Powerless/I'll be Gone

Disclaimers I don't own Naruto or RWBY or LINKIN PARK, please support any to all official releases and your local fandom communities.

It was hopeless, pointless even, as Naruto began to pick up his discarded pieces of lumber and tools and threw them around out of frustration.

Seriously, I deserve to be here for being a short sighted idiot, thought Naruto as he kicked a pile of lumber over, before knocking a pale of screws on the ground.

Not far was Ruby who was sitting on the hill, roses in hand and waited for Naruto to calm down so she could propose her idea as to how he could make amends.

A few minutes passed, and Naruto finished his fit of anger as he sat on the still ashen stoop of the orphanage before Ruby began to approach the blonde.

"Finally calmed down" asked Ruby, "Yeah, actually I did" said Naruto as he exhaled a deep breath before looking at Ruby with a more relaxed expression on his face.

"Where did you get those" asked Naruto as he was referring to the flowers Ruby had in hand, "I found them while I was walking in town, thinking about what you said" answered Ruby.

"Yeah, I'm sorry I said all that, I was just angry and so frustrated how our efforts literally didn't accomplished jack" said Naruto, "Well if it means anything, for 2 people who never worked a day in construction or carpentry, I don't think most people would judge us for trying" said Ruby.

"So I thought of what better and more simple way to make amends than with these" said Ruby as she handed Naruto the bouquet.

"I don't think roses are going to make up for the fact I deliberately burned down an orphanage" said Naruto, "Well we clearly got no skills in building jack, plus I don't see anyone ready to be adopted" said Ruby.

While her words had merit, Naruto wasn't certain that this act would be enough for him to repent.

"But what if it doesn't work" asked Naruto as Ruby rested her hand over his, "Naruto, I'm certain that it'll work, if not than no matter what I'll forever be by your when you feel empowered or powerless, you just have to let it go and pour your emotions into it" said Ruby.

Truth of the matter, Naruto's biggest problem right now was choosing to hold it all in, his regrets, his hatred, and the bitterness, especially to some who's gone to reveal the skeletons in her closet.

Maybe he was afraid to further be careless in letting it all fall apart, but he made a promised to Sasuke, and the only way he'll be able to keep it is by doing what's right for the one person who's willing to hold off from moving on, just for him.

"Alright Ruby" said Naruto as he began to get up from the stoop, and dust as much as off it.

Once it was clean enough, Naruto took a minute to reflect before letting out a deep breath and rested the roses onto the orphanage step.

Back away from the orphanage, Naruto and Ruby were amazed to see the place rebuild itself before their very eyes as both were smiling wide over this phenomenal.

"Naruto you did it" said Ruby happily as she threw herself and hugged her friend as Naruto began to genuinely laugh in pure joy over what had happened.

"Yeah we didn't, we did it because we're best friends" laughed Naruto as this got Ruby to laugh over the most cheesiest friendship quote since ever.

Eventually both began to glow as both back away from this, before realizing that this must be the clear sign they were finally moving on.

As this happened, life seemed to be moving forward as the sun began to fade out so another may rise, the breeze of the wind was once more felt on their skin, and everything seemed to be more alive.

"Heh, guess our time to finally leave this place has come" said Naruto as Ruby ran up and hugged him once more.

"Please don't let go, I don't know if we'll get to see each other again" said Ruby since when all was said and done, they'd honestly never know what was waiting for them on the other side.

Out of gratitude and assurance, Naruto returned the hug as he looked down on Ruby.

"Naruto, do you think we'll still get to be friends after what comes next" asked Ruby, as Naruto began to chose his next words carefully, in case these were going to be last words he'll ever tell her.

"Like how the sun is fading out, another one will rise, so when the lights do go out keep your eyes open, otherwise I'll be gone" said Naruto as this brought Ruby down a little.

"Unless you don't look away, cause there's nothing left to stop either of us, since only we can hope to see each other again, and honestly I want nothing more than to continue our existence in the next life and the next one after as friends" said Naruto.

Ruby could only look up and smile at Naruto and let out tears of joy as both refused to pull or look away as their existence continues to fade until there nothing left of their existence.

California

If there was anything you can guarantee to find in California, you could always find vegans, hippies, and a need for political correctness.

And you could usually find all of that and then some at a Whole Foods market, be it the costumers or the employees.

Speaking of which we see a one employee who stood out, he had natural medium length red hair, blue eyes, tanned skin, and whisker shaped birthmarks on his cheeks, and this employee was currently making and packing fresh squeezed orange juice.

"Hey Art, you got a minute" called someone as Art began to stop what he was doing, "What's up boss" asked Art, "Listen we got a new girl working with us today, and we're having her shadow you if that's ok".

"Sure thing boss" Art said with a smile as his coworker introduced his underling, who happened to have short blonde pixie hair, also tanned skin, but what definitely stood out was her innocent face and smile, not to mention her silver eyes.

"Her names Breck, it's her first day actually on the field, so be sure to take things slow and steady" said the employee, "Sure thing boss. Hey what's up, names Art" introduced Art as both he and Breck shook hands.

Even before making a physical contact, both had felt some sort of connection to one another, as if they'd met before in a previous life.

"Hey, I'm Breck" Breck said awkwardly as they ended their handshake, "Right, so follow me, we're going to work what everyone calls 'Art's Corner'" said Art as he lead Breck to a far vacant corner, away from the rest of their employees.

The corner in questions had numerous plastic bottles and caps, 2 large sinks, a machine to squeeze oranges, and a mountain of organic oranges in a box near a corner of the room.

"Alright, so here's what we're going to do, I'll start filling up the sink with more oranges, you finish squeezing out and bottling and labeling the rest, sound cool" asked Art.

"Sounds good to me" said Breck, "Nice" said Art as he began to take out his phone and began to play some LINKIN PARK through his speaker that he kept above on the shelves, which got Breck's attention.

"Before you ask, I'm allowed to play music and sorry it just so happens to be LINKIN PARK" Art said as he put his hands up, "Don't be, I like them too" said Breck with a smile.

Hearing that, and both feeling an odd connection, both could tell that this was a start to a beautiful new friendship.

"Then have any requests" asked Art as he still had his phone out, "If you could play the song Heavy, that be nice" said Breck as Art oblige before both of them continued to do their work.

Hey guys, thank you all for being here and reading this all out to the end, and for your guys' support.

Thankfully it sprinkled a little where I live, so it doesn't taste like lead most of the time whenever I breath in the air, so I was able to get this done.

Looking back, last chapter could've been turned into one, so I do apologize for trying to write while suffering from being poisoned by the air.

Regardless I hope this conclusion satisfies you all especially since a while back LINKIN PARK announced that they were going to do an anniversary edition for not only their first record but as a band coming out this September, so this goes out to the band for doing something so awesome for us fans.

Other than that I'd like to thank you all for your support and being here till the very end, I don't know when or if I'll ever make another one of these, but in case you wanted some more Naruto, RWBY, and LINKIN PARK fic's like this, I did mention I created something a few years back, and it's called One More Light, so feel free to give that a read.

This has been your Humble Narrator Tobi Yaza.
