boy up as she got a good look at the now sagging pull-up. "It's okay, I know it wasn't your fault..If anything it was mine.." She said while gently hugging the boy. "Would you like me to just carry you?" Rangiku offered as she gently rubbed his back, knowing he would have an even tougher time walking now that he had several ounces of absorbed urine hanging from him.
Toshiro frowned as he was picked up off the ground. He felt her pull him into a hug and buried his face into her tummy wrapping his own arms around her waist for comfort. "I thought I could make it." he sniffled "Now everything hurts." he added in reference to both the slight pain in his joints as well as the fact that he had landed on his bottom fairly hard. It was also clear that the fall had managed to shock him enough that he dropped his pacifier onto the floor. When the offer to carry him came up he nodded his head against her belly.
"Shh, it'll be alright, I'll get you nice and clean again. And then maybe we'll nap for a little while longer before we have a nice dinner." How does that sound?" Rangiku cooed to the sniffling boy. "Alright, let's get back to my room then." She said softly while bending at the waist to retrieve Toshiro's pacifier, and wiping it off on her shirt after rinsing it off in the sink. She had just mopped the floors, but still it never hurt to be careful since Toshiro was already sick. "Cheer up okay? It's not a big deal you couldn't make it..Accidents happen." Rangiku encouraged as she slipped the nipple of the pacifier into Toshiro's moth before scooping him up into her arms, simply ignoring the squish of his wet pull-up against her arms. "Just lay here for a second while I get you a fresh pull-up." Rangiku cooed as she laid the boy down on her bed before making a short trip to retrieve a clean pair of training pants, baby powder, and the package of wet wipes.
And while the indication of the conscious control of his bladder weakening was a bit alarming Rangiku's thoughts shifted on how to cheer the boy up as she returned to the room. "Come on now, I'll get you cleaned up." She promised once more as she set the items down next to the frowning boy. "But first, cheer up." Rangiku said as she gently tickled the boy.
